Residents of the Victoria Garden City faced some serious environmental trauma on Tuesday morning after a downpour that resulted in heavy flooding, hit the community.

Cars were unable to go either in or out – residents once again gave an outcry as they have done each passing year, that poor drainage system in the area is responsible for the recurring flood they experience each time there’s a downpour.

3 Policemen Reported Dead As Armed Robbers Attack Three Banks Outside Bowen University. (Photos)

Three banks located a stone throw away from Bowen University in Iwo, Osun state were on Tuesday the 6th of June, attacked by heavily armed robbers.

According to reports, three policemen were killed in the robbery operation – the hoodlums had reportedly gone straight to the police station in the town and attacked the men on duty before proceeding to where the three banks in the town are located.

According to an eyewitness, explosives were used and the rains concealed the sounds of the gunshots that went on for about an hour. There was pandemonium around the campus of Bowen University.

The armed men carted away large sums of money, vandalized Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). The banks robbed were Skye Bank, Sterling Bank and First bank.

The university was reportedly not attacked.

A resident said that the streets were deserted as robbers and policemen exchanged fire during the operation.

“Armed robbers attacked the banks in Iwo today. They came this evening and first went staring to the police station and attacked their men there. After that, they went to the area where the banks are located and carried out their operation.

They killed three policemen and the police also killed one of the robbers. It is a terrible day here in Iwo. I think the banks were aware that they could be attacked because they have been closing by 12noon for the past two months or thereabout.”

This is very sad, and at the same time something we wouldn’t wish for, for a family member.

A young pretty lady identified as Halima has left her family and friends puzzled after she mysteriously died yesterday.

According to multiple reports, the lady who was in a hospital in the northern part of the country told her friend in a chat that she would die that day because she was feeling somehow.

Moments after the chat with her close friend, Halima gave up the ghost. May her soul rest in peace.

See the chat below. The whatsapp chat was exchanged in Hausa Language, and from what we could translate, the deceased was telling her friend that “She’s afraid she might see her death today”.. and that “Her friend should forgive her”.

A Facebook user, EEdris Afunsho Tayo who described the deceased as a nice guy shared on the School’s page few hours ago.

Two men electrocuted inside a pool while partying in Nairobi (Video)

While partying inside a swimming pool at B club, Diamond Plaza, Nairobi, Kenya over the weekend, two men were electrocuted.

A Facebook user, Kenny Kaburu shared the video while people were trying to save the men in the pool.

He said a live wire inside the swimming pool electrocuted the men while swimming which made them to drown.

They are currently recovering in the hospital because they were luckily rescued alive.

Although, Reports gathered online are that American singer, Omarion performed at the same club the same weekend the incident happened.

However, it is not clear if the incident happened during his show.

Two children have been reportedly dead early this morning as fire razed properties along SDP Road in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.

An eyewitness said, the fire which started in the early hours of today burnt with an uncontrollable speed and force.

Although, security operatives are still investigating as the source of the fire is unknown.

The CTC Chairman of the Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. Sim Emmanuel Hart, accompanied by his Secretary Lady Helen Jack-Wilson Pepple, Supervisors and Advisers of Council were present at the scene to confirm the incident.

CAC Pastor Stabbed To Death, As Hoodlums Invade Church In Lagos.

Pastor Ibukun Adeyinka of Christ Apostolic Church, Sanctuary of Blessing, Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State was stabbed to death by hoodlums who stormed the church.

Reports are that those who killed the pastor did not leave with any property of the church, therefore, the incident can be regarded to as an act of assassination.

The deceased wife, Olasunbo said the hoodlums struck at about 3am on 30th of May adding that they said nothing throughout the time of attack.

She said:

“We were asleep when they entered the church. They came to our house and we didn’t know anything was happening until we heard a sound like something was falling. .

There was a power outage, so we couldn’t see clearly. My husband was the first to wake up. They broke into the house through the front door. They didn’t say anything to us even as we asked what they wanted from us. .

I just heard my husband shouting, ‘In Jesus name’. I also re-echoed it, saying ‘Amen, in Jesus name.’ I never knew they had stabbed him in the chest. They left by scaling the church’s fence. I saw that my husband had become weak. That was when I knew that they had stabbed him. There was a lot of blood in the room.”

“They didn’t take anything. Up till now, I can’t say who they are and why they did what they did.”

A Facebook user, Amah Eze who shared the story claimed that the hoodlums who were absconding took the church as an escape route after a robbery operation.

She wrote:

“He was always ringing a bell at 12 midnight for prayers. So humble that whenever he greeted a small girl like me, he always bowed down. Only for absconding thieves to run into his church while he was praying as usual, and cut him with a machete. That’s how he met his death; but God knows best.”

Rev. Uche Okereke of Assemblies of God church, Iyana Ipaja branch, Lagos State, sues his 19-year-old daughter’s muslim lover, Moruf, to court for impregnating her and making her abandon her family.

The 17-year-old girl, chioma said to her father’s face in court that she was bound by the relationship and was already pregnant for Moruf.

Reports are that Chioma abandoned her education at secondary school level, and started living with Moruf who is a fashion designer and of Muslim Faith in their family house.

However, the police charged and arraigned Moruf before Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo with the alleged offence, where Chioma made the remark in the court room.

The presiding Magistrate, Akeem Fashola declined to take Moruf’s plea and referred them to family court.

The Pastor said they have been dating for about 5 years and had tried to search and bring Chioma back to his house to continue her education but it was to no avail.

He said:

“For the past five years, I have looking for Chioma and did not see her until last week when information got to me where Moruf was hiding her and have changed into Muslim faith.

