Nigerian investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has made fresh allegations amid the ongoing investigation into the death of 27-year-old Nigerian singer Mohbad.

In a post shared on the microblogging platform X, Kemi shared some of the findings from her personal investigation into the mystery surrounding Mohbad’s death.

She had earlier claimed that Mohbad’s wife cheated on him with all the men in the Marlian Music record label, including Naira Marley and Sam Larry.

In a follow-up post, she stated that Sam Larry is the alleged father of Mohbad’s five-month-old son, Liam, and claimed that a DNA test was conducted in Dubai, with Naira Marley having the result.

She also alleged that celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest sent N4 million to Mohbad’s father a few days before his death, according to a purported UBA bank record, and questioned why he is keeping silent about it.

Kemi, who is known for her controversial takes on celebrity issues, also raised other questions about the singer’s death, adding that she has shared her findings with the police.

The reality personality who was a recent guest on Pulse’s One On One, hosted by BBNaija’s, Christy O, claimed that Ilebaye’s victory as the ultimate Head of House proves that the odds are in her favour.

According to Whitemoney, whether or not Ilebaye receives the ultimate prize, it is still her moment.

Popular social commentator, VeryDarkman has shared his theories as to why Mohbad’s wife is his top suspect in the singer’s murder.

Mohbad’s death has been the subject of ongoing controversy, and although the police have started an autopsy, it is unknown what caused it.

In the video he posted online, he pointed out how the mother of one had made posts following her husband’s passing that had nothing to do with his death.

He continued by pointing out that Wunmi always made an effort to personalise her posts, making it seem as though the singer’s passing didn’t concern her at all.

He noted Wunmi’s use of the ‘ni.g.ga’ pronoun to describe her recently dead spouse as being out of the ordinary for a grieving widow.

Sensational Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has shared how he made his first million as a gift from a fan.

The singer claimed that after receiving one million naira in cash at a time when he had never seen N10,000, he couldn’t sleep.

Dakolo made the disclosure in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. He said the “good Samaritan” had seen him on television while he was competing in the first Idols West Africa in 2007.

Dakolo said;

“There was somebody that gave me N1m from nowhere. I had never seen N10,000 before. The money I used to have then was always N1,300, N800, N1,200, and N520. And somebody gave me N1m cash. Renowned Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo has revealed that he was senior to prominent professional actor, Pete Edochie, in the domestic movie industry, Nollywood.

Kanayo made the assertion in a recent interview where he discussed the history of the business.

The 61-year-old actor acknowledged that Edochie produced the first motion picture, “Things Fall Apart,” but pointed out that he had been working in Nollywood for four years prior to Edochie’s debut.

He said;

“I cannot be written off the history or the story when it is told of Nollywood. You can’t take it away that Kenneth Nnebue made the first professionally made home video in 1992.

You can’t take it away from those who took part in ‘Living in Bondage’, just like you can’t take it away from the fact that ‘Things Fall Apart’ which Pete Edochie took part in was not a home video. It was a cinema.

So if you write a story now and say Pete Edochie is older than me in Nollywood, I will contest it because he came four years after. So in Nollywood I’m his senior. It is not a matter of biological age.

So, when it comes to cinema, of course, then you start going to Baba Hubert Ogunde in 1940s or 1950s. This is history. History has no romanticism.”

“Mohbad was brought into our hospital dead” – Perez Medcare Hospital

Perez Medcare Hospital, the medical institution where the late singer, Mohbad was rushed to, which allegedly declared him dead, has broken their silence on the case.

According to a statement the hospital posted on its Instagram page, Mohbad was brought into their facility on Tuesday, September 12, at around 4.30 p.m. with no signs of life.

Their medical workers leapt into action as soon as Mohbad was brought in and, after an examination, found that he had no heartbeat, no central or peripheral pulse, and no discernible vital signs, as well as fixed and dilated pupils.

His body was already stiffening in some areas, according to the hospital.

The hospital claimed that when they inquired about the singer’s treatment at home, they learned that a nurse had given him injections there.

The hospital also stated that the companions were instructed to transport Mohbad’s body to the closest general hospital and deposit it in the mortuary.

