A 200 level Computer Science student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Chinonso David Ibekwe, have been arrested by the Abia State Police Command for reportedly killing a 67-year-old commercial tricycle driver in Umuahia.

A statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, Andrew Enwerem, said detectives attached to Central Police Station, Umuahia, swooped on the suspect after information received on July 1, about the missing Keke driver identified as Peter Alaebuonu Eseonu, of Ekenaobizi Umuopara.

The 25-year-old suspect from Ndiotu Ntalakwu, Bende LGA, gave a lead towards the recovery of the decomposing body of Eseonu in a ditch at Amuzukwu Umuahia.

He confessed to the crime while the decomposing body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue for preservation and autopsy.

The suspect has been charged to Court and remanded in Prison custody.

‘Shashe’ – which was mentioned in 9ice’s song, is a local slang which has been often connected to internet fraud in Nigeria.

Yesterday, while 9ice was responding to the question of Twitter users as directed to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the anchor of Rubbin’ Minds for the renowned singer and Law Graduate on the Entertainment interview platform, he described the word ‘Shashe’ as the advanced word for ‘Shishe’ or ‘Sise’ – the Yoruba word meaning to work.

Doris Simeon’s ex-husband, Daniel, thanks God for liberating him from an abusive marriage and his wife, Stella Damasus, for helping him heal during the time of pain.

The US based filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan sparked off this conversation after his somewhat cryptic post on Instagram today.

Daniel used to be married to actress Doris Simeon and they have a son together named David. He has now moved on and is not married to Stella Damasus and they co-parent their children together.

Daniel shared a photo of himself with Stella on Instagram, and he wrote;

I’m so getting in trouble with @stelladamasus for posting this picture but only 3 people understand the inside joke here. LOL . Some people live an entire lifetime but never get a shot at true love. Some people may never know what it feels like to be TRULY loved. So they may never know what it feels like to wake up every morning next to your woman with no weave, no wig, no make up, and a heavy dose of stinky morning breath…and still love her from here to the moon and back. Can I get a witness?? Babe, I miss your wahala. I miss the way you make me laugh from my core till I have a headache. I miss our late night conversations that lead to late night snacking, and that leads to tears and pain in the gym. Chai! (Damn! Focus dude). It would have been another sad tale by the dreaded Badoo secret cult after a suspected member was apprehended with his gang items before carrying out an operation in Ikorodu area of Lagos state.

The hoodlum who was caught after scaling nine fences while being pursued was later handed to the police.

These pictures of cloth and mortar you see here was found where a Suspected Badoo Gang Member sat and hid himself in an uncompleted building.

At about 10:30pm, When PHCN took the power, my neighbour decided to check and search around his house, that was how he saw the suspected Badoo Gang Member in an uncompleted building beside his apartment without wearing any cloth.

Immediately he saw my neighbour, he ran away. Then my neighbour raised an alarm and call for help, people gathered and started chasing him, the badoo suspect jumped over nine fence but men in the neighborhood surrounded the area to search for him, fortunately he was caught and was handed over to the police.

This incident happened in Eyita, Diasi Okeowo Street, Ikorodu incase you’d like to confirm.

19-year-old Man Nabbed For Disguising As A Female Sex Worker (Photo)

A 19-year-old man, identified as Van Gomani, who allegedly posed as a female sex worker was nabbed in the early hours of today, along Kaunda, Malawi and is currently in the custody of Kanengo Police.

The suspect dressed up like a woman complete with hair extension, stood along the road where he was picked up by a man who thought she was a lady.

A Source said:

“They went together and booked a room. It was in that room that the other man noticed that the person he picked is not a lady but rather a fellow man.”

The man dragged the suspect to police because he felt deceived and believed he posed as a lady with intent to rob him.

A statement signed by the spokesperson for Kanengo Police, Salome Zgambo Chibwana said:

Von Goman comes from kapetera village T/A kapeni in Blantyre and will appear in court soon to answer charges of soliciting immoral purpose which is under section 180 sub section (e) of the penal code.

Restaurant Owner Sells His Employee’s Children In Imo (Photos)

The owner of a restaurant, City Garden Resort, located at Banana Junction, Amaifeke, Chimezie Agubata, has been arrested by the Imo State Police Command in Owerri for allegedly abducting three children and selling two of them.

