“My husband doesn’t watch my movies. But I think he has heard about the clown I am in movies (laughter). Nevertheless, I adore him for being my backbone and supporter of my career.

Jamb Official’s housemaid, the “Snake Girl” accused of swallowing 36 million finally speaks

For the first time after she was accused of turning to a snake through which she swallowed N36m from the vault in the account office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, in Makurdi, Benue State, 16-year-old Dor, has opened a can of worms to DAILY POST.

Philomena Chieshe, a sales clerk in JAMB office, Makurdi shocked the world penultimate weeks ago after she claimed that her housemaid connived with another JAMB staff, Joan Asen, to “spiritually” swallow N36m from the vault in her office.

In her confessional statement while being interrogated by a team of auditors, she said that Joan Asen and her accomplices confessed that they have been stealing the money “spiritually” through a mysterious snake that always sneaked into the office to swallow the money from the vault.

According to her “It was a mystery to me too. I have been saving the money in the bank, but I found it difficult to account for it. So I started saving it in a vault in the office. But each time I open the vault, I will find nothing. I became worried and surprised how the millions of Naira could be disappearing from the vault.

“I began to interrogate everybody in the house and office, and no one could agree on what might have happened to the money. I continued to press until my housemaid confessed. She said that the money disappeared “spiritually”. She said that a “mysterious snake” sneaked into the house and swallowed the money in the vault.”

However, when DAILY POST reached out to the erstwhile housemaid, who was relieved of her job following the shocking revelation in November 2017, she denied ever confessing to have turned to a snake or swallowing any money.

Dor, a native of Angantiv in Obi LGA of Nasarawa State, recalled that her ‘madam’ truly went to Plateau State for a conference last year but she did not follow her.

According to her, few days after returning home from the crusade, hosted by a popular man of God in Jos, her boss (Philomena) asked her to go that she was relocating to Abuja.

“That was towards the end of 2017. I was at home when they went for the crusade. When madam came back from Jos, she asked me to go that they were relocating to Abuja and she would not go with me.

“I came to her house in 2015 July and I did not at any point steal even her one kobo before I left last year. Maybe she was not referring to me, but I am sure she didn’t have any maid before and after me,” Dor, who now resides in Karu area of Nasarawa said when an insider directed us to her new residence.

When this reporter stormed Philomena’s family house in High Level, Makurdi on Saturday to confirm if it was Dor, who actually turned to a snake, a man we met there said she had since relocated.

“Madam Philo no dey live here again,” he said rudely.

Meanwhile, when DAILY POST reached Fabian O. Okoro, JAMB’s director of Information and Technology, for update Monday morning, he did not reply our text at the time of this report.

“Ebony has assured me she will return” – Mother.

The Mother of late Ghanaian dance-hall artiste, Ebony Reigns has said her daughter has assured her she will return – Madam Beatrice Oppong says the late musician told her this when she visited her recently to console her.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Madam Oppong revealed that the ‘Mame Hw3’ hit singer visited her in her dream and urged her to take heart and stop crying because she will be coming back to her.

She said the singer told her: “Maa m?san aba” to mean ‘Mum I shall return’.

Ebony, together with two others, died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Accra Highway on the 8th of February when she was returning to Accra after visiting her mother.

Born Pricilla Opoku-Kwarteng, she would have turn 21 years on Friday, February 16, 2018. Even though she is gone, Beatrice Oppong wished her late daughter a happy birthday “wherever she may be” and said she really loves her.

She disclosed that she had visited the scene of the accident and expressed the pain she is currently experiencing.

When Madam Oppong was asked if she was not worried that her daughter had decided to travel late that day, the singer’s mum noted that she was concerned and several attempts to get Ebony to leave the following day proved futile.

The singer, she said, explained to her that she had to return to Accra to embark on her first international tour. Ebony left around 9 pm on Thursday, February 8 to go pick her things from the hotel, she added.

Madam Oppong said her daughter arrived the morning of that fateful day – February 8 – and decided to lodge at a hotel.

