The Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Umar Garba Dambatta made this known while speaking with the journalists.
This planned development is in response to the growing usage of data plans by Nigerian consumers.
Dambatta said:
“We have noticed that the level of data usage is growing. This attests to the earlier assertion by the NCC that data is going to be the next frontier.
“You recall that NCC attempted to do the interim price floor for data in order to ensure that we do not have a price war in the data sub-segment of the industry.
“This of course met with resistance from the consumers; and because the NCC is a listening agency, we suspended the interim price floor.
“As I am talking to you, there is a cost-based study going on in order to arrive at an accepted, affordable data price floor which will come into force as soon as the consultants’ work is concluded.
“That is, as soon as the outcome of this consultancy that is on-going over data price is discussed,.as usual, and is further consulted upon with other stakeholders who we expect will provide useful information towards arriving at an acceptable price floor for data.”
The Vice-Chairman also mentioned the intention of the commission to avail palliatives for smaller operators in the telecommunication industry.
“We are also looking at other temporary measures in other to ensure that data services improve.
“We are thinking about providing palliatives to smaller operators in the industry. I mean those with about 7.5 percent share of the market.
“We are in discussion with them in order to see how we can help them to provide data services in different part of the country even as we are talking with bigger operators to ensure that we find a way to improve the quality of data services”, he noted.

One of the young and talented comedians trending in the social media is Osundare Damilare Simeon popularly known with the stage name “AsiriComedy”.
In an exclusive online interview with The Nations, AsiriComedy shared his experiences as he gradually comes to the limelight in Nigeria and even beyond.
AsiriComedy narrated the background story of how he started his comedy in secondary school before he later picked up a career in it around 2010.
He said:
“Comedy for me started as interaction among my peers. Friends naturally gather round me because I was very lively and I throw funny jabs too. Later when I gained admission into the university I joined a drama group where I get to act the funny roles.”
Ever since he got a niche in comedy, AsiriComedy noted that “depth, intelligence spontaneity and observational strengths as well as creativity” has always been his unique selling point that gets his people craving for more.”
As much as AsiriComedy is often featuring alongside his friend and colleague in industry, Arole, on many Instagram comedy skits, Asiri however clarified that both are not perfectly the same as they both have peculiarities. He however he cleared that while it may seems like some see one of them shining than the other, the duo do not see it as such.
Asiri commented that there is no such thing as competition between both.
AsiriComedy with WoliArole
“It’s not a game of superiority. We are two individuals with diverse strengths. Our duo is a fusion of individual strengths that is why as individuals we still function in our respective capacity. We have been doing active stand up as individuals before the duo came to play. Even in the midst of the duo our individuality is still pronounced.
Arole has paid his price and he has given to the industry. He deserves every bit of achievement he is getting now. It is not a competition between us. It is Friendship. We have our respective niche and audiences and it depends on what you mean by the big stages because we have graced the stage of almost all comedy events in Nigeria this year”, he pointed out.

A face in the English Nollywood, Eucharia Anunobi who is also a pastor came out to share her heartfelt comment on Instagram about the Nigerian pastors and General Overseers of ministries who assign their junior pastors to be in-charge of local churches without adequate funds to cater for their up-keeps.
As she frankly condemned such as act she named to be hypocritical of what they profess, she wrote this on Instagram:
You Are Free To Block Me After This Post… This thing of sending an assistant pastor to start a new branch WITHOUT any financial assistance, asking them to go and ‘prove’ their ministry looks like wickedness in religious robe.
Did you consider that those pastors have families who depend on them?
Whose ministry are they even proving? Theirs or yours? Definitely not theirs because this church is your ministry, not theirs? If they were going out to start their own ministry, then we can tell them to go and prove their ministry. Even though we should actually assist them too But this time sir, it is your ministry, your responsibility, your vision and you should also be part of the provision. Let’s be real and truthful to ourselves. Let our conscience judge this thing.
You won’t give them $1 but you will expect tithe from them in a matter of months. Sir, that’s not good nah. Even unbelievers won’t open a branch of their business without equipping the shop for their manager. Religious people will come here to say “The kingdom operates with kingdom principles, don’t bring in corporate principles here”. Religion is insensitive, wicked and dangerous. Yet, religion preaches love. Such hypocrisy.
I am saying this because in my village, there’s a vibrant young pastor who was sent there by a very big ministry headquartered in the city, and he’s in my village to ‘prove his ministry’. He has no place to rest his head with his family and my family back home had to take him in. It hasn’t been easy with him yet the rich G.O of his church wouldn’t assist him financially. He laid hands on him and believes that’s enough to support him in the mission field.
You haven’t yet blocked me? You must be a lover of truth. You will live long.
