Some disgruntled fans of the Chipolopolo of Zambia have called on the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to order a replay of the match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria which they lost 1-0 on Saturday.

Obinna Ugwuoke, from Enugu state went temporarily insane after he descovered that his wife gave birth to conjoined twin babies fused at the stomach. National Helm reports.
According to multiple reports, the conjoined babies were given birth to at the First Covenant Hospital in Satellite Town, Lagos, on the 8th of May 2017.
The happily married couple with two children – were shocked on seeing their new babies after the delivery. The twin babies (two boys) have been named James and John.
The financially restrained parents are still in the hospital waiting to carry out a separation surgery on the babies.

The Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy has revealed that alcohol was a substantial factor in the death of a 35-year-old Tagbo Umeike, the friend of Davido who died on his birthday.
The result also showed that he had alcohol and drugs in his system capable of easing a person into the early stages of hypothermia and eventual death.
The toxicology tests detected alcohol (Bacardi 151, 75.5% Alcohol) and topiramate, a medication for epilepsy and/or migraines in a man’s system, in Tagbo Umeike.’
Tagbo’s blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) was at 0.112, higher than the 0.08 legal limit for normal human being state, the coroner’s office stated.
While his family claims that Tagbo “didn’t have a prescription for any type of topiramate medication”, the coroner’s office stated that the amount of drug in Tagbos’ system was in the “therapeutic range.”
A statement by the coroner’s office said, “Alcohol and topiramate are synergistic. When combined, the effect of either or both drugs is enhanced.”
“Topiramate, like alcohol, can cause dizziness, impaired memory, impaired concentration, poor coordination, confusion and impaired judgment.
“Central nervous system depression, or impairment, combined with cold exposure can hasten the onset of hypothermia and death.”

The circumstances Kenneka Jenkins’ death sparked controversy nationwide. Her body was discovered in a basement walk-in freezer early last month at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. The discovery of her body was made a full 24 hours after she was last seen at a party on the 9th floor of the hotel.

Yesterday, Sunday 8th of October, a very terrible accident happened at tafa Kagarko Local Government Area, along Kaduna-Abuja highway.
According to reports we gathered, a petrol tanker on the highway, apparently, lost control and went up in flames after it tried to avoid a head-to-head collision with a golf car.
The tanker, then skidded off the highway and burst into flames. Scores were killed, and about 15 persons were injured in the accident.
17 houses, were also said to have being destroyed in the inferno.
Governor of the state, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, visited the scene yesterday evening and then sympathized with the people of Tafa and expressed sadness over the lives lost.
The Governor also inspected the new Trailer Park under construction in the area.

They were told to provide a means of identification for the person, which they went back to the vehicle to produce. The identification produced was that of Tagbo Umeike. During the period, a nurse went with the boys to the car to get Tagbo. __ On getting to the vehicle where he was laid on the back seat, the nurse suspected he was already dead and called for a doctor who confirmed this. Following the declaration, the two men were obviously distraught. In a bid to get contact details from the men, they made excuses and disappeared. __ It is unclear who Tagbo eventually left the lounge with. It is unclear who these men who dropped Tagbo at the hospital are.
It is yet to be determined what happened between the hours of 12:28a.m when they left Shisha Lounge and 5:40a.m on the 3rd of October, 2017 when they brought him in his car to the hospital.
The IGP and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police are fully involved in the case. Davido and some other men including Asa have been interrogated by the Police. An autopsy has been scheduled for the 9th of October, 2017 while investigations are still on-going but the question remains:

Kidnap suspect Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, known well as Evans, reportedly plotted his escape from police custody before his arraignment in court, it’s been gathered newly.
According to The Nation, police detectives, especially those in the Intelligence Unit, aborted his plot. The Nigerian Prison Service (NPS) has formed a heavy security ring around the suspect.
After months of hide and seek, the police arrested ‘Evans’ on June 10 at No. 3, Fred Shoboyede, Magodo, Lagos. He is standing trial before an Ikeja High Court for alleged conspiracy and kidnapping alongside five others.
The other accused persons are Uche Amadi, Ogechi Uchechukwu, Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu, Chilaka Ifeanyi and Victor Aduba.
All the suspects were on August 29 remanded in Kirikiri Maximum Security Prisons.
Unknown to many Nigerians, the kidnapping kingpin had allegedly tried to escape from his cell in Abuja after he was transferred from Lagos.
A source spoke of Evans’ plan to give between $50,000 and $100,000 to one of the guards manning his cell to facilitate his escape.
The source said Evans was allegedly coordinating his escape bid with some members of his gang by telephone which he obtained through “suspicious” means.
It was learnt that intelligence officers and IGP’s Special Tactical Squad detected his plot. The source said:
“When Evans was in our custody, he tried to escape but we were able to abort all his plans. We discovered that he had access to phones which were hidden in the middle of loaves of bread, eba, semovita and so on.
“He was making calls from these smuggled phones in the middle of the night, making arrangements with some yet to be identified members of his gang to arrange for his escape.
“We intercepted how he was luring one of the guards with about $50,000 to $100,000. He wanted an insider to serve as informant to him and members of his gang.”