Agubata, who hails from Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State and reportedly manages an orphanage home, God’s Favour Orphanage Home, in Okporo, was paraded by the police on Friday.

A widow, Mrs. Esther Agwu, narrated to newsmen at the police station how Agubata allegedly abducted her three children and sold off two of them.

The widow, who hails from Amasiri Afikpo Community in Ebonyi State, said she had been working for Agubata when the suspects allegedly abducted the children under the guise that he was taking care of them.

The widow said it was by God’s grace that her eldest child escaped from Agubata’s home when he noticed that his siblings had been given to two different persons, who took them away in different vehicles.

Agwu explained that it was one Ifeanyi, who introduced her to Agubata, upon the demise of her husband.

The widow said the suspect promised to offer her a job without knowing that he was in the business of abducting and selling children.

She said:

“He told me that his wife was not happy that my children were playing around on his business premises and that he would want my three children to stay with his mother in her house. He presented one woman who claimed to be his mother and from the shop she left with my children.
“That same day, he told me that there is one of his uncles in Lagos whose wife has difficulty in child bearing and that the man would want to see me for marriage. He then gave me N5,500 to go to Lagos and told me that he would come and pick me at the park.
“The following day, I left for Lagos to see the proposed husband. But when I got to Lagos, a woman called and picked me and kept me in a place that looked like a brothel with prostitutes.
“I asked her about the man. She said I will go to Ghana or stay in Lagos and do what others were doing at the brothel. I had to run out of the place and went to the street, where I started begging for assistance. Some people assisted me with transport fare with which I immediately travelled back to Orlu to look for my children,”

The state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, said the command was determined to eradicate child trafficking in the state.

He said operatives of the command had been charged to go after people who derive joy in trading in human beings, especially little children, adding that anybody who got involved in running illegal orphanages would be brought to justice.

The husband of the murdered Osun state permanent secretary of Bureau of General Services, Mrs Olufunke Oluwakemi Kolawole, has revealed the strange message she got from his wife three weeks before her death.

The death of Mrs Kolawole, who was reportedly shot died by unknown gunmen along Okene-Abuja Road in Kogi State, on her way to Abuja last Thursday, stirred mixed feelings about the actual cause of the death whether it was an assassination by kidnappers or murder by Armed robbers.

Mr. Tunde Kolawole, the husband of the deceased however spoke with journalists on the text message he got from the wife before she encountered mysterious death.

He said:

“About three weeks ago, she sent a text message to me. I was in Lagos then. When I read the message, it said: ‘In case anything happens, please take care of the children. Make sure they are comfortable.’

“When I read the message, I thought it was her normal way of asking me to care for the children. I never suspected anything bad, neither did I imagine that anything was going to happen to her.

On the speculated death, he expressed doubt on the tendency of his wife being killed by hired assassins.

“I don’t want to believe that she had a premonition of her death before sending that message to me. I only felt that it was her normal way of asking me to take care of the children.”

“I can’t say whether they were kidnappers because the manner in which they attacked her showed that they were not kidnappers, but robbers because some of them searched her bags and made away with money, her handsets and other valuable items”, Mr. Kolawole noted.

After being married for 17 years, Nigerian Actress and Producer, Omoni Oboli, is in a good position to give advice on marriage.

In a recent interview with Punch, when asked how she has kept her home intact, she said she does not take credit for it.

She said:

I don’t know if I keep my home intact; I believe God does that for me. There are many women who do the right things and show up at every time for their husbands and still get the short end of the stick. So I don’t take credit for it. I have my moments and he does too, but somehow it has never tipped the scale and that’s because God made it possible.

Nevertheless, I believe that when you understand that you’re both different individuals who have become one, then you can try to weather any storm, knowing that if you don’t, both of you will have a dreadful life in that marriage. Enjoy it and seek for the things that make for peace because life is too short to waste it fighting.
I have an understanding husband who knows what my job entails and I don’t disrespect him, so we assume responsibilities to fill up the gaps that the other is lacking. My career keeps me away from my family often, but with love and understanding, family and career have never been at war in my home.

40-Year-Old Man Kills His 78-Year-Old Mother Over Potatoes (Photo)

A 40-year-old man, identified as Mark Jennens, has been arraigned in court for killing his ailing mother, Hazel, after he got into a quarrel with her over potatoes.

