Apparently, she summarized the story, and it was met with mixed reactions, with many calling her story false… Now, Ann has released the full details of what went down with the Uber Driver during her trip on her Instagram.

Hi my name is jossyann, a dance artist and a student of university of Lagos. I have been using uber for 2years now and I have never had such a devastating experience before. My initial story was a summary, here is the full version.

On the 28 of June 2017, I started a trip with Mr Oluwatobi (an uber driver) at 7:57pm at Isolo; my initial destination was Gbagada, but I changed my trip to Omole phase 1 which was ok by the driver.

My battery was low so I sat in front to charge my phone. I noticed the driver was chatty and I stopped responding when he got personal. At some point I noticed he was passing through dark and unfamiliar streets and I asked where we were and he said Bariga. I got worried and asked him why, he said he wanted to buy me food because he liked me. I declined and asked him to either drop me at my destination or I come down.

He continued driving, he then said he was tipsy and horny that I should cooperate. I started making calls to friends to come to my aid because I was confused and afraid. He drove off through Yaba to different locations I was not familiar with (as shown on the map).

He persisted that he won’t let me go until he had his way. I called my boss (director) to speak to him on speaker phone; he did and he advised him to take me to my destination in order to avoid problems; this infuriated the driver. I threatened to call the police, after which he started driving fast and dangerously, at this point I was afraid for my life. He was driving around town totally off my route still trying to convince me to oblige.

At some point in Ikeja he refused to stop at a police check at this point I started crying, praying, making calls and my boss called again and this time he was able to convince him to do the right thing or else he will be prosecuted. Thankfully this time he took me to my destination.

A journey of 30mins became the scariest 3hours of my life. I am grateful to God that I came out unharmed . I will like to make some clarifications,

1: On that night I was wearing a big shirt, jeans face cap and snickers ( the costumes I wear in my dance videos are for studio work only and that’s not how I dress in public).

2: I have been dancing since age 5 and have worked with many reputable brands and , so the purpose of this write up is not to seek attention but for uber to call the driver to order and for others to learn from it. I am also aware of the legal implications of peddling false accusations; so I challenge the individual to refute my claims.

3: At different stages in my ordeal, I tried to figure a way out but wasn’t sure of his mental state and if any aggressive attempt to exit the vehicle might complicate the situation, for example his refusal to stop at the police check or to talk to anyone when he claimed he was lost

4: Although, there was no physical assault on me, I was compelled to stay in the vehicle against my will for 3 hours, with constant persuasions and threats to have “FUN” with him. I was mentally tortured, verbally abused and I believe if not for God’s grace, the barrage of calls and my persistent boss who spoke to him severally, the story might have turned out differently

Again, we have received reports about another Badoo member who was caught very early this morning around 1 a.m., by residents of Igbo-Oluwo, Ikorodu.

This is coming after the Ikorodu community reportedly declared that there’d be “special rite” by traditionalists to apprehended the dreaded members of the notorious gang.

Apparently, the suspect was allegedly seen with another suspect who is now at large. The two suspect reportedly rubbed their bodies with oil, which is a major tactic of their gang who have been terrorizing residents of Ikorodu for long.

The suspect was immediately lychned, paraded and burnt to death around 6.45am, at Jumofak junction.

A 64-year-old woman, Identified as Odeyemi Omolola has been sentenced to 25 years imprisonment, after she was found guilty for attempting to export 1.595 kilogrammes of cocaine to Saudi Arabia.

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, yesterday, sentenced 64-year-old Odeyemi Omolola, who is charged before the court alongside a Lagos socialite, Mrs. Funmilola Ogbuaya, also known as Funmilola Ogundipe, popularly known in social circles as Ariket, to 25 years imprisonment, for attempting to export 1.595 kilogrammes of cocaine to Saudi Arabia.

Trial judge, Justice Hadizat Rabiu-Shagari sentenced the convict, who is also known as Ariyo Monsurat Olabisi, after she changed her plea in an amended five counts of the charge.

The convict was arraigned on three counts charge of conspiracy, unlawful possession of banned drug, and attempt to export the said banned drug to Saudi Arabia.

The Lagos socialite, Ariket, is facing charges bordering on conspiracy, aiding and abetting and procuring of the said banned drug for the convict.

The offences according to the prosecutor, Mr. Abu Ibrahim, are contrary to sections 14(b), 11(b) and 19 of the National Drugs Laws Enforcement Agency Act Cap N30, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

The two accused persons had pleaded not guilty when they were both arraigned before the court, sometimes in May, this year.

However, at the resumed trial of the two accused persons yesterday, the convict, Omolara, through her lawyer, Mr. King Wilson, informed the court of her intention to change her plea, particularly, on count four of the charge, which bothered on attempt to export 1.595 kilograms of Cocaine to Saudi Arabia.

Her request was granted by Justice Rabiu-Shagari, who ordered the charge be read to her again.

Upon the re-read of the charge, the convict pleaded guilty, and the prosecutor urged the court to pronounce her guilty as charged, and to permit him to review the facts of the case against her and to tender exhibits she was arrested with.

Attempt by the convict’s lawyer, Mr. Wilson to convince the court to suspend pronouncement on her sentence failed, as the prosecutor, Mr. Ibrahim urged the court to go ahead and pronounce the sentence, after citing several plethora authorities.

In sentencing the convict, Justice Rabiu-Shagari after listened to the submissions of both parties said, “I have listened carefully of the defendant’s counsel, it’s true that sentence is not for punitive but reformatory and to serve as deterrent to others. Consequently, the convict is hereby sentenced to 25 years imprisonment, starting from when she was first arrested.”

The judge also ordered that the ECOWAS passports and the Egypt Air ticket be forfeited to the Federal government of Nigeria.

A 50-year-old man whose height is that of a healthy five-year-old is currently the toast of villagers and visitors to their tiny Indian village.

As a toddler, there was nothing to distinguish Basori Lal from his peers, and it was only around age five that his family started to notice that he had stopped growing.

However, because they were poor, his family could not seek medical attention to at least know what was wrong with him, and to also see if the situation could be treated.

As reported by MailOnline, Basori was never given a medical diagnosis, and to this day, his relatives have no idea what caused him to be so short.

His 55-year-old elder brother, Gopi Lal, said: “Nobody was able to take him to a doctor. We are poor people, I am a labourer. Where would I take him?”

As Basori grew older, he encountered some tough times and experienced some bullying in his village, but thankfully, those days are past.

He said: “People used to bully me a lot. They used to call me an alien. But that time is gone now. I am the only one who is being loved by the villagers.”

Now, at the age of 50, Basori lives with his brother Gopi and Gopi’s wife, Satia.

The 50-year-old works in a factory with his relatives, and says he enjoys a glass of whiskey every night before bed. He has never married and says he doesn’t want to.
