Biafra: Military Invasion of Igbo land, Nnamdi Kanu is also Guilty — by Tobenna Obiano

Biafra: Military Invasion of Igboland, Nnamdi Kanu is also Guilty! – by Tobenna Obiano

While we strongly condemn the invasion of Igboland, particularly Abia State by men of the Nigerian army, and the intimidation, abuse and stamping upon the civil rights of the people that followed, we must also condemn unapologetically and in strong terms, the insensitivity, crass ignorance, show of arrogance, craze and foolishness exhibited by Nnamdi Kanu.

It is on record that he consistently misled to a larger extent, an intimidating population of ndi-Igbo, mostly those along the illiterate line and many who may belong to the class of the unemployed. He did a great job in telling them what they wanted to hear and they wholly bought into his thinking.

The protests, as far as they were peaceful, especially as often claimed were okay, the formation of a squad armed or not, within an independent entity was totally unintelligent and stupid. Also, the declaration to boycott, stop or interrupt the forthcoming Anambra Gubernatorial elections is also another ill-informed thinking. It’s myopic too.

It may be recalled that Ralph Uwazuluike who leads MASSOB once advised ndi-Igbo to boycott the last general census and many, especially and again amongst the illiterate class did. Today, revenues that comes to the southeast is meagre solely because of that one million dollar worth of mistake. Today, while Kanu and his IPOB asks people to boycott this forthcoming State elections, remembering the past and to avoid a repeat, Uwazuluike and his group are telling people not to boycott the election that produces democratically elected leaders.

Nnamdi Kanu’s unguarded and reckless utterances, his show of craze and consistent abuse on the entity, Nigeria and her leaders ignited the fire that is currently burning in the South East, particularly in Umuahia, Abia State. This is sad!

Unfortunately, whilst the python dances in Abia state, the Kanu man who many went as far as kissing his feet, worshiping and some ignorant fellows equating him with Jesus, as the true messiah of ndi-Igbo and others, taking him as god, Kanu has suddenly gone undercover. No one knows where and how he is. Some claim he is under house arrest, while others says he is on the run, underground. Meanwhile, his followers are been maltreated, beaten to pump, made to lie in dirty waters, some to drink from it and other classes of ill-treatments and torture which we must again, speak up against and call evil been done by the men of the Nigerian military.

Kanu caused these problems. The Nigerian security outfit knew that this is how it begins. This was how Niger delta militants began. This was how the killer squad, Boko Haram was founded. It’s from unguarded speeches, very hateful ones, to drawing huge followership brought about by sentiments of majorly brainwashed illiterates, and where the nation’s security continues to neglect them, then comes a terrorist gang. There is nothing brainwashing hasn’t done and cannot do.

For Mr. Kanu to have left behind within the prison walls some of those who stood strongly by him and fought with him shows the character he is made of. Mandela turned down in more than three occasions, an option to be released without his team from the prison. Kanu sorted for medical attention and under stringent agreement terms and conditions which were miraculously met, to have suddenly turnaround to continue, in total disregard for the court directives and bond which were signed on his behalf by different people, is an insult on an independent nation. The Nigerian Government had been more than gracious to him, they should have long rearrested him for beating his bail condition, but they let him be. The fire burning was lighted up by him.

That Kanu has dual citizenship means a lot. That his family is based abroad matters too. That some wealthy Igbo sons and daughters gift him money as donations for his push reads a lot too. And that just like Ojukwu during the Biafran conflict, none, not even one of Kanu’s close allies, family or friends have died thus far from the stray bullets of trigger happy Nigerian military or police, but mainly helpless, lowly, poor and misguided few means more than a lot.

Today, he may have more followership than Ojukwu and Uwazuluike combined isn’t in doubt, and that he is taken like a god, especially where he even introduced Judaism which in all honesty is to serve his myopic and sentimentally driven argument of the Igbos history which has less or nothing to add up to the debate is worrisome.

He who does not know where rain began beating him, will definitely not know where or when it dries up on him. We have failed to learn from history aloud and that’s why the drums of war continue to sound and genocide maybe in the offing. The acts of 1966 to 1970 pogrom is not worth repeating ever again, not here and definitely not anywhere else. Persons who have seen war never pray for a repeat, those who saw Nigerian/Biafran conflict will always conclude, “agha-ajoka”. My father would conclude, “it’s not even what you wish your enemies”.

