There’s a trending story on social media right now over the mysterious death of a Nigerian Lady, Classic White in Osun State.
According to our findings, the deceased took ill, and after a week of battling the illness, she died.
A friend of hers, took to Facebook to pay a tribute to her, which reads;
“I still cant believe that your not with us, i still refuse to listen to my heart, i know you wont be here to read this and i still don’t know why I’m still writing this. I really wanted to meet you soon after the exams but i never thought I’ll be seeing you the way i saw you today. I just wish life never took this cruel turn on you, life is really unpredictable and today i have seen it. Have so much to talk but you are not here, the one truth that we all have to live with from now on.Rest in Peace my dear. We’ll cherish every moment that we all spent together as best friends.”
But then, others are blaming “yahoo boys” for her death. An anonymous source said she was probably used by one of the many big boys she rolls with.
A trending chat making rounds alleged that she was indeed used for rituals.. We cannot verify the below chat as at the time of filing this report;
A video of a marriage proposal which turned sour went viral on social media last week. This video sparked a lot of controversies on social media. For those who didn’t see the video, this is the gist.
A young lady proposed to her boyfriend at Ikeja shopping mall but the boyfriend rejected her marriage proposal and the lady became hysterical.
However, let us hear what Joromi and Kamilu have to say about this issue. They have been at each other’s throat over this discussion for days now and I am really helpless.
Joromi: That girl fall my hand no be small oh! How can she be desperate to ask a man to marry her?
Kamilu: Desperate? She asked her man to marry her and you call her desperate? Why should she wait for him to propose, after all you are into a relationship with the intention of getting married? So whoever is ready should ask.
Joromi: Kamilu! Kamilu!! Kamilu!!! How many times did I call you?
Kamilu: Please stop screaming in my ears! You called me three times.
Joromi: It is people like you who want to spoil the world. It is very wrong for a woman to propose to a man.
Kamilu: A woman waiting for a man to propose is patriarchy bullshit. It is sexism, double standards, implicit bias and unfair burden placed on the shoulder of women. How do you leave the fate of women in the hands of men?
Joromi: Kamilu! Stop all the grammar and face the reality. A man should propose to a woman and not the other way around. That is our tradition. It is very unromantic for a woman to do so.
Kamilu: Oh! Tradition is now romantic, sebi? You make me laugh. Joromi the only difference between a person who is on his knees is the genitals. Nothing more. It makes little difference if it is a man or a woman. They are both in love and either of them should be able to make a choice. Let us make tradition a choice and not a mandate joor!
Joromi: Aside from the fact that marriage is God’s idea and you don’t tamper with God’s order. Men are naturally born to pursue and conquer. It is so sweet to see a guy so smitten that he asks for marriage but for a woman? Oh! Where is the bin? I wanna puke!
Kamilu: So, you have moved from tradition now into religion. I won’t stay here and discuss religion with you. Religion proves nothing! I want facts.
Joromi: Fact kor, fanta ni! What about scientific researches? Go on google and find the facts yourself. There are many studies that have proven that women prefer men to go on their knees and ask for their hand in marriage.
Kamilu: To an extent I agree. Sadly, many of these women shouting gender equality and feminism are always ecstatic with joy when they are being proposed to. A woman must always wait for a man to make a decision about her life. When a man wants to marry a woman he goes to ask her father. When she is walking down the aisle on her wedding day, she walks down with her father. So a woman’s life revolves around men. The fate of every woman is in the hands of men. Oh! How annoying!
Joromi: I don’t care how you feel about these things but people like me won’t allow your western ideas to succeed here in our country. It is an abomination for a woman to ask a man for marriage. Moreover, gender equality is much deeper than a marriage proposal.
Kamilu: If women and men are equal then a woman should be able to make a marriage proposal. The fate of women shouldn’t be in the hands of men, it should be in their own hands. Shikena!
Joromi: That’s very myopic. And you make a noble movement laughable with your sentiments. I think the core aspect of gender equality should be on educating the girl child, eradication of any form of discrimination against the girl child and women. Empowering women and girls, expansion of women’s access to justice by improving their psychological well being. Combating gender based violence and the eradication of child marriage in our country.
