The unique Agbada Outfit by Ugo Monye, from his Reale Spring/Summer 2018 Collection is probably one of the most talked about on social media for the past week now.
Thing is if you were a guest at the wedding, and for one reason or the other, you have no idea who the Bride or the Groom is, you’d feel the Groom was EBUKA.
Folks on Social Media drooled over his outfit, as he basically stole the show at the wedding.
Now, Nollywood actor Femi Branch has taken to social media to call out Ebuka Uchendu and his tailor/fashion designer Ugo Monye over the outfit.
According to the actor who shared the photo above on his Instagram page, the outfit is not an Agbada but a Kimono.
He wrote:

Abeg o make una no vex o, as much as I am in love with this epic design that is obviously trending right now, as a Yoruba man, one of the few tribes to whom the Agbada traditionaly belongs, I want to ask…. Is this really an Agbada?! A Buba is different from a Dansiki which is also different from a dandogo or an olentelafa (long sleeved tunic that reaches the ankles) but they are all tops. From what I know, an Agbada is never open in front. It can be any design, length or pattern but it’s never cut all the way open in front! This is more of a Kimono not an Agbada. Of a truth, the Agbada has metamorphosed grandly over the years but always kept it’s basic design which has come to become it’s sole identity. WHAT WE SEE HERE IS NOT AN AGBADA! A young Nigerian lady, Mary Jane who graduated from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), just a few months ago has passed away.
According to her friend and room mate, Blessing Amaka who shared the news on Facebook, the young lady passed away early this week after a brief illness.
She wrote:
“My friend and lodge mate is dead… Can’t believe dat my prettiest graduate is dead.. Mary Jane may ur soul rest in peace… Wat kind of sickness took ur life, can’t believe u are dead… Babe wake up and tell dem it’s a lie, can’t believe i will lose a frnd and namesake… My eyes are filled with tears ,God knows d best.. Popular Nollywood actress, Bayray McNwizu has taken up a cause of charity to aid 4-year-old Popoola Caleb, who has been diagnosed with brain tumor.
We have seen quite a number of celebrities lend out helping hands to aid ailing patients, and Bayray has not been an exception to this.
Poopola Caleb needs a sum of 10million naira for surgery in order to survive a brain tumor. Having raised the sum of 6 million so far, Caleb needs the sum of 4million Naira more for his surgery to be possible.
The talented actress, via her Instagram page has called on her colleagues and members of the public to help in any way they can by making donations and contributions to save the boy and to give him a future.
A letter from LASUTH said Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), done on Caleb, showed that he has a large Brainstem glioma with mild hydrocephalus. Mr Akeem Popoola, Caleb’s father, disclosed, that his son has been on the hospital bed for three weeks.
The father also noted that the surgery would be done at Fortis Hospitals Limited in India. Popoola recounted that since the dilemma began on 15th June, 2016, the family had spent about 1.8million naira on Caleb’s health including hospital bills and getting an Indian visa.
The sickness was said to have started with Caleb limping on his right leg.
Speaking with Bayray, “This is just a way for me to help someone in need. Each time I find myself in a position to do something positive or to put a smile on someone’s face I do not take the opportunity lightly because, you do not know what the future holds.”
Bayray who shot to limelight after she won Amstel Malta Box Office back in 2009 has since made her mark in the movie industry as a spontaneous and versatile actress.

Mohammed Bello Shagari, grandson of former President, Shehu Shagari has shared his thoughts on what he thinks about those defending Maryam Sanda, the lady who stabbed her husband, Bilyamin Muhammed Bello to death while he was asleep.

Amanda has also responded to claims by Regina Daniels that she’s wanted by the Nigerian Police.. According to Regina, Amanda is to report to a Police station in Asaba to prove her claims.

