An Instagram user, iamdeematt, has shared his hilarious story of how a confused Lagos bus driver took him and other passengers in the bus on an early Sunday morning road trip around the state.
According to him, the driver had taken them through about 4 routes before finally asking his conductor where their destination was.
He wrote:
On a beautiful Sunday morning, a BMT/Lagbus driver either confused or high on weed, from abule egba/toll gate to Oshodi decided to take his passengers on a morning cruise. From abule-egba to General hospital, through to anifowose area of Ikeja, then found his way back to ile-zik, and turned back towards Iyana-ipaja and then asked his ticketter WHERE ARE WE GOING SEF? It was not a funny scene between d passengers and the driver. ??
Nollywood actress, Silverline Nancy Onuoha, is one fast rising starlet who is prepared to take the Nollywood industry by storm.
Though she only has a little moviies to her credit, the Enugu State-born, Lagos bred, and Kenya schooled light-skinned, slim-frame beauty has always had the acting DNA in her blood.
She started acting from her primary school, where she was always the lead character until the big challenge of Nollywood, which according to her, is as stimulating as it is refreshing.
In an interview with Vanguard, she said;
“Nollywood is soon going to feel my full glow. All I have been doing are bit parts, but they should watch out for the real Nancy Dive, that’s my stage name, because I am ready to consume all that comes my way with my talent and sexuality”
When the slight-figured and almost flat-chested actress said one of her selling points are her boobs, it is just inevitable not to ask how that figures.
“Yes, I have small boobs but my nipples are bombshell. You don’t have to own monstrous boobs to feel you have great boobs. In fact the main treat of a boob is the nipple and I have the longest, most tantalising and sexiest nipples you have ever seen,” she declared.
A 42-year-old man has asked an Alakuko Customarily Court in Lagos State, to end his marriage to his wife of six years because of her untidy behaviour.
Mr. John Odusanya told the court that his wife, Abosede, was an untidy woman who does not care about the wellbeing of the home and her children. He further accused his wife of being lazy and dirty.
“My wife sometimes goes for days without taking her bath. I have cautioned her several times but she is not willing to change. She smells and it really puts me off s3x.
“Taking care of our two children is a big task for her I started bathing our children the day I discovered they had body odour. I would wash, cook and clean while my wife sits and watches TV until NEPA takes the light.
“I met her in church and I thought I had found a good Christian woman. She uses foul language in front of our children and gossips a lot. She stopped going to the shop I opened for her because she said provision business is not lucrative.
“I don’t want to commit adultery so I want a divorce so that I can move on with my life,” he said.
The wife was however not in court. The case was consequently adjourned till August 4.
US trained investigative and controversial journalist, now turned political activist, Kemi Olunloyo who regained her freedom this previous Monday from Kuje prison, Port Harcourt where she was remanded in a defamation case, has disclosed more on her life back in prison, adding that she got married while in there.
The 52-year-old Ibadan state born in a post on Instagram spoke also on how being in prison got her close to God that she even had to give time to the Bible that she ripped in 2016 as being a “storybook” of fiction.
She quoted as thus:
#BREAKING
I GOT MARRIED LIKE I PROMISED TO IN 2017. Yes I got MARRIED to someone in prison. This is my FIRST SUNDAY away from #PHMax prison. I lean towards Catholism and Islam which I grew up in and attended the Catholic church inside the prison. There are up to 4 churches and a mosque in there plus the Pentecostal churches that visits inmates weekly and bring us the word of God and provisions. I became a “bible reader”. The same bible I ripped in 2016 as being a “storybook” of fiction may have been real. I studied what the prophets of old said. It seems unreal but these things likely happened.
But why are we commercializing religion and brainwashing the congregation? I will become a Woman of God very soon and use my prophetic abilities and bible story knowledge to apply wisdom to your lives. Prison always make all inmates spiritual…right? .
Hell No! Jesus shows up in the most expected places. Unlike the enemies of the #freethesheeple movement who are so Christ obsessed? I did not find #Jesus. He found me! Jesus is my first and new HUSBAND! I have never been married or divorced in my entire life. This will be an everlasting relationship.
Say Alleluia! May God forgive your sins too! Dont be obsessed with religion. Minimize!
#HAPPYSUNDAY to all of you and my former inmates. My seat in the front row near our Catholic female leader and 76yo #MamaOwerri will be empty today as Father tells the church about my release last week.

Billionaire daughter, Temi Otedola and her boyfriend have just made their relationship Official, after they both shared pictures from a wedding.
Recall earlier this year, the couple sparked dating rumors when folks noticed that they often featured on each other’s snaps and they were always together, loved up.. They didn’t deny or confirm the rumors though.