But we forget all these problems and we prefer to act out the non consequential ones. Such as a marriage proposal! Tueh!
Kamilu: You are not getting my point here. For instance passing on some part of history that strengthens our bonds together is a good tradition. But what I dislike are traditions that subjugate women because I am worried about the long term implications of holding up some archaic practices that undermine the female gender.
Joromi: And you think a woman asking a man to marry him will be the solution to all these problems I mentioned? You better go and purge your head from brain constipation that is worrying you. When you pick up ideas and you don’t sift it, this is what happens to you. The same thing happened to that girl. She got carried away and believe me no matter how liberal a Nigerian man is, locked inside of him is a man with core traditional values.
Kamilu: No way! There is a model I will call the new Nigerian men, they are Nigerian men who are unlearning many of these barbaric cultures and traditions.
Joromi: Hian! Like the ones on social media abi? Are they for real? They are the ones confusing these young girls and after these girls have swallowed everything hook, line and sinker, they try it out and get heartbroken. Kamilu, Nigerian men are not ready for marriage proposal from women. Not now! Not in the next twenty years! It is a culture shock.
Kamilu: Wait a second. It is a gradual process and I know we can’t get an instant result but someday we will get there. Martin Luther King had a dream many years ago and I have a dream…!
Joromi: Shut up! Joseph the dreamer. A lot of women cannot handle rejection and so that lady took it badly. Men handle rejection better because they have been wired like that.
Kamilu: Are you telling me that gender equality for women only applies to things that are not difficult?
Joromi: Do you have cotton buds there, Kamilu?
Joromi: No, why?
Kamilu: If you don’t then, I may have to call in the laundry service to come clean your ears. I never said or implied that in my argument. Women should take charge of their lives but they should leave the marriage proposals to men.
Kamilu: Times have changed Joromi. Women should pop the questions to their significant others. Many women have done that in the western world and are happily married.
Joromi: Keep dreaming. When you are done with building an icy castle in the thin air in dreamland, then you will wake up to our reality. This is Naija!!!
Well as for me, I think men should take charge of the proposals. I can’t just deal with planning a proposal, buying a ring, being sweaty, the fear of rejection and excitement in a roll. I think I would prefer being asked and having the choice to say a no or yes, is more like having super powers.
Moreover, I think it is more magical when a man asks the woman of his dreams to marry him. I would rather deal with the butterflies fluttering in my tummy than going down on my knees. Or what do you think? Should women make marriage proposals?
There was plenty of love – and laughter – as former First Daughter Malia Obama was spotted enjoying the company of her British beau, Rory Farquharson, in New York city at the weekend.
Rory first entered the media spotlight, when he was caught passionately kissing President Barack Obama’s eldest daughter before a Harvard-Yale football game in November.
And if these latest pictures are anything to go by, the loved-up couple are still going strong. More photos below…
During the week, reggae-dancehall exponent and ‘Show me your rozay’ crooner, Onyido Nkemjika, popularly known as Ketchup, sparked off rumours that he was getting married secretly with a video he posted on social media.
In an exclusive chat with Vanguard, the ‘Olingo’ singer, Showtime realised that the video was not about him getting married secretly but just a video he posted while preparing for his friend’s wedding which takes place this weekend.
“People have been calling to wish me a happy married life because they believe I’m secretly getting married. The video I posted was just about me preparing for a friend’s wedding taking place on Saturday (today)”, he said.
A picture from Banky W’s white wedding in SA.
However, he affirmed that whenever he would be getting married, it would not be shrouded in secrecy like Dbanj’s neither would it be publicised like Tiwa Savage, Banky W and Oritsefemi’s.
“Yeah, when I’m getting married I wouldn’t get married secretly but silently, my job is already loud enough, that is exactly how I will like to handle my private life”, he said.
He however explained why he would love to have a low keyed wedding ceremony.