We also found 5 registered SIM cards of which 4 are for nollywood actors and a book where he wrote the names of the people that registered with him. His victims are 73 in number and they paid 25k each.”
“2 of his victims were found in his house when he was caught at 5am this morning. meanwhile, Aunty Amanda (self acclaimed blogger) you are needed at the police station. “

But we were not satisfied, so Amanda sent the message below to Regina Daniel’s verified Instagram account.. “Madam celebrity, so you are threatening your fellow teenager with uploading her nudes if she does not sleep with a producer. Two offence, you are pimping a minor and threatening her with nude.
I know you are a child but not so young to not know how to read. I advice you acquaint yourself with the cyber crime laws.
I am taking up this case and will be suing you for blackmail and sex trafficking of a minor after which I will take your pathetic career to the cleaners. You silly child. Let me see just one picture of her anywhere that is nude, you , your mother, your brother, casie and the Richy Adams will spend new year in Jail.
Thank God you turned 18, that means you are now grown enough to go to jail. This chat serves as a warning..The laywers will contact you. And for your actions, I am opening a file about you, woe be tide you, I find out you are pimping more girls or blackmailing them……”
Knowing it was a verified account, the idea was to see if the numbers above would react to the message. For us, if the numbers responded, it was proof that Regina Daniels was in the know…
Hours later, these numbers, screen grabbed the said message and sent threatening messages via WhatsApp to the victim Frances.
At this stage, we screen grabbed those WhatsApp messages and released them to the public in the hopes that Regina would respond to them.
We still felt something was not quite adding up which necessitated a post I made basically asking Regina how it was possible for those numbers to get a hold of messages sent to her verified Instagram account.
I am not aware that she has responded to this but many things have happened since I made that post.
Regina still insists she’s being impersonated and has come out to deny ever knowing the Richy Adams guy who claims to be a nollywood producer based in Asaba.
Last night, this number 081252742136 claiming to be Sammy Daniels, Regina’s elder brother called both Amanda and France the victim.
I am going to upload the voice recording of the conversation the alleged Sammy had with the victim here. There is also a Facebook back and forth conversation this alleged Sammy Daniels had with the victim before the blackmailing thing started.

It is important to note that neither I nor Amanda are police investigators and what we did by breaking the news when we did was to essentially stop the threat of releasing the victims nudes.
We wanted the world to know what was happening and to put the alleged blackmailers on the defensive.
I can confirm to you that the victim and her mother had fruitful talks with her lawyer yesterday and this morning, a petition would be presented to the police to do the needful.
We want to believe that the police will get to the very root of this matter and thankfully, her mum is championing this as you can see from the pictures uploaded here at there lawyers office.
They are probably the only authorities who can approach the networks to verify the names behind those blackmailing numbers.
At the end of the day, a case of cyber blackmail has been established and it is up to the police to do due diligence and unravel the real culprits.
I must particularly thank Amanda Chisom for her passion and courage in giving cover to this most naive young lady. Anyone in her shoes with blood flowing through their veins would have done same and at the end of the day, she has helped bring to the fore this evil penchant of mindless individuals taking advantage of innocent girls using social media.
Parents are advised to really monitor how their kids use social media for they are exposed to a whole lot of crap by mindless individuals.
Like I said, the police are best equipped to unravel this sordid case.
They must find out how a message to a verified Instagram account found its way into the hands of some blackmailing numbers.
We have no doubts that justice would take its cause.
If indeed Regina Daniels is being impersonated, she has Amanda to thank for exposing this crime against her person by people who use other peoples name to scam others but if she is involved in this, let the law take its cause. We have done our bit by breaking this story and now the law MUST unravel it.

Amanda is still claiming the whole “pimping story” is true, and the only evidence she’s got, is an Instagram DM she sent to Regina Daniel’s Verified account.. She claims Regina Daniels screenshotted the below message and sent to her Victim Frances..