“I love you, I will miss you, mum. Sweet mum,” Madam Oppong revealed were Ebony’s last words to her before she left.

A one-week memorial service has been scheduled for Sunday, February 18, 2018, in Accra for the late singer.

“Why I left Don Jazzy’s MAVINs Records” – Iyanya.

Nigerian singing sensation, Iyanya, has shared why he exited Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records in less than two years after joining the record label.

The singer who rose to prominence after his MTN project Fame win, seem to have been fed up with life under Don Jazzy as he’s said to have struggled to repeat the same feat that made him one of the country’s promising music stars half a decade ago.

Iyanya says his decision to leave the label was because of his plan to keep seeking for ways to become better with his music career that many people believed was failing.

The singer, now signed to The Temple Music, in a recent radio interview, said he discovered it was time for him to move on and face new challenges life might throw at him, adding that he remains a Mavin for life.

Earlier today, we shared photos of an interesting woman, Sophia Vegas – a lady said to have the world’s tiniest waist – out and about as she shopped in the streets of Los Angeles.

More details of Sophia have come our way as we discover that she actually removed 4 of her ribs in order to have her status as woman with the world’s tiniest waist.

The 30-year-old allegedly underwent surgery to have four ribs removed last year in an attempt to obtain her miniature waist – in new photos, the German-born whose real name is Sophia Wollersheim, flaunted her unique ultra-small midriff in a black mesh bodice.

Her 18.5 inch midriff certainly turned heads in the Californian city as she dressed to impress while on a shopping trip – she paired her skin-tight bodice, which had a sheer top to show off her cleavage, with a pair of figure-hugging black leggings and high heels.

She accessorized to the max in a huge pair of black bejewelled sunglasses, diamond bracelets and anklets and a designer handbag. The self-described DJ and showgirl finished off her look with a slick of red lippy and matching red nails.

The busty model revealed she was inspired by A-list celebrities including Cher and Brigitte Bardot who also allegedly had ribs removed to achieve their iconic look.

It’s reported that Sophia had a boob job, bringing her up to a size 70K, as well as surgery on her nose, and it’s also speculated that she’s had bum implants.

In September she hit back at trolls by sharing a bikini bathroom selfie with her 140,000 Instagram followers.

She said:

“I love my new body and have so many beautiful things coming my way before the sun sets on my life.

“I wish you all that you can find your happiness as I do and stop you from caring about your shortcomings – be it the chest, the belly, or your lack of confidence.”

Sophia is the the ex-wife of famous Dusseldorf red-light district kingpin Bert Wollersheim, and she came second in Germany’s version of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

“It is true, I am married” — Dee One #BBNaija

Tonight, Khloe and KBrule were disqualified from the Big Brother Naija Show, Princess & Bitto were evicted… and then, Dee-One and Vandora were also evicted.

During Dee-one’s stay in the house, there were pictures from Dee-One’s marriage that leaked, and it was reported that the comedian was indeed married.

Recall during his entrance to the house, Dee-One claimed he was in a “Serious relationship”, but didn’t categorically state that he’s a married man…………….. Now during the Live eviction show, He has confirmed that he is indeed married.

Ebuka threw the question at him… and at first he mumbled, and he later confirmed his marriage.. Though, he said he and his partner both agreed to keep it a secret..and to keep his private life, private!

Vandora on the other hand said she had a feeling that Dee-One must be a married man, as this is because she’s threw several advances at him, and he turned them all down.

Vandora also said the reason why she was probably evicted, was because she played too safe because of her boyfriend!

Best of luck the housemates disqualified tonight!

BBNaija 2018 Eviction: How Nigerians voted for their favorite pair

BBNaija 2018 Eviction

Following the drama that Big Brother Naija brought to us this evening – the first set of housemates to be evicted from the show and the disqualification of other housemates – here’s how Nigerians voted for their favourite housemates.

BBNaija 2018 Eviction
KBrule and Khloe Disqualified from the Big Brother Naija Show.

