A lady identified as @Allison has narrated via the microblogging platform X, how she was almost kidnapped after a different woman arrived as her cab driver.

Sharing the story in several tweets, she described the situation as strange as the wrong driver tried to convince her to get into the car.

She wrote;

“Something veryyyyyyy strange just happened 💀 I booked a ride and it’s a lady with a black Toyota Matrix. She called to say she’s outside. I go out, she’s parked at house 5. Once I came out, a Toyota Corolla parks just in front of me (a lady too) and asks me to come in. I looked up and saw the Matrix and I told her I think the person she came to pick up isn’t out yet cos my app says a Matrix, not Corolla. Tell me why this lady goes yes I know, my Matrix is at the mechanic, so I’m using this one now and I came to pick you up. I told her she didn’t come to pick me up cos I can see the Matrix I’m supposed to go with and she still insisted that it’s me she came to pick up, that her Matrix is at the mechanic. Matrix drives down to where we were, I checked my app and the number plate was what I had on the app and I went with her. Even the Matrix was confused after I told her what happened cos how exactly??? I was told she left as soon as I did. She didn’t come to pick anybody up What if the Matrix lady was in on it so, a lady too came around. Cos that one was asking me when we got to my destination if I added a trip. More like if I wanted her to wait for me so that she could take me somewhere else too. Plus they both had dark shades on fgs!”

Popular Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has revealed that before YBNL boss Olamide, consented to sign him, he pleaded with him for about two years.

The “Peace Be Unto You” crooner claimed that Olamide invited him to his house one day at random and asked whether he would want to be on his record label, which he accepted right away.

The Afrobeats phenomenon claimed that while the native rapper advised him to see a lawyer and carefully review the conditions of the agreement, he was too thrilled and signed right away.

Nigerian media personality, Moet Abebe, has said that women who are vocal are disliked by netizens, particularly those in Nigeria.

She made this assertion in an interview with Tacha on Cool FM’s Big Friday show.

According to Abebe, who has faced criticism for some of her provocative views on the Bahd and Boujee Podcast with co-host Tolani Baj, the internet dislikes assertive women.

Moet said,

“The internet in general or let me just say, the internet in Nigeria. The internet, in general, doesn’t seem to like outspoken women.

Nigerian singer, Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has outlined the reason why, despite packing stadiums all over the world, he and other Nigerian artists seldom ever tour their own country.

The Peru crooner claimed that although Nigerian music is perfect, there is no structure, which makes doing music tours in the country challenging.

The former YBNL star revealed while speaking to OAP Dotun on Cool FM Lagos that he envisions a time when music lovers would travel from all over the world to Lagos, Nigeria, to attend concerts.

Nigerian lady reportedly passes away after she slumped at a church program

In a very tragic news update, a young Nigerian lady has reportedly passed away after attending a popular church program, Shiloh.

The X user, who shared the sad news online, revealed that the 18-year-old girl had attended the church program and suddenly became weak.

The friend who accompanied her took her to the church clinic where she was administered a pain relief drug and advised to return home.

However, her condition grew worse, and she was rushed to another hospital where she eventually passed away.

@lutherk007 initially tweeted,

“My friend slumped in Shiloh (Winners chapel) she was rushed to the church hospital, the hospital requested 1 million before they could attend to her. She died an hour later 😢😭 💔💔”

He, however, later clarified that she didn’t die in the church hospital but was taken to a different hospital, where they demanded N1 million before she would be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Sadly, she didn’t make it.

Meanwhile, the X user is upset with the church hospital for not giving the deceased proper medical care, and instead choosing to administer pain relief drug.

It was gathered that the power couple had been experiencing issues in their marriage for over a year, but they managed to keep it a secret.

Unfortunately, it seems that their conflict has gone beyond the point of resolution and they’ve now decided to go their separate ways.

Confirming the news, Dilly, who is the chairman of Dilly Motors and the Dredgers Association of Nigeria, said,

“Yes it’s true, after 17 years of dating and 15 years of being married, I’m afraid it’s all crumbled due to irreconcilable differences.”

He added that “the only reason i’m responding to this is to clear the air and avoid any questions or embarrassment should either of us be seen with other partners.”

Nollywood actress, Mary Remmy-Njoku, has revealed that her husband, businessman Jason Njoku, proposed marriage to her only four days after they started dating.

Mary made this surprising revelation in a post shared via her Instagram page while celebrating her husband on his birthday on Monday, December 11.

According to the mother of three, she didn’t know how to react to his proposal because she felt four days was too soon to be considering marriage.

She said they dated for eighteen months before they eventually got married, and lived a humble life at the beginning of their marriage.

She explained that they slept on a mattress on the floor, shared a kitchen with five other people, and even had to use her car because he didn’t have one.

Mary, however, noted that her husband was very hardworking and ambitious.

He just turned 30. He requested a picture with me. See him standing like a gentleman. Don’t be fooled.

British-Nigerian actor, Damson Idris, has a message for black men who constantly disrespect and talk down on black women.

In a post shared via his Instastory, Damson expressed his displeasure with such men, citing the alarming rate at which some black men show hatred towards black women.

According to him, some of these men feel the need to ‘humble’ black women because it makes them feel like a man, but in reality, it doesn’t.

A Nigerian man, identified as Ushie Benard, has penned an emotional tribute to his late fiancée who died a year ago.

The deceased young lady, Blessing Ebodo, passed away in a car accident on December 12, 2022, just two weeks to their wedding.

The tragic accident took place along the Calabar-Ikom Highway, claiming the life of the nurse who hailed from Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State. Two other people in the car survived the accident with varying degrees of injuries.

The couple’s wedding was scheduled to take place on the 27th of December, 2022, but sadly, Ushie lost her to the cold hands of death.

Taking to Facebook on the first anniversary of her death, Ushie shared a heart-moving tribute to the love of his life.

He wrote,

“Exactly one year today you traveled and never returned home alive. Your death shattered my heart and left me in pains,your love and care will never be forgotten.

Saying goodbye is not easy. It’s the hardest thing to do. But what hurt even more is the chance to say it to you.