Now, this is what we want to point out.. The above screenshot was taken by Amanda herself, or someone who actually sent the DM to Regina Daniels’ verified Instagram page… Here’s how we know..
If you apparently, send a DM to someone on Instagram, and you take a screenshot, your message will appear at the RIGHT.. While the person’s reply or message will APPEAR at the left.
So, If Regina Daniels actually took the above screenshot herself, then Amanda’s message to Regina is meant to be at the LEFT.
Another thing to note is the name.. (Pictured below) … If Regina actually took that screenshot herself, then Amanda’s Instagram username should be there..
If it was Amanda that took the screenshot, then Regina Daniels’ Instagram username, should appear, which of course did..
Let’s assume the above screenshot isn’t what she’s referring to…
Recall, Amanda says Regina Daniels screenshotted the message she sent to her Instagram account, and then sent it back to her victim, Frances.. It was also alleged that Regina’s Best friend, Casie Snow and brother, Sammy got hold of the screenshot, and then sent to her victim.

Now here’s another thing, we found some discrepancies in the DM used by Regina, Sammy and Casie above.
A proper Instagram DM is picture right (below).. There’s also a jump in the real DM screenshotted by Amanda and sent to Regina (Right).. Which means, she sent the messages twice, the first one which ended in “the cleaners”, and continued with “Let me see..”.. There’s nothing like “You Silly Child”, in the original DM sent by Amanda to Regina.
Now, the DM used by the Fake Regina, Sammy and Casie (Pictured above, Left), has no jump, and has the “You silly Child”.. and Boy, that’s not an Instagram Interface.. It looks like a Whatsapp interface, as if it was typed…
Now, the only question is, how these folks actually laid their hands on the DM sent.. and our Conclusion is, Amanda probably sent the same DM to Regina Daniel’s Fanpage, probably owned by the impersonator.
Recall she also added a screenshot of the fanpage below, in her initial report.
UPDATE: The impersonators got hold of the information, because Amanda had earlier uploaded the DM.
So here’s our Conclusion..
THE VICTIM, Frances IS REAL, But she wasn’t chatting with REGINA DANIELS all along., Frances was being blackmailed by her impersonator.

Apparently, the story which was first shared by Amanda Chisom, which was sent to Amanda by Regina Daniels’ impersonator, claiming the actress pimps teenage girls, and force them to sleep with Producers in exchange for a movie role.
Amanda Chisom, who claims a victim, by the name Frances contacted her, wrote the below letter to know, including some screenshots.

i sent her the nudes and she started treating me like a friend….she asked me to meet up with Richy Adams, I did at a public place n I went with a friend He didn’t tell me anything about getting intimate with him during this meeting He’s supposed to be a movie producer After that meeting, Regina was angry with me for not offering myself to Richy on d basics that he loved me n was going to help me become a star She blocked me on WhatsApp n her brother chatted me up….

Recall, it all started with a Blogger, Amanda Chisom who claimed a 16 year old teenager, Frances wrote to her about how Regina asked her to sleep with a producer, Richy Adams for a movie wrote.

The letter came with some incriminating screenshots that proved Regina Daniels was indeed guilty of the accusation.. [See screenshots here]
But then, apparently it seems the whole story is false, as Regina Daniels and her mother, have arrested her impersonator, the guy who framed the whole story up and screenshots.
Apparently, her impersonator has several young victims he sleeps with.. He tricks them, promising them movie roles but in exchange for sex.