Again, the pair were in Barcelona recently, for the Camp Nou experience tour, and again they both shared photos of their visit…
Now, it just looks like they are all ready to go public as they were again pictured together at the wedding of Folorushho Alakija’s son to his bride, Naza.
Eazi shared the below beautiful photo and captioned it; “I just Met a Fan! She sabi my entire Mixtape”
See some pictures below;
DJ Cuppy and her boyfriend, Victor Anichebe were also spotted at the lavish wedding ceremony.
Apparently, Rohr looked very sober after his team went down 2 goals to nil at home to the bafana bafana of South Africa.
For a man who was yet to taste defeat after over eight straight matches, the loss to South Africa was like an anti-climax in his effort to build a young team for Nigeria. Yet he remained resolute in his support for his team.
“We had a fantastic first half. It was just that the boys could not convert their chances. And it is not nature to blame any single player for a loss. We played a very young team whose age average was 23, the youngest team in Africa. Because of their age, when they are winning, everything is fine but when they are losing they get frustrated. It is always like that with a young team.”
Obviously aware of the team’s lack of experience, Rohr refused to admit that the team missed the services of the likes of Mikel Obi and Victor Moses.
“I don’t want to search for excuses and say we missed this player or that player. We played the best we could and we lost. We can’t win every time. We can take some positives from this result as well.”
He absolved goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi from blame, saying the goals conceded were as a result of the failure of the whole team.
“It wasn’t his fault. He had a difficult game. Like the second goal was a gift. Only one player was at the back and under such a situation, what can the goalkeeper do? It was a loss by the whole team.”
There was tumultuous ovation and excitement, yesterday, at the Force Headquarters, Kam Salem House, Abuja, and the Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos, after news filtered that the notorious and most dreaded kidnap kingpin in the country, Evans, has been arrested by the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, IRT, inside his bedroom, in the Magodo area of Lagos.
Evans, described as the most notorious, high profile kidnapper – and the richest in Nigeria – was, at last, unmasked.
Before yesterday’s arrest, the Police had placed a N30million bounty on his head. When Policemen broke into his room to arrest him, he was said to have sheepishly said, “I know this is the end,m I am finished”.
His real name is Chukwudidumeme Onuamadike, aged 36, and hails from Umudim Village, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Sunday Vanguard has been made to understand that during preliminary questioning, Evans confessed to having been behind virtually all the high profile kidnap incidents in places including but not limited to Lagos, Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Aba.
His exploits also included the 2013 attempted kidnapping of the owner of The Young Shall Grow Motors. He was said to have confessed that the kidnap job was brought to him by one Emeka. He also confessed that he has two properties in Ghana, one of which is where his wife and five children have reportedly moved into. Among many items recovered from him yesterday during his arrest were expensive phones, one of which is put at a cost of $6,000.
His arrest yesterday, came just few weeks after many members of his gang, including his second and third in command, were rounded up at different locations in the country. Their arrest came few days after one of their victims, Donatus Dunu, a wealthy owner of a pharmaceutical company at Ilupeju, Lagos, escaped miraculously from the hideout where they kept him for months.
He was abducted in front of his office in Ilupeju, on February 14, 2017, after he closed for the day, by gun-totting young men who blocked his car with their SUV and threw him into the booth of the car. Members of his family later paid about N150m to effect his release. But the kidnappers insisted on getting N500m.
They threatened to kill their victim if the full ransom was not paid. Luckily, few weeks after the payment of the ransom and their consistent threat to kill their victim, Dunu miraculously escaped from their hideout at Igando, a suburb of Lagos. He, thereafter, alerted security agents who swung into action and started rounding up members of the gang.
Information made available to Sunday Vanguard by very dependable sources suggested that efforts of the police paid off on Friday night, after they were able to locate Evans’ where about, using sophisticated communication gadgets provided by the Inspector-General of Police.
Police sources hinted that while almost all police formations in the country were on red alert trying to locate the notorious kidnap kingpin, the Inspector-General of Police, who was visibly angry with the delay, sent three special teams attached to his office down to Lagos to complement the efforts of those on ground.
It was further gathered that the teams came with new sophisticated communication gadgets for the operation. Intelligence reports had indicated that failure to arrest the Evans was not unconnected with his possession of some state of the art jamming device, which made it easy for him to serially knock off signals that would have enabled men of the force pin him down.
The change in equipment, according to sources, paid off at last, after detectives were able to locate his where about late Friday night – even though his telephone sets were already switched off to avoid detection. He was reportedly traced to his palatial home in Magodo, Lagos, while he had already packed his bags and baggages, ready to fly to South Africa, the next day.