The actress however advised the Overseers on how best to treat their Assistant pastors having faithfully being under their stewardship. She reiterated on the need to set them on salary scale.
Secondly, when a pastor leaves the service of your church having served for years, please don’t let him go empty handed. The situations surrounding his exit notwithstanding, provided he had once worked for you over the years, he deserves a gratuity/pension.
I have said it several times, assistant pastors should start demanding for a formal employment contract which stipulates the terms and conditions of their employment. This is 21st century.
In reaction to this, several commenters applauded her for hitting the nail on the head with her truth.
Read some of the replies
“God bless you for this post, i just hope u ain’t like that too sha!!!!. lol. A good one u have mentioned, madam! Kudos”
“God bless you ma. some so called religious fanatics will not understand this because they’re are been brain washed by there hype up pastors. but I do.”
“Slap them with the truth n never console them with a lie God bless.”
“Am happy you said it finally, this is why am not a member of any church, because na them fake pass, lie pass hypocrisy, wickedness aka funfojuakpa G.O.”
“If I seat quiet den am made ohhh! Mama dats very true. The exploitation in this Christianity is killx me. Me I tire!”
Eucharia Anunobi is best known for her role in the Nigerian movie Abuja Connection before she became an evangelist.
A 40-year-old man, Femi Adebowale, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for beating his wife, Kuburat, 37, to death. The incident happened on Monday at their residence in Agbado area of the state.
According to a statement on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, on the day of the incident, the deceased had asked her husband for the money she would spend on her younger brother’s naming ceremony.
Femi gave her N10,000 but the deceased insisted that the money was not enough, which led to a fight that resulted in her death, the statement said.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following a complaint from the deceased’s younger brother, Shakiru Alao, who reported at Agbado Division that his elder sister had been beaten to death by the husband over allegation of adultery.
Oyeyemi added, “In the suspect’s statement, he alleged that the deceased had been involving in act of infidelity for quite some time to the extent that she was dating their next door neighbour.
Meanwhile the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered that the case should be transferred to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and possible prosecution of the suspect.
Kemi Olunloyo fat-shamed the Nollywood actress saying:
Meet our cousin Eniola Feedmus. She said she just lost weight after the hot dog diet. #hnndiet??? Eat right Eniola and drink lots of water too. Order your #hnndiet kit today. Stop eating junk food. Only N5000 at hnnafricanews@live.com.#hnnfood
FLASHBACK ON ENIOLA BADMUS’ HEALTH. No such thing as fat shaming when given health advise.
The pretty fat lady in black is definitely #EniolaBadmus‘ relative as seen at her dad’s funeral Fidau. Many of the people attacking my social criticism of her weight will be crying #RIPif she were to die of high blood pressure, diabetes or heart disease. Nigerians need to eat less, work out and maintain a healthy weight and drink 8 glasses of water daily. Fat does not run in any family, it is accumulated from eating too much. #hnnhealth ?
YabaLeftOnline.com investigated possible reasons why Eniola Badmus has not replied Kemi Olunloyo as others like Seyiaw did in the past and we came up with some things.
In the recent post of Eniola Badmus‘ post on Instagram, the actress announced her return to the social media sphere.
Reason 1: The actress might have no energy to drive rift with any person on social media especially with an agile and active commentator like Madam Kemi Olunloyo. She is just recovering from an unknown illness. She earlier posted this week about her health “health is wealth” from the hospital bed.
Reason 2: Eniola Badmus is on with her upcoming movie Ghetto Breed. The actress may be busy with the plans to make it a hit like some of her colleagues did. Lizzy Anjorin with Owo Naira Bet is a typical example.
Reason 3: Eniola Badmus lost her father. in March. She just might not have a mind to absorb negative comments yet from careless speakers and give some more time to mourn and respect the death of the father.
Few Months back, news went viral about a supposed Marriage crash brewing in Actress, Damilola Adegbite’s marriage to her Ghanaian boo, Chris Attoh.
Now, the mother of one, has finally had time to address the rumors that made headlines.
Here’s what she told Punch:
“Part of the price that we pay for being famous is the rumour they peddle against us. Some people believe that they have an opinion about your personal life and anyone can just say anything that they like at any time. I don’t know where the rumour of my marriage crisis emanated from; neither do I know how it started but we don’t pay attention to things like that. We are used to such talks and we have been in this industry for years, so you can throw anything you want at me or talk about my career. I don’t know where that came from but my marriage is fine.
“People react to things differently but I laughed when I saw the news. From my post on Instagram, people could see that I was having a ball with the rumour. I probably had a bowl of popcorn in my hand as I was reading the comments and we laughed about it. You just need to understand that in this industry, the more you look, the less you see. Sometimes, the things you think you know are not true and vice versa. People just need to realise that everybody has their personal lives and we would rather keep it that way.”