No doubt, ndi-Igbo aren’t been treated fairly within the entity, Nigeria, but even so, not all rights are gotten by war, struggles and fight. If it did come, how prepared are we? How many Igbos have as little as den gun? Or are we gonna fight with matchets, bows, arrows, sticks and bare hands? We have no fire and gun power capacity or capability. The Nigerian army has more than enough. We must be smart enough to known when to start and when exactly to stop. Kanu pushed his luck too far and the Nigerian military having been fed up with him chose to step in before it turns into a full blown land of lawlessness where anything goes.

Again, no human-being should be put through the torture young Igbos I saw on clips are subjected to on the streets of Umuahia and Aba road. No human should go through those. It’s abuse of their rights as humans and it’s evil even before God. The Nigerian military must be disciplined and civil enough in dealing with this problem, Igbo lives matter. We are not in war time yet, they are only to come and foster peace and stop further breakdown of law and order, not to cause harm and fear amongst the people.

Ndi-Igbo are peace loving people, they obey the rule of law, they are hardworking people and they are literate and vast in many fronts.

No doubt, no nation state would tolerate the continual misdirection of the IPOB leader where he went as far as to institute what he called the Biafran Secret Service within a democratic entity, who does that? No serious-minded leader would condone that. Worse still, definitely not under the watch of a retired military General.

Next week, the world will gather in New York, United States for the usual UN General Assembly meeting. World leaders are expected to attend and the Nigerian President would be there too. Ndi-Igbo should buy into the opportunity, send representatives and make your voices heard. This is our time to shine, the United Nations is the right way to go, not street protests where our beloved ones are continually killed and the sponsors run undercover.

At the bleak of war, when it was about consuming the rest of us all back in 1970, Ojukwu ran away, flying through the Uli airstrip to Ivory Coast to seek asylum. Nnamdi Kanu is only human with no messiac power, since he is not god, even before the actual war comes, he may depart from us all.

It is good to fight for causes you believe in, but it’s more intelligent to live a coward, inorder to fight another day than to fight a hero to die wastefully. Those who die in war receive gun salute, while those who survive war receive Medal of Honor, where even medals handed down for those who died means absolutely less or nothing.

Those who fight and survive in war, tell the tales of war, while they who die in war times are used as tales of that war. Igbo parents should immediately call their children to order, let them stay alive and out of trouble. No one, not even the revered Nelson Mandela may be mourned for a lifetime, we must learn to live together as brothers or die wastefully as fools. Nigeria isn’t working no doubt, it’s either we fix it or simply breakaway peacefully, still boils down to the United Nations, not war!

Therefore, while we strongly condemn the militarization of the South East and the intimidation and show of craze and force that has followed, we must also speak truth to power and lay facts bare, Nnamdi Kanu is also guilty. Many writers and commentators have failed to establish this fact, maybe for fear of intimidation, harassment or usual insults by Biafran apologists. Also, not all Igbos want to be Biafrans. Kanu was and is guilty from a constructive, descent and unbiased point of view. These facts needs to be established.

We want Biafra, but please not through any sort of bloodshed. The struggle isn’t worth any bloodshed. We must seek and push for it through the right channels, the UN remains our best bet.

We must inform the litanies of those who have been brainwashed and misled. Igbo lives matter!

6-Year-Old Pupil Allegedly Commits Suicide In South Africa (Photos)

6 year old pupil commits suicide

A 6-year-old Grade 1 learner at Dorothy Langa Primary School, Mohau Mamaregane, has been found hanging from a noose on a recycling bag.

He reportedly committed suicide at school in Seshego outside Polokwane, South Africa on Tuesday.

The pupil had asked to go the toilet. When he did not return to class, another pupil was sent to look for him.

The school alleged that the fellow pupil found him with his head inside a recycling bin and he was immediately rushed to a local clinic where he was certified dead.

The family is seeking answers after mysterious marks were discovered on his neck.

The boy’s mother, Rosina Mamaregane, told Sowetan that her son “had bruises on his neck which indicated that a rope had been used to strangle him”.

The distraught mother added that he also had a swollen cheek and bubbles were coming out of his mouth. He had also vomited,

she said:

“I want answers to what caused my son’s death,”

With tears rolling down the 34-year-old mother’s face, she said she had received a call from the school principal summoning her to the local clinic where he had taken her son.

She said:

“There is a first-aid kit at every school. Why they did not use it on him while summoning paramedics?” she asked.
“The principal told me to accept what the nurses told me. I smell a rat.”
“As a family we believe he was strangled and suffocated inside a recycling bin on the school premises, as evidenced by footprints we found next to where his body was found,”
“I guess there is more to this than meets the eye. The truth must come out,”

Her sister, Lekwetse Nchabeleng, said they were still traumatized by the incident.

