Popular Nollywood actress, Shaffy Bello, has emphasized the need for women to contribute something substantial to their relationship or marriage.

She stated this in a recent chat with media personality Stephanie Coker on her podcast. This comes on the heels of the trending discourse about what women ‘bring to the table’ in a relationship.

According to Shaffy, it’s important for women to have something to offer a man in a dating relationship or marriage, just as men do.

The 60-year-old thespian added that men find a woman more attractive when she doesn’t need him to do everything for her.

The TYTI urgently called upon the Chief of Army Staff and the Inspector General of Police to address the persistent attacks along the Wukari-Jootar federal highway, which marks the intersection of Taraba and Benue State.

Despite the presence of military and police checkpoints, incidents like these continue frequently.

The statement further condemned the heinous act and spoke on the need for swift action against the perpetrators.

The tragic loss of Mrs. Oluwakemi Moses Konye has further emphasized the urgency of enhancing security measures in the region.

South African Man Receives 15-Year Sentence For Strang|ing His Girlfriend And Dumping Her Body In A Bush

A 26-year-old man, Mojalefa Stoffel Sebashe, has been sentenced to 15 years of direct imprisonment by the Sekgosese Regional Court in Limpopo, South Africa, for the murder of his girlfriend in 2019.

According to Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, the Limpopo police spokesperson, Sebashe strangled his 28-year-old girlfriend to death at his parental homestead in Senwamokgope, Vaalwater Village.

He then dumped her lifeless body in a nearby bush.

The tragic incident unfolded on the evening of December 2, 2019.

The following morning, a community member discovered the victim’s body and promptly alerted the police. Murder charges were filed, and an investigation was initiated.

Sebashe was arrested soon after as a suspect in the murder, but the case was temporarily withdrawn pending further police inquiries.

However, he faced multiple court appearances before ultimately being convicted and sentenced to 15 years of direct imprisonment on November 22, 2023.

The conviction and sentencing of Sebashe have been welcomed by Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Limpopo provincial commissioner of police.

She strongly condemned gender-based violence and femicide, emphasizing that such acts have no place in society.

Abuja Woman Recounts Her Horrifying Kidnapping Ordeal By One-Chance Operators (Video)

An Abuja resident has shared a terrifying account of being kidnapped, assaulted, and robbed by one-chance operators after entering a cab in the city.

The woman explained that she boarded the vehicle, believing it to be safe, as she was headed from Kubwa to her sister’s house in Gwarimpa, Abuja.

Inside the car, there was a driver, a lady in the front seat, and two men seated behind.

As she neared her sister’s house, she called to inform her of her location.

However, one of the men immediately began choking and hitting her.

Desperate for help, she opened the window and waved to passersby, but her pleas for assistance went unanswered.

After enduring approximately thirty minutes of assault, the assailants forced her into the cramped space on the car floor, demanding a ransom of N1.5 million for her release.

She frantically reached out to people she knew for money. Each time someone on the phone stated they didn’t have funds, the attackers escalated the violence.

They seized her ATM card and withdrew money whenever it was sent to her. Additionally, they coerced her into unlocking her phone, only to log her out of the device themselves.

Eventually, the kidnappers informed her that they would release her since her loved ones had contributed N500,000. They also confiscated her bag and personal belongings.

Dropped off on an unfamiliar road, she found herself begging for a ride, but no one offered assistance.

Thankfully, a compassionate stranger eventually provided her with a ride and a phone to call her sister.

The survivor issued a heartfelt warning, urging everyone to be extremely vigilant, especially at night.

She emphasized the lack of shame and conscience of one-chance operators, expressing her gratitude for being alive by the grace of God.

She clarified that while giving birth to her daughter could have prevented her from writing two novels, the experience did introduce her to a new level of awareness that she can now include in her writing.

Passengers aboard a Frontier Airlines flight were left stunned when a woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, pulled down her pants mid-flight and attempted to relieve herself in the aisle.

The incident unfolded on Monday, November 20, during a flight from Florida to Philadelphia, as captured in a video shared on Facebook by fellow traveler Julie Voshell Hartman.

According to the footage, the woman apparently resorted to using the aisle as a restroom after a flight attendant denied her access to the lavatory at that moment.

As surrounding passengers voiced their objections, the woman responded with expletives, declaring

“I don’t give a f**k,” “F**k you,” and insisting, “I gotta go pee!”

