Veteran Comedian, Moses Olaiya, popularly known as Baba Sala is dead.
Baba Sala died at the age of 82.
Popular comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, broke the sad news Tuesday night; “We lost him. What a great loss. An icon is gone”, he wrote on his Instagram page.
The late comedian, who was in limelight for decades, had solicited for funds to further his treatment.
Baba Sala, disclosed his illness at a briefing held on his biography due for presentation on December 4, where he looked frail and spoke with difficulty.
“I need help. Nigerians should help me. I am not dead yet, they should not let me die suffering”, he said.
Baba Sala’s first son, Reverend Dele Adejumo, had said the octogenarian was not suffering from old age but lack of funds for medical treatment, adding that his investments had all been wrecked by poor management.
Adejumo said, “He has investments but they have all been wrecked by mismanagement. He also had a three-storey building in Mushin, Lagos which he had to sell to offset debt incurred when his work, Orun Mooru, was pirated.
“We still have some of his recorded works not in public yet but machines that will be used to transform them to an acceptable format are not easily available. We do not have the kind of money they are charging us.
“We have been told that baba needs a lot of money for medical treatment abroad. He is suffering from a stroke and other ailments.
“There are many people of his age who are not like this. We are trying our best as family members. We take him to the teaching hospital weekly but he needs proper medical attention.”
Significantly, Baba Sala started his career in show business as a Highlife musician, fronting in 1964 a group known as the Federal Rhythm Dandies where he tutored and guided the jùjú music maestro King Sunny Ade who was his lead guitar player.
A Nigerian man, Abdullahi Yusuf, has recounted his experience with a patriotic citizen, Arhyel Dibal, who loves the country so much that even his clothes, wristwatch and his house all bare the Nigerian flag colors; green, white, green. Read what Abdullahi Yusuf shared online.
“His name is Arhyel Dibal, a native of Wandali Village in Kwaya Kusar local government area of Borno state, though he is a resident of Biu town. He is a Lab Technologist by profession, and married with four children two of which are graduates.”
“Last week I went to meet this patriotic Nigerian and from his cloths, shoes and his wristwatch, cap they are all green white green in colour. Not only that his office is a symbol of the kind of love he has for this great nation as he rightly described our country. He told me that even though, he knows that President Muhammadu Buhari loves Nigeria, but he think he loves Nigeria more than the president himself.”
“I asked him, how he started this His green white green revolution, and he said for the past thirty years he has never buy any cloths that is not green white green in color. He said the only time he wears clothes that has different colors, is when The Emir of Biu gave him some royal clothing as a gift. I thought its only his clothing that is green white green, until he showed me the pictures of his house which to my amazement is also painted green white green. I seek his permission to visit his house because I visited him in his office, and he gladly directed me to the house.”
“The house was beautifully designed and painted in green white green with Nigeria map designed at strategic points. Even the tiles on the floor is green white green in color. I met the wife, who told me that it’s because she was working in the farm that day if not she too always wears the green white green. She told me I was a bit late if not I would have met her daughter who was also dressed in green white green. She told me that even though their house is not on the main road, but hardly will a day passes without them having visitors who always came to see the house. His car and that of the wife are also painted green white green.”
“I returned and met him in his office, and I ask him why he is so passionate about Nigeria, and he said, he is where he is today because of Nigeria. He told me that he was opportune to be trained abroad, and he also visited many countries across the world courtesy of Nigeria. He said while he was in school abroad. some nationals of other countries use to ask him some silly questions about Nigeria. He said its only in Nigeria that people don’t show much love to their country and he want to make a difference.”

Do you ever want to trend? or perhaps shut down the Internet? Then be endowed with big chest, and you’d just see yourself trending, for obvious reasons.
A Nigerian lady, Laberry, made an attempt to bring down the internet after she shared photos of her gigantic milk industry on social media.
Trust Nigerians, since they found out about her Instagram page, They’ve since flooded her page with several messages, with many wanting to taste from the source! Whatever that mean..
Few days back, a Lady with the twitter handle, @udala__ accused a Blogger, Unilag Olodo of rape. Simply Identified as Tobi, she took to the Twitter account to allege that the blogger raped her, and then began begging her, after the act.
Unilag Olodo.
Here’s what she wrote;
“In light of this, along with recent events, I’d like to call someone out for rape. Please turn on my post notifications, thank you.”
