The 2-year old marriage of popular blogger Emeh Achanga of Misspetite Nigeria has crashed and she’s opened up on the many instances of abuse that thrived in her marriage.
In a recent interview, the mother of one gave details on how her 2-year old marriage eventually crashed in the early part of 2017. According to Emeh, she endured many instances of infidelity, emotional and psychological trauma that aided the post-partum depression which was already battling with which led to her almost taking her own life.
In her words; ”post partum depression is something most Nigerians are oblivious too .
“It’s sad because about 60 percent of women go through post partum depression and instead of partners to be supportive,most men withdraw ,get lovers or sidechicks.”
“I suffered depression because I grew up to be very independent, didn’t take much time i found myself pregnant.”
“My blog which was my life ,suddenly became less of a priority .I could not connect with my readers any more and instead of reaching out ,I recoiled into my shell.”
“I Watched my rankings slip and then my partner who was supposed to be supportive ,didn’t notice I was slipping into depression .Here I was with a baby who depended on me for everything and because my work is something I can do from home …my partner was always out at work and I now had to combine motherhood and blogging which is a full time 18 hour job’.
She continued to say, ‘so as my rankings plumetted because I could not keep up,I hated myself,my spouse and everyone .Cut off from family ,friends and attempted to kill myself. And guess what ,when I spoke to my spouse about my suicidal thoughts ,he laughed. The only thing which kept me going was my daughter .I felt I owed it to her to stay alive. It is a struggle and everyday is still a battle with depression. Postnatal depression is real and I am going to raise alot of awareness about it. Celebrities like Chrissy Teigen recently revealed she suffers from it and takes treatment till date.”
A Nigerian Twitter user isn’t given ladies a chance to break his heart this 2017, as he’s said he’d be sealing his next relationship with a blood covenant..
The guy, warned that the girl who eventually agrees to date him, after entering into a blood covenant with him, will run mad if she breaks his heart.

Nigerian media personality, Layole Oyatogun has taken to her Instagram page to disclose that she discovered she was the chic of her boyfriend on Christmas day.
The popular OAP in a reflective post about how her 2017 went, said she couldn’t get into her boyfriend’s house because he had another girl inside.

Yesterday, we brought you reports of a bride who went on her Instagram page to accuse a designer of giving her wedding reception dress to actress Mercy Aigbe to use for her 40th birthday shoot.

This was too bad. On the 29th of December 2017 which happens to be a day to my wedding, a greedy designer decided to ruin my big day. I cried all day no stop.
I bought this lovely fabric from @bshani_bridalfbrics and asked her to deliver to this designer @rikaotobyme after I had concluded the style and price with @rikaotobyme I made a 50% payment to her as soon the fabric got to her.
Told her its my wedding reception dress she assured me it will be ready on 26th. on that 26th i chatted her up to ask for my dress she replied saying it was ready as u can see on the chat above, she also said she will send a pics, eventually now sent a video d next day which was 27th u can also see that on the chat above.
I sent the balance 50% to her on 28th when I had seen the dress and was satisfied, she couldn’t send that day cos all flights coming to Benin that day were cancelled. So we were now left with 29th a day to my wedding, I called her by 6am that morning and she told me d delivery Guy has gone to d park to send my dress that she will send the waybill details(sending details ) across shortly. I waited till 9am no words from her.
I started calling to ask for the waybill details she wasn’t taking my calls, atimes she even cut the calls. I sent several messages no response at 1pm I started crying cos the situation got beyond my control.
My hubby,friends and family requested for the number and also started calling her but she obviously decided not to take any calls again. Until 4pm when I was drained in tears she then called and was apologising that she didn’t know what to say to me that y she refuse taking calls, she continued saying the delivery guy she gave my dress to is no where to be found.
when she heard how I was crying she then suggested to give me one of her old dresses for me to use for the day, I had no choice cos I was desperate I then accepted it.i got d dress on my wedding morning.

We would have preferred if this matter was addressed directly to us for a quick resolution and to avoid the media frenzy, but unfortunately it wasn’t. . . . We hold our clients dearly and offer our services on first come first served bases with no iota of discrimination or insinuation of such. . . . We admit that a dispatch error occurred in the delivery of a dress to Miss Lawrentta, who was set to get married on the 30th December, 2017 and the pick up of another dress on behalf of actress, Mercy Aigbe. . . . Please note that both dresses were of the same style, the same colour (red) and almost the same measurement. . . . On realising the error on dispatch, we quickly tried to rectify the mix up. Popular Nigerian On-Air Personality, Olufemi Oluwajobi popularly known as Radio MD (Music Dynamite), has been reported dead after he was hit by a drunk driver on 1st of January.
The deceased who only just celebrated his birthday on December 22nd, was on his way to join some friends at Palms Mall, venue of Ibadan Countdown, after his shift on December 31st when he was knocked down by the drunk driver.
He was said to have left his car at home because of traffic, and was hit while waiting to take a motorcycle also known as Okada to Ring road.
Femi, who is survived by a wife and kid, will be laid to rest at Sango cemetery today, January 2nd.