The residents of Isheri Oshun in the outskirt of Lagos expressed shocked after the police claimed that the three robbers they arrested escaped in the night by removing the station’s ceiling and roof without any interruption from officers on duty.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the residents claimed that the police officers on duty on that day were either sleeping, drunk or they were not telling the whole truth.P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspected robbers inside their cell were notorious criminals who were eventually arrested through the assistance of the residents.
However, they escaped through the roof in an operation that lasted for several hours. The following morning, the officers discovered that the roof of the cell had been damaged, removed and the suspects had escaped.
The police led by their Divisional Police Officer, one CSP Camelius moved into action and started manhunt for the suspects who were said to be at large.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the police later arrested one Bashiru Rabiu for his alleged involvement in the cell break.
He was charged before Isolo Magistrates court for willful damage and escape from lawful custody under the criminal code.
The suspects denied any involvement and pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr Oje Uagbale asked the court to grant the suspect bail so that he will come to face trial in the interest of justice.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A.O. Ogbe granted Rabiu bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
Twitter User, Adegoke Pamilerin has just pissed off some women on Social Media after he made a statement, urging all women with small boobs not to wear a bra!
“I also wonder why girls with small boobs wear bra, To be sincere, what are you trying to hold? Your lungs or Kidney”
His statement has of course angered some folks and they served him hot. See screenshot of his comment below, followed by some replies he got;
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Gifty has opened up about some details about her past. In this interview with LANRE ODUKOYA of New Telegraph, she speaks about BB Naija, her humble beginnings and how she came to the spotlight.
After these past months, if your mind races back to that time, what kind of feeling do you get?
What crosses my mind anytime I think about that experience is how fun it was, although at a point it was quite challenging. When I actually sat down and reminded myself of who I actually am, I adjusted myself to reality and decided to win every task. It was quite fun. That’s how I would describe Big Brother Naija2.
There were a few beautiful ladies in that house and there were also quite a number of good looking guys. Of all the good looking guys, is there a particular one that you like differently and for a particular reason?
As a matter of fact, I cherished everyone then and I still cherish them. I had and still have no special person that I actually set my mind on. Everyone was so special to me.
You bonded with some people and you did some revealing stuffs with one or two people…
I bonded with everyone, if you actually watched it closely. I related with everyone and I did stuffs with everyone down to ladies and the guys because I saw everyone as family. I said to myself that what I could do in my own house like bonding with family, let me just bond with them too.
Before Big Brother Naija, what were you doing?
I was into the entertainment industry. I was a model and an actress and I’m still a model and an actress.
Could you recall the names of some of the movies that you’ve done that are popular?
I have done a couple of movies. I would say Nkoli Nwa Nsukka season 2. It’s an Igbo film but I acted as a foreigner who came back from the States with her husband who is a rich guy. Then I did Egg of Vulture where I played the lead role. In Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, I played the sub-lead. And in Chocolate Pinging Salon produced by Uche Nancy, I played the sub-lead with Queen Nwokoye. I also played the lead role in Lisa’s Cross. There are quite a lot of them.
How did you get into the movie industry?
It was just by luck. I didn’t go for any audition. I actually told this story to the housemates when I was in the house. I drove out with a car that belonged to a friend of mine. So there was this guy, I didn’t know he was a producer. I was actually on my lane and then, his car dented the vehicle I was driving.
I got down and was trying to tell him that he was wrong. I was trying to stand on my right and he said, ‘I like the way you talk. Are you an actress?’ Then, I retorted, Oga, I’m not an actress. This car is not mine. It’s my friend’s car.
You need to re-paint and all that. He said we’ll see what to do about that and gave me his card and said he is a producer. He said he had produced a lot of movies and “I want you to play the lead role of my movie that I’ll be shooting in a few days.” So, I got interested. I called him and he directed me and I got involved in the movie. I’ve forgotten the name of the movie. That was in 2011 or 2012.
What’s the name of the producer?
I can’t remember. That was the first movie I shot. After that first movie, it took a while to get used to the industry.
What memories do you hold of growing up and having men run after you? What’s the most dramatic experience you’ve had?
After my step father passed away, things were a little bit tough. I’m a strong woman. I remember I asked my aunty for money for school fees and she denied me the money. This was someone who was a multimillionaire. I found it very difficult to forgive her.
I haven’t said this in any interview and I think I feel relieved saying this. So, I told my mum that we were not going to ask anybody for any favour. We were going to do this on our own. When I was schooling at the University of Ghana, Legon, I was working as a receptionist and I was getting a lot of stupid offers to the extent that the CEO of the company wanted to sleep with me but I didn’t allow it.