“I’m going to @ him at the end of this thread, but first the story behind it. I’ll try as much as possible to include every material detail”
“I met this guy through someone I considered my best friend, who in turn met him through her own boyfriend. He had previously come to see me in school with the two of them, bought me dinner, etc, we talked and I thought he was a nice guy so we became friends over a short time”
“Me and my best friend had talked about going to see him and spend the weekend at his place because school was boring and he had free Wi-Fi etc, she went to his place a number of times and I never had time because school work was hectic. “
“Finally, one Saturday I had time.”
“It’s sad that I no longer have screenshots of my chat with him, but we agreed that I would spend the night with him and be back the following day. And we did agree that I was visiting on a strictly platonic level.”
“He even made me feel a bit foolish for suggesting that he’d want sex if I visit, so I assumed he was sane. He ordered an uber and I was on my way.”
“Uber got to the Island and got lost looking for his house, we finally found him and he asked the uber to drop us at the closest domino’s. It was already late by now and domino’s was nearly closing. We ordered pizza and ice cream and waited for another uber.”
“By the time we got to his place I was already sleepy, and he didn’t seem to find any entertainment (we were supposed to watch HTGAWM online but he couldn’t find a good site) so I just decided to eat and sleep. We were on the same bed but slept on opposite sides at first”
“But then he started getting all cuddly and I wasn’t comfortable for a number of reasons, so I pushed him away a couple of times. Then he begged and said it would just be cuddling and I let him.”
“Didn’t take too long for cuddling to become another thing, started touching sensitive areas of my body and moving down my pants. It wasn’t even hard for him because I removed my jeans and changed into shorts. The entire time I’m pushing him away, he’ll pause, then continue”
“Got to a point I left the bed for him, I even told him I’ll be just as comfortable sleeping in the bath tub, then he came back and begged me to sleep on the bed again. So I did, and he left me for a while.”
“But again he started touching me, took off the shorts completely and started giving me oral, that’s when I really started struggling and fighting him off, mostly because I had a boyfriend and I never wanted it to get to that point.”
“Didn’t take long for him to slide in, there was already saliva all over my vagina, and from there crying and begging couldn’t help me. He was looking at me the entire time, but it was like my face was invisible. He didn’t stop until he came. Then when he was done he left me”
“Then he started begging me, telling me he never planned for this to happen, and that he really likes me and he just wanted to spend time with me. After a while I left the corner where I had been crying and I went and locked myself in his bathroom. He started calling and texting”
“Threatening to break down the door so we can talk. Talk about what? “
“The following day was Sunday, I came out before 7 I think. Spent the night in the bathroom blaming myself, wondering what I’ll tell my boyfriend, etc. When I came out he continued his epistle from last night.”
“Telling me he likes me etc. I told him to call me an uber, he did. I didn’t say anything to him, I do swear that I would shame him, for me it was just “pass my card. Pass my jeans” etc. I didn’t even know what to say, or if talking was even enough.”
“Before I left he gave me money for uber and postinor. I got to school and went to church. Came back and after a while I told my boyfriend and we talked about it, and I had to go around the hostel pretending I didn’t know why my eyes were swollen.”
“I blocked him. “
“I told my friend about it, and instead of her to relate with me and be understanding, she started investigating me, making me blame myself and doubt the validity of my story.”
“Instead of confronting him herself, she made me unblock him so she could hear his explanation. She made me reach out to my rapist, I don’t know which is more traumatic between being raped and being forced to reach out to the rapist.”
“Too bad she’s not on twitter, but I’ll still mention him. “
“When I reached out to him he said I’m painting him as a villain, and I actually let him know that I can take action against him, not as a threat, but as a fact. He kept saying he never intended for it to happen”
“He had the guts to ask if we could still be cool. I actually regret not speaking up early, this happened in June this year. When I had enough of his excuses I blocked him again. I’ve since lost that number so he can’t contact me on it.”
“I spoke about this yesterday with @OtunbaBillz and he went to his dm. This is what @OtunbaBillz told me he said about the whole thing”
“Lol I’m blackmailing him, for what? Money? A 5.0CGPA? He kept saying he never intended for it to get this far and that this looks like a setup. Ok.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, the man I’m referring to is @unilagolodo”
“I know a lot of you follow him. You’d know him.”