A retired headmaster in Osun State has hanged himself because he could not fend for his family – due to non-payment of his gratuity, Punch reports.
It was gathered that the deceased, Lukman Odewole, wife and a child fell ill at the same time but he had no money to take them to the hospital for treatment.
Following Odewole’s death, which occurred in Ejigbo Local Government Area of the state, pensioners in the state hit the streets on Wednesday, Nov. 22, to protest non-payment of their pensions for 13 and-a-half months.
The protesters, who carried placards with various inscriptions slamming the Rauf Aregbesola-led administration, marched to the popular Olaiya Junction where they addressed journalists.
The pensioners, under the platform of 2011/2012 Forum of Retired Public Servants in Osun State, said the protest was fueled by the death rate among their members, especially the recent one being the retired headmaster.
One of the leaders of pensioners group, Mr. Yemi Lawal, said Odewole committed suicide because of financial hardship.
He added that over 2,500 pensioners have died since 2013 because of nonpayment of their gratuities and pensions.
Lawal called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene, accusing the state government of diverting the intervention funds released by the Federal Government.
He said:
“We are appealing to President Buhari to save us from Aregbesola. We are being owed pension arrears of 13 and a half months and gratuities.
“Some of our members are sick, but there is no money for treatment. We have lost over 2,500 members since 2013 and one of our members in Ejigbo committed suicide because of financial hardship.
“We want the Federal Government to conduct workers and pensioners’ audit to know the exact number of pensioners and workers.
“We also plead with the President not to pay further intervention fund meant for salary and pension to Osun State Government because the money will be diverted just as the previous funds were diverted.”
The Forum’s Secretary, Mr. Sola Olojede also said that the retired headmaster killed himself on September 29, 2017, at Masifa in Ejigbo because of the hardship caused by their unpaid pension.
But the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, rubbished the agitation of the pensioners, describing it as political.
He said:
“As a government, we categorically state that government has paid workers and pensioner up to date with the modulated structure agreed upon by the government and the labour unions since 2015.
“Government does not owe any worker or pensioner based on the modulated payment scheme as the pensioners have alleged.
“We wish to put it on record that (Governor Rauf) Aregbesola increased the amount being paid as pension by 500 per cent in 2011. The nonpayment of gratuity is not peculiar to Osun; and the government has shown its readiness to pay the gratuity as soon as the state’s finances improve.
“It is on record that this group of pensioners had, at one time or the other in the past, lied against the Government of the State of Osun; and in specific reference they had alleged that government collected a tranche of the Paris Club refund and diverted it, only to have a whole month wait for the actual release of the fund.”
In October, Buhari announced that the Federal Government released N1.64 trillion to states and local governments between 2015 and 2017 to enable them to pay outstanding salaries, pensions and small business suppliers who had been all but crippled over the years.

Meanwhile, Mr P sat through the lunch hour, telling his story of why one of our favorite Nigerian group P Square is no more, and what he’s doing to move forward.
Mr P also fielded phone calls from fans who wished him well with his new journey.
Explaining to his fans, Mr P said he’s telling the story so that people will know what happened.
He said that more important than the business side of things is the family, and singing together is breaking their relationship, which he doesn’t want.
He added that he’s done with doing business (i.e music) with his family.

“Whether I like it or not, I must take responsibility for the defeat because I led the party to the election,” the media team of George quoted Jonathan as saying.
The former president said he was working with other stakeholders to ensure that the party was well organised to take back power.
Promising that the mistakes of the past would not be repeated, Jonathan advised the party to take steps to regain the confidence of the electorate.
“My priority now is how to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party regains the presidency in 2019… The only thing that will make me sleep well is to ensure that the PDP comes back to power.”

A student of the North Carolina University, Stephanie has shared her inspiring story as she’s set to graduate in few weeks time.
Stephanie who disclosed that she was raped in her sophomore year two years ago, said she had planned to kill herself on the night she was raped but her best friend saved her.