I actually had to drop the job because I couldn’t give what he asked for. My mum had to go to friends to give them what they sold then she could put her profit on them and that was how things were.
There was a story that you were once married and you quit your marriage. What really happened?
I’ve actually discussed this in so many interviews and I’ll still maintain my ground that I wish not to talk about it because it’s actually a dark part of my life that I wish not to ever visit again.
All what I can say is that I was 19 to 20. I was quite naive. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to do what other girls were doing; get married, flaunt rings and all that. What matters is that I’m a survivor. I’m strong and I’m standing and I have a name.
What are your plans, after Big Brother?
As it stands right now, I’m still in the entertainment industry. I’m still modeling. I’m still acting. And I’m open to bigger endorsements and bigger jobs. Right now, I have intention of doing something for widows because my mum has been my inspiration.
She is my strength. It has not been easy trying to cater for four children. I’m the second child, but first girl child. She has been my strength, so I said one day I would try and start a foundation that has to do with widows. I’d use the platform to tell them that even if their husbands were dead, they could still survive.
Are you currently in a relationship or are you open to a relationship with men who may have sincere intentions?
The thing is that I’m not into any relationship. What I would say is that, right now, I’m focused on business. Whether men come or not, it’s fine by me. What I’m focused on right now is how to build a strong foundation, how to build a strong name for myself and my future kids, my family. Marriage would come but I’m not in a hurry.
What are the qualities you want in a man?
First of all, I want a very God-fearing man, intelligent and brilliant. He has to be handsome, respectful and humble.
What if he’s not rich?
The man needs to be comfortable. That’s a must. It’s a must I marry a man who is capable of taking care of his family. I want a man who can fill that space of a responsible man.

Brian Welch, a friend of deceased Chester Bennington
Mixed reactions have trailed the death of the 41-year old Rock singer, Chester Bennington who committed suicide on July 20.
One of his friends and colleagues, a Korn Guitarist, Brian Welch however blamed the singer for giving up on his life, friends and family, describing his suicidal act as cowardly.
In reaction to the death, Welch took to his Facebook page that same day to mourn him but alongside expressed his grievance over the shocking event.
He said:
“Honestly, Chester’s an old friend who we’ve hung with many times, and I have friends who are extremely close to him, but this is truly p**sing me off! How can these guys send this message to their kids and fans?!
“I’m sick of this suicide s**t! I’ve battled depression/mental illness, and I’m trying to be sympathetic, but it’s hard when you’re p**sed! Enough is enough! Giving up on your kids, fans, and life is the cowardly way out!!! [sic]
“I’m sorry, I know meds and/or alcohol may have been involved, I’m just processing like all of us and I know we are all having some of the same thoughts/feelings.
“Lord, take Chester in your arms and please re-unite him with his family and all of us one day. Be with his wife and kids with your grace during this difficult time.”
Not too long after this, his fans responded angrily to his Facebook post on Bennington’s death tagging it as distasteful and tactless.
Welch had to clear air on the trailing reactions over his mourning about the deceased via Twitter.
He later established he never meant “to sound insensitive about Chester.
“Just dealing with a range of emotions today. Love you Chester”. he noted
Chester is survived by wife Talinda and six children.
A Nigerian lady yesterday became the best graduating student in Engineering from covenant university with first class honours. Nnedimkpa Nnadi Susan graduated from the private University with a 4.93 GPA.
Her excited father, Uche Nnadi took to Facebook to share the news and wrote:
My baby, my queen, my one and only daughter..Nnadi Nnedimkpa Susan..graduates from the topmost private university in Nigeria, Covenant University, Otta, Ogun State, with a 1st Honours Degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering. She also came out the best graduating student in the school of engineering with a GPA of 4.93 out of 5; garnering so many awards along the way.
Susan is very much at home with the very top excellent performance both in character and learning. For instance, she was on top of her class throughout her rather short stint at Ruby Model School, Maiduguri, Borno State; she came out the best graduating student from Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) Nursery and Primary School, Benin City, Edo garnering over 70% of all the awards available that year; At Louisville Girls Secondary School, she was the school Head Girl and came out the best graduating student, with the best result ever since the school was established making Nine straight A1 in each of the subjects she sat for & all Alpha in her IGSE exams. For that feat she won for herself the sum of One Million Naira (#1,000,000) plus numerous non cash awards. She was also the valedictorian for that year!
One can safely say that Nnadi Nnedimkpa Susan is a very special and unique child of God from birth. While other mothers are having a hard time weaning their children off breast suckling, Nnedi weaned herself from suckling at the tender age of 8 months, and also stopped herself from stooling in her diapers at a very, very tender age. It is on record that her mother and I have never had any cause to spank her for once all through her life. And not because she is a girl or because we have become “Americanized” parents who would rather spare the rod and spoil the child. No, not at all! She just never presented any cause for either of us to do so!