“I’m tired of trying to forgive something like this. I deserve peace too, before I’ll hear one day that he’s happily married, and the wound opens up all over again. I feel like if I come out with this, I’ll feel like a little justice has been done.”
Unilag Olodo.
UnilagOlodo real names, Ibrahim Salawu of course responded to the accusation, and said he’d not exchange words with her on Social media, rather he’d let the law enforcement handle it.
“I just woke up and saw I’ve been accused of rape. I know Tobi. I DID NOT RAPE HER. RAPE IS A HEINOUS CRIME. I AM NOT A RAPIST. GOD WILL VINDICATE ME IN ALL THAT WILL FOLLOW. ??”
He continued; “Rape is a very serious crime, and false accusation of rape is also a very serious crime. Other than treat this crime as Social Media drama, I’ll let Law Enforcement handle it.”
Now, Ibrahim has submitted a petition to Lagos Police to help seek justice.. He took to his Instagram to share a picture of the petition submitted, and wrote;
The undue hardship I have faced in the past few days is unbearable. False allegations of sexual misconduct is now used as a weapon to destroy lives.
I have never faced so much hate and ridicule in my life. I am deeply traumatised and have lost my peace of mind and opportunities to earn a living off a business I have built with my sweat, tears and blood.
I will stop at nothing to establish my innocence. I refuse to apologise for a crime I did not commit. I have never raped anyone and I have always advocated against sexual crimes and misconduct.
My petition has been submitted to law enforcement authorities, and I believe that justice will be done at the end of the day.
There was a Prayer post from a Nathanielblow’s Instagram handle which reads; “May you not marry an enemy in the name of a spouse in Jesus’ mighty name”.

A Nigerian Lady on Instagram, with the handle, @Didisassy, has said that it is very rude and disrespectful for Nigerian men to grab the butt of their wives or girlfriend in public.
In Her words she said: “For me, I do not support it. I do not like it. I feel it is uncalled for, uncessary, rude, disrespecul. It means you don’t have respect for your girlfriend. Why would you do that? It’s just attention seeking..”
“Some people go for event, and they want to grab their girlfriend’s ass, just maybe because Kanye did it to Amber rose or Kim Kardashian, and you feel you should to it to a Naija girl.”
“Anyways, some Nigerian girls do not have home training. Cos if you have home training, you’d know that, it is rude to you, and it’s not right, why will a guy grab your ass? It is wrong. It is never right.”
Watch her video below;
Some comments:
2ndetade: Well your opinion…..some ladies may like it for their guy to that…..it might just be what spice of their relationship….. If them like….make dem do quickee inside car….who cares…..abeg…next topic….this one no concern anybody

Just moment ago, we brought you reports and snapshots of how Banky W mistakenly shared Adesua’s bare butt in her g-string, while recording his SA Experience.
Folks on Social media felt it was intentional, because of the caption used; “My goodness” with the love struck Emoji!
Below is the actual video Banky posted, and it seems as if it wasn’t intentional.. as he quickly switched the camera to the “back view,” probably after seeing his wife trying to put on her panties..

Some reactions on Social media;
@lusciouspeenut: Omotola took her time to advise Banky W and Adesua to take their marriage off social media immediately after their wedding, but they didn’t listen to her. Now there’s a leaked nude of Adesua on the Internet. Very what? Very good.
@PapazLagos: Banky W should take his marriage off social media ffs, see what he’s done and the marriage is barely one week.
@officialdaddymo: We all know what happens when newly weds are on honeymoon. Banky W didn’t need to inform social media. Sigh….

Just incase you are in the dark, last week, CNN published a report on modern day slavery in Libya, featuring a video that reportedly was shot in August and appeared to show a man selling African migrants for farm work for only a couple hundred bucks (Watch the video below);
“Big strong boys,” the man said in the video, according to a CNN narrator. “400 … 700 … 800,” he called out the mounting prices. The men were eventually sold for about $400 each, CNN reported. The Libyan government said it has launched an investigation into slave auctions in the country.
Singer, Chris Brown has lent his voice to the slave trade boom going on in Libya after the viral report, exposing the trade.
The report uncovered a market where Nigerians and other Africans are auctioned off as slaves, kept in dehumanizing conditions, sexually abused, and even killed for their organs. Most of the world have been silent about the menace until recently. And Chris Brown is outraged by the silence.
