Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe is refusing to eat in protest against his confinement, one of his close family members has told MailOnline.
The frail 93-year-old has not accepted any food since Saturday, the source revealed, as he continues to be held under house arrest at his Blue Roof mansion.
Mugabe’s nephew Patrick Zhuwao said on Saturday that Mr Mugabe was ‘willing to die for what is correct’.
A Zanu-PF minister confirmed to MailOnline that Mr Mugabe is also refusing to speak as part of his days-long protest.
‘The old man has been trying a lot of various tricks since last night,’ the minister, who asked not to be named, said. ‘Hunger strikes, making threats and refusing to talk.’
Zimbabwe’s ruling ZANU-PF party held a special meeting on its central committee on Sunday to remove Mugabe as its leader and kick him out, Chris Mutsvangwa, the head of the powerful liberation war veterans said.
Also on Sunday, Mugabe is set to discuss his expected exit with army commander Constantino Chiwenga, who put him under the house arrest that he is protesting with a hunger strike.
Mutsvangwa, who has led the campaign to oust Zimbabwe’s ruler of the last 37 years, said Zanu-PF’s meeting would also reinstate ousted vice-president Emmerson Mnangagwa and remove Mugabe’s wife, Grace, as head of the Zanu-PF Women’s League.
‘We are going all the way,’ Mutsvangwa said as he headed into the meeting, adding that Mugabe should just resign and leave the country. ‘He’s trying to bargain for a dignified exit but he should just smell the coffee and gap it.’
Zanu-PF Central Committee members stood and cheered as the official chairing the emergency meeting announced plans to remove Mugabe from his leadership post on Sunday.
Obert Mpofu told the committee that they were meeting with ‘a heavy heart’ because Mugabe had served the country and contributed ‘many memorable achievements’.
But Mpofu said in his opening remarks that Mugabe’s wife ‘and close associates have taken advantage of his frail condition’ to loot national resources. The party will also discuss reinstating recently fired Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The army threatened to let a mob lynch the dictator if he didn’t stand down, MailOnline revealed on Saturday. Now Mugabe has responded by rejecting all food.
‘If he dies under military custody, even by natural causes, then the army will be held responsible by the international community,’ the family member, who asked not to be named, said. ‘That is how the president is trying to put pressure on the army.’
The family member also said that Grace Mugabe was by her husband’s side at the Blue Roof mansion yesterday, and is thought to still be there today.

Chioma Obiadi, the current Miss Nigeria, has said in a recent interview with Punch Newspapers, that she can never respect her husband, if he isn’t smart.
When speaking on romance, she said: “My husband must be God-fearing and smart because if he is not smart, I may not be able to respect him. Of course, the man must completely adore me too.”
Full Interview Below;
Background
I grew up in a family of six, including my mother and father. I have three younger brothers. When you are raised in the midst of boys, you must be strong because we were doing things together and I didn’t want to be left out. Growing up, I was not a quiet kid. I have always been playful and I have always loved fun. I like adventures too. I can still remember playing football and television games with my brothers. We would also stay up at night to gist till we fell asleep.
Education
I had my elementary education at Handmaids International Catholic School in Lagos. For my post-elementary education, I attended Our Lady of Fatima Academy in Osun State. I am currently a final year student of Geology and Meteorology at the Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka. Though I went to a boarding Catholic school for my secondary education, I had an amazing time and I believe it made me who I am today. It was a quiet and religious school. But I was always missing my parents and siblings; I always looked forward to coming home or seeing them during our visiting days.
Beauty pageants
Miss Nigeria isn’t the first beauty pageant I contested. As an undergraduate, I won my department’s pageant and the Face of UNIZIK award. I was the second runner-up at the Miss Anambra beauty pageant in 2015. I felt disappointed that I didn’t win Miss Anambra, but I tried not to let it weigh me down. I went home and developed myself to become better.
Parents
My parents are supportive, but my father was skeptical about me going into pageantry at the outset. He told me I had to get into the university before contesting in pageants. After getting into school and doing well, I spoke about it with my mum who later convinced him.