Nee, Nee My Daughter (as I fondly call her) your mom and I, your other siblings and, of course, the entire NNADI family with all our friends and well wishers have every cause to roll out the drums and celebrate you today and always. We wish you nothing but the very best in all your future endeavors as go forth into the world with a contributor, instead of a consumer, mentality in a bid to make the world a better place to live in for all humanity. You have done it before; you can do it again, and even much better. This, we pray, you will actualize in impeccable health, sound mind and excellent spirit! Do remain ever richly blessed and favoured! We are proud of you, Nee, Nee my daughter! Daddy.
Nigerian singer – Benjamin Chinedu Ahamefula AKA Xino, a former YBNL artiste, has lambasted his former boss, Olamide, aka ‘Baddoo’, calling him an immature and inexperienced record label CEO who needs to up his ante on the business aspect of music and artiste management.
In an exclusive chat with Showtime, he criticized Olamide for lacking managerial experience, saying, it was one of the reasons he parted ways with YBNL.
Xino Said ;
“YBNL management and other labels in Nigeria need to adopt an entrepreneurial system that focuses on artiste development because there is zero fan base in Nigeria.
Once any new sensation comes out we all switch to that one. Olamide and other CEOs need to grow up business-wise.
Beyonce’s husband, Jayz, is an undisputed boss because he understands this concept and creates acts that last to create others too”
The fearless singer later corrected the impression that his music career is dying because he left the Olamide’s record label, YBNL.
“I’m engaging in other money-making options, music is just an option and one that I love very much; I never asked to be signed on to YBNL, so I’m not bothered as much. But for the sake of those who dig my songs I’m coming with something soon, something cooking with Kiddominant is dropping soon”, he revealed.
Few days ago, some photos went viral of a woman putting pepper into a woman’s vagina
LIB posted photos of a woman ramming chili pepper into the vagina of her cheating husband’s mistress.
The woman has been identified as 23-year-old Ly Chanel from Vietnam.
According to Daily Mail, Ly, who is pregnant caught her husband Chien Keo, 24, having an affair and decided to punish his mistress by stuffing chili peppers into her vagina.
Ly Chanel was suspicious about her husband Chien Keo, because he kept disappearing for hours upon end from their home in Thai Nguyen province, northeast Vietnam.
According to local media reports, the expectant mother and four friends followed Chien to a motel before bursting in on him with her love rival in Thai Nguyen province, northeast Vietnam.
Furious Ly donned latex gloves while three other women held down the mistress and one took pictures as they removed her underwear on Tuesday afternoon.
They then opened a large bag of super-hot 200,000 scoville units red bird’s eye chilies and pushed them inside woman’s privates – causing agonising pain from the hot spice.
Horrifying pictures show the woman being held down by her head, arms and legs as she writhes in agony with red fleshy seeds from inside the peppers smeared across her body and the bedsheets.
The group then posted the pictures online boasting of the punishment – but sparked a furious backlash against them for not targeting the philandering husband.
Ly, who is around three months pregnant expecting a boy, said:
“Would my husband like me to live happily to welcome his child? How can he care for us if he then he cheats with another girl. A woman who destroys the family. Women can forgive easily but they can never forget. Jealousy is painful.” said Ly.
“She will know this. There are people who hate me now, but life is like that, you cannot please everyone. Whoever does what he or she does is their business. But let’s share something that should be shared to see the truth, and do not talk bad about people.”
Police said no complaint had been made from the alleged victim but prosecutors said Ly Chanel could be fined if police charge her.
Lawyer Giang Hong Thanh from the district attorney’s office said:
“First of all, it is necessary to share and sympathize with the wife’s psychological state of affairs in this case if it is indeed the case that a woman who has been rubbed has damaged her family’s well-being.
“However, rubbing chili in another person’s sensitive area and posting the clip on the internet is a sign of humiliating others.
“If chili smears cause injury to another woman’s genitalia the wife may be dealt with under Article 104 of the Penal Code may be subject to administrative sanctions and a fine of from 70 to 100.”

Perhaps, only few women, including men, would remain in one piece after experiencing what Ms. Calista Offor, 45, has gone through in the hands of her ex-husband, 50-year-old Felix Oshai.
For a woman who worked hard to build a thriving company, had good cars and did well for herself, but now living at the mercy of well-wishers because her husband (allegedly) arrived from the United States and hijacked her company, sold two of her cars, took the remaining one for himself, gave her serious beating, converted her properties into his and worst still, married their sales girl, her emotional and psychological wellness can only be imagined.