It was gathered that after his arrest, the elated members of the IGP’s team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Philip, immediately alerted their leader, ACP Aba Kyari, who gave the Inspector-General the cheering news.
In Lagos, officers and men of other formations, including civilians, rushed to catch a glimpse of the dare-devil kidnapper that gave them sleepless nights.
It was learned that people even came from far-away Festac and Amuwo-Odofin/Ojo axis where he held sway during his inglorious reign by abducting wealthy men and forcing them to pay not less than N500m before they were set free.
As at the time of going to press, detectives were yet to give access to the suspect but a police source said he may be paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, today.

The wife of the late sergeant, Mrs. Rose Iboko in a new interview with Punch also revealed that after she lost her husband in the tragic attack, one of her triplets slumped and died when he saw his father’s corpse.
Punch’s reporter, Chidiebube Okeoma, went to Amakohia in the Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of the state, where the 32 year old widow resides with her seven children for an interview.
He revealed that Mrs Iboko broke down in tears when the incident leading to the death of her husband became the discourse.
Her grief is palpable. One only needs to cast a glance at Mrs. Rose Iboko to decipher that the anguish of losing her husband has taken a toll on her.
As she narrated how life took a turn for the worst for her and her seven kids after the death of her husband, she constantly wiped her tears with the back of her hand so her kids would not notice her distraught state.
Her first son, Favour, who is 16, cried profusely when asked the last time he spoke with his father before his death.
He said amid sobs, “I spoke with daddy two days before his death. He died on Thursday, but had promised to come home for the weekend. He promised to give me money for some textbooks I needed once he arrived. But he couldn’t fulfill his promise as he died two days to the day he promised to come home.’’
Below are excerpts from the interview with Punch;
I am Mrs. Rose Iboko, wife of the late Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko, the policeman who died as a result of the gunshot injuries he sustained in a shootout with armed robbers at the Wetheral Road branch of Zenith Bank on February 22, 2017.
We are from Etitiulo community in the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, but we live in Amakohia in Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State. I am 32 years old.
My late husband was from the same community with me. I am a housewife, while my husband was the breadwinner. I was only taking care of the home and our kids.
When did he die?
He died the next day after the incident on Thursday. Before I could arrive in Mopol 18 office in Owerri, my husband was already dead. It was in the office of the officer in charge of the unit that I was told that my husband was dead.
I was, however, not allowed to see his corpse. I was only able to see his corpse for the first time during his burial in the village when his remains were laid to rest. That was almost one month after his death. He was 37 years old.
When did you see him last and what did you discuss?
I saw my husband last, four days before his death. It was on February 19. He came home for the weekend to inform his children and I that he had got a new posting to work as a security officer in a bank. I never thought that it would be the last time we would see, talk and hold each other.
He also told his children that he would be visiting the next weekend to bring them foodstuff and money for the upkeep of the family, especially for their textbooks.
He was just three days old in the bank before the robbery which claimed his life. He resumed at the bank on Monday, the bank robbery took place on Wednesday, and he died on Thursday before I could even arrive in Owerri.
Were you aware that he sacrificed his life to save that of others on the premises of the bank that day?
Yes, I am very aware. I was not surprised that he confronted them because he was a combatant, committed and patriotic cop. My only regret was that his death was untimely, leaving me to cater for our children alone.
He was in Yobe State for a special mission during the upsurge of Boko Haram attacks in the North.
He was also on special missions in Kano and Plateau states and he fought gallantly. One thing about him was that he was committed to his job. He loved his job and derived joy in saving lives.
What did you do when you learnt of his demise?
It was one of his colleagues who called me on a Thursday morning to tell me that my husband was shot by armed robbers the previous day. I don’t know the person but he spoke to me in a manner that suggested that all was not well.
He didn’t tell me that my husband was dead. He only informed me that my husband was shot by armed robbers a day before that day.
It was when I arrived in Mopol 18 that I was told that my husband, whom I spoke with on the phone on Tuesday prior to that day, was dead. I couldn’t believe it. I told them to stop the joke but they insisted that he was dead.
It was as if my world had crumbled. Several thoughts came to my mind within a few minutes: “Where do I begin? How do I explain what happened to him to his children, especially our last child, Success, who was fond of him? Where do I go from here?”
What do you tell the children anytime they ask after their father?
I have eight children for him; seven boys and a girl, Success, who I earlier said is the last born. We have triplets; all boys, but sadly, one of them, Chukwuebuka slumped and died the day their father’s remains were to be interred. He slumped immediately he saw his dad’s corpse during his lying-in-state and died.