“Different people with different vibes you know, just to keep my private life out of the people’s reach. I’ll rather save for my family than share rice round the town; God forbid if something goes wrong some of these same rice eaters will be the same ones to laugh at me.”
A Nigerian lady, Patience Usoh has received the adoration of folks online, after she maintained her low cut for her wedding to her man, Edidiong Uyire, yesterday, in Ikot Etor, Akwa Ibom State.
The traditional marriage took place on Thursday 18/01/2018 in Ikot Etor, Etinan Local government area while the church wedding was held on Saturday 20/01/2018 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom capital. Congrats to her and the hubby.
Nollywood Actress Mimi Orjiekwe has just showed off her newly acquired bag that cost her £2,700, which is equivalent to N1.3 million in naira.
The single mother of one, also shared pictures showing off more of her luxury bags.
See them photos below;
Meanwhile, in a chat with the SUN, Mimi revealed why her marriage to her ex-husband, Charles crashed.. She said;
“It’s true, we are no longer together. He has two baby mamas not even one and he has been begging my dad to make things work between us, but my mind is made up. No more going back to him.
I’m doing great. My baby and I are just fine. Charles is not worthy to break my heart, so I have moved on.”
Orjiekwe and Billion went their separate ways after their marriage crashed barely a year after it was contracted on July 18, 2015.
They, however, have a beautiful daughter named Jasmine born in April 2017.
Women, all over the world come with various great needs. And more often than not, they require support from the opposite sex.
This, and many other reasons, may be why most of them won’t settle for a poor man but budding singer, Toby Grey, born Tobiloba Mariam Adeyemi, who recently featured 9ice and Skales on her latest single ‘Konibaje’ has a different perspective.
According to her in a chat with Potpourri: Being rich is not all about money. She posits that she can marry a poor man who has no money but rich in other areas.
“You know a rich man can be poor in knowledge and money is not something that people cannot have. Knowledge or let me say commonsense is something that is really hard to acquire. If he is poor in commonsense, then it’s a NO but if he is poor in money, it doesn’t mean he can’t be rich in money. So, of course I can marry a poor man if he is very rich in every other thing,” she quips.
To her, what is most important in a romantic relationship goes beyond sex and explains what matters most to her.
“If the partners are not in it for a long term relationship, then the goal is a bit dicey. If it’s not for the long term, many people will choose sex and money because it’s temporal. But if it’s for the long term and you are planning to get married to this person, then love is the most important thing because at the end of the day when everything fades, the only thing you will have left is the love and the friendship you started with. I learnt that from my parents. At the end of the day, love fades but friendship remains. I even think you are missing something; it should be love, friendship, sex or money. Friendship is the most important thing to me,” she says.
A US-Based Nigerian lady has aired her opinion comparing US-Born Nigerian Girls to the ones born in their country, and it’s been causing some division on Social Media.
Identified as Zigi, she is of the opinion that Nigerian-American girls make better wives than a Nigerian-Born… and she stated her reasons as thus;
“I think that Nigerian American girls make better wives than Nigerian born girls because we are more independent, we love to work for what we have, and we cause less drama. We don’t expect our men to be millionaires right away , but we love to work side by side with HIM to build”
Below are some responses she got:
@MatthewMichaelz: “Though this isn’t entirely true i see where you are coming from, not all Nigerian born ladies are ignorant, there are alot of smart & wonderful ladies like you. But if you are reading this and you are triggered, she is reffering to you. Thanks for this and enjoy your day.”
@prettymarve: “I think you can praise yourself without bringing others down, cos doing that(bringing others down) only decreases your self worth…IMO.”
@martchuddy: “Where is this one coming from. Our naija, born in naija, hustle in naija is the real deal. To every real hustling naija lady in naija, I celebrate you.”
@nwamummy_: “At the end all of us still remain NIGERIAN GIRLS so what’s your point?”
@dera_kimora: “Are looking for husband? It’s simple, just type “I need a husband, pls rt, my husband may be in your timeline ” shikena!”