The judge handling the case of attempted assassination of Senator Dino Melaye, Justice Aromeh Benson Akogu, has reportedly died.
Akogu, who is the Kabba Resident High Court Judge in Kogi State, died in Anyigba on Sunday, 31st December, 2017 at about 11:40pm during a watch night service to 2018.
The News Agency of Nigeria quotes a reliable source close to the family of the late judge as saying he (Akogu) had vowed not to sleep before the cross-over to 2018.
The source also disclosed that the judge was not sick nor showed any symptoms of ill health before his sudden death.
His wife, Vicky, who confirmed the death, said the late judge and a one-time Director of Public Prosecution in the state, was hale and hearty before his sudden death.
She said that she watched her husband’s death like a movie and could hardly believe it.
Commenting on the incident from Akogu family house in Idah, the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Yahaya Ademu, said the body had been deposited at the Grimmard Hospital Mortuary, Anyigba.
The late judge, said to be in his late 50’s was handling the case of an attempted assassination of the senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, until his death.
The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has placed a N200 million bounty on the suspected gunmen that killed over 20 persons returning from the Cross Over Service on the first day of the year.
According to reports, more than 20 persons returning from their individual cross-over service were shot dead by unknown gunmen in Omoku Rivers state.
The gunmen, armed with sophisticated weapons, went from house-to-house, shooting people in the area.

While visiting the community this morning, the governor pledged to fish out those behind the gruesome attack.
One of the victims of the attack, who lost her husband and child in the attack, told the Governor that the hoodlums stormed her home on the day of the attack and suddenly started shooting anyone in sight.
Nigerian Singer, Joshua Iniyezo better known by his stage name, Solidstar, has parted ways with his record label, Achievas Entertainment after ten years of working together.
SolidStar, who burst into limelight with his street anthem “One in a Million” and remix to the hit song with 2Baba, announced the mutual termination of his contract with the record label under which he released four albums, on his Instagram page on New Year’s Day.
The singer who deleted all his pictures on Instagram, said:

The record label also made a statement confirming the end of its contract with Solidstar, saying:

All previous recording audios, music videos, albums of the singer remains property of Achievas Entertainment.

Muslims in Nigeria have reportedly demanded for their own holiday – equivalent of 1st of January, which is the beginning of the year.
In a statement signed by the Director of the Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the group revealed that for Nigerian Muslims to feel a sense of belonging, the Federal Government must close the gap between Christians and Muslims.

“As usual and since colonial days into Nigeria’s post-independence period, the Federal Government declared today, 1st January 2018, as a public holiday.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) observes that today’s holiday fully consolidated the two-day Christmas holiday and enabled Nigerian Christians to kick off the 2018 Christo-Western Gregorian calendar.
However, conscious Nigerian Muslims, particularly stakeholders in the welfare of Muslims as well as the growth and development of Islam in Nigeria, approached today’s holiday with mixed feelings.
Our feeling of marginalization arises from the reality of the Nigerian situation which has conditioned Muslims in the country for religious segregation and subjected them to spiritual apartheid.
Here we are today, enjoying January 1st holiday which was declared by the Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria in recognition of the Christo-Western Gregorian calendar.
But the same FG which recognizes this Christian calendar is yet to declare 1st Muharram a public holiday in recognition of the Islamic calendar despite several petitions and appeals to it dating back to the 60s. Surprisingly, some people still complain that Nigeria is Islamised!
Why is FG granting holiday for a false god of Rome and denying same for Allah the Creator of all things (Qur’an 2:29),the Judge of all Judges (95:8), Master of all masters (51:58) and the King of Kings (3:26).
Research reveals that 1st January is in honour of Janus, the Roman god of gates whom the Romans believed protected them from invasions. This is an incontrovertible fact. Why should FG force us to idolize the false god of Rome?
MURIC charges FG to drop its colonial garb and to don a truly nationalistic identity. For Nigerian Muslims to feel a sense of belonging, FG must close the gap between Christians and Muslims.”