It was a double tragedy for my family that day. He was very close to his father.
Despite being just five years, he couldn’t bear the loss of his loving father. Most of my children know that their father is dead, only the young ones are yet to comprehend what happened.
I keep telling those ones anytime they ask after him that he is on a special assignment and would be back soon. But each time I lie to them, I would go into the room and weep profusely because when they ask for his whereabouts, I also recall the great moments we shared.
How have you been coping with the kids without their father?
It has been hell for me since he died. The children dropped out of school because I could no longer pay their school fees. I don’t work, I am a house wife. His sudden death was an agonising loss to my family.
To eat is now a problem. Most times, we don’t eat and when we eat, it is half food. Last night (Friday), we took groundnuts as dinner. It has been very difficult for us. We now live from hand to mouth. We always go to bed hungry without knowing where the next meal will come from.
Has the Nigeria Police Force reached out to you to support your family?
Not at all. They only came for his burial in the village on Friday, March 17, 2017. I am now left with my children alone.
What assistance has the bank rendered to you knowing that your husband died in the course of protecting its assets and customers?
The bank only assisted me in making sure that he was buried. After that, no help has come from the bank.
What kind of husband and father was he?
My late husband was a combat-ready police officer. He loved his job with a huge passion. I was not surprised that he engaged the robbers in a gun duel because he was committed to what he did. As a husband, he was a caring one. He was a role model to his children. He loved me and his children so much. Whenever he came home on weekends to see us, he would buy foodstuff and all we needed.
His family was first in all he did. He was close to the last child who is also the only girl. It was in the process of looking for a girl child that I had many children. He used to carry her about anytime he was at home. He never beat me for once. Whenever we had issues, we settled them inside our home amicably without anybody knowing that we had disagreements. He was everything I desired in a man. He was caring, romantic and responsible. He was equally God-fearing. He was a member of Jesus Deliverance Bible Church in Amakohia. He took us along to anywhere he was transferred to.
Tell me about your last conversation with him?
We spoke last the Tuesday preceding that robbery. I called him to complain to him about his children’s stubbornness. You know how children behave at times? I told him about their attitude because he had more influence over them than me as a woman. He immediately asked me to give the phone to the boys and reprimanded them. He told them to behave well and that he would buy something for them on the way home for the weekend.
They boys quickly obeyed. I also told him about the textbooks of his first son, Favour, and he promised to give him the money on his return on Saturday. I didn’t know that it would be our last discussion. What a world! As if he knew he was going to die, before he left for his new posting to the bank, he called all his children on Sunday and told them to be good children. His words were full of wisdom. He asked them not to look for trouble. When he was leaving on Monday, we all said goodbye to him without knowing that it was the last time we would see him.
How did you meet?
We met in our village. I told you we came from the same village. We grew up together. He knew me when I was a young girl and from there, he liked me and later proposed marriage to me. We got married in 1999 and even as of that time, I was young. He was not a policeman then. He became a police officer few years after our wedding. He was nice and hard working. Honestly, I miss him. Tears are my companion every night. I have yet to come to terms with his demise.
Would you allow any of your children to join the police considering how their father died?
I wouldn’t stop any of my children who wants to be a police officer. As a matter of fact, our second child, Wisdom, who is 13, always told his father that he wanted to be a cop in future. The choice is entirely that of any child who chooses that. I will only pray for the child not to die untimely like his father.
Do you have any regrets that he was a policeman?
I have no regrets that my husband was a policeman because it was what he loved. I am proud of my late husband as a police officer. My only regret is that he died young without fulfilling his dreams and goals.
What do you want Nigerians to do for his family, especially as many saluted his courage?
I want government and Nigerians to help me support the education of our children and to take care of us. I want them to please do for his kids, the things he would have done for them as a father if he were alive. I am jobless.
What were the things he planned to do which death did not allow him to realise?
He had an uncompleted building project in the village. He was building a bungalow. I am not sure I know where I will take my children to whenever we visit the village. He promised to train them up to the university level. He pledged that he would assist Favour to realise his dream to study medicine. But death didn’t allow him to fulfill any of them.
Where are his parents and how did they receive the news of his death?
My husband’s father is dead and his mother, Mrs. Maria Iboko, is seriously sick, owing to the shock she suffered upon hearing the news of her son’s death. My husband was her second child and the family’s breadwinner. She is almost 80 years old. My mother is currently down with stroke. She could not bear the news. She was fond of my husband.
We are at the mercy of a landlord, he wants his rent. We owe 15-months, rent and that is about N180,000. I want the good people of Nigeria to come to our aid before we are thrown out of the apartment.

