A Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, on Wednesday, October 4, issued an order for the remand of singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, better known as Sam Larry, in police custody.
The Lagos State Police Command had filed a request for Naira Marley and the other suspects to be detained for 30 days pending the completion of their investigation into the mysterious death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Nigerian music executive, Don Jazzy, has taken to social media to express his utmost surprise after receiving an invitation to his own wedding, which supposedly took place last weekend.
Apparently, the bride, identified as Gbemisola Jaramat, planned an imaginary wedding with the celebrity and went as far as delivering the invitation card and traditional attire (aso-ebi) to his estate.

Reality TV star, Cynthia Nwadiora, better known as Ceec, has shared why she would not date her fellow housemate, Neo, despite him being her ideal guy.

The Benue State Police Command has dismissed a constable, Belasa Iyangedue, for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl, Nguemo Terkaa, while in detention.
Bartholomew Onyeka, the State Commissioner of Police, confirmed the incident to journalists on Tuesday, October 2, in Markudi.
He revealed that the suspect committed the heinous act at Tse Agbaragba Divisional Police Station, Konshisha LGA.
According to him, the victim had been arrested and detained at the station on August 15th for a defamation offense.
In the middle of the night, the constable allegedly removed her from the cell and took her into one of the offices, where he raped her.
After her release on bail the next day, she reported the incident to the Divisional Police Officer, leading to the arrest of the constable, who is now facing prosecution.
CP Onyeka said,
“The dismissed constable committed the crime at Tse Agbaragba Divisional Police Station, Konshisha LGA.
“The police is a disciplined organ and being the statutory organ responsible for crime and fighting crime and management, such people are not allowed to stay in the system.
“He was not only dismissed, he is facing prosecution.”
The alleged rape incident occurred barely a year after the dismissed constable was celebrated on Facebook by his friends following his passing-out parade, after months of training to join the police force.

A Ugandan politician, Hon. Evelyn Anite, has left many in shock after she revealed the reason she repossessed an ambulance she donated to her district following her election loss in 2021.
Hon. Anite, who is the current State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization in Uganda, confirmed this surprising revelation while responding to a tweet by AfricaFactsZone.
She expressed her gratitude to the popular blog page for raising the issue and admitted that she reclaimed the ambulance because her constituents didn’t vote for her. She further stated that she doesn’t regret her action.

A Nigerian woman has caused drama at her 70th birthday party in the UK after asking some guests to leave the venue.
In a video that went viral over the weekend, the celebrant was seen telling those who did not purchase Asoebi to leave right away.
The obviously irate woman waited until the guests had begun to eat before ordering those without Asoebi to leave.
She continued by stating that they should go right away if they know they want to live to be 70 years old.

Nigerian singer Naira Marley has arrived in the country to assist the authorities with their investigations into the death of the late singer, Mohbad.
Recall that Naira Marley had requested a guarantee of his safety after videos of him directly or indirectly assaulting Mohbad surfaced online.
Naira Marley had offered to help the police with their investigation and prove his innocence if they could assure him that he would be safe from harm.

Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, has revealed shocking details about the relationship Mohbad had with his wife.
Recall that there have been speculations that Mr. Joseph and Mohbad’s mother went their separate ways over 20 years ago, and Mr. Joseph went on to remarry someone else.
Speaking in an interview with BBC pidgin, Mr. Aloba stated that his wife asked him to choose between herself and his son.
The authorities are still investigating the reason for his death, but his father shared information about him and his late son’s stepmother.

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has claimed that Nigerians nearly ruined his career after he punched a police officer.
Recall that in May 2023, a viral video showed him striking an officer in a uniform.
Seun attacked the staff after becoming enraged at the man for damaging the back bumper of the car his family was riding in. As a result, the singer was detained and brought before the Lagos State magistrate’s court.