@UjuO_: “I hate when people sit in their bubble and generalize. Yes there are Nigerian ladies who want the man to give them everything but these ladies are also found in every part of the world. Some of us actually want to be independent and are working to have ours.”
A young woman Celine Dookhran, 20, was raped and murdered by her “obsessed” uncle before her body was padlocked in a deep freezer, a court heard.
Dookhran was kidnapped along with a second woman by her Uncle, Mujahid Arshid, 33, and his employee Vincent Tappu, 28, who took them to a six-bedroom house that Arshid, a builder, had been working at, the Old Bailey heard.”
Both women were then raped and their throats cut in what prosecutors described as a “horrific crime” on July 19 last year.
Arshid considered dissolving the bodies of both ladies in acid or hiding them in a chest-high freezer he installed two days before, it was claimed.
The second woman managed to survive and raised the alarm from hospital, which lead to the discovery of Miss Dookhran’s body.
Opening the prosecution case, Crispin Aylett QC warned jurors: “The evidence that gives rise to those charges is, I am afraid, simply horrific. You will have to steel yourselves for what is to come.”
Mr Aylett said Arshid had become “obsessed” with Miss Dookhran but knew that she was having a sexual relationship with her boyfriend, a Libyan Muslim.
The following day, on July 19, Arshid and his accomplice Tappu burst into Miss Dookhran’s room, stuffed socks into both women’s mouths, which they also covered with tape. Tied up the women’s hands and feet together and each of them was wrapped in a builder’s dust sheet.”
Arshid scooped up clothes, underwear and phones to give the “entirely false” impression Miss Dookhran had run away, it was claimed.
Mr Aylett said the women were taken from the house wrapped in dust sheets and put in the boot of the Arshid’s pick up truck. Tappu played no further part, jurors were told.
The court heard that Arshid had the set of keys to a six-bedroomed detached house between Wimbledon and Kingston where he had been working and took the women there, tying them to pipes in the utility room.
He allegedly took the second victim – who cannot be named for legal reasons – upstairs and raped her, before doing the same thing to his niece, Miss Dookhran.
Mr Aylett said:
“In the bathroom of that house, he cut Celine’s throat, most likely with the lock knife. “With her mouth still stuffed with a sock, Celine died from the combined effect of the restriction of her airwaves and the blood that she lost.”
The court heard Arshid then took the second woman, who is also in her 20s, upstairs and cut her throat, telling her she would be “dead within ten minutes”.
He put Celine’s body into the deep freezer and locked it with a padlock but the second woman survived and was later taken to hospital.
Based on the second woman’s information, Arshid was arrested the same night in Folkestone, Kent, where he had fled to.
Arshid was charged with murder, attempted murder, two counts of kidnap, two counts of rape, two counts of conspiracy to falsely imprison another, possessing a firearm with intent – a Taser.
He however, denied all the charges which included one count of sexual assault, and one count of assault by penetration, involving the second woman between November 2008 and November 2010.
His accomplice, Tappu, of Acton, west London, denied two counts of kidnap, two counts of conspiracy to falsely imprison another, and one count of possessing a firearm with intent.
A Nigerian lady Faith Orji was surprised by her abroad based partner with a marriage proposal.
According to reports, the lady was in complete shock because she was told she was coming for a friends dinner party not knowing it was her day.
Her boyfriend flew in from an undisclosed country and came in straight from the airport. His lady had no idea that he was in the country.
After all the screaming and reactions of disbelief, the handsome man finally got her to the proposal spot and asked for her hand in marriage.
She was very shocked after being ambushed with the marriage proposal in the presence of her family and friends who had already planned with her boyfriend.
She finally said yes not after bursting into tears.
Though Empress Njamah is still single, she says she is not short of admirers, whether young or old. According to the actress, she usually feels awkward whenever a younger man shows interest in her so she tries to avoid that.
She told Sunday Scoop, “A lot of men in their twenties say they admire me and want to date me. I am sure most of them think I am really young. Sometimes, I find it annoying because if they know my actual age, they wouldn’t come close or show interest in me.
