A Kenyan Lawyer met with the shock of his life after he discovered a “used” condom inside a beer he was about to Drink.
For this, He is suing the East African Breweries, makers of Tusker beer to court recently over what he found in the bottle.
He accused the company of negligence and recklessness and then claimed that he was subject to an “everlasting shock” as a result of the disturbing experience he had encountered.
He said:
“There was a party and I had bought five crates of the same brand of beer, several people in attendance were consuming their drinks. After serving them, I picked a bottle, opened it and began drinking. After the first sip, I realised the taste was extremely strange and the following encounter was nauseating because the bottle contained an unwrapped condom.”
“I suffered psychological torture, trauma, mental anguish, excessive sweating, severe headache, abdominal pains, abdominal rumbling and vomiting due to shock and anxiety after taking the beverage containing condom.”
I now claim damages and special damages for the injury, despite the demand and notice of intention to sue having been given, EABL ignored.”
A Nigerian pastor, Oluwadayomisi Epenusi who recently moved to the United State was reportedly shot dead in the country.
The 66-year-old man was shot to death at an apartment close to 10th street and I-465 on the west coast of Indiana.
Neighbors says that the man is an easy going person who is currently working on migrating his family to the US.
According to claims from his neighbors, they said they heard gunshots at His apartment which got their attention.
One of the neighbors, Kristina Teague said:
“I heard about 15 gunshots. It was nuts,”
Teague then called the police but before they arrived, The victim’s roommate, Moshood Kafaru had rushed the bleeding man to the Eskenazi Hospital where he died.
Moshood said:
“He was just a nice person who would go to work and come home and go to church. He didn’t talk to nobody. He never bothered nobody,”
“He was holding a purse. He refused to let it go. They thought he had money in the purse, but he didn’t want to let it go,”
“They just got a visa. That why he was working, so his family can come over here, He was just an innocent man and it just upsets me that he’s gone just like that.”
Moshood also explained that when he was on the way he asked him what happened and why he got shot, but he couldn’t say nothing because he was still in pain.
Moshood believes the violence started as a result of robbery although the police are yet to conclude on the cause of the death.
Teague said:
“It’s really sad because he was here sending money to his family,”

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has terminated a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a consortium of firms to build the Lagos 4th Mainland Bridge which costs a whooping N844 Billion!
The MoU for the 36 km bridge, which two past administrations had promised to do, was signed on 25 May, 2016. Vanguard Reports.
The project was to be financed by Africa Finance Corporation, Access Bank, and other private investors who have already signified intention to be part of the construction, while Visible Assets Limited would be the coordinating firm.
But Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Mr. Adebowale Akinsanya during a ministerial briefing in Alausa, Ikeja area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria cited the slow pace at which the concessionaire was working as the reason behind the termination of the contract.
According to him, “due to slow pace of work, the contract was terminated. We are now looking at many investors, though interest is very high.”
He said that investors had started scouting for the project from different parts of the world, though the state government had not decided on the proposals it had received.
“The state government has started the proposals. We have such investors from South Korea, Europe and the United States, among few others. What we are doing now is vetting the proposals. We do not want to waste any further time. So works are in top progress on the 4th Mainland Bridge.
“The investors would be named very soon, the state government will enter into concession agreement with appropriate investors that deliver the project,” he said.
On the Airport road project, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infratructure, Engr. Temidayo Erinle said the state government was yet to obtain the federal government’s approval.
The Ekiti State Government has finally reacted to the controversies surrounding the repatriation of Moji Olaiya’s corpse back to Nigeria.
They described the online publications that claims the State Governor, Ayodele Fayose promised to fund the movement of her corpse back to Nigeria as fals, saying, “No official request has been made to the government in respect of the burial.”
The Special Assistant to the State Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, who made this known in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Monday, described as irresponsible, the comment made by a certain Olukayode Salako, claiming that Governor Fayose declined request to assist with the flying of Moji Olaiya’s corpse to Nigeria.
While maintaining that there was no official communication between the governor and Moji Olaiya’s family on the issue of assistance, Olayinka disclosed that:
“On Thursday, last week, I was contacted by phone by a journalist friend, Yomi Fabiyi on the need for the Ekiti State Government to assist in raising a sum of $15,000 needed to bring Moji Olaiya’s corpse to Nigeria.
“My immediate response was that an official request, via a letter, should be made and that the letter will be presented to the governor. I gave him my email address to which I said the letter should be sent.
“On Friday, I informed the Chief of Staff to the governor, Chief Dipo Anisulowo of my telephone conversation with Yomi Fabiyi, and my response that official letter should be written to the governor.
“Up till today, the letter has not been sent and as such, no official request has been made to the State Government.
“When my attention was drawn to online publications that Governor Fayose had elected to fund the flying of the deceased corpse to Nigeria, I called the journalist who did the report and told him pointedly that no such decision was taken by the governor.
“It was on the strength of this that Mr Yomi Fabiyi issued a press statement on behalf of the Burial Committee, stating that no request had been made to the government of Ekiti State and the official letter requested was yet to be sent.
“It, therefore, beats our imagination that certain character like Olukayode Salako could take to the online media to make derogatory comments on the governor, purportedly on behalf of the family.
“While we condole with the Olaiya family of Ijesha Isu Ekiti, Moji Olaiya’s friends, fans and colleagues in the movie industry, we wish to advise that the family should saddle only responsible people with the task of according their daughter a befitting burial.”