Yesterday, a video of a macho man, shouting down at a woman in an eatery in Lagos was shared online, and it immediately went viral.
In the video, the man Identified as Chidi was seen threatening the woman, “I will just kill you”, “Ashewo”..
Watch the video below;
Apparently, Chidi is Don Jazzy’s Bodyguard, and Don Jazzy just relieved him of his job.
Don Jazzy.
In a chat with LIB, a remorseful Chidi said he regrets his actions and that it was the woman calling him a thief that got him angry to speak to her in such manner..
‘I entered the eatery and parked my car. I ensured that I wasn’t blocking anyone before I went in to place my order. While I was waiting to be attended to, the lady walked in, tapped me on my back and in a loud voice, asked me to go outside to repark my car. She said why would I park my car like a thief. Her indirectly calling me a thief got me angry and that was why I spoke to her in that maner and called her unprintable names. I never meant the threat of beating her. My mother raised me well never to beat a woman. When I was leaving the eatery, I was sad over the incident’.
Chidi says if given the opportunity, he would apologise to the woman.
Apparently, Banky W could not contain his excitement following the after party experience of his wedding ceremony.
The new groom made a social media post that revealed what seems to be a naked Adesua.
It appears the picture was taken just after a session of wild fun and Banky W was quick to share it on social media.
Though, some say, she’s probably in a Bikini, and they were just heading out to take a swim!
He has since deleted the video, not until screenshots were taken.
“Keep your life away from the social media” This and many more words had been the parting shots of many who attended #BAAD2017 in the bid to help the couple stay strong and married!
However, it seems the lack of adherence to this rule might be drawing Banky W and his new bride Adesua Etomi into social media troubles.
Oh well!

A bank worker, Olaoluwa Adejo, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for the death of his 28-year-old wife, Maureen, at their home on Peluola Street, Oworonshoki, in the Bariga area of the state.
The 32-year-old Lagos indigene was alleged to have tortured his wife of five years with a belt, as well as cutting her with a machete.
Their five-year-old son, Richard, in whose presence the incident reportedly happened, told PUNCH Metro that his father also forced a local insecticide, otapiapia, down the throat of his mother.
“I am Richard Adejo. I am five years old. My daddy beat my mummy with a belt; machete her here (shows arms), machete her here (shows legs). He used the belt on her here (points at face); forced my mummy to drink otapiapia (insecticide). My daddy took my mummy away.
“My daddy said my mummy should get out of the house. My mummy said no. In the night, my daddy woke my mummy up and said, ‘Mosquito is too much, let me go and buy otapiapia’. My daddy forced my mummy to drink it. She shook her head. She vomited.
“My daddy slapped my mummy. My mummy did not do anything to him. My daddy gave her one blow. My daddy kicked her. My daddy told her to get out of the house and carry her load. Small blood came out. My daddy slapped her, kicked her, machete her, blow her, and put otapiapia in her mouth and in the food,” Richard told our correspondent during an interview on Monday.
The victim’s mother, Mrs. Kate Jonathan, told PUNCH Metro that Richard had given more graphic details of the incident to family members, police authorities and officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.
She explained that her daughter had packed out of her matrimonial house five days to the incident and was living with her when she decided to return for a party at the children’s school. She said she never returned alive.
She said, “I was called on the telephone by an unknown number around 4pm on Sunday, November 12. The caller said, ‘Your daughter’s husband has killed her at Oworo’. He dropped the call.
“Around 5pm when I got to their house, I discovered that the house was locked up. There were two boys guarding the house and they refused to open the door to me, saying the owner of the house instructed them not to open the door.
“I didn’t see my daughter or her husband. I was begging them to open the door when I saw Richard jumping up through the window. He saw me and asked the boys to open the door, but they refused.
“I broke the louvers of the window. The boy climbed a stool and said from inside, ‘my father has killed my mother and taken her away.’”
She said she reported the case at the Oworonshoki Police Station, where she was told that the suspect had already reported that his wife committed suicide by taking local insecticide, Sniper.
Jonathan said after making her statement, she left the station.
PUNCH Metro was told that Olaoluwa had already deposited the body of his wife in the Gbagada General Hospital mortuary and had allegedly gone to obtain court documents to enable him to bury her.
Our correspondent learnt that he was asked to return to the police station for a certain document, which led to his arrest based on his mother-in-law’s complaint.
