Aisha, mother of ailing Yusuf and wife of President Muhammadu Buhari has been placed in bed rest at Cedacrest Hospital in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

The private health facility is where Yusuf was rushed to Tuesday night after his involvement in a bike accident.
A source told our correspondent that top government officials – elected and appointed – visited the hospital today.
“Ministers, Governors, EFCC chairman among many others were at Cedacrest today”, he said.
“Yusuf is not in good shape. His condition has taken serious toll on his mother, Aisha.
“I can confirm to you that she was still on bed rest as at this evening”, he said.
Meanwhile, staff of the presidential villa earlier on Thursday in Abuja offered special prayers for the quick recovery of the president’s son.
The prayer session, which was held immediately after the afternoon (Zuhr) prayer, was led by the Chief Imam of Aso Rock Mosque, Abdulwahid Suleiman.
Suleiman prayed almighty God to continue to guide and protect the first family and all Nigerians.
He also prayed for peace, tranquillity and progress to reign supreme in the country.

Veteran Gospel Singer, Tope Alabi is ending the year on a big note, as the singer has just dedicated and moved into her newly complete mansion, situated at Fagba, Iju Lagos.

The administration of the ministry has been assigned to my husband and I don’t poke about at all. Mine is to prepare for programmes. Whenever he gives the signals that all is set, I am ready. If there is a need for any material— either for my own use or for the home— I make a request and he provides. God has been using him tremendously for me and the ministry. So, at no point in time did we ever quarrel over business issues. The business isn’t mine but his (Soji’s).”
A man was so elated after discovering that his best friend of 60 years is actually his brother. Alan Robinson and Walter MacFarlane have known each other since they attended the same primary school in Hawaii.
Mr MacFarlane, 74, never met his father, while Mr Robinson, 72, was adopted and never knew either of his birth parents.
Now, they are “overwhelmed” to learn they have the same birth mother.The pair separately took DNA tests to find out about their ancestry. Mr MacFarlane used a DNA-matching website and found a top match – someone with identical X chromosomes, with the username Robi737.
Mr Robinson, a former pilot for Aloha Airlines, had used the same website. The half-brothers have now reveal the news to theri friends and family.
Mr Robinson said: “This is the best Christmas present I could ever imagine having.” “I had a younger brother that I lost when he was 19, so I never had nieces or nephews. “I thought I’ll never know my birth mother, I’ll never have any nieces or nephews.”
Mr Macfarlane was born in 1943 in Honolulu.
His mother, Genevieve, was planning to give him up for adoption, but her parents found out and decided informally adopt their grandson.
Fifteen months later, Mr Robinson was born in the same town and was immediately given up for adoption, so he never knew his birth parents.
The men met when just at primary school and became great friends.

A GWERU man left Chiredzi people shocked when he was caught having sex with another woman during his wife’s funeral service.
Circumstances are that the accused Luscious Chiturumani stayed in Gweru with his wife Sibongile Mthetwa who allegedly died after a short illness.
Since Chiturumani had not fully paid the bride price, it was then decided that the deceased be buried in Chiredzi, her parents’ rural community.
On arrival the deceased’s husband was accompanied by a woman whom he claimed to be his sister and he was accorded full respect as a son-in-law of the family.
The two were then given a courtesy room for them to rest as a family and they then retired to bed earlier than other people as visitors. More people were expected to join them in the room but none did and they took advantage of the situation and woke up to some early morning sex.
Claims are that just before 6am someone smoking outside leaning on the window heard some funny sounds emanating from the room which the two were resting in.
The unidentified man then decided to call others to see what was happening inside.
Unfortunately the doors had no locks and the two were found busy having sex.
A close relative of the deceased identified as Grace Mtethwa confirmed the incident saying that Chiturumani had brought disgrace to their family as the case will remain the talk of town.
“It is very much disgusting what my uncle has done. Humbwa chaiwo.
“He has proven to be a dog and lacking any sense of morality. How can someone come all the way from Gweru to have sex here aaah? I had never seen anything like such in my entire life.
“Apa haana kumbopedza kubhadhara roora racho but he found the courage to bring a prostitute saying it was his sister.
Mthetwa added;
“We gave them a room to sleep in at around 9pm.
“You know at a funeral very few people retire to bed and if they do so it will be around 1am vatoneta nekuimba so I guess that is the advantage which the so called brother and sister took because no one joined them in their room.
“At around 5am a certain man came to a place where my aunts and I were sitting saying we should visit the room where he heard some sounds assuming there was a problem.
Mob justice is said to have followed for disrespecting the dead, the in-laws and again for deceiving people that the lady was his sister and agreeing to share a room with her.
The two were force-marched out of the room and Chiturumani was being slapped and kicked as he made the short walk to a car that was waiting for him in the yard.