“When people say I look like a lady in her twenties, I just smile. I am actually in my thirties. When people ask me what I do to look the way I do, I struggle to give an answer. I guess it is just the grace of God because I don’t do anything special.”
On her plans for 2018, she said she would rather allow things to happen naturally, adding that she had never been comfortable about revealing her plans to the public.
“For people who know me well, I don’t talk too much. I believe actions speak louder than words and that has been my approach to life.
“I am satisfied with all that I achieved last year. I am also an entrepreneur. I have a boutique where I sell ladies’ wear and accessories. I wouldn’t be honest if I say there are no challenges, but I thank God for the strength to overcome them.”
A few days after journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, was released from the Port Harcourt Maximum Prison, she begged Nigerians for financial assistance to cater for her medical expenses.
One of the people who quickly responded to the cry of the controversial blogger, whose father, Omololu Olunloyo, is a former governor of Oyo State, is comedian, Seyi Law. This is in spite of the long-drawn spat between the duo months ago.
The both of them began feuding after Olunloyo expressed concern about the health of Seyi Law’s daughter, Tiwa. She said the child was obese, suggesting that she might be suffering from a health disorder. After several weeks during which both parties exchanged words on social media, they made up.
Perhaps to prove that his daughter had indeed forgiven Olunloyo, Seyi Law offered a helping hand by donating all the money in Tiwa’s account to Olunloyo. He told Sunday Scoop that he decided to assist the blogger with funds belonging to his daughter, because she was treated unfairly and it could have happened to anyone.
He stated, “I think our previous issue was due to a breakdown in communication and I am not sure there is anyone who is happy that she was imprisoned for a long time. I didn’t even want the news that I gave her money to be made public, but you know Aunty Kemi has a way of doing things. She decided to put the information out there. I feel anyone can be of help to anybody. We’ve settled our issues and besides, this is a new year.”
According to Seyi Law, Olunloyo told him all the agonising things she went through in prison. The comedian said, “I spoke with her and she told me a lot of the things that happened at Port Harcourt Maximum Prison. The stories are not nice at all. She is even afraid for the people she left there. A prison is supposed to be a place where people get reformed. There is a lot to be done in our prisons and we should not forget that prisoners are also human beings.
“No one is perfect, but if someone, who was not supposed to be detained for more than 48 hours, spent six months in prison, then, there is a problem. Whether the person is wrong or not, the judicial system is faulty. Everyone should be given the benefit of doubt, at least until you are proven guilty by the court. Nobody is above the law, but in a situation where you don’t follow the recommendation of the law, it is not only an offence to the person involved but to Nigerians as a whole.”

While some fizzled off the radar following split with their partners, these female celebrities appear to have found their footing ,made more fame, gotten better partners, and of course achieved immense success following their divorce.
There are so many celebrities winning after divorce but Miss Petite Nigeria Blog has shortlisted it’s top 5 in no particular order..
TOKE MAKINWA
Toke Makinwa’s divorce from her partner, Maje Ayida was as bitter as any divorce can be. It was a very hard pill to swallow considering she was a ”relationship expert” who dished out advise on her popular Youtube channel.
So it was such a shock and a let down as many mocked her for not being able to apply her tips on her own marriage .
Many wrote her off and swore the end of her marriage was the end of her brand..She was shamed, accused of neglecting her man, hence his decision to have a baby by another woman.
While she maintained radio silence and turned to God for solace, little did we know this petite lady was about to turn her life around using nothing other than her pain.
Out of her heartbreak, her wildly successful best selling book”Onbecoming’ was born. She opened up in ways no one believed she would. She also gave an insight into her tumultuous and long relationship with her ex-husband,which spanned over a decade.

Her divorce was finalized on October 6th 2017.
Yes,Toke Makinwa is one divorcee who is absolutely winning and we can only say cheers to her future.

INI EDO
This curvaceous beauty and Nollywood actress is a boss lady. Her 2008 marriage to Phillip was rife with controversy as he was accused of leaving his first wife for the actress.