Reality TV star, Cynthia Nwadiora, better known as Ceec, has taken to social media to celebrate her fellow housemate, Ilebaye, on her victory as the winner of the BBNaija All Stars season.
She posted a photo of Ilebaye holding her N120 million prize check at the presentation ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, on her Instastory and congratulated her.
Ceec, who had high hopes of winning the show, had earlier expressed her disappointment after being eliminated during the finale on Sunday, October 1.
However, for the first time since the show ended, she went online to congratulate the 22-year-old Kogi-born winner.
During the finale, the other finalists— Cross, Pere, Adekunle, and Ceec—were eliminated in that order, leaving only Ilebaye and Mercy.
Ilebaye ultimately emerged as the winner with the highest percentage of votes, 30.08%, while Mercy received 23.48%, CeeC had 23.41%, Adekunle garnered 12.61%, Pere secured 5.82%, and Cross came in at the bottom with 4.60%.
Following their elimination, the bottom housemates were seen watching the live show backstage. When the show host, Ebuka, announced Ilebaye as the winner, they appeared to be unhappy with the outcome.
One of them even mentioned that ‘they’, seemingly referring to the show’s organizers, gave Ilebaye the ‘game.’
Big Brother Naija star,Ike Onyema, has extended an olive branch to his fellow reality TV star, Maria Chike, following their clash over Mercy Eke.
Recall that the duo had an online squabble on Monday, September 18, after Mercy made it to the finale of the “All Stars” edition of the reality TV show.
At the time, Maria took to the microblogging platform X to mock Ike who had earlier stated that he would rather die than watch Mercy win the show again.

Following Mercy’s failure to clinch victory in the just-concluded reality show, Ike went online to tell Maria that he has forgiven her. This comes after Mercy made it to the final two but unfortunately lost to her fellow housemate, Ilebaye.
Ike, who has been attributing Ilebaye’s victory to himself, citing that she gained more fans after he bullied her during his stay in the house, humorously referred to himself as a ‘Queenmaker’.”

Popular Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, has shared some exciting news with her followers on Instagram regarding her pregnancy.

In an interview with South West News Service, Tanatsa Lucas, 30, revealed that she felt a strong connection with the courier, who is now her husband, Corey Lucas, 28, after a brief phone conversation.
“I was doing my nails at the time, and my delivery driver called,” the mom of two remembered. “He was speaking really nicely on the phone and was very respectful.”
“I could tell even being on the phone with him for less than a minute that there was just something different about him,” Tanatsa, a native of Zimbabwe, said.
Corey’s smooth talk over the phone prompted her to shoot her shot at him and ask him out for a drink.
“I asked him if he would mind dropping the package outside my apartment, as I was going to be going out soon,” she said. “Something inside me was telling me to shoot my shot and ask him out.”
“I was newly single. I don’t know what happened, but something just came over me and I just thought, ‘I may as well ask — you never know,’” Tanatsa said.
Barely an hour after Corey delivered her package, Tanatsa sent him a text message that reads, “You single by any chance? Haha.” Fortunately for her, he was also single and ready to mingle.
Tanatsa said she wanted to act like the character Paulette, played by Jennifer Coolidge in “Legally Blonde,” who had a crush on a UPS deliveryman portrayed by actor Bruce Thomas in the 2001 film.
After confirming his relationship status, Tanatsa and Corey went out for a beer at a local bar.
“It went really well; he was saying all the right things. We just totally clicked from our first meeting,” said Tanatsa. “He came back to my apartment, but nothing happened.”
However, things took a massive twist when she got pregnant three months later.
“That was not at all planned,” Tanatsa insisted. “I thought, ‘Oh s–t.’”
She said she was initially worried that her new lover would be upset about the pregnancy but she was relieved when he asked her to marry him.
“It was only six months after our first meet-up, so I was blown away, but I said yes,” Tanatsa gushed.
The couple got married in December 2020. A few months later, in June 2021, they welcomed their first son, Archie, who is now 2 years old. They also welcomed their second son, Theodore, in August 2023.
“We grew to love each other even more after our second baby,” she said. “We still had our challenges, I had post-natal depression after our first baby, but we developed an understanding and are doing great.
“The only difference is before we had kids it was all about us — we now have to balance it out,” added Tanatsa. “We are really hands-on with the kids together; it’s really nice.”
Anita Brown, the American woman who claims to be pregnant for Nigerian singer Davido, has publicly apologized to the singer’s wife, Chioma Adeleke.
This comes weeks after she made derogatory comments about Chioma on social media, stating that Chioma had undergone plastic surgery to achieve her curvaceous body, but it still ended up looking like ‘trash.’