“Nigerians do not forgive losers easily and it is our responsibility to make the country proud whenever we are in action,” added the Turkey-based midfielder.

IPOB has told the Arewa Groups to give the Igbos time to relocate back to the south. Their leader, Nnamdi Kanu also thanked the northerners for giving the Igbos an advance warning to vacate the north.
Recall, some Arewa youth groups had a three-month quit notice from the north to Igbos residing there.
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, and other northern Governors had kicked against the notice but some elders in the region have backed the eviction of Igbo from the north.
The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) on Friday, June 9, threw its weight behind the call for Igbo to vacate the north.
In a statement signed by Emma Powerful, IPOB called on all southerners in the north to start leaving the region as soon as possible.
“We the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it’s leadership worldwide wish to sincerely thank the Arewa Elders Forum (AEF), Arewa Youths and Arewa Consultative Forum for seeing sense in what IPOB has been saying about the need for a referendum to be conducted in Nigeria to decide the fate of the component ethnic nationalities criminally lumped together by the British in 1914,” the statement read.
“Biafrans in general also wish to thank these vocal Northerners for at least having the courtesy to issue advance warning this time before embarking on their routine massacre of Igbos and other Biafrans living in Northern Nigeria; unlike what their fathers did in 1966 when death, destruction and mayhem were unleashed upon unsuspecting innocent civilian populations from the South comprising of mostly Igbo men, women and children.
“Igbo massacres in Northern Nigeria has occurred so many times that it has almost become some sort of an annual sporting activity for blood thirsty Northern youths. That is why we are particularly grateful to Arewa Youths and Elders for having the decency to give us prior notice before the slaughter commences.
“We promise to adhere to your warning to leave Northern Nigeria because a word is enough for the wise. Biafrans and other Southerner should start packing their properties to come down to the South. We also advice the Northern youths and their Elders to keep it on because all they have done is exercise their right to free speech which is not a crime under any law known to man. We are therefore against those calling for the arrest of these Arewa Youths and their Elders.
“It is abundantly evident from the genocidal statements coming from certain influential segments of Northern Nigeria that the British socio-political experimentation and economic fraud we know today as Nigeria, should not have been created in the first place. IPOB is very much aware of the covert blackmail and implied threat inherent in the utterances emanating from Islamic Northern Nigeria.
“Furthermore, the assumption that economic investments of Biafrans in the Northern part of the contraption called Nigeria is an impediment to Biafra restoration project is misguided and most definitely misplaced. This is cheap blackmail designed to trigger rancour among Biafra populations because the North have always assumed and wrongly too, that Igbos will place economic well being over and above their life. This assumption is based on a false premise and one we are determined to prove same as events unfold in the coming weeks and months.
“IPOB under the divine leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the instrument Chukwu Okike Abiama (God Almighty) is using to restore Biafra, therefore we are not afraid of our enemies, neither will any threat or violence from any quarter deter us. We remain peaceful in our noble quest to restore Biafra but we must caution that we always retain the right as a people to defend ourselves should the need arise.
“The civilised world is aware that we IPOB have been adopting peaceful means to restore Biafra since 2014. It is the Arewa Islamic Northern Nigeria dominated Army, Police, Navy and Civil Defence that has brought torture, killings, massacres and mayhem to communities and populations in the South. Till date, nobody has been held to account despite the existence of a comprehensive Amnesty International report to this effect.
“We are aware that these Northern youths and their sponsors Britain, have perfected plans to begin another round of killing of innocent people as the did in 1966. We advise them not to make this mistake because Britain will no longer protect Islamic Northern Nigeria because in this digital age, the world is watching. Allow Biafrans time to relocate peacefully back to Bafraland, that is all we ask.”
Other northern stakeholders against the quit notice include, Sokoto governor Aminu Tambuwal and the Emir of Katsina Abdulmumini Kabir.
They said that Igbo natives are free to reside in the region for as long they want.

AND so I waited this long to let the world know how much of a blessed man I am because I like keeping my personal life private! But you cannot keep a good thing like YOU Shalom Oforji under wraps. In 2012 I never knew that when the New Year started that I would be blessed with the most beautiful gift on earth, the woman I would call my life partner! @shalium
We met in school at a very dark point in my life but you eventually helped transform me into a man that I could be proud of.
Thanks for saying YES to be my wife! Thanks for waiting for 4years for me to grow up to pop the question and most importantly thanks for saying YES to our future. Thanks for making my life awesome! You came and lit up every dark corner. Gave my weakness a meaning until it became my strength!! I am so glad that it went wrong with others so that it could work with you!