Moments ago it was announced that the PRITTO and VANDEE pairs were the first set of housemates who’d be leaving the Big Brother Naija; Double Wahala house, but technically, it was the K-Brule, Khloe and K-Brule pair who got to leave the big brother house first.

Vandora and Dee-One Evicted.

This was because the pair got disqualified by biggie after hitting three strikes during the course of the game… hearts were broken, tears flowed after it was announced that she, who was the head of house and her partner should leave the big brother house.

That being said, here’s how Nigerians voted for their favorite housemates after they announced that they were up for possible eviction…

BBNaija 2018 Eviction

Quite the drama for one night y’all… we certainly can’t handle the heat!

#BBNaija: Dee-one and Vandora evicted

Vandora evicted

There’s so much drama tonight in the Big Brother house and honestly, we’re really feeling the heat…

Another set of Big Brother Naija housemates leaving the house tonight is VANDEE (Vandora and Dee-one) as their eviction have been announced by Ebuka during the live show.

This is after pair PRITTO, Princess and Bitto were earlier on, evicted from the show.

It’s really sad to see a total of 6 housemates leave in one night and truly, they really brought the drama and w really hate to see them go.

Well, it’s apparent things will begin to get serious in the big brother house from now on as housemates will be hit with the reality that there’s no play in the Big Brother house.

#BBNaija Eviction: Princess and Bitto evicted

Princess and Bitto Evicted from the Big Brother Naija Show 2018.

After one week of waiting earnestly to see the first set of housemates to be evicted from the big brother house, it’s just been announced that pair, PRITTO (Princess and Bitto) have been evicted from the big brother house.

Sadly, we won’t be seeing anymore of the Pritto’s pair drama – this comes after the shocking disqualification of Khloe and K-Brule, who broke the rules of biggie in the house.

The pair were hit with the total shock after Biggie announced to them that they’ve been dismissed from the big brother house for breaking his rules.

They certainly would’ve faced this penalty due to the fight they engaged in last night after their weekend party when a drunk K-Brule who tried to kiss Leo, engaged in a war of words with his strategic pair, Khloe – though there isn’t a video clip… it’s said that their quarrel was quite intense that they had to be called to the diary room.

It’s so much drama for one night y’all, as if we hadn’t seen enough with Mracle and Nina, who decided to get down beneath the sheet the same night the whole K-Brule Khloe ish went down.

There’d be one more eviction tonight!

KBrule and Khloe disqualified from #BBNaija, sent packing

Khloe disqualified
KBrule and Khloe.

BBNaija Housemates, Khloe and K Brule have been disqualified from the Big Brother House, following a bitter exchange they both had last night.

Khloe disqualified

Recall we brought you the reports earlier.. Read Below;

A drunk K. Brule tried to kiss Leo, and got into a fight with Khloe.

Although, there’s no clip yet, but according to viewers of the show, and conversations among the housemates, a very drunk K Brule tried to kiss Leo.

K Brule then told his partner Khloe, and she tried to have a convo with him, but then, an argument started, and they both insulted themselves and involved their parents… Khloe called KBrule’s mother a hoe, and KBrule called her a bastard..

Khloe disqualified

Dee-One was dragged into the mess by KBrule, but he was held back by Tobi and Lolu from attacking the comedian housemate.

The third strike was all that was needed to send the housemates home, as Dee-One and his partner, Vandora got their first strike from Big Brother over his insensitive joke.

Here’s the video below;

A post shared by #BBNaija3 (@bbnaijaa) on

Recall that Big Brother Naija now ex-housemates K.Brule and Khloe were served their first strike, after K.Brule violated a rule in the house. According to Big Brother, K.Brule violated the house’s rule by inflicting injury on himself.

While serving the first strike warning, Big Brother told K.Brule that he will be sent home if he gets 3 strikes. Big brother Naija housemate Khloe was also warned, and partook in K.Brule’s punishment, because she is his partner.

Khloe disqualified

The second strike came after Big Brother Naija housemate, Khloe, who is the current head of house got into a heated fight with her fellow housemate, Alex, on Tuesday because of K-Brule.