The statement read,

“The attention of the management of Perez Medcare Hospital has been drawn to the misleading and false information being circulated in some social media platforms that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) died in our medical facility.
We consider it pertinent to put on record that at about 04:30pm on the 12th of September 2023, the lifeless body of Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was brought to our medical facility and our medical team immediately sprang into action and after assessment it was discovered that there was no sign of life, no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no recordable vital signs and his pupils were fixed and dilated. On attempting CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), rigor mortis (stiffening of some parts of the body in relation to death) was observed and the persons who brought him to our facility were informed that it was a case of BID (Brought in dead). Upon enquiry about the circumstances leading to the emergency, our team was informed that the deceased was being treated at home by a nurse and that she administered injections on him. Our team thereafter advised that the body be taken to the nearest Government Hospital where he can be deposited in the morgue.
Let it be known that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was not a patient of Perez Medcare Hospital and was never admitted at our hospital at any material time whatsoever. Also, the nurse who was said to be administering treatment on him at home is not a staff of Perez Medcare Hospital and the video of the medical facility circulating in the media space in which the late Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) is seen alive and receiving treatment is not Perez Medcare Hospital.

We are compelled to issue this statement to set the records straight and correct the wrong and false misinformation being circulated about Perez Medcare Hospital. We urge everyone to desist from spreading false information and be mindful of the sensitivity of this matter.
While we express our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased Mr.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad), we also lend our voice to the call for thorough investigation into the circumstances of his sudden death.

Popular Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has strongly criticized clergyman Pastor Tunde Bakare for his reaction to the death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad.

Recall that during a sermon in Leicester, United Kingdom, on Sunday, September 24, 2023, the clergy stated that the late singer may have died as a consequence of his actions while alive.

He asserted that when the late singer was drinking, smoking, and associating with evil people while he was alive, he didn’t realise that the ‘harvest’ would come so soon.

Taking to her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh advised the pastor to keep the same energy with his corrupted colleagues, who had been accused of all sorts.

According to her, he has never criticized his colleagues so it was wrong of him to make such comments about the young man who passed away tragically.

This comes after she was evicted from the ‘All Stars’ edition of the Big Brother Naija show just before the final week.

In the trending clip, the 23-year-old star, who was a student of Marywood Girls College Lagos, was seen in her school uniform and sporting an afro while singing a rendition of Westlife’s “You Raise Me Up.”

The video, reportedly taken in 2016, has garnered attention on social media, with many asserting that Angel didn’t lie about her age if she was still in secondary school in 2016.

Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has expressed his opinion that Nigeria does not have the best women in the world.

The ‘Bounce’ crooner made this statement during a recent interview with Beat FM. According to him, there are good girls in Nigeria, but they are not the best.

When asked about the country with the best women, he declined to respond, seemingly to avoid potential criticism from Nigerians.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, September 23, Wunmi disclosed that one of the women who called to ‘sympathize’ with her stated that it is a shame that she didn’t give her father a grandchild before he died.

She said another woman told her to stop crying over her father’s death at his funeral and instead focus on finding a husband and bearing children.

PCOS is a common condition that affects a woman’s hormone levels, causing irregular menstrual periods, excess hair growth, acne, and infertility, according to Cleveland Clinic.

Juliana shared her struggles in a recent video she posted on her YouTube channel. According to her, she bled continuously for four months during her battle with the ailment.

She also disclosed that she had Psoriasis, which is a chronic condition that causes symptoms such as scaly, dry, or itchy skin.

However, she stated that when she had had enough of the health complications, she decided to stop medications and take control of her health by combining her faith, prayer, and lifestyle changes. Fortunately, both ailments stopped.

A show promoter based in Canada, Prince George, has revealed that popular Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as Mohbad, passed away on the day his Canadian visa was approved.

George made this revelation during a candlelight procession organized by Nigerians in Toronto, Canada, in honor of the deceased singer on Saturday night, September 23.

According to him, he had planned to surprise the late singer’s friend, Bella Shmurda, by bringing him to his show in Canada. Sadly, the singer died under strange circumstances on September 12.

The 23-year-old star was evicted alongside Soma and Venita during the Sunday live eviction show on September 24.

It’s worth noting that she developed a special bond with Soma, who was a housemate in the “See Gobe” season in 2017 before reappearing in the “All Stars” edition.

What makes this more intriguing is that they both had partners outside the house before deciding to pursue a romantic relationship inside the house.

