After experiencing the heartbreak of a miscarriage last year, 34-year-old transgender man, who was born a girl, Trystan Reese and his husband, Biff Chaplow finally welcomes their first biological child, a bouncing baby boy, Leo.

The Portland couple shared their elation over the news with several news outlets, with Trystan telling WGN9 he was ‘overjoyed’ and ‘elated’.

In an interview with Fox19, Biff said:

‘The moment he was born was just like a pure moment of bliss, like the happiest moment of my life,’

‘Just to see the very beginning of Leo, of his life, was just amazing.’

Leo already has two older siblings, a brother and sister, whom Trystan and Reese adopted after Biff’s sister was found unfit to be their guardian — but when they first got together, it didn’t occur to them they’d have biological children.

‘I thought I was giving up having a family — I didn’t even think of it as an option,’ Trystan told Buzzfeed.

‘I didn’t ever dream of having, or wanting to have, a biological child. One, I didn’t think it would be possible, and two, it took a long time for me to be strong enough in my identity as a man to be able to do that.’

In fact, when Trystan first brought it up with his husband, Biff said no — and took some time to come around to the idea.

Now, though, they are thrilled with the decision.

The boy looks healthy now, and even happier. The wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, took up sponsorship of the 9-year-old, and he looks so good 1 year after.

Two Ghanaian nurses identified only as Tracy Ewurama Marcel and Ramatu have lost their jobs for ignoring patients to go live on Facebook while at work.

The viral video of nurses on Facebook live was shared by Ghanaian news publication, Adom FM, on their Facebook page.

Reacting to the viral video, the management of the Royal MMR Hospital, where the two nurses worked, said they were shocked and appalled by the fact the two nurses “choose to do Facebook Live while at work and responded to comments at the expense of patients waiting to seek health care”.

A doctor with the hospital, Dr. Mohammed Donkor, however, confirmed to Adom News that the two had been fired by the management of the hospital as their conduct was in breach of company regulations.

Trudy and Ramatu were reportedly employed as health assistants at the health facility and had no knowledge that their conduct was against hospital rules.

An 18-year-old man suspected to be a member of the reprehensible Badoo cult has been caught as he stole into a nursery school in Mushin, Lagos State.

The suspect, Fred Minima, who reportedly had the logo of the cult on his left hand, allegedly entered the premises of the nursery and primary school with the intention to kidnap some pupils.

He was said to have stolen some phones before he proceeded to attract the pupils.

However, eagle-eyed security guard caught him and handed him over to the police.

He was charged before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on Monday, for allegedly belonging to a forbidden cult group, Badoo.

Minima, who resides at Akala area of Mushin, is facing three counts of attempted kidnap, belonging to an unlawful society and stealing.

He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all the charges.

But Police Prosecutor, Maria Dauda, insisted that the accused committed the offences on July 26 at 11.10 a.m. at No. 25, Akinola St., Mushin.

The offences contravened sections 21, 42 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Section 287 stipulates three-year jail term for offenders, while kidnapping offences in Lagos State attract a penalty of life imprisonment or capital punishment.

The Magistrate, Mrs. O.O.A. Fowowe-Erusiafe, in her ruling, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000, with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until August 29 for mention. (NAN)

A man convicted of raping and murdering a three-year-old girl was executed in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Monday in front of hundreds of onlookers, witnesses said.

A policeman fired five bullets from an assault rifle into Muhammad al-Maghrabi, 41, as he lay with his hands handcuffed behind his back on a blanket on the ground in Sanaa’s Tahrir Square, after a judge read out the death sentence.

The execution drew an unusually large number of onlookers, some perched up telegraph poles and many watching from rooftops, because of the young age of the victim.

Security was tight amid fears of a revenge attack on Mr. Maghrabi by armed tribesmen related to his victim.

The police truck transporting Mr. Maghrabi to the square was escorted by five police patrol vehicles.

Yahya al-Matari, the father of the girl, told reporters after the execution that he felt as if he had been reborn.

“This is the first day in my life,” he said. “I am relieved now.”

A TwitterNG user @DrDamages had on July 21 shared a photo of the girl named Cynthia Chinecherem, and another of her result, with the caption:

She made A1 in all the 9 subjects she took in WASCE. Please tell Gov. Ugwuanyi of Enugu state to send her to a very good university.

On July 23, it caught the attention of another user @Chydee who said he wished to give to the girl N20k.

He proceeded to ask his followers to to get in touch with him if they wished to donate to the girl’s cause.

As at Monday morning, 31 TwitterNG had pledged the sum of N525,500, while 23 had made good on their pledge, bringing the total remitted sum to a total of N425,500.

A Rivers State High Court, has sentenced to death three persons in connection to the lynching of 4 students in Aluu Community in 2012.

The Court presided over by Justice Nyordee has also discharged and acquitted the remaining 4, TVC reports.

According to the Judge, the prosecution failed to prove it’s case of murder against the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th accused persons beyond every reasonable doubt.

He however found the 1st to 3rd defendants guilty of murder.

The police in Dome-Kwabenya, a suburb of Accra have arrested some four persons in connection with the killing of a popular slay queen, Lydia Ama Serwaa better known as DC Queen.

According to the police the four, all suspected to be fraud boys are James Opoku, Yussif Ahmed, Akwasi Adae as well as Muhammed Abdul-Sadeek who are currently in police custody assisting investigations.

Media reports say, the young lady’s lifeless body was discovered last Wednesday at a popular Pub within Kwabenya area with some parts of her body mutilated DC Queen was widely known as a ‘party girl’ who gained some level of attention by snaps as well as posting some Facebook photos of herself at several parties.

Some unconfirmed reports also indicates that, Serwaa was also into the habit of hanging out loosely with suspected fraud boys popularly known as Sakawa, at various parties including pubs in and around Accra.

A very close friend of DC Queen, who first confirmed her death to the media insisted that, she feels very sad for her friend, since the murderers made away with some vital parts of her body including her tongue.