Challenges
I think the major challenge is trying to be what you feel people expect you to be. But I have decided to be myself and not to change who I am. I feel no matter how hard you try, you cannot be another person. So, I try so much to be myself and I do what I normally do even when I wasn’t Miss Nigeria.
Also, combining my education with the activities of Miss Nigeria is challenging. I hardly have time to unwind with friends. I am always going from one duty to another. But I haven’t lost friends; my friends are very understanding.
Role models
My role model is Oprah Winfrey because she went through a lot of challenges in life but she still managed to be successful. In Nigeria, I admire Agbani Darego. I believe she got to the peak of her career as a beauty queen without scandals and she is living a peaceful life.
Lessons
I have learnt that life is not a bed of roses. You have to work for anything you want in life. Also, since I have a lot of people looking up to me as a beauty queen, my actions are no longer mine alone. Before I take any step, I need to consider and think of the impact it would create on people that look up to me as their role model. You need to be very careful as well with whatever you do so that it is not used against you or misinterpreted.
Personality
I am a peaceful and fun-loving girl. I like to dance, travel and meet people. My dream is to become a very successful businesswoman and get married to the love of my life.
Romance
I think love is giving, love is sacrifice and it is a decision. You cannot decide to fall in love, but you can decide to stay in love. My husband must be God-fearing and smart because if he is not smart, I may not be able to respect him. Of course, the man must completely adore me too. I want to have two children, a girl and a boy.
Inspiration
I am inspired by the better life that is ahead of me. I also get inspired thinking of how I can influence people around me.
Legacy
I want to be seen as a woman who believes nothing is too big to be achieved. Just as you can create hell in your mind, you can also create heaven in your mind. It is your choice.
Fashion
I like classy and chic. I believe that less is more. I don’t have a favorite colour, so, I like to experiment. I can’t be caught wearing a synthetic hair or tattoos. However, I am open to change but for now, I don’t have any interest in tattoos. I am comfortable with my body and I love it the way it is.
Remember a Nigerian Lady, Labinjo Ayotomide Enitan who many months back claimed Davido had sex with her without condom, and had a baby together, but later denied the baby and said he’s not the father..
The child, Anu Adeleke, clocked 4 years today, and to celebrate her, Labinjo took to her Facebook to write;
“A blessing in all ramifications.. It wasn’t difficult to love nd cherish u the first day I set my eyes on u as a bby because u were a gift from him to us especially me… You have been a blessing to us all, may this new phase of your life bring u more of God’s fulfilment, Mercy nd Favor… U have been a source of joy to me… May I never have a reason to weep over u In Jesus Name.. Happy birthday my first fruit. Mitchelle,Anuoluwapo Adeleke..I love you sooooo much.”
Ayomide said they would not have been in this paternity mess, “if only Davido had listened to me and worn a condom.”
When asked why she would allow anybody to have unprotected sex with her, Ayomide alleged that the singer was not a fan of wearing condoms during sex as she recounted in details what allegedly transpired the two times she alleged they had sex.
The young lady claimed, “The reason I slept with him the first time we met was because I just wanted to catch my fun. The day we met at the club, Ebevande, I was with my friends, I did not really know him then but I just knew he was an artiste. I went out with my female friends; we had like a ladies night out; then one of his bouncers came to meet me and told me that his boss wanted to see me. I actually thought it was the owner of the club that wanted to see me. When I got to where they were, I noticed that it was David and he was with B. Red. I greeted both of them, B. Red did not respond but David did and we talked. He collected my pin and asked me to return to my seat. When they were about to leave, the bouncer came to meet me again and informed me that they wanted to leave. My friends thought we were all going together but when we all got to the car, he asked my friends to go back. He said that I was the one he wanted to see.