So, after her eviction, the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, questioned her about her choice between the two men in her life. This followed his earlier question to Soma, who had chosen Angel without any hesitation.

A Kenyan woman identified as Gesare Chife has taken to social media to recount her fond memories of meeting American R&B star Brandy on a plane.

The mother, who is married to a Nigerian, stated that Brandy was once on a plane with her when she was travelling with her two toddlers and a baby.

Given the difficulty of managing the three children during the lengthy flight, according to Gesare, Brandy assisted her in babysitting the last child.

A woman who identifies as the sister of late singer, Mohbad’s mother has opened up about the relationship between Mohbad and his mother before he died.

Recall that the mother has faced criticism for allegedly abandoning him while he was little and now being the one visited and consoled by dignitaries.

In her explanation of how he was split from her, Mohbad’s aunt clarifies the rumour that his mother abandoned him when he was a little child.

She revealed that after their separation, the couple divided up the three kids among themselves, and she only kept the last child she could take care of.

The mother of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has revealed that she didn’t disclose her identity as his mother because her son was afraid that she might be harmed.

She opened up about their relationship during a recent interview with TVC, amidst the controversy surrounding claims that she allegedly left the singer and his sister for 15 years, yet is the one receiving sympathy messages and visits from dignitaries, while the father who raised him is facing criticism.

She explained that she lived with her son for ten days before his tragic passing and shared how he took good care of her and always wanted to have her around.

“I don’t tell people I’m Mohbad’s mother, because he was scared I might get kidnapped or killed

“I’ve spent just five months in the new house he rented for me, he even visited me 3 times. He took me out of where I was living before to Ikorodu, he said he wanted to be visiting me from time to time.

“He just rented a huge space comprising of 3 shops for me. I’m yet to open it. He gave me money that I used to buy 2 big freezers and a big generator. The day he died, he promised to send N5 million so I can buy goods to stock up.

“His wife said she’ll come and meet me, that I should get someone that will support me because we cannot buy the goods at once, that it will take us 3 days to buy all the goods.

“But now I’m scared, I can’t go back to Ikorodu, I called someone to help me rent the shop out and give me the money. My son did not enjoy himself, he lived in fear. He did not enjoy himself.

“Whenever I visit him here, he sits right there and I’ll sit with him, then take him upstairs to sleep but he’ll be shaking his head. I even thought all those problems and attacks had stopped, but when they beat him again recently after he dropped his EP, I said these people haven’t left you, and he usually went to the police station to report, because I witnessed it twice.

“I spent 10 days with him, I did not know he was going to die. I left on Saturday and he died on Monday. And the reason I left on Saturday was because he had a show, he begged, begged, and begged me not to leave. So I told him that won’t he allow me to go to church on Sunday, that I’ve missed church for two weeks and I needed to go and pray because I’m losing myself. It was the church that I mentioned that made him let me go.

“Because him and his wife were pranking me, I told him that I was going, but because he didn’t want me to go, he delayed giving me my feeding money because he knows I’ll leave if he gives me the money. Normally, he gives me feeding allowance every month.”

Popular Nollywood actresses and old-time friends, Uche Jombo has criticized the Nigerians who, after experiencing Mohbad’s candlelight procession on September 21, stayed at the Lekki Toll Gate.

The candlelight vigil was organized to commemorate the late singer’s life and work.

According to reports, the Nigerian police used tear gas to disperse the crowd after originally asking that people leave peacefully.

Uche Jombo expressed her concerns about those who stayed at the toll gate after the event was over on her Twitter account.

Recall that following the singer’s death on Tuesday, September 12, his long-term partner, Wunmi, revealed that they were married with a child before his passing.

This revelation surprised many because the singer had led a private life and kept his personal affairs off the internet until his death.

Amid the controversy surrounding the cause of his death, some netizens, led by controversial social media commentator Very Dark Man, have demanded a DNA test be conducted after the singer’s corpse is exhumed to establish the paternity of his son.

According to Very Dark Man, his wife is also a suspect until proven innocent, and thus, a DNA test should be carried out to demonstrate that she had no motive to harm the singer.

In response to this, Mary Njoku took to her Instagram page to criticize those advocating for a DNA test, describing their request as ‘evil.’

She asserted that the late singer’s wife is still mourning the death of her husband, who was her provider and protector, and should be allowed to grieve in peace.