“She was rescued and Moruf was arrested by the Police and detained at the station.”

Two Nigerian Men Arrested For Abducting Chief Imam On His Way To The Mosque

Operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT), arrested two men for allegedly abducting Chief Imam/Islamic Scholar, Alhaji Jibrin Idris, on February 21.

The suspects, 31-year-old Musa Mohammed and 24-year-old Suleiman Isah from Ankpa, Kogi State, were arrested on 29th of May at Ninth Mile, Enugu State, and Ayinba in Kogi.

They allegedly confessed to be four in the gang, giving the names of others as Bashir and Mangal who are at large.

The police then confirmed that efforts are being made to arrest the two members currently at large.

An Indonesian woman has narrated to the police how she was raped by a Nigerian man who befriended her in Siem Reap province, a resort town in Cambodia.

The provincial police chief of staff, Chea Samoeun said the girl was on a bus trip from Vietnam to Cambodia.

The man, identified by local media as Esin Nyong John, 38 year old from Oron in Akwa Ibom state, arranged to meet her at a bus station.

He promised to bring her to a guesthouse and to show her around the temples after lying to her that he was a Cambodian national.

Instead of taking her to the guesthouse, he brought her to the room he rented and raped her there overnight, Mr Samoeun said. He said the girl did not shout for help because the man threatened to harm to her with a knife if she did not submit.

After the assault, the man fled and left the girl locked in the room. Pov Chendareth, an officer at serious crime office, said police were still questioning the victim.

Esin Nyong John was arrested on June 1 2017 in a PTT petrol station situated in Chongkaosou village, Sok Raam commune, Siem Reap.

Most times people tend to put their Mother, Father, brothers and sisters before their husbands, friends and strangers. Why? Because they are considered family right? But do you know that not everyone that is related by blood is considered family.

My new definition of family is that family member or friend that has my interest at heart, that friend, neighbor, or colleague who calls to check up on me on a regular basis, that friend, neighbor, or colleague who goes out of their way to make me happy.

True life story:

A young girl comes to America at a young age. This young girl is the first surviving child of her widowed mother so it’s been hammered in to her head that she has to work hard to take care of her widowed mom and siblings who are also very young and in school.

This girl is married with kids, secures a minimum wage job in America sends little money to mom and siblings even when it was not convenient for her and her family.

This girl decides to go to school and after four years she graduated and became a Registered Nurse. Damn! Life was good now. She tells her husband it’s time to file for her mom to come to the United States.

Mind you Mom is in her early fifties always sick, always in the hospital, infact Mom is still finding it difficult to cope after her husband’s death. The girl’s husband bluntly refused that her mom wasn’t coming to their house. The girl insisted and went ahead to file for her mom.

Immigration process was a bit slow and she came up with an idea to invite her mom over while the green card was being processed. As luck May have it her mom got a visa to the United States. The girl was so excited; she bought a $3000.00 plane ticket for her mom to come spend Christmas with them. Mind you this was with zero support of the husband.

Mom arrives the United States and boom there’s problem and chaos in the house. Husband and Mom are not getting along. Everyday it is one fight or the other. Husband and wife were at logger heads. Meanwhile this couple had their own issues before but Mom’s present escalated everything.

Before you know it husband had filed for divorce. This girl lost her job, went through a lot of stress. Finally mom went back to Nigeria after 6 months.

Good news, luck shines on this girl and she met the man of her dreams who stood by her and supported her. She gets another job and she bought a ticket for her mom to come visit for another 6 months. Life became good again.

Mom was called for her interview and was issued a green card. This girl gets married and has a baby. Baby was just a few months old mom requested that her daughter pays her salary or she go finds another job outside.

The girl was like mom you need to chill we’re taking care of you, buying you stuffs that you need, sending money to your kids in Nigeria so what’s the problem.

To cut a long story short this girl comes home at 8am one morning after working a night shift only to find out that her Mom has packed all her stuff and moved out of her house leaving her 20 months old child laying in bed by herself in the whole house.

She calls her mom to inquire what happened only for her mom to tell her that she has moved on with her life. That she got a job as a live in Nanny in a different city.

Shocking right?

Now tell me will it be wrong to call Child protective services on such a mom? Will it be wrong to disown such a mom? Will it be wrong to disown siblings or family members who directly or indirectly contributed or instigated such actions?

Tomorrow someone will come and preach the usual forgive and forget BS. Tomorrow someone will come and preach the usual she’s still your mom bullcrap.

90-year old virgin, Miss Agnes Udofia who lives her life caring for other people’s children is set to be immortalized by the people of ikot Udobia village, in the Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Reports are that over 50 women, men and even children gathered around her on Monday to thank God for preserving the life of a woman they all thought was their biological mother.

Mr. Fabian Udoh, A businessman who was trained by the virgin, said since he was a kid, he never saw her with any man in a relationship.

He said:

“She has touched the lives of over 50 children. I have always known her not to have any relationship with any man.

We are proposing a foundation to immortalise her. We all came home today to celebrate her now that she is alive. It will make no meaning celebrating her after death. She gave most of us life and we must celebrate her when she is alive”

St. Pius Catholic Church, Ikot Udobia, also organised another thanksgiving programme for her apart from the lavish reception organised by people who grew up in her care.

She claimed that she never knew any man in her entire life and had never been married, neither did she have a boyfriend when she was young.

She said:

“I was born partially blind and so, no man saw anything good in me. So, I grew up without a man. I have never slept with any man as far as my memory can carry me, not even in my dream.

I live my life the way you see me. No feeling for a man. I don’t see it as abnormal.

I would take care of them until they returned to take their children. I feed them and keep them happy as long as they stay with me.”