A 14-year-old girl raped and impregnated by a 70-year-old ex-soldier, Mr. Shuaibu Ahmed, has revealed that he gave her N100 the first time he raped her, but that she continued to allow the old man sleep with her because he threatened to kill her.
According to Vanguardngr, Ahmed and the victim are neighbours at Ago Tapa area of Ibadan, Oyo State. According to information gathered, the man is said to have taken advantage of many other under-aged girls in the neighbourhood.
The unsuspecting father of the girl was told by a neighbour that his daughter was carrying a five-month-old pregnancy.
Speaking with Vanguard, the girl said:
“Sometime last year, my sister sent me to Papa Soldier’s house to collect some compact discs for her.
He removed my clothes, underwear and forced himself on me. I tried to shout, but he blocked my mouth and threatened to kill me. After he was through, I saw some whitish substance on me.
It was then he told me he had deflowered me and that I should not tell anybody about it. Since then he has been having sex with me and each time he would warn me and even threaten to kill me.
At times, he will give me N100 or N200. The day he deflowered me, he gave me N100. I was not enticed by money; it was his constant threats that frightened me. I could not tell anyone because I didn’t want to die.
I just finished JSS 1. I had not started menstruation when he first forced me. It was after that encounter I started seeing my period.”
It was learned that the father has reported the case at Mokola Police Station and the suspect will be transferred to the State CID for proper investigation.
The father of the girl said all he wants is justice, as he noted that he could not bear the trauma.
Bashir Gwandu, the friend of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, is also fighting for survival at the intensive care unit of Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, DAILY NIGERIAN, the newspaper who broke the accident story, reports.
Bashir Gwandu is Yusuf’s best friend with whom he collided in a horror crash on Tuesday night.
Reliable sources told the newspaper, that the accident occurred when Yusuf revved up the engine of his motorbike to overtake Bashir Gwandu, and suddenly lost control of the machine.
“The accident happened when Yusuf was trying to overtake Bashir. They collided and somersaulted.
“They lay unconscious there for a while before permission was sought to take them to the hospital,” said a source.
Reports gathered reveal that a security vehicle was trailing and giving cover to the president’s son when the accident occurred along Ahmadu Bello Way (near NEXT supermarket), Abuja.
Rumours were rife on Thursday morning that Yusuf was flown to Germany for treatment but spokesman for the president, Garba Shehu, dismissed the rumours.
Sources however told this newspaper that Yusuf would still be flown abroad for treatment as soon as his condition improves.
It is however unclear if Yusuf would be flown abroad alongside his friend, Bashir Gwandu, for further medical attention.
A lot of people are currently left in a state of shock, after a beautiful television presenter was shot dead with an air gun by the husband in front of their young son.
The woman identified as 29-year-old Zhanna Veber, was gunned down at close range by her husband 36-year-old Anatoly Leontikov, during a row over custody of their son, Dmitry.
Ms Veber, a popular television personality in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia died on her way to the hospital after she was treated by paramedics.
Leontikov fled the scene with the couple’s son, taking him to stay with his family before going on the run. He later gave himself up to police.
Reports are that Ms Veber split from Leontikov two years ago but the pair were not officially divorced.
He arrived at her house and they argued over his access to the Dmitry, which Ms Veber had tried to limit.
Leontikov had been away working as a builder on construction sites near Moscow and when he returned, he had moved into her home for a while, but later left.
On December 26, he returned and ‘broke a window’ to gain access, an unnamed friend claimed.
‘After she died, he took the boy to his relatives’, they added.
The friend said Zhanna was ‘ambitious’ and had ‘big plans for her life’.
She ‘wanted to move to a big city’ while he ‘worked as a foreman building houses’.
Leontikov was a former policeman who had a permit to carry the air gun, the friend said.
Ms Veber’s station – Laba TV – ran a broadcast paying tribute to her life.