However, in 2014, the marriage which produced no child, started to show cracks. Then, to everyone’s surprise, Ini Edo filed for divorce and a few months later, bought a huge choice property in Lekki, Lagos.
“I TRY NOT TO REGRET (THE TIME I SPENT IN MARRIAGE) BUT I WILL SAY, IT’S BEEN AN EXPERIENCE I HAVE LEARNT A LOT FROM. IT MADE ME A STRONGER PERSON. IT MADE ME WISER AND I THINK IT ACTUALLY MADE ME MORE MATURE.
There were rumours problems with her ex-husband began when she refused to list him as a co-owner of the home.
As if that wasn’t enough, she took delivery of a G-Wagon,opened a night club in lekki.
To crown it all, Ini Edo was appointed Special adviser on Tourism to Akwa Ibom state governor .
Now, if that isn’t winning, I wonder what that is.
A man actually wrote an essay in an attempt to convince his love interest on social media to send him nudes.
Call it what you want, but i call it genius, (LOL)
Read what he wrote below;
There’s a certain amount of respect i would love to obtain with you. But this aspect of understanding and knowledge of each other, I would love to get to know you better in all ways in order to respect you more gully, ways i can obtain this respect comes with the knowledge of knowing you better physically, mentally, spiritually, and in all other aspects. Shall we start with our physical aspects.
Knowledge of each other physically can be accomplished in several ways, perhaps a tactic of understanding can be done in photography in of our physical bodies.
Perhaps we could exchange detailed photographs of us physically in order to understand each other better in turn to set the stage for an even deeper, solid, and respectful relationship
The trending topic on Social Media few days back, had folks state their standards, telling the attributes and characters of a person they cannot date.
One of which Billionaire son, Paddy Adenuga revealed the type of ladies he can never be with.
Paddy says there’s no way he’d date a lady with wigs or laces. In his words; “I can’t date you if you wear wigs or lace fronts.. never! I have standards and I refuse to compromise”
But then, Bobrisky has said Paddy should shift, that he is more interested in his Billionaire dad.
A 12-year-old boy, identified simply as Ojonugwa was reportedly set on fire by thieves in Kogi state to prevent him from identifying them as those responsible for the theft of a mobile phone.
The young boy was said to have known the identity of the thieves who stole a phone in Ogugu, Olamaboro LGA in Kogi state, so the criminals abducted him and took him on their motorcycle to a location where they asked him to lie down and close his eyes.

An Abuja based lawyer, identified as Onyemobi Chucks has been accused of raping a 17-year-old girl identified as Esther Monday after allegedly tying her down and assaulting her.
A reporter with Independent Nigeria, Nicholas Uwerunonye, wrote;
I bring before you a matter concerning Esther Monday, 17, allegedly assaulted, gagged, tied down and raped by a certain Onyemobi Ochiagha Chucks, a lawyer based in Abuja. I was at the Gwarimpa Police Station where I monitored the proceedings for more than six hours.
According to Monday, she began working for Chucks barely a week ago after she replaced a relative of hers at his house when she had to go back to Kafanchan, Kaduna State. Monday is one of thousands of young vulnerable girls who come to urban areas in search of menial jobs. Chucks had specifically requested Monday’s Guardian to provide an alternative for the relative who wanted to take a break.
Chucks initially engaged Monday to clean his house and water the garden in his home in Gwarimpa. But on Thursday, the lawyer curiously asked her to move to his office, also, in Gwarimpa to help in cleaning and office work. Unsuspecting, the poor girl went along. After working and cleaning the place, Chucks allegedly began making overtures to her; complementing her on her beauty…
As she further narrated, her boss suddenly stood up, went to the door, bolted it; headed to the windows and sealed them. Monday was too petrified to act initially. Then the lawyer pounced on her, tied her up, gagged and blindfolded her. Chucks, according to her, went ahead to strip her Unclad. He forcefully had canal knowledge of her, she alleged. It was Monday’s first sexual encounter, she claimed at the police station. Rather than release the girl, the lawyer still kept her detained.
