Why I won’t talk about my pain online – Korede Bello

Nigerian singer, Korede Bello has given reassurance that he is doing well to his supporters, who might be anxious about him.

After hearing his verse on Mr. Eazi’s song, a fan going by the name of Blessing Olaoye voiced concern for his wellbeing on the microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter).

Korede had already discussed the difficult decisions he had to make in terms of his profession, saying,

“At a certain point in my life, I asked myself, “Korede, what matters most to you?” Is it the money? Fame? or the name?

After giving it some thought, I realized that I could point to so many people who had or have all of these things but never truly experience peace of mind or peace that truly lasts.

So I prayed for PEACE above all else and that’s exactly what I’ve been experiencing in these years. The outside world may think I disappeared, but in my inside world, it is the worries and fears that have disappeared.”

Speaking on the song, Blessing tweeted; “I hope Korede Bello is fine. Man spoke his mind in the song jejely ft Mr. Eazi.”

In response, Korede, who gave up music to concentrate on his education, claimed that while he is fine, even if he weren’t, he wouldn’t post about his suffering on social media to prevent it from being used as entertainment.

“I am well, but even if I am not, I will not be on the Internet talking about it because I wouldn’t want people to consume my pain as entertainment. Beauty & Bliss, Thank you 💌” the singer wrote.

“You have no business with marriage if you’re not man enough to pay all bills” – UK-based Nigerian woman declares

A Nigerian nurse who works in the UK has challenged the idea of a guy splitting expenses with his partner.

She declared that she adheres to the long-standing custom that a man should provide for his family as the head of the household.

According to the lady identified as Nursemj, any man who is not strong enough to provide for a family should not be considering marriage,

However, she went on to say that, in her opinion, a couple or soon-to-be couple needs to have an early talk about how to split expenses.

She stated that the majority of African men dislike the idea of dividing expenses, but exposure to other cultures abroad is changing them.

She said that a wife should have the freedom to choose whether or not to support her spouse; it should not be required.

She wrote;

“This splitting bills is a very important discussion!!! It should come earlier in dating… I personally I’m 100% against any woman splitting bills with any man! I don’t care the percentage! It will never make sense to me… Yes it’s reasonable to support the family where necessary!

But splitting bills???? like giving me a percentage to cover is BS! & I’m 100% not doing that! If you’re not MAN enough to take care of a Family you have no business getting married! I’m not a feminist btw… so I believe in “Man is the head of the family”. Be a man! Period.

“Most African never liked the idea of splitting bills with their wife, they found it ridiculous, but small years abroad, they start copying other people’s culture. I’m not saying as a woman don’t support your home/partner…

I’m saying it should be optional not mandatory.. & most reasonable women will always support their partner… I’ve heard women from other culture love African men because they provide and don’t expect them to split bills… that doesn’t mean they don’t support the men.”

Today, the same woman is living in an apartment in a major Estate in Lekki, Lagos, courtesy of the child she abandoned for 15 years!
Meanwhile, the daughter she abandoned alongside MOHBAD had to learn TAILORING and has no shop of her own up till today. She is doing her tailoring in her father’s house.

Prior to Mohbad’s death, Zinoleesky’s Instagram bio did not feature the name of any record label. However, in a new update, the 27-year-old singer has added “Zinonymous Sounds” to his bio.

Although it has not been officially confirmed that he has parted ways with Marlian Music, there are speculations that his choice to promote his personal brand, ‘Zinonymous Sounds,’ is influenced by the backlash that Marlian Music is currently facing on the internet.

Bustamante was shot dead alongside his 20-year-old daughter and a security guard on Wednesday, September 13, while at a car wash in Mocache.

According to reports, the deceased used to regularly visit the same car wash, which made it easy for his assailants to plot his assassination.

During his funeral, members of his cartel were captured on video placing an array of firearms inside his casket, as shared by an unnamed attendee.

These firearms included pistols, shotguns, rifles, and various other weaponry, with the intention of ensuring that he would be “armed to the teeth in the afterlife and could defend himself.”

Someone then placed a hat on the deceased’s head as a finishing touch before closing the casket and lowering him into the earth.

The Association of Resident Doctors made this sad revelation in a letter dated September 19, which was addressed to LUTH’s chief medical director.

The letter reads in part,

“We the house officers are in deep grief over the loss of our colleague, a co-House officer (Dr Umoh Michael) who died on 17th September, 2023, after having a 72hrs call in Neurosurgery Unit. He is said to have been on call 72hrs before arriving home on Sunday morning to get set for church service, reaching his worship center (United Evangelical Church) where he slumped in the church at about 11am.

His roommate attested to the fact that Umoh Michael has barely slept in their apartment over the past one week as he was always on call or the day he returns home is around 3am after surgeries and other activities in Neurosurgery Unit.”

They demanded that “house officers who did call the previous day, should be allowed either half day the next day or allowed to resume work by midday the following day” and that “house officers should not be made to work 48hrs at stretch.”

“The compulsory House check at the beginning of House job should be free or grossly subsidized for House officers. Our senior colleagues (senior registers and registrars) should make the work environmentally friendly for us; House officers should not do work of potters, nurses or patient relatives,” the letter added.

He took to his Instagram page to criticize Nigerians for bullying him when he married his second wife Judy Austin, suggesting that the abuse could have driven him to death.

Yul further mentioned that Rita, his uncle’s wife, had not reached out to him since he lost his son, Kambili, but instead uses his marriage to Judy to chase clout online.

In response, Rita took to her Instagram page to express how Yul’s statement moved her to tears. She further explained that she has not addressed him personally because he is not himself.