The suspect was said to have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.
However, the couple’s three children were said to have been taken to a family friend, a policeman, who lived in Agric, in the Ikorodu area.
Due to the insistence of the mother-in-law, the police were said to have demanded the release of the couple’s first child, Richard, for interrogation.
In a meeting at the SCIID, Yaba, Richard was alleged to have given an account of how his mother was allegedly murdered by his father.
The police reportedly ordered the removal of the corpse from the Gbagada General Hospital mortuary to the morgue of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.
The victim’s mother, Jonathan, who claimed to have visited the mortuary, said Maureen’s body had machete cuts and other torture marks.
She said, “My daughter, who worked as the manager of my chemical company had, about a week to the incident, complained that her husband said we would soon see her obituary.
“I sent my eldest daughter to accompany her to the house to know what happened. The man begged and said he was only joking. He said he really loved his wife. I insisted that she pack out of the house.
“She was in my house for three days before she said she wanted to return home because her children’s school would be having a cultural party. She left and went to the party with her husband on Saturday. It was that night that she was brutalised and killed by the husband. From what we saw in the mortuary, she had blood in her nostrils and deep cuts in her hands and legs.”
The victim’s mother asked that Maureen’s three children, namely, Richard, five; Henry, three; and Omowunmi, six months, be released to her.
The policeman with the couple’s two children, Ajisafe, said he believed Olaoluwa did not kill his wife.
He explained that the suspect’s aged mother handed over the children to him for safekeeping.
The 83-year-old mother of the suspect, Florence Adejo, also denied that her son murdered Maureen.
She said, “He came to knock on the door of my house late that night. He fell on the ground and started weeping and lamenting that his wife had destroyed him. A crowd gathered in front of the house where I am the landlady. They tried to console him. He said his wife took Sniper. He said he thought it was a joke until their son, Richard, went to bring the container of the insecticide.
“She was taken to a private hospital where she was initially rejected before she was taken to the general hospital where she died. I was told her mother sells the insecticide and she brought it home for mosquitoes. Why she decided to drink it is what is beyond my understanding. My son said they didn’t have any disagreement between them and she was not mentally ill.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, said investigations were ongoing into the incident.
He said, “The man came to report that his wife committed suicide. The DPO put some questions to him. We thought we should investigate further to know what really happened because there are some doubts we need to clear in the matter. The police are not accepting the claim of suicide hook, line, and sinker. The matter is at the SCIID and investigations are ongoing.”

Delectable Actress Meghan Markle will be the first American to marry a British royal since the marriage of Wallis Simpson to King Edward VIII, a union so controversial that he was forced to give up the throne in December 1936 to go through with it.
In their first joint interview since they announced their engagement today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spoke to BBC moments ago and they revealed how the engagement proposal happened.
According to them, it was a “cosy night” at their shared cottage on the Kensington Palace “I think I managed to catch her by surprise,” the prince said. “It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got down on one knee” Markle added.

The two revealed that they started dating in July after they were set up on a “blind date” by a female friend. “I’d never watched ‘Suits,’” Harry said of his thoughts before that first date. “I’d never heard of Meghan before.”
Markle said she only had a distant familiarity with the royals at the time, and had just one question before the date: “Is he nice?”
They said they hit it off and really got to know each other a few months later, when Harry invited Markle to visit Botswana with him. “We camped out with each other under the stars,” Harry said.
Markle said the long-distance courtship was a challenge, as was the sudden media spotlight that came with publicly dating a prince. She says she tried to avoid the headlines, including criticism over her ethnicity.
“It’s a shame that that is the climate in this world, to focus that much on that. At the end of the day I’m really just proud of who I am and where I come from” Markle said.

Pastor of This Present House, Tony Rapu, who officiated at Banky W and Susu’s wedding has given Banky some solid marriage advice.
He shared a picture of himself and Banky W from the wedding, and wrote;
“Dear Son,”
“These days many women are independent and quite successful in their own right. But always remember that even the most independent and successful woman wants the man she loves to love, honor and cherish her.”
“Honour means to hold her in high regard and treat her like the lady she is. Make it clear to her that she is secure.”
“She needs to know she’s worthy of your love and care. Give her your undivided attention and let her know she’s the most important thing in your life.”
“Remember that the little things you do for her every day matter. Do remember to pray with her and for her on a regular basis.”