The traditional wedding ceremony between Uchechi Iweala, the medical doctor son of former finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the granddaughter of the late literary icon Prof. Chinua Achebe, Chioma Achebe recently held in Umuahia, Abia State.
Uchechi Iweala is a Harvard-trained scholar having graduated from the Harvard Medical School in 2014. He works in Washington, DC and specializes in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Afam was said to have been flown to London for treatment after he allegedly slumped during Christmas week.
This was disclosed Sunday afternoon at Uburu, Ebonyi state at the country home of former Governor of old Abia state and serving minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu during the all important South East zonal meeting of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
It was observed that the Imo state chairman of the APC, Chief Hilary Eke was the only state chairman of the party missing at the event while Governor Okorocha’s conspicuous absence was excused by the host, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.
While presenting his goodwill message to the party leaders, Onu explained the absence of Okorocha who is also the Chairman, Progressive Governors’ Forum.
He said:
“I had been in communication with Governor Okorocha and he had assured me that he would attend this meeting but sometime last week, the Governor called me to explain that he may not be able to attend afterall as his son had taken ill and had been hospitalized in a London.”
Onu thereafter prayed for the quick recovery of Aham Okorocha.
Government House sources, however, confirmed that during the Christmas week, Aham Okorocha, a first Class Engineer, had slumped and had to be rushed off to the hospital and subsequently flown overseas for treatment accompanied by the Governor and the Imo First lady.
Tension and apprehension in government circle dissipated late last week when the Governor returned to the state and news filtered in that Aham is stable and responding to treatments.

Well, a lot of Nigerians woke up to the news of Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, who said God has told him not to end his political career as he had earlier contemplated.
Specifically, the 63-year-old Clergyman, who contested as the vice-presidential candidate on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 presidential election, said God told him to run for the Presidency.
The cleric spoke in the early hours of Monday during the watch night service at the Latter Rain Assembly in the Ogba area of Lagos.
Giving a rundown of the 12 major things he said God had revealed to him would happen in 2018, Bakare explained that God had not told him when the “appointed time” to run for the presidency would be.
“This twelfth one is a difficult one for me. It may draw excitement or condemnation. I have tried my best to keep it (to myself) but the Holy Spirit will not allow me to do so.
“In my study around 4am on Sunday morning, God told me ‘you cannot bring your political career to a close; there is still more to do. Run for the Presidency. I will do it at the appointed time,” the pastor added.
Bakare declared that he was unfazed by the daunting task that his aspiration might pose, expressing confidence that once the Lord had spoken, it was left for God to perform it, adding that ‘some political juggernauts will fall at the feet of women this year’
The former RCCG pastor said ;
“Joseph (in the Bible) did not contest an election; yet, he became the prime minister of Egypt. Why must I worry myself about where to get the resources for the task? Your own duty in this assignment is to pray along with me. When it is the appointed time, He (God) will do it. When He tells me the time, you will hear about it,”
“In 1998, I told you that I saw your President dying between two women. Did it happen? I’m telling you again: some of these political juggernauts will fall at the feet of women and you will see it happen,”
“I heard the Lord say to me, politics is not over for you, there is still one thing left for you to do; run for president,” Bakare told the church.
“And He said to me, I will work it out myself. I will make it happen in due course. Please trust me, I lie not in the Holy Ghost. This is not easy for me to share with you. I shared this with you, so that you can pray along with me,” he added.
The revered preacher said God has not told him the exact time, adding that the Lord said “I will make it happen in due course”.

WHO IS TUNDE BAKARE?
Bakare was born November 11, 1954 in Ogun state, southwest, Nigeria. Two year after his birth, he lost his father and was primarily raised by his mother, Abigail Eebudola Bakare, who clocked 108 in 2016.
He attended Lisabi Grammar School, Abeokuta, before moving on to University of Lagos, to study law, at a time Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was studying the same course at the same school.
According to Bakare, he had a vision of Obafemi Awolowo, premiere of the western region, in his very early years, which highlighted his assignment as a preacher and a voice in Nigeria.

Catholic priest and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has made a u-turn in his support of President Muhammadu Buhari, warning him that Nigerians will ‘change’ him in 2019 if he does not change his style of leadership.