He appeared before Wolverhampton Crown Court in the UK, as he was accused of the manslaughter of his mother,a 78-year old ailing mother.

He was reportedly provoked by his mom who tried to sabotage his effort while he was making their dinner.

According to reports, he frog-marched his mother, who had osteoporosis and lung cancer, to the door, fracturing her hip. She later died from bronchopneumonia in hospital.

A transcript read out during his court trial stated that the man said he lost temperament on his 78-year-old mother after calling him stupid.

He said:

“After being told I’m stupid for trying to sort dinner out, I just lost it and went to chuck her out of the door”,

His mum died two days after undergoing surgery over the attack from son.

How Man Killed Mother Over Potatoes

A 40-year-old Mark Jennens was arraigned in court for killing his elderly mother after a quarrel over making potatoes as dinner in UK.

Popular comedian, Seyi Law has taken to social media to appreciate his fans who have stood by him through the social media banter he had with controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo.

According to the comedian, his daughter, Tiwaoluwa, who has been crowned the leader of ‘pepperdem gang’ is well. He further said that he has lost one before and wouldn’t want to lose another.

Attack By Suspected Badoo Member Prevented In Ikorodu (Photos)

An attack by a suspected member of the notorious cult group, Badoo, was averted on Eyita Diasi Okeowo Street in Ikorodu, Lagos state last Friday.

“Glory be to God for saving us in our area from the attack of BADOO GANG yesterday, 14th of July 2017. These pictures of cloth and mortar you see here was found where a Suspected Badoo Gang Member sat and hid himself in an uncompleted building. At about 10:30pm, When PHCN took the power, my neighbour decided to check and search around his house, that was how he saw the suspected Badoo Gang Member in an uncompleted building beside his apartment without wearing any cloth. Immediately he saw my neighbour, he ran away. Then my neighbour raised an alarm and call for help, people gathered and started chasing him, the badoo suspect jumped over nine fence but men in the neighborhood surrounded the area to search for him, fortunately he was caught and was handed over to the police. This incident happened in Eyita, Diasi Okeowo Street, Ikorodu incase you’d like to confirm”.

Infamous Nigerian Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, is not yet done with Seyi Law’s wife, who she dragged in her social media face-off with the comedian before now.

The Controversial 53-year-old who went on a social media rant after Seyi Law reacted to her call out post, wrote on facebook;

Fake Kidnapping: Ambode Orders Prosecution Of Baale Of Shangisha

The Baale of Magodo/Shangisha was a last week suspended by Governor Ambode after he was paraded by the Lagos state Police command for faking his own kidnap – in related developments the Governor has ordered the Prosecution of Chief Ogundare for the crime committed

In a press release signed by the State’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Muslim Folami, the Governor ordered Ogundare to henceforth desist from parading himself as the Baale of Shangisha or discharge any duties attached to chieftaincy matters in the State.

Folami, in the statement, said:

This is to inform the general public that His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has authorized the DEPOSITION AND PROSECUTION by police of Chief Yusuf Mutiu Ogundare, Baale of Shangisha with immediate effect.

This is in accordance with Section 38, subsection 1 of the Obas and Chiefs Laws of Lagos State inter-alia

The Governor may suspend or depose any Oba or Chief whether appointed before or after commencement of this law, if he is satisfied that such suspension or deposition is required according to customary law or is necessary in the interest of peace or good government.?

Furthermore, he (Ogundare) is to stop parading himself, purports to exercise or discharge any of the duties attached to Chieftaincy Matters with immediate effect.? Folami said the deposition follows the formal confession of the Baale to security services that he staged his own kidnap to blackmail the State Government.

The States Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, while parading the suspects at the Lagos House in Ikeja, had narrated how they conspired to perfect the fake kidnap, all in a bid to implicate the Oba of Magodo, as well as rubbish the State Government and security agencies. Owoseni said six days after the incidence, some men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on patrol in Alausa area at about 10pm apprehended Ogundare after he was dropped in a suspicious manner by a car which sped off immediately.

While the Muslim faithfuls were saying their early morning prayers, a female suicide bomber detonated the bomb strapped on her.

At least 10 people are reportedly dead after the suicide bomber struck the mosque in Maiduguri, Borno state this morning.

Those who sustained injuries have been taken to the hospital while efforts to take the remains of the victims to the morgue is ongoing.