After briefly pulling her pants back up, she continued to demand entry into the plane’s bathroom, engaging in confrontations with other passengers towards the rear of the aircraft, as shown in a separate, longer video.

Julie Voshell Hartman, who witnessed the entire incident, took to Facebook to recount the distressing experience.

Nigerian singer, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, better known as Oladips, has made his first official public appearance following his recent ‘expensive’ death stunt.

Recall that the singer fooled the whole internet after pretending to have passed away from an undisclosed ailment in a bid to promote his new album.

On November 14, a video of the rapper being rushed to the hospital was shared online and stirred panic among music lovers on social media.

Few hours later, his management went online to release a statement where they announced the sad news of his ‘passing’.

The statement reads,

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS has passed away yesterday
Nov’14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14pm.We are still in shock as we speak!
For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded!
The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time.May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss.(amen)

However, things took an unexpected twist when it was later discovered that the singer was not dead, and it was all a ploy to promote his new project.

This stirred an uproar on social media, with many criticizing him for going to that length and falsifying his own death to trend.

Well, a week after the drama, the rapper has gone online to share a video of himself to confirm that he is indeed still alive and not dead.

In the video, the 28-year-old rapper, who had evidently shaved off his dreadlocks, was seen sitting outside his house while his mother was pacing around.

The coroner inquest set up to investigate the circumstances that led to the death of popular Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba also known as Mohbad has revealed that the toxicology test is being carried out in the US.

This was made known by the state counsel, O. Akinde at the Lagos Coroner court sitting at Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu on Wednesday November 2023.

While addressing the coroner, Magistrate Adetayo Shotobi Akinde mentioned that the toxicology test is being conducted in the United States of America.

He started by saying that the most crucial aspect of an autopsy is to determine the cause of the death of late music star, Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba.

He then added that the autopsy into the external body of the deceased has been completed, but the toxicology test which has to do with the internal body, is being done in the US.

He disclosed this following the insistence of the other counsel to the father of the deceased, David Fadimu, that of TNKay Music Worldwide, David Nawoola, and O.S.A. Aranmolaran, representative of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikorodu.

The Coroner, Magistrate Shotobi, however asked to know why the toxicology was taken abroad when there are toxicology laboratories in Nigeria.

Gunmen Abduct Eight Women On A Farm In Abuja

In a distressing incident, gunmen have kidnapped eight women from a farm in Gwombe village, Gwargwada Chiefdom, located in the Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

This abduction occurred 48 hours after another incident where gunmen abducted the father of the vice chairman of Kwali Area Council, along with six others, in Yewuti village.

According to Usman Yakubu, a resident of Gwargwada, the incident took place around 5 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023.

The women, all housewives, were involved in harvesting benni seeds when the gunmen suddenly appeared, with AK-47 rifles, and surrounded them.

A chief from a village in the chiefdom, who chose to remain anonymous, confirmed the abduction and revealed that four of the women were from the same household.

He expressed suspicion that the gunmen responsible for the abduction might be among those who had escaped from neighboring Kabbi village.

Claiming that these individuals had been roaming the bush following an encounter with Miyetti Allah vigilantes, during which some of their members were neutralized over the weekend.

The abduction of these women has caused alarm and concern within the community.

Authorities and security agencies have been notified, and efforts have been put in place to secure the safe release of the abducted women.

It would appear that a market woman had visited the microfinance bank for a loan, but misplaced the money on her way out.

The woman had tripped while exiting the microfinance bank causing the money to fall off from her without her knowledge.

The news which was shared by @lollypeezle on the microblogging platform emphasized on the fact that they are still good people out there.

Posting a picture of the security guard, he attached the caption;

“This Security Guard, Obinna Nwokoma returned the 62k he saw on the floor outside a Microfinance Bank in Abeokuta. Apparently, a market woman who came to collect loan at the bank tripped on her way out with the money falling without her knowledge. I celebrate good people”

Many people have commended what the security guard did, according to them the 62k might look small but it meant a lot to the market woman.

The lady was captured in her parent’s house dancing happily, while her husband to be watched the whole event from another location with his device.

With the way the event unfolded, the couples did not mind that they were not together, as they watched each from their devices happily.

Nigerian politician, Opeyemi Falegan, has tackled Wunmi, the wife of the late singer Mohbad, for allegedly refusing to conduct a DNA test on her seven-month-old son with the singer, Liam.

