Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Steve Ayorinde, ​has advised fathers ​to allow their babies ​enjoy the period of breastfeeding.

​He said this in a message to ​a Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign organised by ​the Lagos ​c​hapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ)​/​

The commissioner, represented by Mrs Toro Oladapo, a former NAWOJ President and Director, Public Affairs, Lagos Ministry of Information, ​said fathers should stop competing for breasts with their babies.

He ​stated that ​rather, men should ​encourage the​ir wives to engage in exclusive breastfeeding which is vital during the first six months of life.

“Nothing is natural like breast milk,” he said, noting that human milk is better for babies than animal milk.

“Thank you so much for promoting the essence of womanhood​.​

“The media should help ensure mothers are breastfeeding to raise a healthy nation.

“You will all agree with me that children that are breastfed distinguish themselves academically,’’ he said.

The commissioner said that women, in the past, used breastfeeding for child-spacing and family planning, urging NAWOJ to spread the awareness.

A Nigerian soldier identified as Ojikutu Ridwanullahi – has urged fellow countrymen to have respect for soldiers and stop seeing them as the enemies.

The young man who relayed his message via Facebook saying that the risks the gallant men (soldiers) take for country should reciprocated with respect and not condemnation. Read his message below;

President Muhammad Buhari may resign if he does not recover from his ailment soon, sources have reported.

According to Independent, a Presidency source has disclosed that President Muhammad Buhari will pass the baton to his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo, if he does not recover from his ailment soon.

The President has been in the United Kingdom for the better part of the year treating an undisclosed ailment, much to the chagrin of a large part of the population, including a good number of his supporters.

Independent reports the source to have said,

“The president is not desperate to cling on to power if his health cannot carry him. I can tell you authoritatively that he has given a timeline that if he doesn’t recover fully on a specific date, he will file in his resignation letter and if you know President Buhari very well, he meant what he said.

“That is why Nigerians who love the president and his efforts in restoring Nigeria’s lost glory should continue to pray for his quick recovery. It will be to our disservice if he dies as some people are wishing him”, he said.

Independent also reported another source as stating that before the President embarked on his May trip to the United Kingdom, he had wanted to dispatch a resignation letter to the National Assembly but a retired general from Taraba state prevailed on him not to do so.

Chief Ebenezer Babatope, former Minister of Transport and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said there was no need for the President to resign as the leading opposition party will prefer if APC brings him to re-contest election in 2019, so as to guarantee their victory at the polls.

“I don’t think we should compound Nigeria’s problem by asking for the president’s resignation. First of all, it is not of his own making that he is sick. All of us must have been sick at one time or the other. If we want to help Nigeria succeed, let us pray for him to recover and come back to do his job.

“We in the PDP are not bothered by his resignation at all. We are even praying that he should come back and re-contest in 2019 because we know that we are going to beat him. But it doesn’t serve anybody’s interest to ask him to resign. Those doing so are just wasting their time”, he said to Independent.

On arrival on Monday they saw the safe out side broken nd the office open nd the security guard no where to be found. The owner of the beer depot has put my sister in cell since last week.

My widow mom has been crying since going up nd down for help. We are poor to meet the lawyers fees cause my mom sell tomatoes nd things has been so hard for us to feed. To top it all my mom brother had leg poison so he came to stay with us cause there is a place in badagry where they treat things like that.

Viewers tuning into the BBC’s News at Ten got an eyeful when a woman exposed her naked breasts on a computer screen – just yards behind presenter Sophie Raworth.

A BBC worker, who was wearing headphones and slumped in his chair, was spotted watching the woman remove her bra in the raunchy movie scene.

Ms Raworth, 49, was presenting a live piece on the England cricket team’s victory over South Africa, but eagle-eyed viewers noticed the screen over her shoulder.

Around 3.8million viewers watched the show and one person tweeted: ‘@BBCNews why is there a porn video playing behind one of your news anchors during a report?’ The actress was wearing a black jumper while standing over a man during the clip which could be seen on Monday evening.

In what is believed to be an action movie, she then removed her bra to reveal her breasts during the striptease. A television source told The Sun: ‘This has gone down like a lead balloon at the BBC.

It is totally unprofessional. ‘It beggars belief a sex scene should be played live on air. The employee is on borrowed time when bosses catch up with him.’ The BBC said it is investigating the incident.

A Nigerian baker has fired back at bloggers who posted photos of a birthday cake she made for her mom who owns a restaurant.

She says the tool you see is something else, a turning stick, used to mix stuff in a big pot, but ordinarily it looks like a manhood ready to be sucked though.. She reposted one of the article and rained curses on them. Her reaction below;

A Kenyan woman has given birth to a baby girl yesterday at a polling station, while she was waiting to cast her vote in Kenya’s election.

Identified as Paulina Chemanang, she was helped to deliver her baby girl by other voters at the Konyaq Secondary School in West Pokot, before she was rushed to a nearby dispensary.

Surprisingly, she returned to vote and was interviewed by Kenya’s Capital FM where she said, ‘having given birth at a polling station is a blessing to me and I thank God’.

She has since named her baby Chepkura. “Kura” means ballot or vote in Swahili.

She gave him a time frame within which to comply with her demand or she will expose his extramarital acts to his wife.

Simon was a successful businessman, married and had five children while Linda had three children from an undisclosed husband but resided alone in Egbeda area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Simon who resided around Council Bus Stop at Idimu met Linda at Area M Police Command in Idimu and they started dating.

It was reported that they had met severally at the hotel for sex before she decided to blackmail him demanding for the money and marriage.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that in order to keep his marriage, Simon paid her the N1.2m but Linda was not satisfied with that. She insisted that the money was for her sex services, and so he needed to fulfill the second aspect of her demand.

When the man asked what she needed, she replied that he must marry her as his second wife because he was financially capable to marry two wives and equally train her children.

This became an issue and unbearable for Simon as he felt she was out to blackmail him.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Simon humbly called his wife and confessed what happened, and how he was being trapped by Linda.

The wife reportedly forgave him, contacted Linda and told her that she has been informed about what transpired between them and her demands.

The wife then told Linda that since she claimed she was in love with her husband to the extent that she wanted to come in as a second wife, that she will come to her house to carry all her load so that she can join the family without wasting much time.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that Simon’s wife drove to Linda’s house to bring her home but she refused saying she was no longer interested in the marrying Simon.

The wife insisted that she must come and join them otherwise she will have to refund the money she obtained from her husband for sex services because as his wife she had not collected such money from him for sex.

It was learnt that the matter has been reported to the Police at Idimu and Linda was said to have gone into hiding to evade arrest for the alleged fraud.