A female lawyer, Yewande Oyediran was today found guilty for stabbing her husband to death at their Ibadan home.
Yewande, a former staff of the Department of Public Prosecution in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice, was accused of killing her husband with a knife after a disagreement on February 2, 2016, at their residence in Akobo area of Ibadan.
She has now been sentenced to seven years imprisonment for manslaughter at the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, on Monday. She was arrested and arraigned in court, but she pleaded not guilty to the murder charge preferred against her.
According to Punch, the court said the convict was charged on a murder count and evidence pointed to Yewande as the killer of her husband; but witnesses presented by the defence counsel failed to establish the intent behind the killing.
The court held that going by the relationship between Yewande and her husband as husband and wife (at the time of the husband’s death), the killing was done without intent.
The couple had no child together. The judge said that with the evidence before the court, the convict and her late husband had frequently engaged in domestic violence.
He also adjudged the evidence of the couple’s landlord and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Akinpelu, as credible. The landlord and his wife had told the court that they saw the convict holding a knife, while the deceased was in a pool of blood.
“Having seen the defendant holding a knife and the defendant had earlier confirmed that she had earlier stabbed her husband with a pair of scissors a day before, I hold that it was the defendant that stabbed the deceased,’’ said the judge.
Abimbola also said that he took into consideration the autopsy report of Prof. Abideen Oluwashola, a consultant from the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
“According to the autopsy report, the deceased died as a result of shock from a deep wound caused by a sharp object,’’ Abimbola said.
The court said the evidence of the convict could not be relied upon, because her statement with the Police was different from her statement before the court.
Earlier, the defence counsel, Mr. Leye Adepoju, had, on the basis that his client was a first time offender, prayed the court to be lenient with the term of the sentence.
He added that imprisonment was not to ruin, but to reform.
“If it is too long, it would ruin the life and as well jeopardise the job of the defendant, being a legal practitioner,” he said.
The prosecution counsel, Mr. Sanya Akinyele, however, said he was leaving the issue of the sentencing to the discretion of the court.
In his judgment, Justice Abimbola convicted Yewande of manslaughter. Her sentence was to start running since the day of her arrest, the judge said.
The day of judgement was initially slated for November 24, 2017, but the judge moved the day to November 27, 2017 because of other engagements at the Nigerian Judicial Commission.

Ruggedman has thrown a shade to Media Personality, Toke Makinwa after reports that the latter is currently dating Billionaire Festus Fadeyi.
Recall, we brought you earlier reports, that the children of the Billionaire Oil Tycoon cried out and warned Toke Makinwa to leave their father alone..
Posting on his social media today, Ruggedman threw some sort of shade to Toke.. Though he didn’t mention names, he said: “So you complain that your man cheated on you only for you to be cheating with someone else’s husband.”
Trust Nigerians, folks were quick to tell who his post was referring to, and they say it’s no other person than Toke Makinwa.
Recall Toke Makinwa many months back, called out her ex-husband, Maje Ayida, in her bestselling memoir, “On Becoming,” where she detailed her life’s journey, her struggle with a philandering husband who got a mistress pregnant, and how his infidelity almost drove her to suicide.
Fast forward to present day, rumours are already making rounds that Toke Makinwa is in a relationship with the Managing Director and Chairman of Pan Ocean Oil (Corporation) Nigeria Ltd. And it got messy following claims that the man’s children are opposed to the relationship.
Dear Banky and Adesua, please, I don’t want to hear pim.
Marriage is the coming together of two naked wires that are expected by the society not to spark. Its either they learn how to regulate the surging currents or they learn how to entertain the public with fire works!
We have seen enough fireworks in Nigeria to last us a life time. We have also seen beautiful regulations of currents. We have seen it all.
From the day you (Banky) said “will you”, many of us nodded as though the question was for us. Susu said yes and that was it.
Let me tell you why your marriage seems personal to me and many others.
I have watched Adesua grow. From Knocking on heavens door to wedding party one. She has an air of likeability hovering over her. Arguably, she is the least hated actress in the industry.
I know that millions of Nigerians feel this way about her too. I think that is why your wedding was a bomb.
More importantly, I want your marriage to be a greater bomb. Because, I will not take it lightly with the two of you. I don’t want to hear that one thing happened and another thing happened that led to something else to happen.
I don’t want!
I will not agree.