“During the fall semester of my sophomore year I went out to a party with my best friends. The night, which was filled with drinks, laughs and good times, slowly but surely led to events that would alter the course of my life.
When I returned from the party, I invited a friend over to stay the night. This friend and I had been out a few times, my parents trusted him and it wasn’t the first time he had spent the night.
I was exhausted and intoxicated but as he ran me a shower I remember vividly telling him that I had no intentions of having sex with him. Later that night I woke up with him on top of me, raping me without protection.
I cried, I asked him to stop and he told me to shh and let him finish. I cried but I laid there paralyzed. The next few days were a blur. I remember being a functional zombie for weeks.
For weeks, I withdrew from my friends and family members. I skipped class and missed work. I barely passed any of my classes and I seriously considered dropping out.
My energy was zapped as I saw my rapist everywhere. By mid second semester, he announced he was running for a very public position on campus. I watched as most of the black community, people I called friends, campaigned for my rapist.
On the night I planned to kill myself, my best friend saved my life. My other friend walked me to the counseling center the next day and thus began my journey to healing.
I still struggle with depression and I still struggle with PTSD. I still struggle with nightmares. I still go to counseling but I’m so much better.
I’ve dedicated my existence to loving, laughing and helping others. I never imagined that I’d be graduating from one of the top institutions in the country or that I’d be addressing my graduating class as the commencement speaker.”
Robert Mugabe on the 21st of November, finally resigned as president of Zimbabwe after 37 years in power. Mugabe’s resignation came just when the Zimbabwean Parliament was having an impeachment hearing.
According to Sky News, Mugabe wrote a letter to the Zimbabwean parliament saying he was resigning “with immediate effect.”
“I, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, hereby formally tender my resignation as President,” his letter read.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has stated that the successful conduct of the governorship election in Anambra state last Saturday shows that the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is dead and gone.
According to the Information Minister, the turnout of voters during the polls has diminished the IPOB.
Lai said this while addressing reporters in Abuja, the nation’s capital on Wednesday, against reported call by the pro-Biafra group for indigenes to stay away on the election day.
His words, “I think what that proved really is that IPOB does not represent the good people of Anambra or any state in the South East.”
He said the IPOB propaganda about the election really showed that they are not on ground.
“The people of Anambra have shown that there is no alternative to democracy and that they believe in one Nigeria and federal system of government. If there are issues to be resolved, let us resolve it. But terrorism and separatism is not the answer.
“I think the Anambra election has sounded the death knell on IPOB because they said election will never hold. The election has come and gone, the turnout was quite reasonable.
“Every party competed very competitively and at the end of the day, the people of Anambra have decided who is going to be their governor.”

A tormented 15-year-old girl, sadly ended her life after she learned that her ex-boyfriend allegedly posted explicit photographs of her online. Karina Saifer Oliveira is said to have killed herself after she heard rumours that the photos had been shared throughout her hometown in Nova Andradina of southeastern Brazil.
Karina reportedly had a sexual relationship with her ex, a 17-year-old boy she dated when she was just 14 years old, and there was speculation he had shared intimate photographs of her before her death.
Her devastated father, Aparecido Oliveira, told Buzzfeed News that his daughter told him that the photographs made her feel “trashy” and he said to her that ” it didn’t have anything to do with her,”
Mr. Aparecido who works as a security guard, also claimed that Karina was also sent “hateful” messages from her peers for more than a year before she died.
He said the messages bullied her for having afro hair, which Karina regularly straightened.
“She didn’t like her hair because people kept criticising her about it,” her father said, “that’s racism”.
According to reports, Police are now investigating whether the photographs of Karina exist and if they are still circulating online.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Ag CP Imohimi Edgal, on Wednesday, 22nd of November, led operatives of the command in a rescue mission of one 13-year-old Nkechi Oseh, at No. 30 Adeniran Ajao Estate Anthony.
The CP, according to reports, stormed the residence after he got an information from a reliable source that Nkechi’s employer, one Ms Betty Ifeoma, a staff of NNPC Lagos state office, was in the habit of locking her up for weeks anytime she is travelling within or out of the country leaving her with only two (2) packets of cabin biscuit.
After she was rescued, Nkechi who was looking pale and malnourished, said she is an orphan. She said whenever her boss travels and locks her in, she resorts to drinking water from the toilet whenever she is thirsty.
It was observed that Nkechi had been subjected to series of domestic attacks as scars were seen all over her body. She told the commissioner of police that she has been locked up at four different times since her uncle brought her from Igboju in Delta state.
In her words, the frail-looking Nkechi said,
“I have been locked up for two weeks, one-week, three-weeks when she traveled to London and since she traveled on Saturday I have been crying before God helped me today.”
During the rescue operation, empty packet of biscuits and a container of eaten food which was passed through the burglary proof for Nkechi to eat was discovered on the floor.
Nkechi is currently under the care of the child protection unit of the ministry of youth and social development Lagos state. The commissioner of police has vowed to get to the bottom of the matter.