Labinjo Ayotomide Enitan
“We went to the Genesis Hotel. When we got to the room, we talked for a long while before we had sex. He is a very jovial person and he loves talking. He made me laugh a lot and we talked at length. B. Red was in the other room. I insisted that he should protect himself by wearing a condom before sex but he refused. He said that he does HIV test every two weeks. Then I asked him how sure he was that I did not have any disease but he said he was very sure I did not have a disease. After he had said all that, I told him to just do what he wanted to do and allow me go home in the morning. That night, he had sex with me twice. You would know he was in the mood to have sex that night and it lasted for a while. He has a big manhood and it hurt me a little. The second time was when he noticed I was leaving in the morning and he just wanted to have sex with me again.
“The second time, the sex did not last long because he was very tired and he did not even know when I left the hotel. I do not drink or smoke but David drinks and smokes. He drank and smoked in the club” she alleged.
Labinjo told Saturday Beats that she was shocked that Davido said he gave her money as she claimed she had never received a dime from the singer since they met. In her words, she described the self-acclaimed Omo Baba Olowo as “a very stingy person.”
“I saw where he said he sent money to my family and that is a lie. The question I would ask is that what account did he pay the money into? He should bring out the bank teller. He has never given me money. If they said they have given me money, there would be a record or evidence and they should bring it out. Even when we had sex, he never gave me money for transport. David is a very stingy person and I would not be the first person saying this. I have heard it from different girls, David is very stingy,” she said.
When asked if she was certain that the pop star is the father of her child, she answered in the affirmative. She claimed as of the time they met, she did not have a boyfriend and she is not one to jump from one bed to another.
Labinjo said, “I am very sure he is the father of my child because I did not have a boyfriend when we met. I had some male friends but it was just a platonic relationship I had with them and nothing serious. I don’t jump from one bed to another and that is why I am very bold and certain that he is the father of my child. If I had been sleeping around, I would not be that bold to talk.”
She was quick to add that all she wanted was for the singer to step forward for another DNA test. Labinjo said that even if the result shows that Davido is the father of her child, she doubts mutual love would co-exist between them because of the way he has treated her all these years.
The mother of one also hinted that the matter may soon be taken to court.
“I just want him to take up his responsibility but I heard he is not ready for another DNA. My mother has gone to a lawyer and we would eventually go to court because I know we have a good case. I was told that even if David does not want to step out for a DNA, any of his siblings could step in for him. Once everything is settled, I just want him to take care of his daughter but there cannot be mutual love between us. Even the way he talks to me cannot allow for mutual love,” she said.
Davido and Imade.
Meanwhile, in a chat with Sunday Punch, Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, had reportedly said, “Davido is not the father of the baby.”
When asked if the singer would be willing to undergo another DNA test, he retorted, “He is not going for another DNA test. After all, a test was conducted and it turned out negative. DNA tests are never wrong. Davido had never met her before she showed up at his house claiming that he is the father of her child. She is just an opportunist looking for quick money and fame.”
So we all know how 2Baba and his lovely wife, Annie Idibia were out on a birthday vacation some days ago in Dubai yeah? Well, it looks like they stumbled on Gucci master, Hushpuppi after they visited a club in the UAE city.
Hushpuppi, upon meeting the Nigerian music mogul, admitted to how stunned he was at the humility of the singer.
He said: “Chai Jesus, see as Human being humble, damn. Thanks for the love TuBaba and your beautiful wife, Annie and of course queen Tiwa Savage”.
Not only did the lovely couple meet with the big boy, but also with Nigerian music sensation, Tiwa Savage.
It’s apparent they had a whale of a time in the city of Dubai though…
Music mogul, 2Baba Idibia and his wife, Annie Idibia with their lovely kids, some days back jetted out to Dubai for the actress’s birthday vacation.
The actress celebrated her birthday some days ago and she, her hussy and daughters, Isabel and Olivia, were out of the country for a vacation in Dubai.
Nollywood actress have revealed how she had to fight through smoking addiction, masturbating and her guilty habit of dating married men.