When our correspondent visited her where she now resides in Lagos during the week, her story is one that could make anyone cry, more so that she alleges that the same man has not stopped humiliating and threatening her as each day passes by. She made strenuous efforts to hold back tears from rolling down her cheeks throughout the conversation, thus every word came out with so much effort and pain.
Flanked by her only child, identified as Onyeka, 17, who suffers from autism, Calista’s torturous journey to her present predicament began when her husband was allegedly deported from the prison in the US and he moved in with her.
Soon after, all she had worked for vanished before she could say, because according to her, he took over the company, took all she had and went away with the company’s sales girl.
Following series of battery, his absence from home for about a year, his refusal to take care of the autistic girl and his alleged infidelity, which made her to contract venereal disease, a sexually transmitted disease, Calista filed for divorce in 2010, which an Ikeja High Court granted in 2016.
Since he left with “everything”, Calista and her autistic daughter had been living from hand to mouth. With the support of Child Dignity Foundation and others, Onyeka now enjoys scholarship at a special school for people with her condition, but getting transport fare from Ipaja, where she lives with her mum, to school is usually a herculean task and so she’s absent regularly. And this is after she had been out of school and therapy for four years due to lack of funds.
A beautiful woman with confidence and good accent, Calista, in an emotive voice, explained that they met while both of them were in school but he travelled to the US while she went for the National Youth Service Corps programme.
She added, “I was 25 when we got married. I was under serious pressure to get married on time, and then he seemed to me as a good man; gentle, meek, intelligent, caring and I was intrigued by his ingenuity. If we had courted much, I would have seen that violent part of him.”
She said it was not until they got married and she joined him in the US that she found out he was involved in nefarious activities. She also recalled that her experience with him in the US ranged from frustrating to ridiculous.
Calista, a graduate of Mass Communication, said, “In the US, we lived with his sister who later threw us out. We moved to an uncompleted building where we lived with all kinds of reptiles before we could raise money to rent an apartment. He confessed to me he was involved in credit card fraud and that he was released from jail to pay restitution. He couldn’t pay up and they rearrested him. I needed to survive, so I got a job in a company. There, I had leg injury and I had to use crutches for some time.
“I was eight-months pregnant when he was rearrested and he was in jail when I had my baby, Onyeka. It was when my daughter was two months old that he was released, with the mandate that he must pay back that money. Onyeka became autistic when she was two years old. I had to sell my jewellery and native wear to raise money and survive.
“Given all the troubles, he suggested we should come back to Nigeria to start afresh but that I should go first so he could work some more and continue paying the restitution.”
While she came back to Nigeria to start life afresh, Calista alleged that she never knew Felix went back to the same credit card fraud, which led to his arrest again before he was later deported.
But while Felix was allegedly languishing in cell in the US prior to his deportation, Calista accepted fate, took the N2m she had saved before travelling and established a company, called FELCAL International Ltd. in Mushin, Lagos.
She said FELCAL was an acronym of their names; Felix and Calista. She said the company which was into selling printing materials, got the sole distributorship for a top product in West Africa, making people from other countries to come to Nigeria to buy the product.
Providence smiled on her and the company began to flourish. When Felix returned from his sojourn, and failing to raise money to start anything, he joined his wife in the business, and they lived as a family.
But, according to her, running the company together was the beginning of the end to her happiness and that of her daughter.
She recalled, “At a point, he told me to stop coming to the office. I had to get a job in a consulting firm. I decided to build a career there and I was getting promotion as and when due. Then, he came again and said I should stop working in the firm, but I refused. I felt I was dreaming, but he beat me black and blue. I lost two of my teeth to that battery.”
Unknown to Calista, more troubles lay ahead. She added, “It’s by miracle that I’m alive. He was beating me, hitting my head against the wall and punching my breasts. There were times he would lock me inside the store in the house from morning till evening for me not to go to work. Knowing I’m asthmatic, he would seize my inhaler and beat me like drum.
“He would say the rate at which they were promoting me, I would soon become a boss and it would get into my head, so, in his words, he needed to stop me.”
Eventually, Calista left the job and resorted to travelling abroad to buy things to sell, but that didn’t change anything.
She said, “Despite the money he was making from the company he already hijacked from me, he was still stealing my money. He forced me to close my personal account and insisted that we run a joint account, which he cleaned up before he left.
He really dealt with me. He refused to take care of Onyeka because of her condition and he would even tell me I don’t have a real child. I wouldn’t know whether his attitude was because of Onyeka’s condition. Whereas, autism runs in his family, because one of his siblings was autistic while one has an autistic child. So, he’s even the one who has the problem.
“Due to beating and stress, I had two miscarriages respectively. Already, he was cheating on me. He would come back late and tell me not to sleep until he came back. He was very mean and would beat me at any opportunity. I noticed he stopped moving close to me, but I didn’t know he had infected me with venereal disease. He was already treating himself but he never told me.