It was gathered that the duo started fighting over a drink. Alex who got irritated with Khloe’s rants, stood up for K-Brule and further told Khloe to stop abusing him. The two ladies got uneasy with each other, as they took turns to insult themselves while other housemates watched.

After the heated fight, Khloe was later captured by camera smoking a cigarette with Teddy A to cool off.

“How can you be with a boyfriend who uses an iPhone X and you use an iPhone 6 and he won’t upgrade yours?” – Twitter Users Asks.

A Twitter user, with the name, Bad B*tch is currently causing a frenzy on the microblogging platform after she sent in a quite controversial tweet.

The Twitter user asks why some ladies who are users of popular mobile gadget, iPhone 6, still stick with their boyfriends who use the newly announced iPhone X.

She asks why such ladies put up with such stingy boyfriends… Cause their boyfriends truly love them, they’d upgrade their phones for them.

For her, her God forbids such kind of relationship… She wrote, “I wonder how your boyfriend will be using iPhone X and you the girlfriend will still be using iPhone 6? Why can’t he upgrade your phone for you? and he claims he loves you? I honestly don’t know how some of you girls put up with stingy guys. God forbid”

“Men missed their steps looking at me during police parade” – Police PRO, Dolapo Badmos.

Police Zonal Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police, brings finesse into her police life and even at social functions, she remains the toast of many.

In an interview with PAUL UKPABIO and BIODUN ADEYEWA, of The Nation, she talks about her love life; why she almost dropped out of her police training course and how she missed death narrowly during a police shoot out with robbers.

Congratulations on your recent elevation. Can you enlighten us about your new designation?

I was the Police Public Relation Officer Lagos State, but I have been elevated to be the zonal PRO. That is, the jurisdiction covering Lagos and Ogun states. That is my present position. The police public relations office is at levels; we have the state command, the zonal command, and then The Force PRO. That is a bigger assignment, how do you shuttle between the two states? Its a duty and it is do-able. Today I am in Lagos, tomorrow I will be in Ogun State. I have been juggling daily work between the two states. For me, it is not a burden because I have always had passion for police work. Presently I am on higher ground and I am enjoying it, even though it is a tough work. I still enjoy it because of the passion.

How do you handle being beautiful?

I have been handling that since I was young. I remember while growing up, my mom used to tell me that I am beautiful, that I have big eye balls. My mates then used to talk about my big eye balls and when I got home, I used to report them to my mom. Instead my mom used to look at me alarmed that I had the best thing in the whole world. My mom made me to grow up knowing that I am a beautiful woman. This is a joke, but during those early days while I was at the Police Academy and during our parades, the men among us used to miss their steps because they were usually looking at me (she laughs at the memory). When the instructor said move to the right, some of them would move to the left. I don’t want to mention their names because they are likely to read this. But I still make jest of them from time to time when we are all together.

When men tell you that you are beautiful, how do you react, first as a police officer and then as a lady?

Some people just say it as a compliment and nothing attached. When I see such people, I figure it out because I can sense sincerity when I see it. ‘Oh thank you’, is always my answer. But when I sense that there is more to the simple compliment, I easily ward off the person. I don’t fight anyone for having interest in me. I manage the situation. Some of them I immediately start calling them my uncle which tells them exactly what they are to me. When I am not in a police uniform and someone is overdoing a compliment, sometimes I just scare them by asking, ‘Can you handle a police officer?’’ And the next question they usually ask me is, ‘Are you a police officer for real?’ And then I will reply, ‘Yes, I am.’ And then the change of discussion. But some will tell you they don’t mind.

‘It is you that I see, I am not seeing a police officer.’ Then I will say, ‘Sorry I am married,’ to put them away. Some men are stubborn, so the best thing is to cut off from them.

And what can you say about your husband?

He is a fantastic guy. He has told me that I should keep him away from my work. I met him after my graduation and national youth service programme. We have been married for several years now.

Have you had any close-to-death experience so far in your career?

Yes, I’ve had. I am a very inquisitive person. I always want to learn. When I was on attachment, I heard there was a robbery incident. My Divisional Police Officer (DPO) mobilised for the police to move to the scene. I said I wanted to be there with the DPO. The DPO said that I should remain at the station.