She made this touching ‘confession’ on her IG and she has since been getting positive comments from her fans
Here’s what she wrote;
Part 1..Am sharing this testimony because I want to honour the one behind the transformation in my life. I have always been a God fearing girl, my relationship with the Holy Spirit is one that gets stronger by the day. Am grateful for being connected to a great man of God David Ibiyeomie whom through his teachings and books have brought me closer to God. There’s a difference between having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and being religious. Am glad I can boldly say I belong to Jesus Christ because I really fear and try my best to obey all I see in His word with the Help of my Sweet Holy Spirit. Before now I was just that young girl that wanted everything some girls thought are the priorities in life. So back then I dated married men whom will end up loving me so much and doing all I asked, thereby spending less time with their wives. Back then it felt good to be loved and taken care by someone’s husband and it seemed normal. But as God may have it i became born again. Attended WOLBI (WORD OF LIFE BIBLE SCHOOL )in Salvation Ministries. I encountered light and stopped everything that has to do with married men and all they had to offer despite the pressure. I became content with what I have and trust me God didn’t lie when He said that He will provide everything I needed if I seek Him first. Letting go of that completely doesn’t make me a perfect girl because no one is perfect but it felt good to go into a covenant with God,and watch Him fulfil His own part. The transformation didn’t end there cause I still had other things I was doing that doesnt glorify God.I use to smoke and mastubate alot and that made me have less friends and because I didn’t want the dirty habits known publicly.Though After WOLBI I stopped smoking and mastubating for a while, after some time ,i backslided and became worst with the habits.I smoke all the time coupled with the challenges i was going through then.In the midst of this I still loved God,kept praying and asking for mercy especially after each action. Am grateful to God because I know He has healed me completely and this is the proof that am free from that demonic influence because
I kept praying and asking for mercy especially after each act. Am grateful to God because I know He has healed me completely and this is the proof that am free from that demonic influence because it was a big battle for me to testify openly. I practiced this secretly because I didn’t want my sister to know about it and especially the public,I didn’t want to mislead my fans because everyone’s grace differs. Please this is to encourage you, no matter what you are doing don’t let go of God’s hands, keep striving to be better. Again for the ones that still date married men cause of money, please stop because the consequences are generational. Same money you will get if you work hard and be content. I wish I can explain better than this but am not a pastor, am just a young girl that has surrendered totally to the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. And for those struggling to stop any habit, don’t be too hard on yourself. Just keep asking the Holy Spirit for help. One day you will testify like me. My testimony isn’t here for you to judge me or unfriend me because the truth is bitter. I am not judging anyone aswell. I believe there’s hope for everyone. If I can be better trust me you can be aswell. Heaven is real, God is real. Am glad I belong to Jesus Christ and He doesn’t judge me. He is your father. Go to Him however you are,He won’t let you down. Please instead of castigating me,take the lesson and keep praying for every one out there. We all are in a battle field. God bless you all.

The Saturday Anambra election has been adjudged “one of the worst” governorship election conducted in the country since the return of democracy in 1999.
Clement Nwankwo, executive director, Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC), said this during a chat with journalists in Awka, the state capital.
He said contrary to how elections should be conducted, the poll was marred by various forms of vote-buying antics.
“The election is very disappointing; this is one of the worst elections that have been conducted in Nigeria since 1999,” he said.
“We are very disappointed with the political parties and the candidates who have spent this much money on elections that should really be a show of citizens’ reference of who governs them next.
“Individuals were being paid from N500 to N5,000.”
He said with such vote-buying antics, candidates who emerge might end up as the worst kind of leaders because “they never really apply some of the resources of the state meant for its development”.
‘Some corps members paid nothing, police officers go hungry’
Nwankwo also said it was discovered that some of the ad-hoc staff were not paid their dues.
“Some of the youth corps members have been paid nothing, housed under very poor and inhumane conditions,” he said.
“They should ordinarily be performing their national youth service but decided to make the sacrifice for the country and come for the election, but they have not been treated properly.