The Nigerian Federal Government has described as fake and sinister the report that the outbreak of Monkey Pox in some parts of the country resulted from the alleged free medical care by the government in the affected areas.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said Nigerians should disregard the report which, apparently, is being spread by some unscrupulous persons to fit into a sinister agenda.
“The Federal Government has not conducted any free medical service or care in either Bayelsa or Rivers state, as alleged in the fake report being circulated. So that could not have been the cause of the outbreak of Monkey Pox in both states. Monkey Pox is a virus found only in monkeys and it is rare in human beings. It belongs to the same family as Chicken Pox and Smallpox. It is suspected that someone may have contacted it by eating monkey meat, thus triggering the current outbreak,” the Minister said.
He assured that no effort will be spared in curtailing the spread of the disease. The new viral disease broke out in Bayelsa last week and has now spread to Rivers and Akwa Ibom.

A Facebook user with the name, Daniel Igoche, has raised an alarm after meeting a little girl with the symptom of the dreaded Monkey pox virus in Kaduna state.
Daniel says the little girl has only been treated with traditional roots and herbs due to financial constraint – He calls on the Kaduna state authorities to look into the matter before it gets out of hand.
So far, a total of twelves persons have been reportedly quarantined in Bayelsa state after the first case of suspected monkeypox infection was reported some days back. The virus later spread to the neighbouring state of Rivers.
Nigerians are required to always wash their hands, avoid monkeys, bush meats, and dead animals as well as be on the lookout for symptoms which often manifests as various stages of rash and an intense weakness of the body, severe pains, among other things.
Samples from suspected victims in Bayelsa and Rivers have been sent to the World Health Organisation, WHO, laboratory in Dakar, Senegal for confirmation.

Three self acclaimed Islamic clerics have been arrested by Ogun State Police Command over alleged rituals and murder.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, who paraded the suspects on Sunday at the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, headquarters in Abeokuta said they were arrested on October 5.
He gave the identities of the trio as Adebayo Mudashiru (36), Raheed Abass (33) and Rasaq Adenekan (42), adding that they were caught with fresh and dried human parts, human skull, reptiles and assorted charms.
Mr. Ilyasu disclosed that on interrogation the suspects were discovered to be serial killers, with their operational office located at number 6 Baase compound, Totoro, Abeokuta.
The three suspects while speaking with PREMIUM TIMES claimed to be ‘alfas’ – Islamic scholars. They said they engaged in the rituals to help solve their clients’ problems.
The police also paraded two suspects who are said to specialise in stealing Automated Machine, ATM, cards. They were arrested after their operation in Mowe town of the state.
The suspects, Michael Uko and Tope Adegoke, were arrested after robbing a victim, Aina Olufemi, the police said.
“They successfully robbed their victim, inflicted cutlass injuries on him, tied him down and went away with his ATM card after forcing him to give them his pin number,” the commissioner said.
He added the bandits later took the ATM card to the bank and withdrew N100,000 cash from the victim’s account.
“The Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, operatives swung into action and through diligent investigation, two members of the syndicate were arrested on the 5th of October, 2017,” Mr. Ilyasu said.

A few days after the monkeypox disease was recorded in Bayelsa, it has spread to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, causing panic in neighbouring states in the south-south and south-east regions.
Charles Udoh, Akwa Ibom state commissioner for information and strategy, on Saturday confirmed that one case has been recorded in the state, while two other suspected cases are under investigation.
Udoh said the disease, which has no known treatment or vaccine, exhibits similar symptoms to smallpox, but is milder and with larger rashes.
“Monkeypox currently has no treatment and no vaccine. It looks like Smallpox but the rashes are larger while the disease is milder,” adding that “we will provide more information in subsequent releases”.
Meanwhile, Dominic Ukpong, the state commissioner for health has advised residents to cultivate the habit of washing their hands regularly.
He also warned them to avoid excessive handshakes and to abstain from eating bush meat.
“The era of avoiding excessive handshake and body contact is here again. We should at the moment re-awaken the continued emphasis on regular hand washing and avoiding the consumption of bush meat at the moment,” Ukpong said.
Chike Princewil, Rivers state commissioner for health, also confirmed that three persons have been infected with the disease in different parts of Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Princewill said the cases were discovered on Thursday night at Rumoulumeni, Eneka, and psychiatric road areas of the state.
He however said there was no cause for alarm as their medical team was on top of the situation.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had earlier urged Nigerians to remain calm as working to control the outbreak of the disease.