But I had already signed for a pistol. That was how I was part of the team. However, 200 metres away, we ran into a shoot out. I held unto my pistol as there was firing and cross-firing. It was no joke. It was a heavy exchange of fire. At a point, I had to summon courage to say my last prayers. I told God that if that situation led to my death, please forgive my sins, and if I am meeting you God at this point, just because of my national assignment, accept and forgive me into your kingdom. Meanwhile, the exchange of fire was raging on. I remember that we lost a policeman in that shoot-out. But our team was able to kill three of the armed robbers in Abuja then.

That was a near-death experience for me. I will not say that it scared me, but I would rather say that it made me to realise the thin line between life and death. That happened about 13 years ago.

“I am the best producer in the world” — Kiddominant Brags

Nigerian music producer, Ayoola Oladapo Agboola, better known as Kiddominant made news during the Soundcity MVP Awards when the award for the Best Producer of the year was given to his colleague, Young John.

This prompted the producer, who has done for the likes of Davido, to forget his home training as he slammed the organizers of the show cause he felt he deserved the award due to the many hits he produced last year.

Speaking to Sunday Scoop on the issue, he said,

“My apology to Soundcity was sincere because I felt and still feel remorseful about how I reacted to losing the award. Honestly, those who are close to me will tell you that I’m not a troublesome person. However, we all make mistakes and it’s only right we apologize when we realise our wrongdoings. I believe that organizers of awards are doing a great job.”

On his impact in 2017, he said;

“Last year was amazing for me as an African music producer. I was signed to Sony/ATV USA, and I produced a beat for one of the biggest Jamaican artistes of the moment, Popcaan, who is signed to Drake’s record label. I also produced two of the biggest songs in Africa –Davido’s Fall and Mayorkun’s Mama. Don’t forget that I also produced Mayorkun’s Che Che towards the end of the year. I’m really grateful to God. What makes me different from any other producer is my idea of sound composition and mindset as a person. I actually think I’m the best producer in the world.”

“Nigeria is in safe and competent hands with President Buhari,” — Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said that with President Buhari piloting the affairs of Nigeria, the country is in very safe and competent hands, hence there is no cause for alarm.

The Minister said this at a mini town hall meeting with the staff of the Nigerian Embassy in Madrid, Spain, and a cross section of Nigerians living in the European country on Saturday.

He said contrary to the fake news being peddled on the Social Media, Nigeria is making steady progress, especially in revamping the economy, tackling insecurity and fighting corruption – the three cardinal programmes of the Buhari Administration

“Don’t believe everything you read on the Social Media. Nigeria is neither at war nor in crisis,” Alhaji Mohammed said. “Contrary to
what you may be reading on the Internet, the Buhari Administration is putting Nigeria on a solid footing, after the years that were eaten by the locust.”

He said naysayers are spending millions of Naira to distort the true situation of things in Nigeria and to make the Administration look bad.

The Minister said the Administration’s achievements should be evaluated against the background of the tough challenges that it has
faced since coming into office on 29 May 2015..

“It is said that if you don’t know where you are coming from, you won’t know where you are going,” he said, listing the drastic fall in
the price of crude oil, the low foreign reserves at $24 billion, the fact that the federal government was borrowing to pay workers’
salaries, and the fact that many states were unable to pay salaries as some of those challenges.

Alhaji Mohammed also said when the Administration came into office, unpaid pensions had run into billions of Naira in many states, contractors had abandoned sites across the country because they were being heavily owed, infrastructure was in poor state, power generation was 2,690 megawatts, billions were being paid as ‘fuel subsidies’ to fat cats, corruption was the order of the day, while 20 of the 27 local governments in Borno were under the firm control of Boko Haram.

“Today, the trend is being reversed, and the results are showing: Foreign reserves is now $42.8b, the highest level in four years,
inflation has fallen for 12 consecutive months to 15.13%, 108 billion Naira has been saved from removal of maintenance fees payable to banks before Treasury Single Account (TSA), the nation is being saved 24.7 billion Naira monthly with the full implementation of the TSA and the elimination of ghost workers has saved the nation 120 billion Naira.