“A lot of the policemen have not even been paid monies to buy meals while they are here and some have not even eaten for more than a day. So, you shouldn’t bring to be part of the election process under such desperate and uncaring condition.
“The police promised 26,000 personnel but apparently not delivering on it because in several areas, police personnel were absent. But the positive part of the whole process is that the police behave reasonably well and the fear of over-policing and intimation of voters did not play out.”
Former Nollywood star turned Nurse, Regina Askia and her daughter, Teesa, are pictured here at a Charity event – if one didn’t know, one would think that they’re actually sisters.
Regina Askia was once Nigeria’s biggest actress but is now a registered nurse in the United States of America, volunteering to help fight the Ebola virus in 2014.
Teesa could pass for the former actress in her hay days as she is a spitting image of her mother, and much more beautiful. See another photo of hers below:

In a chat with Punch’s Sunday Scoop, the actress stated that she is not an attention seeker.
She said;
“I do not need to create any fake controversy to be relevant. My activities are enough to keep me in the news and I don’t lobby for attention. I am always working; so, I don’t have time to indulge in unprofitable ventures. If they can talk about Jesus stupidly, then who else can’t they talk about?”
On speculations that she is currently pregnant, Powers said,
“About the pregnancy news, I’ve already cleared that section; so, I do not wish to talk about that again.
On claims that she is living above her means in order to impress fans, she hissed and said,
A Twitter user with the handle, @lifeofmohammed shared a photo which shows students of Kings College being punished within the school premises.
Mohammed wrote; “What will I call this? Boarders ain’t prisoners smh. This is happening at Kings College Vi Annex.”
Apparently, the students are boarders of the school and probably might have done some mischief, but does that mean they deserved to be treated in this manner?

RnB Singer, Banky W who is all set to marry his fiance, Adesua Etomi, in a traditional wedding that’d go down tomorrow, November 19, has wished singers, Peter and Paul Okoye, formerly PSquare, a Happy Birthday.
The birthday wish came with a little story, a metaphor, a food for thought. He shared, with a photo of beans and dodo, a long caption, which reads:
Which do you prefer?
I just got back to Nigeria recently, after the better part of 4 months away. Naturally, one of the things I missed the most while being away was the food. So I tried going to one of my favourite African restaurants to order some.
Everything seemed normal until I tried to place an order. I asked for beans and plantain… the waiter said I could have one or the other, but not the two at the same time. I was confused. I decided to go for Jollof rice and chicken. Same story. Pounded yam and Egusi??? No, sorry, it’s either pounded yam OR Egusi.. not both together. I was actually at a loss for words. This didn’t make sense to me, at all.
The waiter then tried to explain.. using words like “change”, “growth” and “trying a new direction”. But I didn’t and still don’t understand. Why change what was already perfect? He explained that any option I chose would still taste good. So, because hunger was killing me, I tried it. In the past few days I’d try plantain one day, and then beans another. Etc. And they did taste good. But they were perfect together. Absolutely perfect. The best of the best of African cuisine.
It’s unfortunate that sometimes, with growth, change and whatever-other-word U wanna use… we end up losing sight of where and how we started, and altering what was a perfectly working combination. It makes me sad.
But such is life I guess. For now, I will have to make do with either beans OR plantain, and either Jollof OR chicken, at different times.
It isn’t quite the same though, so here’s hoping one day someone will realize that U should never have to choose between two good things, when both, together, make a perfect combination.
I miss beans & dodo at my favourite restaurant. Sigh.
In other news, happy birthday @peterpsquare & @rudeboypsquare. Shoutout to the chef @judeengees. I love you all. ?? #thebankstatements#foodforthought#yalldothedishes
A self-proclaimed Jesus Christ, with real name, Roland Samuel, who reportedly brainwashes his followers; 300L, 400L students in various universities to abandon their education and abuses them sexually, has reportedly been arrested by NSCDC officers.
Facebook user, Anazodo Echezonachukwu, who narrated the story wrote;
“At last, this bastard and beast was finally caught.