Everyday with you since we met has been epic, through up’s and downs, bad, good and worse, rose and blue. You have been there! We might look too young now but I am so sure we will take the world by storm! To forever…
Actor, Yomi Fabiyi has once again said that Veteran Actor, Baba Suwe is going through a deteriorating health following the torture he suffered in the hands of the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 2011.
Fabiyi has called on Nigerians, to lend a helping to the Actor who he says is traumatized after losing an appeal to receive a compensation fee of N25 million initially granted to him by the Lagos State High Court.
Recall, High Justice Yetunde Idowu ordered the Drug Law Enforcement Agency to pay the actor N25m for detaining him after he was found innocent of the allegations of drug trafficking.
Omidina, who is a widower has been left to suffer undue trauma as a result of the humiliating experiences he went through during the incident.
“I am calling on all senior colleagues in the entertainment world especially those close to Baba Suwe because I don’t have everyone’s contact to please reach out to him as soon as possible,” Fabiyi said in a statement according to the Daily Post News.
”The torture done on him by NDLEA is vastly damaging his health at an alarming rate.
“He told me he no longer feel comfortable since that episode. Baba Suwe is a widower, he can hardly walk properly as I speak, let alone go to film.
”How will he feed and take care of the children aunty Moladun left behind?
“This is an A-List Entertainer and this conspiracy of silence gives me mental agony on my part, I don’t want to speak when it may be too late, I won’t forgive myself.
”He told me when I visited him that he is innocent of the accusations and yet a long pipe was inserted through his anus; he was detained for too long amongst other things just because he was randomly suspected like every normal person.
”In my opinion, only lazy, ill-trained, unfit and uncivilized officers torture in the name of investigation.
“Torture is criminal and sinful. If this accusation is found to be true by independent investigators, it shouldn’t go unpunished.
”The court asked NDLEA to pay him 25 million for damages which is yet to be obeyed but to me an open apology will placate him and illustrate some dignified and civil approach from a government agency that made him go through all that without coming up with a single proof after that prolonged detention and drama.
”He who assert must prove! NDLEA needs to restore public confidence by doing the needful on this matter. And until individuals and government agency begin to respect fundamental human right and enhance duty of care, the essence of Nigeria’s freedom is far from been realistic.
”No malice is intended against NDLEA with this outcry, I just hope the leadership see this as a clarion call for getting it right and save the agency from sending an innocent person to an early grave whereby leaving his children to suffer unjustly. My humble take. Thank you. Yomi Fabiyi”, the actor concluded.

Akpororo had a chat with Nigerian Tribune and he’s revealed where he get’s his inspiration from watching mad men.
Read The interview as exclusively shared by Nigerian Tribune Below;
Here are excerpts from the chat;
It’s been about seven years since you started and you have become one of Nigeria’s most sought-after comedians. What would you have to say about that?
I want to thank God for that first. Now, I have my own platform, which is Akpororo Vs Akpororo. I am happy with what God has given me: my family, the experiences. I thank God for His grace upon my life.
As a young comedian, would say that you encountered no challenges on your way up?
I am a man with favour and grace. My brother, I just give God the glory. With grace, there are no challenges. I am just favoured.
Omobaba recently talked about “godfatherism” as a factor in the comedy industry. What do you have to say about it?
I don’t know about that because I do not have any godfather. What I know is, as a new comedian, you must look for platform. If that platform is what he called “godfatherism” I don’t know. In spite of your talent, as a new comedian, you must locate the platform that will bring you out. And the truth is most of our senior colleagues have the platforms. So, you have to work hard and make sure they notice you before you can use their platforms. It is from their platform that people will know you and you will be able to get shows as well as build yourself.
What were the things you did to locate the platform that brought you out? And who helped you?
Just like I said before, I am favoured. And I believe it is not just me. I know there are many people enjoying the same grace as me. I went for National Comedy Challenge organised by Guinness and other competitions then. Beside these platforms, you also need prime platforms to perform. For instance, Basketmouth saw me in Coco Lounge and featured me in his show. And from there, things picked up. He also was the first person to take me to London.
So, Basketmouth is your godfather in the industry?
He is a senior colleague and someone who gave me my first major lift in the industry. And like I said, he was the first person that took me to London. That was in 2012, about a year after I came into the industry.
In your own opinion, what makes a joke very funny in Nigeria?