“With improved macro-economic conditions, capital inflow is on the upswing, reaching $1.8 billion in the second quarter of 2017, which is almost double the $908 million in the first quarter, Nigeria’s stock market is one of the best-performing in the world, delivering returns in excess of 40 percent, Nigeria jumped 24 places on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business ranking, and earned a place on the List of Top 10 Reformers in the world,” he said.

The Minister also told the meeting that the Administration’s agricultural revolution is moving Nigeria close to self-sufficiency in
many staples, especially rice, that the home-Grown School Feeding Programme has created jobs for 61,352 cooks, and it is providing 6.4
million school children in 33,981 schools across 20 states with one meal a day, that power generation has increased to 7,000 megawatts,
that Boko Haram has been massively degraded and that the Administration’s is embarking on a massive infrastructural renewal.

Alhaji Mohammed, who urged the Nigerians to download the FGN-iAPP in order to get authentic news from Nigeria, later fielded questions from
the Nigerians, with many of them seeking to know when Nigerians in the diaspora will be able to vote, how they can access the national identity card, how they can get authentic information from Nigeria and what the federal government is doing to end the herder-farmer clashes.

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Mrs. Susan Aderonke Folarin, led the staff of the embassy to the town hall meeting, which was held at the
embassy premises.

It is an insult to say I am worth $150 million — Bishop Oyedepo

Papa Oyedepo in a video released by the Winners Chapel London has said in a message “The secrets of prosperity”, that it is an insult for people to say he is worth 150million dollars.

The leader of Winner Chapel said he is worth more than that, quoting Philipians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” as as thus 150 million dollars is too small..

Recall Forbes named Oyedepo the Richest pastor in the world with a networth of $150 million.. Forbes is quoted to have said:

Coming in as a supposed host of the Holy Ghost with the most, Bishop David Oyedepo heads the single largest church in the world, Winners’ Chapel, which seats 50,000. As one of the main founders of the Nigerian Christian Charismatic movement, he also exerts control over churches in 45 African nations, as well as several in Dubai, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Having been mentored by Adeboye, it is quite clear he took the formula of church expansion up a notch. Alongside churches, there has also been active outreach within his native continent where his ministry has aided in the development of hospitals, schools and maternity homes.

As to be expected with such successes, two of his sons are following in his footsteps by heading up both the London and South African Winners’ Chapel divisions.

Man dies of heart attack after masturbating 62 times on Valentines day.

A 33 year old man has lost his life after he kept masturbating aggressively for a whooping 62 times in a row on the 14th of February, which was Valentines day.

Identified as Davido mabuza, it has been reported that he self-pleasured himself a world record, totaling 62 times, before dying of a heart attack.

Mabuza, who lived with his parents, was found dead in his bedroom after apparently masturbating too much.

It is speculated that he was suffering from depression due to being “extremely lonely” on Valentines Day.

David’s Mother called the SAPS after discovering his corpse in his room.

David’s mother told Nusa reporters “1 hour passed since I had called him out for lunch. David was the kind of boy to steal food off your plate when you were not looking, i knew something was wrong when he didn’t come out to eat, he was a great kid” she said as she began to cry.

Police arrived at the home about an hour after Ms. Mabuza called them.

Officer Ronny Mkhize told Nusa reporters what they saw when they opened David’s bedroom door.

“The young man was on his bed… his penis was detached from his body, it must have been so intense it just came off his body, we found his penis gripped in his left hand so tightly we couldn’t get it out, it was tragic”.

Investigators are still investigating the case for more information, Mabuza’s funeral will take place sometime next week.

I never knew my parents, I was abandoned as a baby – Bad girl, Maheeda

Maheeda in a chat with PUNCH has revealed that she was abandoned by her parents when she was a baby.. She also spoke about her education, challenges, Nudity, Marriage, Daughter and more.