Recall that some netizens have been demanding a DNA test to determine if the boy is truly the deceased singer’s biological son.

His father, Mr Joseph Aloba, has also repeatedly stated that a DNA test is mandatory, as people from Ekiti state, where he hails from, do not accept “bastards.”

Recently, the Lagos State Police Command disclosed that they have asked Mr Joseph to come and claim his son’s corpse, but he refused because he wants a DNA test conducted first before he is reburied. However, they maintained that a DNA test is their private family business and doesn’t involve the police.

Reacting to the saga, Opeyemi Falegan took to his Instagram page to question Mohbad’s wife for the delay in carrying out a DNA test.

He also warned her not to anger people from his state (Ekiti) because they need to know if the boy is indeed a son of the soil.

Opeyemi, the former partner of actress Nkechi Blessing, wrote,

“Why is wunmi not doing the DNA? Why taking forever?

Don’t get Ekiti people upset pls , I need to know if the child is Ekiti child so I can send my financial support pls.

DNA is important pls on this issue , even if the child is adopted , we wanna know .

A paternal aunt of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has criticized Nollywood actresses Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo for demanding the release of the singer’s corpse for a proper burial.

Speaking in a video shared online, the aunt stated that they have no right to demand his corpse because they are not his parents.

She emphatically stated that it’s the singer’s dad who has the right over the body and will decide when he will be reburied.

She also rebuked the movie stars for going casket-shopping for the singer a few weeks ago, where they were offered a casket and other funeral arrangements for the singer at no cost.

This evidently didn’t go down well with Mohbad’s aunt as she accused them of using their ‘private part’ to get free benefits. She claimed they went to advertise themselves to the casket owner and were all smiles and dancing for him.

The woman, who spoke in Yoruba, wrote,

“The owner of the child says he is not ready to bury his child. What is your problem? Your secrets will come out soon except there is no God. We are shouting, you people must not rebury Mohbad. Leave him alone until his father is ready to bury him. Don’t rush. You all have used Mohbad’s case to receive positions in APC.”

Tragic Road Crash Claims 17 Lives And Injures 208 In Niger State

A devastating road accident in Niger State has resulted in the loss of seventeen lives and left 208 individuals injured.

The lone crash occurred at Takalafia village on the Yawuri Expressway in the Magama Local Government area of Niger State on Tuesday, November 22.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, confirmed the incident.

According to Kazeem, the crash involved a total of 229 people, including 220 male adults, four female adults, and five male children.

Tragically, seventeen male adults lost their lives in the accident, while 206 male adults, one female adult, and one male child sustained various degrees of injuries.

Investigations revealed that the crash was caused by a speed violation that resulted in the driver, identified as Idi Doba, losing control of the red-colored commercial DAF trailer with number plate SRZ446XA.

Upon receiving medical attention, the injured victims were swiftly evacuated to the Kantagora General Hospital. Meanwhile, the deceased victims were transported to the hospital’s mortuary.

The FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, has once again spoken on the dangers associated with conveying passengers in trailers and other haulage vehicles.

He urged drivers to refrain from this practice to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.

The FRSC continues to work diligently to create awareness, preventing such avoidable accidents on Nigerian roads.

Former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele Granted N300m Bail By FCT High Court

Justice Hamza Muazu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Godwin Emefiele, the immediate past Governor of the Central Bank, in the sum of N300 million with two sureties in like sum.

During the hearing of his bail application on November 22, the court ruled that the sureties must possess certificates of occupancy and titles of properties within the Maitama District.

Additionally, Emefiele has been ordered to deposit all his travel documents with the court’s registrar and remain within the Abuja Municipal Council. Until he meets the bail conditions, he is expected to stay at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

Emefiele was not present in court during the hearing as he is already in custody at the Kuje Correctional Centre. His lawyer, Mr. Mathew Burkaa, explained that this was normal procedure.

The former CBN governor is currently facing trial for alleged procurement fraud.

Initially, the Federal Government had brought forward 20 charges of procurement fraud amounting to N6.5 billion against Emefiele.

However, the charges were subsequently reduced to six, totaling N1.2 billion, on which he was arraigned last Friday.

The granting of bail to Emefiele has sparked interest and discussion among the public, as they observe the legal proceedings unfold.