[Smiles] My brother, this question eh! What makes a joke funny is in the way it is told. First, Nigeria on its own is funny. We have so many funny things around us. So, in telling a joke, we talk about things that people experience every day. I am talking about street life, Lagos drivers and their conductors, poverty and wealth. These are things that people know and can relate to. As comedians, what we do is to tell these real life stories and because Nigeria is a funny country, these stories become funny to those who know and can relate to them. Let me also say that, we also imagine or project into situations. We can fast-ward or rewind a particular incident just to know how it could have been. Most times people find truth in these things. And that technique is always successful especially when you have creative imagination. Mostly, what we do now is to dwell on real life incidents. Any incident that happens in Nigeria today is a material short and simple. So to make a joke funny, just be observant especially when you are walking around Lagos. You will see funny things. Even as we are talking now, I don dey get material.
In the comedy industry, people have their own niche. Some comedians dance, some sing and some combine talking, dancing and singing. You do not only combine everything, you also have this crazy person’s persona. What inspired it?
It is my own style. I figured that if you are coming into the industry you need to bring something new. Like you said, some comedians sing, dance and even act drunk. I know I can dance and sing, but I wanted to stand out, so I introduced something. People talk about mad people a lot in jokes, but I decided to act it out. It is my strategy and I want to thank God for what He has done.
This over cute pre-wedding photo of this macho FRSC officer and his petite fiancee has got social media buzzing, as users have tagged them as the “David & Goliath Couple“.

Every Nigerian who reads this story will surely be in awe cause we all remember the tragic story of Kechi Okwuchi, the Jesuit college student who was among the 2 people that survived the Sosoliso plane crash which took 107 lives years ago.
Impressively, Kechi was one of the contestants at the 2017 America’s Got Talent who succeeded in impressing the judges and audience.
She in her introduction, gave reason of how she fell in love with music after experiencing the crashed plane which killed 107 passengers out of 109
“I was in a plane crash when I was about 16 years old back in Nigeria. It took the lives of a 107 out of a 109 passengers, and I was one of the 2 survivors,” she said, adding that lying in the bed in the hospital and not being able to move, music was her escape.
Kelechi was able to share her voice on America’s Got Talent after she underwent several surgeries through pain and her solace in family and music.
Simeon Cowell even gave her a standing ovation when it was all done.
In 2005, the ill-fated Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 coming from Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja crashed and erupted in flames at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
7 people were rescued alive from the burning plane, but only 2 survived the horrible experience.
After the arrest of “On Point” singer Dammy Krane, in the US for credit card fraud and grand theft, a new disclosure has been made about why he was kicked out of 2Face‘s Hypertek record label.
A source very close to the troubled singer, who spoke with Saturday Beats said:
“Dammy Krane had left Tuface’s Hypertek record since February 2015. Tuface is trying to build a reputable company and they do not want any negative news. That is why they did not announce his exit from the label. They had issues with him over the way he was doing collaborations with other artistes. It was not part of the contract that he signed, so technically it is a breach of contract. They gave him several warnings which he did not adhere to, so they had no choice but to terminate the contract that they had with him. They did not make any noise about it because they did not want anything that would dent his image and that of the company. He was in the US to get new investor to help his career and also shoot some videos because he already had new material. He was also meant to use the opportunity to embark on his US tour,”
Nollywood actress and mother of one, Uche Ogbodo, in a recent interview with Vanguard discloses a lot about her life as a single parent and more.
Uche, who was once married to ex-Nigerian Footballer, Ato Ubby, revealed that her daughter has never met her father.
“As a single mother, life is more fulfilling than it would have been as a single girl without a child.
I’m still hoping to find that wonderful human being that would fill the remaining part of my needs. I’m open to anything. Yes, I’m dating, but I haven’t found the one.
Back in the days, I used to say this is the kind of man I want and all that but you know, we’re women and when a different kind of man comes and lies to you, you just fall head over heels.
In the past, I always painted pictures, but eventually I fell for the wrong person. So, let God give me the kind of man that he knows is best for me.”
On her relationship with your ex, she said:
“We’re not talking. He doesn’t keep in touch, but that’s fine.”
On what fame has robbed her of, she said:
“Fame has also brought me negative attention from guys in the area of relationship. People tend to fall in love with the you on TV and not the real you.
And when they get to know the real you, they might not like it, but still stick around just because you’re famous. And then you end up hurting each other, because the relationship is fake and based on fantasy.”
On the babymama trend, she said:
“I’m a single mother already. It happened by fate. I never wanted it to happen this way. I wanted to be married. I think it’s an individual thing. I don’t judge people.
I want to get married. I need a partner in my life, because I don’t think I want to spend the rest of my life alone with my children. Even at this age, my daughter keeps asking me about her father. She has never seen him.