Enjoy:

Background

I grew up in Kano State, but I don’t remember much about my childhood; even the few things that I can recall are not pleasant memories. I never knew my parents because I was abandoned as a baby. My childhood was characterised by loneliness, sadness and feelings of worthlessness. From a very young age, I was desperate for freedom and happiness. I just wanted to be accepted. I didn’t have a happy childhood. I was raised by kind-hearted people who took pity on me.

Education

The only school I attended was Ota Akara Primary School, Kano, for my elementary education. There was no money for me to further my education. However, I continued to educate myself beyond school and the streets also helped me. As a child, my ambition was to marry a Caucasian. As a child, the only difference between me and the kids that ate rice anytime they wanted and had a lot of toys, was the fact that their mum married a white man. Meanwhile, those were the things I didn’t have. While growing up, all my hustle was geared towards that direction and I am glad that I succeeded. I am now a citizen of the Netherlands. However, I now know better. It is not about marrying a white man; it is more about what you can make out of the life God has given you.

Music

I used to love Indian films while growing up. I was enthralled by the singing and dancing in those movies; so, I wanted to do the same. I reasoned that being an entertainer would make me famous and somebody to be reckoned with in the society. At that time, I had very low self-esteem and I felt like nobody. After I met a rich white man and I started having money back then in Port Harcourt, I began to invest in music. I started as a secular singer and the first song I released was titled, I no want you. The beat was really nice but I couldn’t really sing, so, my voice sounded awkward in the song. I was really criticised and that hurt me. As an uneducated poor lady trying to make a career and a life for herself, I was almost discouraged by jobless haters. My most popular song as an artiste was Oko yan pia. It did quite well. The last time I released a song was four years ago; I’m busy with my family now.

Born again

I believe that everything that happens to one in life is meant to build one up. It is true that at a time, I asked all the radio and TV stations to stop playing my secular songs because I had become born again. However, I don’t want to talk about that period in my life. I prefer to stay in my secular lane.

Challenges

In terms of my music career, I faced a lot of challenges. They include getting good songs and good management. Things are also tougher for women in the industry. In addition to that, my voice was not really good and money was hard to come by.

Lessons

The travails I had early in life taught me many lessons. It has made me selfless. Since I was abandoned, I never want to leave my child. It has also made me very understanding. I sympathise with people a lot, especially the less privileged. I have become stronger and a goal-getter. I was a very poor child, so as I grew up, I fought poverty with all I had. On the flip side, my experience has made me not to trust anyone. I was abused by everyone around me, even my so-called godparents. Anyway, I have learnt the importance of virtues like patience, forgiveness, gratefulness and honesty.

Nudity

I started posting nude pictures simply because I could. I don’t owe anybody any explanation. Some people may think I just post nude pictures for fun but I love my job as a nude model. I have no control over the fact that some people masturbate with my pictures. Everybody has their lives to live and they can do as they please. The truth is that most Nigerians are hypocrites. They don’t want people to know that they like what I do. There are so many people that abuse me in the comments section, yet send me private messages, asking to get intimate with me.

Marriage

I don’t hide my husband away from the public. He has his own life and his business; he is a very private person. He is not the social media type; so, you can hardly find him on the Internet. We have different personalities and that is great for me. I don’t joke with my husband and daughter. I like to keep them away from the limelight. I only tell and show people what I want them to know.

Daughter

I have a lovely relationship with my daughter and we are very close. She doesn’t have an Instagram account yet and I will not allow her to have one until she turns 18, which is next year. As regards her seeing my nude pictures, my daughter is Dutch and she has a different mentality from most Nigerians. In advanced countries, nudity is not seen as bad or evil and sexuality is freely expressed.

Throwback photo of Maheeda and her daughter.

Personality

I have a very strong personality. I don’t like people who are wicked and arrogant. I like selfless, open-minded and courageous people.

Role models

Unfortunately, I don’t have any role model. I feel everyone is born a saint but no one is honest enough to tell me their true story.

Fashion

I like to be free and comfortable in whatever I put on. I also like to be naked most of the time.