This paedophile and sexual pervert by name Roland Samuel sexually and psychologically abused all these victims in this picture.
Amongst these victims are fellas who were in 300L, 400L in various universities.
They withdrew and followed this bastard who successfully brainwashed them into believing he is the recent “Christ” and cannot commit sin.
He usually engages all these victims in anal sex with an assurance that their sins are forgiven because they are living in “grace”.
Evidences of his teachings are intact.
On this particular occasion, his victims went to eat at a restaurant known as mama put and didnt pay.
When they were asked to pay, they replied that their father in heaven owns everything.
Parents, this guy starts off as the CEO of Soundmind lesson centre in Kosofe Ketu Lagos. He folded this up and alleged that Christ has called him.
Please, be wary of your kids and their place of learning and where they go at all times..
He caught them young and manipulated their mind. The victims are currently in rehabilitation centres as some of them are ready to kill for him.
Luckily, about two already made a confession to NSCDC officials. I pray this bastard is locked up forever and the keys thrown away.

However, a top Government House official revealed that Okorocha was set to unveil statues of former President Olusegun Obasanjo; a former Vice-President, Alex Ekwueme; a former Senate President, late Evans Enwerem; and the first civilian Imo State Governor, Sam Mbakwe.
According to the source, others whose statues would soon be unveiled are those of the first Nigerian President, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe; former Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa; late sage, Obafemi Awolowo; and Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The source said that of Akufo-Addo would be unveiled at a ceremony when he visits the state soon.
The government official added the idea of unveiling the statues was to celebrate leaders, who had through “selfless efforts” contributed to the development of the state, Nigeria and the African continent.
The source said, “The governor is interested in celebrating those who have contributed to the development of mankind, especially on the African continent. In the years to come, these leaders will be no more but their statues will keep them evergreen in the minds of the people.
“With the statues, they have been inducted into the Imo Hall of Fame and have received the highest award in the state called the Imo Merits Award.”
When asked how much each statue cost the state government, the official said they were not as expensive as people were exaggerating.
“It is not as costly as people had exaggerated. Though I don’t know the exact amount, the government cannot use about N500m to erect one statue. It is not possible. The governor is a prudent manager of resources,” he said.

Hollywood actor, Tyrese Gibson, in a new development, has won his court battle over his 10-year-old daughter on Friday, a source told the Daily News.
A Los Angeles judge dismissed a domestic violence restraining order brought by his ex-wife Norma Mitchell and said the parents will return to 50-50 custody of their daughter Shayla in January, the source said.
“He feels great,” the source told The News.
The judge found the allegations that Gibson emotionally and physically battered his daughter were “100% unsubstantiated,” the source said.
Gibson broke down sobbing earlier in the day when the judge denied a stay-away order to Mitchell over her claims Gibson pushed her down stairs in 2004, struck her on two occasions in 2007 and hit her in the face in 2011.
The star grabbed tissues from a box and covered his crying face while the judge read the first half of her two-part ruling. Mitchell filed her original restraining order request in September, seeking protection for both herself and Shayla.
She claimed Gibson hit their daughter so hard in August the child “claimed she could not sit down due to the pain she was experiencing.”
Before closing the courtroom Friday, Judge Shelley Kaufman said Mitchell’s allegations unrelated to Shayla were all either “too remote in time” or failed to meet the burden of proof.
The judge said she found a toxic pattern of “acrimony” between the exes but no “ongoing pattern of abuse.”
Kaufman also addressed highly emotional postings Gibson made on social media during the case.
She said while “melodramatic,” the posts, including a video that named Mitchell two times, did not violate the terms of a temporary restraining order.
“He is a public figure who communicates with the public, and I don’t find this was a mechanism to communicate directly with the restrained parties,” she said.
A Nigerian Guy is full of thanks after he survived a ghastly accident that claimed 18 lives including his mum.