This isn’t what I want and it hurts me sometimes. But what can I do and I am hoping that I can get a good daddy for my daughter. I pray that someday I will be able to say to my daughter ‘This is your daddy’, because every time she asks I never say anything.”
Favour Ilo is a 5-year-old girl in kindergarten and the daughter of a carpenter and akara seller who was raped in school by the Headmistress’ grown son in Awka, Anambra State on Monday, June 5th.
The suspect’s mother, Mrs Onwuzulike allegedly wants to close the case by offering a Hundred thousand Naira to the victim’s parents.
Below is the full report by lawyer and human rights activist, Emeka Ugwuonye:
RAPE OF A 5-YEAR OLD BEING COVERED WITH MONEY
DPA has just stopped an attempt to bury the case of the rape of a 5-year old girl in kindergarten in Awka, Anambra State.
Yesterday, DPA got involved in the investigation of a rape case involving a 5-year old girl. We got the wind that the father of the girl was offered 100k by the owners of the kindergaton where the incident occurred in order for him to bury the case. I warned the man not to accept the money, but to work with DPA to ensure the arrest of the rapist.
At the same time, DPA dispatched a team of investigators to the crime scene. Our investigators swooped in on them as they were exchanging money to cover up the case. They even wrote up an agreement to close the case . DPA operatives took pictures of their illegal agreement and pictures of them exchanging money.
We shall now be seeking the arrest and prosecution of all those involved in this macabre deal. We have the picture of the girl and her father and the owner of the kindergarten handing over money to him.
DPA is going to crack down on all those who harm innocent children in this country. The rape of a 5- year old and the use of money to cover it up are crimes we must fight against. I will be heading from Abuja straight to Anambra State where I intend to meet with the Governor over this case.
NOTE:
Point of clarification. We knew they made the offer of money. We needed the evidence. So DPA set up the plan to capture the evidence of their plan. We needed those who made the offer to put it in writing to remove their plan from the point of deniability.
When it is safe to do So, I may reveal the names of the DPA operatives who carried out this operation, Operation Young Shall Grow.
38-year-old Ajibade Rasheed who was caught with fresh human head, vagina and many other parts in Osogbo, capital of Osun State has disclosed that he planned to use them for money ritual after the ongoing Ramadan ends.
Ajibade, an indigene of Ikirun in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State was caught with a fresh head of a woman, intestine, lung, vagina, liver and a bottle containing blood during a stop and search operation by the police in Osogbo in his car with registration no: LSD 987 DJ.
The man who says he’s an Alfa and said he was also a herbalist was arrested in an SUV, which he said belonged to his elder brother. The gory human parts were found inside a small sack he kept in the vehicle.
Speaking with journalists at the Osun State Police Command headquarters, the suspect said he was not the one who butchered the victim but his client, who wanted the money ritual.
Ajibade said the client, who is also an Alfa and specialised in healing mentally challenged persons, simply brought the human parts to him and left.
He stated that he had intended to preserve the human parts until after the Ramadan when he would be free to use the parts for the ritual.
He, however, said the client, who he identified simply as Olorungbebe did not want the kind of ritual, which would bring small amounts of money but the one which would banish poverty from his life.
He said,
“I am an Alfa and a herbalist. There is a man, who is also an Alfa; he came to my place and told me that he wanted to do money ritual. I told him that getting the materials needed for the ritual would be difficult but he agreed to bring the materials by himself.
“So, the man came on Wednesday morning from Aagba town with the human parts for the ritual. The body parts he brought are fresh human head, hands, inner parts and vagina. I did not know that he would bring the materials that morning.
“I told him that we are in the Ramadan period and he should wait till after Ramadan before I could do it. This is my first time of doing this kind of money ritual although I do other ones but not this type.
“The man told me he wanted to do money ritual and I told him the difficulty in finding the materials and he told me that he would get them and he did.
I am a Muslim and I’m fasting also even when he brought the human parts I told him that this is not the time for such ‘work’.
“The man told me the situations of things in his life and pleaded with me to help him to do it. He did not want the kind of money rituals, which would not bring huge amount of money. He wanted the kind of ritual which brings huge amount of money.”
The interview session with journalists abruptly ended when the policemen, who arrested him asked him to pour the content of the bag on the ground for everybody to see.
Despite wearing nose masks, most police officers present and journalists started retching while few other actually threw up due to the stench which oozed out of the sack.
The head was still dripping blood but the liver and the lungs were already decaying.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Finihan Adeoye, said the police would ensure that Olorungbebe was apprehended and the identity of the female victim was revealed.
Adeoye said,
“We will surely arrest his partner. We want to know how he got those humans parts, where he got them from and the identity of the victim.”
