In a shocking incident that has left the community of Awka, Anambra State in dismay, a 31-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 14-year-old girl.

The suspect, identified as James Rich, works as a yardman at the St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican church in Ifite Awka.

In a surprising turn of events, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has cleared Oladokun Ayomide, a final-year student, of the allegations of poisoning his girlfriend and another lady.

The university’s decision comes after Ayomide was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command on suspicion of administering a poisonous substance to Ugbokwe Mmasichukwu and Odumosu Semilore.

According to a statement issued by FUNAAB’s Assistant Director of the Media Directorate of Public Relations, Olasunkanmi Olajide, the cakes purchased by Ayomide were found to contain a high level of alcohol.

The unintentional intoxication of the consumers resulted from this, and there was no malicious intent on his part, as confirmed by a medical examination conducted at the university’s health center.

The affected individuals were discharged from the hospital the day after the incident and even managed to participate in their examinations on November 10, 2023.

FUNAAB emphasized that he had no ill intentions, and the unintentional intoxication was a result of consuming the cakes with a high alcohol content.

The police also revealed that the student had been released on bail following a settlement reached by the parents of the students involved.

Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has revealed that she is planning to undergo surgery to remove her womb to end the cycle of reproduction.

Etinosa made this revelation on the microblogging platform X and explained that she wants to take off her womb because she doesn’t want her children to come into this world to wait for death.

According to her, the primary cause of death is life, and once the cycle of reproduction ends and lives are not created, death will also end.

The mother of one tweeted,

“The primary cause of Death is life itself. So to stop Death, one must put an end to reproduction. What is never born will never die. Even I myself am not ready for this deep conversation. It’s deeper than I can comprehend.”

Police Rescue Three Kidnapped Victims And Apprehend Robbery Suspect in Kaduna State

In a commendable display of courage and effectiveness, the Kaduna State Police Command has successfully rescued three victims who were kidnapped in Kidandan village, Giwa Local Government Area.

The spokesperson for the Command, ASP Mansur Hassan, revealed to reporters on Wednesday, November 15, that the victims were rescued by vigilant police officers on November 13.

The remarkable feat was accomplished through heightened patrols in the area, which made the bandits to abandon their captives.

The victims had been kidnapped on October 3 while traveling to Kano along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.

Speaking on an episode of Frankly Speaking podcast with OAP Nedu and ID Cabasa, the stylist stated that nothing could make him drink alcohol.

He talked about how he lost out on a big endorsement contract with Guinness because he doesn’t drink.

Celebrity stylist and Youtuber Miss Demz have shared her encounter with a bolt driver who assaulted her during a ride.

The Youtuber stated that she had asked the driver to take a better route to reach her destination faster but he replied her rudely.

Upon reaching her destination, he refused to end the ride and demanded payment of an amount he randomly asked for.

The YouTuber, on the other hand, refused to pay the driver until he ended the ride, which resulted in an exchange of words between the creator and the cabbie.

The people at her destination, which happened to be a hotel, did not help matters as they took sides with the driver and blamed the creator.

According to her, the security man at the hotel handed the driver two thousand, even though she did not ask him to, but he refused to take it.

Instead, he told the creator that within seven days she would face consequences, a statement the creator rejected repeatedly.

In the video, people around the school girl are heard trying to converse with her in Creole, repeatedly asking her why she’s smoking.

Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, emphasized the importance of vigilance and urged job seekers to disregard the misleading reports.

The Army’s official statement addressed the alarming proliferation of false online recruitment information, specifically targeting the Nigerian Army Direct Short Service (DSS) Recruitment Portal for the year 2023.

The Army made it clear that the fraudulent online publication was a deliberate attempt by unscrupulous individuals to deceive the public.

Recognizing the potential harm and confusion caused by such deceit, the Army labeled the fake Direct Short Service Portal 2023 as a scam and urged individuals to steer clear of it.

Favour who is an aspiring actress, said in a video posted on Spyro’s official Instagram page that she had never recieved that sum of money.

Doyin took to Twitter to air her displeasure about the judgment she and some of her colleagues occasionally receive for wearing certain outfits.

This comes days after her friend Ilebaye, who also won the all-stars season of BBNaija, was heavily condemned for wearing revealing outfits to a recent event.

Recall that Ilebaye recently made headlines for baring her breasts and using only tape to conceal her nipples under a blazer, and on another occasion when she wore a sheer outfit with her breasts exposed.

Though it’s unclear if Doyin was referring to the criticisms Ilebaye received, Doyin stated that people don’t have the right to hold an opinion about their outfits because they watched them on TV.

The 26-year-old star also emphatically stated that the critics are clinically insane.

In a heartwarming gesture of philanthropy, renowned English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has made a unique donation to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), his hometown charity.

The 32-year-old musician has generously contributed nearly 450 items of clothing, including a surprising 149 pairs of his own boxer shorts, to be auctioned off on E-Bay in support of the cause.

Growing up in Framlingham, Suffolk, he decided to give back to his community by donating his personal wardrobe to EACH’s shop.

Alongside the boxer shorts, which includes half that have been worn by the artist himself, the collection includes 20 jumpers, 11 pairs of trousers, 14 hats, six onesies, and an impressive 73 pairs of socks.

Additionally, there are seven pieces of Ipswich Town merchandise, his beloved football team.

As an ambassador for EACH since 2014, Sheeran’s contribution will be auctioned off on the charity’s eBay site.

Notably, the clothing items will be sold in their original condition, unwashed and unironed, and will come with a signed letter of authenticity from Ed Sheeran himself.

Kevin Clements, EACH’s director of fundraising and communications, expressed his gratitude, stating that the singer’s extraordinary gesture will raise substantial funds for the charity’s noble endeavors.

Despite his soaring success and global fame, Ed Sheeran remains a steadfast champion for EACH, touching the lives of children in need with his unwavering support.