I am taking this personal because I believe in your love and decision to walk down the isle of life with yourselves.
This is one of the celebrity marriages I’m keen to see work out really well. Maybe because I love beautiful people. Maybe because Banky gave us Wizkid. Maybe because your love is infectious. Maybe because I don’t know the reason.
But, please, I don’t want to hear pim.
Love yourselves.
Bare your vulnerability and flaws on each others feet.
Own your mistakes.
Don’t let a problem sour.
Microwave the problem or deep-freeze it before it sours.
Don’t let people like freeze use you people as bad examples.
Don’t give bloggers bad news to carry.
Starve your enemies of happiness. In essence, you shouldn’t give them one reason to smile.
Don’t let Nigerians say “so, after all the noise and Cape Town wedding… ”
Don’t!
I pray your marriage be more colorful than your wedding.
I pray God blesses you two immeasurably
May happiness arrest you both and never grant you bail.
Cheers

The family of Bilyaminu Bello, the son of ex-PDP chairman, Haliru Bello, who was recently stabbed to death by his wife, Maryam Sanda, have finally broken their silence on the very sad incident that occured on Sunday, November 19th.
A brother of the deceased who spoke to the Nation, said the family is still in shock over the unfortunate incident.
The brother who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they are waiting on the law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice prevails in this matter. The brother of the deceased spoke at a night of tribute held in honor of the deceased in Abuja last Thursday.
“So far, the family is grieving. Maryam’s family have come to pay their condolence. The mother has come but what is more painful is the fact that Maryam does not look remorseful for what she did at all. I just pray one day, she finds it in her heart to honestly say what it is that made her do what she did.
As a family, we are looking at the authority to do what is right, to let justice prevail. This is an example to others. The way this case is treated will determine how we move forward…Bilyamin was not just my older brother but best friend.” he said
A friend of the deceased, Hakeem Ali, who also spoke at the night of tribute, said Bilyaminu was a prisoner in his matrmonial home. He denied allegations that Bilyaminu was a serial cheater.
‘My friend was being held a prisoner in his own home. He couldn’t leave the house in the sense that it was an ongoing thing; the abuse went on for a while. For me there is a difference between love and when somebody is being obsessive. People tend not to understand the difference between love and obsession.
It wasn’t the best marriage and I believe either of them could have just walked away. It’s easier to sit down in that sorrow and think you can change things, or that if I can’t have him, no one will. I don’t consider it love. I can’t speak on his behalf. I can’t speak on his personal issue, he is a good friend and he is gone.
He was that one guy that the minute we step out, we will be like, it is time for you to go home, your wife is about to call, after hanging out for as little as an hour or even 30 minutes. Even in the afternoon because she always calls.
So we formed the habit of going to see him at home. The situation with the law, there are a lot of speculations right now on social media but if Nigeria should excuse people for murder just because they have a child, then if I am a murderer, then I will keep on having babies every week, that is not an excuse, for me.
If somebody has committed a murder, either intentionally or by mistake, she should not be allowed to even see her baby because you don’t even know her state of mind. I don’t understand the system. A conversation has to begin on domestic violence against men as well because it’s becoming recurrent.
If it is a case of murder by mistake then there is a price to pay of which a family can forgive but only God gives life and only God can take it. So, if you take a life, then your life should be taken. It is that simple. If the evidence shows it is a murder, then there is no excuse. It should be a case of an eye for an eye. It is that simple.”
Another friend of the deceased, Jemila Shehu, who was also at the tribute night, suggested that Maryam might have bipolar disorder or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD
”I have no idea. I was not in her mind. I don’t know what she was thinking. All I know is that they both loved each other. There was love there, only God knows. It beats my imagination and I don’t want to think about it or give any excuse as a Muslim.
He is gone but I don’t know what she was thinking. I don’t know what to think about her. For me, she should be punished. She committed murder. So, she should serve the punishment fully. This happened to someone that was loved by a lot of people. He was kind, quiet and people knew them to be in love.
So, it beats everybody’s imagination. Domestic violence should be treated. People should relax, love is not by force. Obsession is a disease.
There are a lot of people in Nigeria that are sick but people don’t know because you think that if you go to the therapist, they look down on you or think you are crazy but there are a lot of PTSD, bipolar patients and they live among us. Maybe she flipped, maybe it was a psychotic break or maybe she planned it.”