“I raised the boy as my own. It is impossible that he could have committed suicide,” said Nchabeleng, who was supported by her 75-year-old grandfather, Bernard Mamabolo who urged police to investigate the matter.

Lieutenant-Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the circumstances behind the incident were unknown and that investigations would reveal the cause of death.

“We advise members of the community, including teachers, to put the safety of children first on the basis that their movements and whereabouts must be monitored at all times to prevent these type of incidents,” Ngoepe said.

Provincial education department spokesman, Naledzani Rasila, said they were working with police and the family to uncover the truth.

He said they had also provided counselling to pupils and teachers at the school.

$6k Salary Drama: Mr Eazi’s Linkedin Profile Says He Was Just An Intern At Schlumberger (Photos)

A LinkedIn profile, recently unearthed by nosy fans, alleges that Mr Eazi, who has been trending on Social media lately, all thanks to his bold utterances which folks find unpalatable, was an intern at Schlumberger Oil Services company in Port Harcourt, before he relocated to Ghana.

Recall, the singer, yesterday, on Beat FM radio show, spoke about his early steps, how he quit his job for his musical career, and also how his family reacted the first time they learned of his passion for music.

Here’s what he said:

“After I came back from Ghana, I got a job in oil and gas in Port Harcourt that paid about six thousand dollars per month but I quit because I was not finding fulfillment in it. I mean it was the same thing everyday, the same routine over and over again. The decision to quit the job finally hit me when my boss’ wife left him even with all the money he had.
After I left my job, I got my Masters degree and with all that qualification I started selling phones in computer village and everyone thought something was wrong with me. Even my mother started praying special prayers for me but my father didn’t add that final voice that would have decided my fate. My break finally came after I got an invite to do two shows in London that made me twelve thousand pounds which I used to shoot two videos.
When I told my mother what I did with the money she stopped talking to me for about three weeks. I had to move in with a friend because even my relatives didn’t want me around but everything finally changed when I went back to London for shows that fetched me really good money.”

Many people didn’t believe the story, and a few challenged him to share proof of the claim which the singer responded posting this throwback photo, with the accompanying caption that says:

These guys don’t seem to have any care in this world at all – the friend of that guy who was bonking his girl behind a wrapper is seen in another photo getting a BJ.

This new photo shows another girl posing like she was giving a man a blowjob! With this we’re left to wonder if the lady who said it was a set up was telling the truth.

There doesn’t seem to be any form of force here though… they look like they’re doing this at their freewill.

Abia state governor appeals to the Nigerian army to reduce its presence in Aba and Umuahia

Following the recent faceoff between some soldiers and IPOB members in Aba and Umuahia on Tuesday, September 12th, the Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has appealed to the Nigerian Army to reduce the presence of its officers in those parts of the state.

On Tuesday, some military officers had a clash with IPOB members when they tried to access a road close to the leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu’s home in Umuahia.

Abia state governor appeals

IPOB members who were on their way from Aba to Umuahia to protect their leader had a faceoff with the soldiers, leading to the death of 7 of their members.

Governor Okezie last night, had a meeting with Traditional rulers and the General Officer Commanding (GOC) commanding the 82 Division of the Nigeria Army Enugu, Major General A.B. Abubakar, at Government House Umuahia.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Enyinnaya Appolos, the following are the highlights of the meeting:

1. The Governor and the Traditional Rulers appealed to the GOC to reduce military presence in the state, particularly at Aba and umuahia, as tension in the areas have gone down.

2. That the Nigerian Police and other security agencies should ensure that those who are brought into Abia from other states, in order to cause trouble and engage in acts capable of causing breach of law and order, should be prevented from entering the state.

3. That Traditional Rulers should further liaise with HRH Eze I.O Kanu (father of Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB) to further explore ways of restoring peace and normalcy.

4. That Abians and those who do business in the state should go about their normal businesses without fear of molestation, while desisting from acts capable of causing the breach of peace in the state.

Fake herbalist and his gang dupe man of N25 million.. The man was searching for cure for his headache

A businessman, Oladimeji Isiaka, has gone bankrupt after losing about N25m to suspected fraudsters who defrauded him under the pretext of curing his headache, Punch Nigeria reports.

Isiaka, who lived in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State, sold his house and five cars to raise the money. However, after realising that he had been defrauded, he reportedly petitioned the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State.