He further seized her phone from her, extracted the sim card. After some hours, he ordered the girl to go back to his house warning her not to say a word. To ensure compliance, he took the girl to the road and put her in a commercial tricycle giving direction to the driver to take the girl to his own house. It was at this point the girl took the initiatives that have probably saved her life.
Explaining in Hausa, she narrated her ordeal to the driver and begged him to give her his phone because hers had had its sim card removed by the lawyer. The driver obliged her.
With the phone, she called her guardian who rushed over to the lawyers house to rescue her.
I got all this details from the girl and her guardians at the police station. I got to the police at about 5.pm and began further enquiry. At face value, the police appeared to have been professional. After listening to her , they took the girl to a hospital for medical confirmation of her claim. They summoned the lawyer who delayed coming to the station. I called his number, too, but he simply said he doesn’t know me and wouldn’t speak to me. At about 8 pm the lawyer came to the police station.
After making initial conversation with the DPO, the girl and the lawyer were again taken to the hospital. Some hours later, they returned. I gathered that the lawyer refused to submit himself for test. But I was reliably informed that the doctors said he could perceive the smell of sperm in her Vagina. Curiously, I noticed that some police officers began to be apprehensive at my presence at the station, one of them, a tall dark complexioned youngman with drooping eyelids.
He summoned me after he saw that I had closely been watching his movements with the lawyer. He first attempted to throw the relatives of the girl out of the station but failed. Then he came over to me asking what I was doing at the station. After calmly showing him my ID, he then asked me how I got to know about the case. “Who told you that the man has been indicted, ” he asked.
After calmly explaining to him that I am at no liberty to disclose my source, I further went ahead to tell him that story writing for a good reporter doesn’t begin after indictment. He reluctantly gave it rest.
Colleagues, I am headed back to the station to speak with the DPO to get a clearer perspective on the matter. While not indicting the lawyer of any crime, I believe that the man has some explaining to do, especially given the maneuvers I personally saw him pull. Chucks, the lawyer, is Igbo, like me, and so is the police officer who tried to intimidate me and the girl’s relative. Esther Monday is from Kafanchan and I do not know her. This is about justice and it knows no tribe. I am sending out this message because I understand how things are done in this country, no matter how we pretend otherwise.

Early this year, there was a viral report that Ms. Jedidiah Ogunleye ‘Love don’t care’ crooner, Simi’s mum will be getting married this January.
Ms. Jedidiah Ogunleye and her estranged husband got separated in 1997 and she’s been single ever since. Simi’s mom who shared the testimony of her engagement at church on the eve of the New Year, said:
“I joined this church for over 20 years as a sinner. I will like to say a big thank you to Pastor Sam. My desire has always been to get married. Every Sunday, I’m always ushering couples to their seat and I love to see these couples ushered into the church because marriage is something I so much desire. Getting married has always been a particular goal I rewrite every year. My daughter Simi once told me that “mummy, this church you are going, it’s just young boys and youths that attend this church, you may never find a man of your age in that church.” But I trusted God too much.
Just this year a man walked into my life and as you can see, I am now engaged and would be getting married in January 2018.”
According to sources present, just before the singer’s mom began sharing her testimony, the congregation was already screaming and Simi’s mom had to keep the congregation quiet in order to be heard. She was full of great excitement as she showed off her ring to the whole church.
Well today, the singer’s mum walked down the aisle and Simi played Chief Bridesmaid role at the event.
Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, says President Buhari, has been depressed and crestfallen over all the killings that have been happening in some states.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV on Friday January 19th, Adesina said those accusing President Buhari of not showing empathy to victims of the various crisis particularly in Benue state, do not know him.
Those who allege lack of empathy don’t know the president. We that work with him know him and we know how touched the president can be by things like that.
Personally, I know how he feels about these killings, I know how depressed and crestfallen he has been about it.
The fact that he has not reacted as some other presidents would have reacted by going to the place does not mean it does not touch him. The president would rather ensure that this does not happen again, and it has reflected in things he has done. He would rather want his actions to speak for him, than mere words.” he said