“I must tell you that the infection pains me more than the money he stole from me, because I’m still suffering from it as I’m talking to you.”
Soon after Calista discovered she was infected with the disease, Felix moved out of the house, but not without leaving her empty.
She said, “He knew he was leaving and was already making plans, so he cleaned the joint account and forged my signature to sell two of my cars I bought in the company’s name; Chrysler, a sport utility vehicle and a Mazda car. He also took the Honda Civic saloon car I was using to sustain myself and move my daughter. He’s still making attempts to take over my property in Ajah. He connived with the lawyer to alter the document and told me to forget the property.”
“Since he went with my last car, we now board public transport, and given my daughter’s condition, she could be touching people and be acting funny in the bus, which some people find embarrassing. I learnt he gave the car to his new wife who used to be the company’s salesgirl.”
Interestingly, when Calista took the matter to court in 2010, the presiding judge, Justice (Mrs.) L.A.M. Folami, admitted several documents tendered by Calista.
Calista alleged that Justice Folami, in her judgment in June 2016, granted her ownership of the property, among other rulings. However, according to the judgment’s Certified True Copy, sighted by our correspondent, Felix has ownership while a quarter of the property was given to the child (Onyeka).
This didn’t go down well with Calista, who also alleged that the judge was silent about the ownership of the company.
But on the other hand, the obligations the court imposed on Felix had not been fulfilled till date, which from all indications, had hampered the well-being of the autistic child.
According to the CTC, Felix (the respondent) was directed to “pay the school fees of the child to university level and pay the medical bills of the child; the respondent shall pay the sum of N50,000 monthly (subject to review) for the upkeep and maintenance of the child; and a lump sum of N5m is awarded in favour of the petitioner (Calista) to be paid forthwith, among other issues.”
But Calista said Felix had not done anything since the judgment was given in June 2016.
At the moment, Calista is facing another likely eviction as her rent would soon expire, with no hope of being able to raise a quarter of it.
She said the company makes money till date and that it operates three accounts, out of which only one of the banks made the statement of account available in court, “and which was in millions.”
In spite of the judgment, Calista and her daughter have continued to live from hand to mouth, and at the mercy of well-wishers; the girl had been out of therapy, which is why she throws tantrums and eats her own hand, among other challenges. While on the other hand, Felix allegedly lives in affluence with the millions of naira in the company’s account, domiciled in naira, US Dollars, British Pounds and Euros, according to the bank statements sighted by our correspondent.
Beyond these, he has also, allegedly, married the company’s sales girl, Blessing Oshai, with whom he now has children and they live as a family.
But a child protection, development and advocacy organisation, Child Dignity Foundation, which intervened in the matter, followed the case and ensures that Calista does not sleep outside or go to bed hungry, has called on the state government to intervene in the matter and compel the girl’s father to obey the court judgment and “act responsibly.”
The Executive Director, CDF, Mrs. Amaka Awogu, thanked the sponsor of her scholarship and the school that admitted her, noting, however, that lack of funding as it is at the moment could pose grievous harm to the child, especially in terms of her therapy, supplements and diet.
She said, “For autism and any condition that needs intervention, early intervention is always key, coupled with enabled environment. This child has not got any of these. She was out of school for two years. For people with autism, there are dos and don’ts in their feeding, but how can this woman afford that. We have also spent so much and we no longer have the capital to sustain the prescribed feeding. Whereas, since last year, the court ordered the father to pay those bills, more so that he could afford it, but he flouts the court order in style and nothing happens.
“We need the government to intervene. The mother is also psychologically affected and her life is at a standstill. She can’t do anything for herself. They are struggling and it is worrisome for us. Emotionally, that child is not doing too well, and it’s not her fault that she was born like that. She was once used to a good lifestyle until the father came into the show. Government needs to do something.
“We went to Corporate Affairs Commission and saw that truly, that woman registered the company in her name while he was still in the US. She later gave the man 40 per cent of the company, she took 30 per cent and gave her daughter 30 per cent.
“For us, the child shouldn’t suffer as she is at the moment. All we want is a better life for the girl. The father should be responsible.”
Awogu said even though the foundation gives the woman some money monthly, it couldn’t be enough to meet their needs. She added, “Even if it covers their feeding, what about their transportation? We even planned to get her a job, but that child is her major occupation at the moment.
“We know how he (Felix) threatens the woman, and we have their audio conversation. Lagos State government needs to step in and that case didn’t need to be in court for seven years, given that a child with special needs was involved.”
Meanwhile, the man at the centre of the issue, Felix, in an interview with our correspondent on the phone on Thursday, claimed that the case was still in court. When reminded that judgment was delivered in June 2016, he said he had appealed the case.