The presidency has refuted the reports flying around online that the President’s son, Yusuf, has been flown to Germany for further treatment following his bike accident on Boxing day.
According to a report by The Cable this morning, Yusuf who was involved in a bike accident on Tuesday, was flown to Germany for further treatment in the early hours of today.
The Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a text message sent to Daily Trust, said the report is false.
Yusuf who is President Buhari’s only son, broke a limb and had a head injury in the bike accident that happened at Gwarimpa area in Abuja. He is being treated at the Cedarcrest hospital in Abuja.
Singer, Davido‘s sold out 30 Billion concert which was held at the Eko Hotel & suites yesterday, has been raving online ever since its conclusion, with many highlighting remarkable moments from the show, like the reunion of the Mo’Hits crew.
But an attendee of the event, who apparently paid for the VIP section of the show, is not quite pleased with how the event turned out to be.
According to him, the regulars of the show made the event unbearable for him as they left their section to the section of the VVIPs and VIPs and obstructed their views.

Didn’t really enjoy the 30 Billion Concert of Davido mhen!! It Started from the Nigerian/African time factor, the Concert was to start by 7pm, but they started at 10:30pm. Fans struggled hard to enter the Auditorium, by pushing themselves violently due to bad coordination of the organizers.
Their was no real difference between VIP and VVip & the “Regulars”, bcos the “regulars” eventually covered the walk ways, they came to stand right in front of we the vvips and vips, Myself and friends had to walk some little guys and girls out of our sights & I can go on and on.
They stood and covered sights, which prompted the VVips & Vips to stand on their chairs, Just to catch a Glimpse of the show. Fans like myself were left to watch the screens as I didn’t feel like standing on chairs, Like – I was decently dressed to stand on chairs. At some point, Most of the people/fans who paid for “tables”, had to stand up too, to watch the show properly.
Regulars covered the whole place, it was less than what I expected. Abuja shows ain’t like that, I was decently dressed for the show but it was more like a mess, The “upcoming artistes” took a larger part of the show, but I can understand and endure that!!. Hmm, heat and bad smell everywhere too.
Lest I forget, @official2baba came on stage drunk, @davidoofficial had to prostrate for him, to “stylishly discharge” him. Mo-hit reconciliation performance was the main catch of the show. Popular On-Air-Personality, Tolu Oniru-Demuren popularly called Toolz, has criticized Davido’s much hyped 30 Billion Concert held yesterday, December 27 at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos as poorly organized.
The concert, which was the grand finale of the singer’s world wide tour in 2017, was sold out with some fans shut out of the venue after it was filled to capacity.
Sharing her thoughts on the concert via her verified Twitter handle, the curvaceous OAP admitted being a huge fan of Davido but queried the organization and timing of the ‘If’ singer’s appearance.
According to her, over 20 upcoming and known acts got on stage to perform dragging the show longer than necessary before Davido made an appearance.
The Beat 99.9 FM Lagos On-Air-Personality also described the entire planning of the concert, which was sponsored by First Bank, as chaos.

Davido reportedly also admitted that he could’ve gotten a bigger venue, considering the massive crowd that turned up for the concert.
It was a night of exemplary artistry and entertainment, witnessed by a mammoth audience as Davido headlined what can easily be described as Africa’s biggest concert of the year; ’30 Billion Concert’ – bringing out some of the most celebrated and revered names of the industry; including Nigerian Starboy WizKid, Patoranking, Wande Coal, 2Face, Reminisce and several others on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at EKO Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