Identified as Fegor Williams on Facebook, he shared his amazing testimony on his Facebook page. He wrote;
I want to take this time to give thanks to the almighty God for what he has done in my life…On july 28 2017 i had an accident on my way to abuja along lokoja road..
A tanker which was carrying fuel fell while trying to get through two keke along the road and it caught fire…The vehicle i was in also caught fire and i passed out..I opened my eyes to see myself on the floor across from where the vehicle containing 18 people including my mom was burning..
i tried to stand up and run because everybody around the area was running because the vehicle was about to explode but i could not and then i noticed that i had sustained multiple injuries all over my body and my right leg was broken and i could not walk..i begged a man who was running to help me and then he carried me to a safe side where the fire would not harm me..i was then taken to the hospital by a man known as pastor daniel..
i spent the night in the hospital in lokoja and it was while i was in the hospital i found out that only me and a man survived in that vehicle but the rest including my mom and the two keke drivers was burnt to ashes..
i tried contacting my family members but i couldn’t because i only knew my moms phone number..i was filled with joy when my family members found me the next day, they said they saw the accident on the news and they came to check for survivors..i was then discharged from that hospital in lokoja and taken to a specialist home in abuja where i received treatments..
i thank God for sparing my life because up till now it’s a mystery how i got out of that vehicle because i dont even know how i got out..and i also thank God that i am able to walk again today because the doctors in the hospital were saying things like i would not be able to walk again and they said my blood was low but the almighty God saw me through and now i am fully healthy and sound…
I lost my mom in that accident and i am now an orphan because i lost my dad two years ago,but that does not make me question God or stop me from thanking him because if not for his mercy and grace i would have been dead by now because some of my mates were burnt to ash in that accident..
The almighty God is indeed a merciful and faithful God,so i urge u Christians to serve him faithfully.
CDQ recently moved into his new apartment in one of the highbrow areas in Lekki, and the excited singer revealed how he usually squats with Masterkraft before now.. He wrote;
“thinking about how the whole thing started 4yrs ago when boys still dey manage with @masterkraft_ for ojodu berger. The Indigenous rapper, has now opened up sharing some interesting stuffs about his past, childhood, and music career.
CDQ says he’d never forget the year 2008 as it was the time he lost his father. Taking a trip down memory lane with Saturday Beats, the singer referred to his father as his best friend and confidant.
CDQ’s dad.
“I was very close to my father who died in 2008. I learnt that he was in his office when he suddenly slumped and he was rushed to the hospital. He was in the hospital for some time before he finally died. His death really affected the family financially. Also, my father was our guide and he advised us on every life situation.
“When I was 16, my father called me and said that he knew that at my age, I would be seeing girls. He gave me a condom and told me that if I must have s*x, I should ensure I wear one. He made it known that he was against pre-marital sex but I should always protect myself if I must engage in the act. He also always advised that as a man, I should always ensure that I worked hard and earn money because by doing so, the ladies would chase me. I have really missed that intimacy and friendship I had with my dad. Also, there was the financial aspect. My father was the one that took care of his extended family. My father taught me not to depend on anybody,” the Sai Baba singer said.
The banker-turned-singer told Saturday Beats that when he wanted to quit the banking hall for recording booths, he did not have the courage to tell his widowed mother being the first child of the family.
“There is no one that would leave a bank job for music that would not be scared of the career change but at that time, I had a lot of pressure on me. I lost my father when I was still in school back then in 2008. That period was when Lagos State was doing road expansion so they broke the two shops my mother had on Alaba Expressway. I am the first child of my family so I had to fend for my family. I had a lot of people who depended on me, so it made the decision even tougher for me when Mastakraft advised me to leave the banking hall for the recording booth. I listened to his advice and took music seriously. He promised me that after six months, things would change in my life if I embraced music squarely and his prediction came to pass.
“I did not tell my mother when I quit my job, she did not even know about my decision. She thought I was working in the bank because I used to give her money from what I made at small shows I performed at. She did not know I was a musician till I started to prosper,” CDQ said.