“I can’t say much because the matter is in Appeal Court,” he said. But our correspondent was reliably informed that he only filed preliminary objection at the commencement of the original petition that his new wife, Blessing, should not be joined in the case in 2010, and it was after that objection that the matter was heard for six years and the judgment given in 2016.

Here’s Heads Up report;
“I met Vera for the first time in early September 2016. I contacted her about her services as an escort and she told me that she charges Kes 500,000. We spent five days together and later, we kept in touch.
“We decided to start dating and things were all good until last November when I bumped into her phone only to find out she was chatting with clients from Nigeria and negotiating prices for her services. She also had pictures of herself with a Kenyan politician.
“Drama began in May when we had an argument and she went to Nigeria claiming she was going to abort my baby there. I begged her not to do it, but she went ahead. I was angry and I cut off communication with her. I was shocked when she later claimed she had suffered a miscarriage and that I beat her up. I know my truth and I have never laid my hands on Vera.”
However reacting to Oriyomi’s accusation, Vera Sidika denied being pregnant for the Nigerian businessman.
According to her, she is on a five-year birth control procedure which puts the doubts of pregnancy away.
“My ex is obsessed with me and that is why he has not moved on. I have not aborted any child. I have an implant for five years, so I cannot get pregnant” she said.

A 36-year-old Ghanaian prostitute has confessed to being responsible for the deaths of over 100 men who slept with her, while also rendering 70 more impotent after a Nigerian lady introduced into prostitution.
According to Katrine Obenewaa, her quest for money at a very tender age led her into prostitution.
Explaining how she became a sex worker to Bryt FM’s Samuel Mprah, she revealed that a lack of support from her poor parents meant she had to find alternative ways to make money. This, she said forced her into prostitution, adding that she got more involved in the business after she met a Nigerian lady called Miss Elizabeth Opeyemi.
“I was initially working as a local prostitute but later went international after coming into contact with one Miss Elizabeth Opeyemi, an international sex worker from Nigeria,” she revealed.
She further narrated how this mysterious Nigerian woman enticed her to take her prostitution business outside Ghana.
According to her, she started spreading her bounds to neighbouring countries like Benin, Togo and Burkina Faso.
“My eight years of friendship with Miss Opeyemi was a great moment that saw me with billions of cedis. I was able to buy two separates six-bed room apartments from the monies I made through my sex business and now own a lot of other landed properties from this same sex business,” she said.
Katrine continued to make money, however, her quest to create more wealth prompted her to go in for spiritual backup.
She then decided to visit a spiritualist in order to make her business blossom the more, but little did she know that it would turn out for the worst.
She narrates that she realised every man she slept with lost his life afterwards, prompting her to find out why it was so.
However, to her surprise, the spiritualist told her it was the price she had to pay for her wealth while adding that it was irreversible.
She confessed that over 100 men had already died, and 70 more were rendered impotent after sleeping with her before she eventually found out what the cause was.
Katrine also said she’s having a big regret over the whole situation, saying “though I have acquired the needed wealth one could desire for in life, am still not a happy person because of this predicament in my life”.
Second runner-up of the Big Brother Naija, Tokunbo Idowu popular known as Tboss took to her Instagram page to bemoan the destructive nature of depression while commenting on the death of Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennigton who commited suicide yesterday.
Tboss admitted that she had been through depression and only sees it as a rough patch in her life rather than see her life as bad.
The Big Brother Naija slay queen received a lot of criticism and mockery for some of her performances during the reality show, most notably by a Nigerian politician who went as far as body shaming her. So many people on social media had countless venomous words for her. This is enough for someone without a strong will to consider committing suicide, She said those periods made her stronger and now she is immune to whatever people say to or about her.
She uploaded a photo on IG with the caption ;

The drama started recently after the New York Times profiled famous transgender woman Amanda Lepore whose debut memoir Doll Parts has just been released.
In her book, Ms. Lepore claimed she had a sexual relationship with a high profile rapper, and though she didn’t name names, all indications point at Kanye West, BET is reporting.
Here’s how the NYT dropped the hint on Kanye:
“Ms. Lepore describes having an assignation with a famous rapper whose songs often play in the clubs she frequents. Soon after, she writes, he got married, and ‘I couldn’t help but think that his wife had a similar body type to me.’”
That line about her body ignited the speculations that the ‘wife’ could be Kim Kardashian, because like Kim K, Lepore also has a voluptuous figure.
But Kanye’s friend is already shooting down the rumour. In a statement to Page Six, the friend said the alleged sexual affair is “not within the realm of possibility.”
Kanye West himself has yet to speak up since the news surfaced.