“This particular line made tears drip 😭😭😭😭😭 from my eyes, especially the word “my own” (even my own aunty has not called me on the phone for one day to ask me what happened).

Good thing you still regard me as your own aunty. But I will not say anything on this for now. Also, saying that I am using your name and matter as a traffic medium on my page, how hilarious can this be 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂??? But I will still not say anything because I am happy you know me too well.

My dear son, you are not the subject matter, and that is the reason I don’t talk about you because I know you are not yourself anymore. But you will surely get back to whom you used to be, whether Drama Devil (Judy Austin) likes it or not. There are no doubts.

You are being caged/bottled by your so-called wife, whom you picked, not knowing when and how you did.

The subject matter is the so-called wife we woke up one morning to hear you picked, and until she releases you, she will still remain my subject matter. And the sooner she opens this bottle and breaks into pieces, so you can freely return to your humble abode, the better for we all in entirety.

Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known as Ruger, has revealed that, despite his controversial performances, his team always checks the age of any lady before bringing her on stage.

The talented young artiste spoke about this in a recent interview on the Zero Conditions podcast.

According to him, before he dances with anyone on stage during his shows, his team always makes sure they confirm that they are over the age of 21 and he asks for consent before the dance.

He added that other Nigerian artistes called out ladies to dance with but people only seemed to have an issue when he did it.

In his words,

“First of all, I’m not the first to do it; lots of artiste do it and they’ll not come for them but maybe because it’s Ruger, they’ll now come for me. But on stage, before I bring any girl on stage, my team checks their ID to make sure they are over 21. If you’re 18 or 19, you’re not climbing that stage. And I ask them openly on stage, ‘Are you ready?’ and they say yes, and they are eager to. I stand and they come to me but I feel like people just want to talk, maybe because it’s me.”

Reno pointed out that Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is actively working to get justice for Mohbad, while GRV and Obi have remained conspicuously absent.

He added that during the election, both politicians were quick to respond to tragic events but have failed to utilize their platforms to advocate for justice for the deceased 27-year-old singer.

 Reno Omokri ask

His post reads;

“No matter what you say about Governor Sanwoolu, at least he is working with the Lagos State Police Command to get justice for MohBad. His office and staff are facilitating the investigation. Where is Gbadebo Rhodes Vivor in all of these? If a dog had given birth to puppies during the campaign period, GRV and Peter Obi would have gone there with prominent Obidients to celebrate with the dog. Did they not visit Akere Spare Parts Market and donate money to victims? Did GRV not visit hospitals? Did he not go to churches to shake hands and smile? But now that Mohbad needs them, where are they? Election na your mate?

“I heard that Zinoleesky’s car and house were bought in Naira Marley’s name” – ID Cabasa

Nigerian music producer, ID Cabasa has shared a shocking detail about Zinoleesky and the house and car he purchased recently.

He disclosed that a rumor that had reached him claimed that the property and automobile that were purportedly owned by Zinoleesky had actually been purchased in the name of the record label, Marlian Records.

The music producer made this shocking revelation while reacting to the controversial passing of the late musician Mohbad and his troubles with his label.

He questioned why a record company owner would wish to prevent musicians from living their lives, as if they weren’t just human beings with needs of their own.

He said,

“I started hearing some other stuff coming from that label that even the things that they said they bought for the other guy, the house and the car, were not in that boy’s name. Omo, that is wickedness of the highest order. How long are we going to be here for that we’ll be treating a fellow human being like they are mad? It’s wickedness, like their minds are twisted; their minds are totally twisted, as in wrinkled. The idea behind it is for me, as a record label owner, to make money but also remember that the artist is human.”

“It gave me psychotic illness” – Man files $642M lawsuit against hospital after watching his wife’s C-section

Man files

An Australian man filed a lawsuit against the hospital where he witnessed his wife undergo a cesarean-section delivery in 2018, alleging that it resulted in a “psychotic illness.”

Anil Koppula, the father, initiated the legal action several years after the procedure, asserting that it contributed to the “breakdown of his marriage.”

In the legal documents supporting his case, Mr. Koppula claimed that he was encouraged and allowed to witness the delivery, during which he saw his wife’s internal organs and blood.

Man files

He argued that the hospital had breached its duty of care towards him and should be held liable for damages.

His lawsuit sought damages totaling 1 billion Australian dollars, equivalent to over 642 million US dollars, from the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.

However, the hospital countered that it had not breached its duty of care, and Koppula did not suffer any actual harm due to the observed C-section.

Koppula represented himself in court, but the judge, Justice James Gorton, agreed with the hospital’s position and dismissed the lawsuit, labeling the claim an “abuse of process.”

In other news, On Friday, September 15, 2023, Justice O.A. Egwuatu of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, delivered a verdict of guilt and imposed a one-year prison sentence on Ukoh Michael Odeh. This conviction stemmed from a single count charge of fraud levied against him by the Makurdi Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC, in a statement, revealed that the convict found himself entangled in legal proceedings following an intelligence report received by the Makurdi Zonal Command. This report raised concerns about suspicious activities attributed to individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Makurdi, leading to Odeh’s subsequent apprehension in a sting operation. Popular Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has disclosed the reason behind his choice of stage name, which is his mother’s.

The “Joha” crooner claimed that after being referred to as “Omo Asake” by people in the cultural group he belonged to for a while, he made the decision to utilize that name as his stage name.

People stopped adding the ‘omo’ and left ‘Asake.’ I thought it was cool and decided to go by it. It is very important to me, and I am not going to lose it. It is what has brought me this far, and I continue to keep it that way.”