South African doctors from the Stellenbosch University have performed its second successful penis transplant operation in the country.
According to Times Live, the man who underwent the surgery is being kept anonymous for ethical reasons, and he’s a 40-year-old who has been without a penis for 17 years after a botched traditional circumcision.
In a statement released by Professor Andre Van der Merwe‚ Head of the Division of Urology at Stellenbosch University at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, he said the patient:
“is certainly one of the happiest patients we have seen in our ward. He is doing remarkably well. There are no signs of rejection and all the reconnected structures seem to be healing well.”
According to him, the patient is expected to regain full use of his penis within six months of the transplant.
The first ever penis transplant was done in 2014 and it’s also the world’s first successful penile transplant which was also performed by Van der Merwe and his team at Tygerberg Hospital on December 11, 2014.
‘About two years later, the patient is doing extremely well, both physically and mentally”, Van der Merwe said.
‘He is living a normal life. His urinary and sexual functions have returned to normal, and he has virtually forgotten that he had a transplant,’ he added.

An excited reader, Ebuka Ngige has shared with us his JAMB Results, where he aced it totally. He scored a total of 315 marks in the just concluded JAMB exam which ended on Saturday, 20th of May.
Ebuka revealed to us that he wrote his First JAMB exam when he was 14.. and scored a total of 280 marks.. But he couldn’t get admission to study his dream course, Medicine, at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, because he wasn’t of age.
But now, that he’s of age, he completely aced his exam, having a total of 315 marks! Ebuka is just 15 years.. He’d turn 16 on the 4th of October.

Dunni Coker which was played by Adesua Etomi in the Wedding Party movie was earlier reported to be pregnant in the Movie.
Now, Dunni has given birth to twins.. This is part of the plot in the movie, which focuses on her marital journet with her husband, Dozie Onwuka, played by singer, Banky W.
A leak from the movie shoot as seen above shows Dozie and Dunni both carrying each of the pair of twin babies in the hospital.
In reality, Banky W and Adesua Etomi are currently engaged and expected to get married later this year.
The police in Rivers State have arrested one Richard Inimgba, for killing his seven-year-old son over alleged stealing.
The suspect, a resident of Amadi-Ama in Port Harcourt, had accused his son, George Inimgba, of stealing N3,200 on Friday and reportedly used a cutlass to inflict cuts on the victim after beating him up with a plank.
George was found dead the following morning.
PUNCH Metro gathered that George’s stepmother, Blessing Inimgba, was also arrested by the police for failing to rescue the boy.
It was learnt that Richard had wanted to keep George’s death a secret, but for a carpenter who raised the alarm on sighting the injuries on the boy.
Richard was said to have secretly invited the carpenter into his apartment to prepare a coffin for his burial.
Some neighbours and relatives of 39-year-old Richard, popularly known as Oyinbo, told one of our correspondents that he had been maltreating the boy since he sent his mother packing six years ago.
The wife of Richard’s elder brother, who simply identified herself as K.K., said George requested water at the point of death, but the father continued the beating.
She said the boy’s attempts to explain that he used part of the money to feed himself because he was hungry fell on deaf ears.
She said,
“He beat the boy for about two hours. My husband was not around. The boy was crying and saying, ‘Daddy, give me water, I cannot walk again.’
“The boy was saying ‘Sorry Daddy’ and the man continued to ask, ‘Where is the money?’ But the boy said he was hungry and used the money to buy bread. He accused the son of stealing N3,200 from him overtime.
“The boy was always hungry and if he came to my house to eat, the stepmother would report him to the father.
“He went to his church to tell the pastor that his child was dead without explaining what led to the little boy’s death. It was when the carpenter raised the alarm that the neighbours knew that he had killed his son.
“There were machete cuts on George’s body. Some angry boys came out and gave Oyinbo the beating of his life before a team of mobile policemen arrested him and his wife.”
A neighbour, who did not want her name mentioned, said Richard was arrested last year after he burnt George’s hand in the stove.
She said, “He was arrested, detained for three days and was made to write an undertaking. It was at that point that the boy started going to school for the first time.”
A psychologist, Sri George, who first shared the story on Instagram, said he had met with George on the street on Tuesday as people rallied round him after he was caught stealing a snack on the way to school.
He wrote,
“What a cruel world. Last Tuesday, between the hours of 8am to 9am, I saw a crowd of people around my vicinity gathered around this little boy. So, I stopped by and inquired what happened.
“They told me that this little boy on his way to school, stole a doughnut from a shop.
“The people whom he stole the doughnut from even gave him more of it and a bottle of drink and asked him to go.
“They all claimed that his father and stepmother have the habit of starving and beating him up on a daily basis. I saw so many scars on his body.
“I took the boy to my house, interviewed him, and he told me how he had been suffering since his mother left his father.
“I gave him some biscuits, asked him to come and eat at my place anytime and promised to see his father this week before he left for school, only to learn this morning (Saturday) that his father has beaten him to death.”
The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said the matter was being investigated, adding that the man and the wife were in police custody.
Veteran Yoruba Actor, Saidi Balogun turned 50 of recent and he planned to throw a 4-day celebration starting from today, May 22 up until 25th of May, 2017.

A Zimbabwean pastor has claimed to have called God over the phone during his Church Service. In a video posted on YouTube, the pastor was videod “talking to God” over his cellphone while his congregation cheered him on in the background.
He called a woman from the crowd to come and receive a message from God.

A businessman in Yobe state, identified as Mohammed Yakubu Jacob, has married off 50 young girls to their prospective suitors in Yobe state. The marriage ceremony took place in Gashua town in the state yesterday, May 21st, 2017.
According to reports, Jacob organized the wedding for the girls who are too poor to organize a wedding themselves. Most of the girls were children of Internally Displaced Parents.
This isn’t the first time Jacob would be organizing a wedding in this manner. Sometime in April, he organized a wedding for 40 girls with poor suitors.
On why he organized the recent wedding,the businessman said he got inundated by calls from the girls after they found out about the previous weddings he organized for other people.