Investigations by operatives of the command led to the arrest of five members of the syndicate at their base in Ibadan, Oyo State. They are Alasela Ottun; Yetunde Mustapha, aka Iya Aje Funfun; Ibrahim Jimoh, aka Olobe Aye; Akeem Alabi and Oyegbile Lateef.

A police source said Isiaka was an in-law of Ottun and had sought his counsel sometime in October 2016 when he had the headache, which defied medications.

Ottun, from Iwo, Osun State, after defrauding Isiaka of a few millions of naira, passed him to Mustapha, who pretended to be a white witch with answers to all his problems.

Mustapha, 32, was said to have colluded with her boyfriend, Jimoh, who arranged a scheme through which millions of naira were collected from the victim. Mustapaha said she pretended to be a white witch whenever she spoke with Isiaka, adding that she wore white costume at Ottun’s shrine.

The chief herbalist, Alabi, 39, said: “It is whatever the people seek that we use to defraud them. Some talk about business boom, some about making money or moving to a higher level in life. We make some fake concoctions and collect their money.”

Lateef explained that Isiaka had been cured of the headache, but he craved wealth, adding that it was his greed that the gang exploited. He explained that Isiaka was shown a sack filled with fake dollars, adding that he was asked to bring N8m for the preparation of rituals that would enable him to spend the money.

He said, “Whoever is looking for cheap things will run into heavy losses. He thought we cured him of his headache, not knowing it was God. We just took advantage of that to defraud him.”

“Haaaa haaaa. From oil company to computer village. E come sell iPhone get ticket go U.K. do show hmmmm. Where did wiz get him from again?” Said one upset folk, and another added, “I think It’s $6000 per annum he meant??…let us forgive him as we forgave Lai and his jollof saga with Richard Quest Biko. But the problem is Mr Eazi won’t keep quiet, he will soon go and say another one over the weekend!”

Now, to prove that he indeed left a N2million per job, he shared a throwback picture of himself in an “Engineer regalia” and wrote:

“It will be a little unfair if I win AGT” — Burn Survivor, Kechi Okwuchi

Kechi Okwuchi of America’s Got Talent is super grateful to her fans for how much they have supported her all through her journey at the 12th season of the talent show, however, she wishes she would win based on her talent.

The 27-year-old during an interactive session with her followers on Instagram yesterday said she would love to win but feels it would be a little bit unfair if she did.

She said:

“It would be amazing to make it to top 10 but honestly if I make it that far, I think that is probably where I might stop just because I feel there are some people there who are good. There are a lot of singers and a lot of us know how to sing. I am so grateful to get this far but I feel like if I win it might be a little unfair because I don’t want people to vote for me based on my story and how much they like me and feel they are inspired by me. The main part of the show is the talent part and there are such amazing people that have amazing talents and I feel some of them may be more deserving. So, then again you never know, God’s plans are not our plans and he can see further than we can so I don’t want to go and say something that might counter what he has planned. Lets just say what will happen will happen. Let it just be what God wants”

Kechi also relieved her memory about the air crash that changed her life forever.

She said:

“I remember bits and pieces. I don’t remember the impact of the plane because that must have been when I blanked out or something. I remember being on the plane and feeling like everything was fine and I was with my friend who lived next door to me. I remember when the pilot made the announcement that we would be landing like 20 minutes at the airport that we would be heading to. I remember when the plane started really getting crazy and the turbulence started getting like way too much. I remember feeling this out of body experience. It looked like a movie. I remember holding my friend’s hands and she was asking what we should do like should we pray or something. Then there was this loud weird metal sound and I woke up in the hospital five weeks later in South Africa. There were 109 passengers on the plane and 60 of them were fellow students from my school. I was in a boarding school. Two people survived. Myself and the other lady that I did not know before the plane crash”

In now what is a twist of events, Ying6ix has admitted in an interview with HipTV that he reacted without seeing the video about the joke.

His words:

At first when everybody started….I didn’t get to see the full joke. But when I got to see it, I realized it was a joke. Its all entertainment. So no feelings/emotions attached. I knew it was a joke. We all made fun about it and all took advantage of the fact that I was trending and I had a new video out there. I don’t see anything coming between me and him or whatever.

He is my Delta brother and I respect him and his talent, but I wouldn’t even joke or make jokes about anything that would make people feel indifferent about their success. People make mistakes, people say jokes and like they always say, the joke is always funny until it’s about you. I felt that way

mr eazi quit 6000 per month job

The 26-year-old ‘Leg Over’ crooner disclosed that after he left his job, he got a Masters degree and with all that qualification, he started selling phones in computer village and everyone thought something was wrong with him.