Making the declaration at the Adoration Ground, in Emene, Enugu, Mbaka, who has always been one of Buhari’s most vocal supporters, said that Buhari was ‘toying’ with the victory he got in 2015.
He expressed dissatisfaction with Buhari’s leadership, which, according to him contributed to making 2017 one of the most horrible years in Nigeria’s history, Punchreports.
The outspoken Priest said ;
“Listen to me – 2017 became one of the most horrible years in this country,”
“The Lord says captive Nigerians, you will be speedily rescued. Things are very very difficult, hard and tough nowadays. The hardship is not from God, they are man-made.
“The wicked cabal and satanic agents in this country have wickedly kidnapped the goodwill and good intentions of Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari. His good intentions have been kidnapped.
“President Buhari must wake up and sit up immediately. Heaven demands Buhari, our President, to change all those who are holding and caging him in captivity. If he will not change them, he will be changed.
“Mr. President, wake up, sit up. God said you are toying with the privilege given to you. There is no time. Nigerians are dying in your hands. People are not happy with your system.
“Change or you will be changed – God said that Buhari is in trouble. Buhari is hypnotised. Buhari is in a horrible bondage. Buhari’s mantra has been cannibalised.
“Unless President Buhari quickly and strategically positions the right people and changes the former ones inaugurated by him, the wind of change, that he himself inaugurated, will blow him away shamefully.
“The wind will be too strong that Mr. President and the cabal will be blown out of office shamefully.
“The wind will be irresistible for it will come like a hurricane. Buhari can handle this problem but his office, if he is not careful, another will take.
“Change or you will be changed; after all, you are the one who introduced change as your mantra.”
Mbaka also faulted Buhari’s anti-corruption campaign, saying rather than the said cabal, the number one citizen should be blamed for the problems in the country.
“Mr. President, you are to be blamed, not your cabal. You have your brooms, but the cabals have their bags; either you sweep them away or they throw you into the bag.
“His (Buhari’s) pattern of battling corruption is not just archaic and barbaric; it is a witch-hunt, terribly selective.
“Mr. Buhari, as the President, why should you be picking and choosing those that you and your so-called EFCC man would want to arrest, so that your party becomes a hideout for criminals, so that any person who does not want to be arrested will become an APC person? Is that not corruption in itself?
“It is the same people that go to the APC, they drop their umbrella and pick the broom, but instead of using the broom to sweep away corruption, they are using it to sweep money into their pockets.
The fiery priest advised Buhari against seeking a second term and warned him that he risks being ‘blown away shamefully’ by the wind of change which he set off when he defeated former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, adding that Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwanbo, was an alternative for the North to complete its eight years at the top office.

The Kwara state police command has released a statement, and said the attack has no religious undertone.

“The Kwara State Police Command wishes to assure the good people of Kwara state, of its capacity to deal decisively with any body arrested, for being a part of the breakdown of law and order that was witnessed in Taiwo Isale area of Ilorin, by hoodlums early this morning, in spite the peace and harmony being enjoyed in the state before, during the yuletide and even now.
At about 02;00am of today, some youths that were prevented from carrying out what was termed New year carnival by the community leaders of the area for fear of the process turning into a security threat, owing to previous years experiences.
In protest to the denial, the youths resorted into throwing bangers indiscriminately at all gatherings in the vicinity including religious gatherings celebrating the new year cross -over services, three (3) persons were injured in the resulting stampede, both the catholic, methodist and other churches in the area,including a muslim group called Quareeb team, holding their programme in an adjoining school were attacked, some vehicles belonging to both worshippers were damaged.
It is important to note, that the attack has no religious undertone. It is simple an unlawful act by the disgruntled youths of the area, as both the Christian and Muslim gatherings in the area werr attacked.
Ten (10) suspects have been arrested, the injured already taken to the hospital and are responding to treatment. Investigation into the matter has commenced.
Good people of Kwara are admonished to continue with their lawful endeavours and disregard the insinuation that the crisis was between the Muslim and Christian, as Kwara state is known for her harmonious relationship among all religious group, please.

A Nigerian lady has called out a fashion designer who disappointed her on her wedding day.

This was too bad. On the 29th of December 2017 which happens to be a day to my wedding, a greedy designer decided to ruin my big day. I cried all day no stop.
I bought this lovely fabric from @bshani_bridalfbrics and asked her to deliver to this designer @rikaotobyme after I had concluded the style and price with @rikaotobyme I made a 50% payment to her as soon the fabric got to her.
Told her its my wedding reception dress she assured me it will be ready on 26th. on that 26th i chatted her up to ask for my dress she replied saying it was ready as u can see on the chat above, she also said she will send a pics, eventually now sent a video d next day which was 27th u can also see that on the chat above.
I sent the balance 50% to her on 28th when I had seen the dress and was satisfied, she couldn’t send that day cos all flights coming to Benin that day were cancelled. So we were now left with 29th a day to my wedding, I called her by 6am that morning and she told me d delivery Guy has gone to d park to send my dress that she will send the waybill details(sending details ) across shortly. I waited till 9am no words from her.
I started calling to ask for the waybill details she wasn’t taking my calls, atimes she even cut the calls. I sent several messages no response at 1pm I started crying cos the situation got beyond my control.
My hubby,friends and family requested for the number and also started calling her but she obviously decided not to take any calls again. Until 4pm when I was drained in tears she then called and was apologising that she didn’t know what to say to me that y she refuse taking calls, she continued saying the delivery guy she gave my dress to is no where to be found.
when she heard how I was crying she then suggested to give me one of her old dresses for me to use for the day, I had no choice cos I was desperate I then accepted it.i got d dress on my wedding morning.
