Nollywood actor, Imeh Bishop Umoh won the Best Actor In A Comedy, at the recently held Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, beating the likes of AY and other comic acts in the category.
He is seen here in this lovely photo with his stunning wife, who obviously is a “few inches ahead” of him but still looks perfect for him!
What’s has height got to do with love?! Absolutely nothing!
Onofiok Luke, Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has reacted to Kemen’s, who is an indigene of the state, disqualification via his official Facebook page.
He says when you are in the spotlight in his town, you need serious prayer to continue thriving. He wrote below:
“I have never really watched the big brother Nigeria,I only follow it activities on the social media. Up until this evening Kemen our son was celebrated online by fans and followers of BBN from our very Akwa Ibom but suddenly,a breaking news of his disqualification from the house and the whole narrative changed and the social Media is now saturated with different stories and versions about Kemen and his disqualification.
Many who before now had celebrated Kemen are in a hurry to crucify him for his mistake(s).
My take here is not to hold brief for Kemen and whatever he might have done to merit his disqualification( which I am yet to know) but to reflect on how difficult it is to be in the spotlight in our clime –the fear of failing,–the fear of making mistakes,–the fear of mockery and the most dreaded of them all –the fear of inua Uyo. We are all humans and are all prone to mistakes but when we are not the affected we engage sanctimonious disposition that tends to confer sainthood.
For Kemen, take solace even in the biblical story of Jesus on His triumphant entry to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday where the song on the lips of everyone was hallelujah, but that song on those same lips changed the following period to a condemnation and shout of crucifixion.
All the same da yong di ke ikot ” idiok owo” ibaha.
When you are on the spotlight in my town you need to pray heavily for the grace of God to preserve you and to lead you not into temptation because anything otherwise mbio usaak owo mkpo eyoyoho Isong. They can make you run and leave town.
Nollywood filmmaker, Niyi Akinmolayan has called out Nigerian actors who give thanks to God during their award speeches, saying the votes are determined by human judges and not God.
The AMVCA 2017 awards had lots of celebrities thanking God for their award, but he feels it’s unnecessary. Read below:
“Nigerians and their obsession with “thanking God” at award ceremonies. That’s a great platform to reach a lot of people and say really important stuff. Why do you think thanking and giving glory to god is the most important thing you can say at an award show determined by votes and human judges. Sigh! Which one is “it can only be God”. It’s a company recognizing great talent and largely protecting their interests too. It’s not god!!!”
Youngest commissioner in the country, Mark Okoye, who is the commissioner for economic planing and budget development making in Anambra state has welcomed a baby boy with his wife.
The proud father took to social media to share the news as he wrote:
‘On March 4, 2017 at 10:19pm, I witnessed my greatest moment of joy. My superwoman and wife, phillipa_mo gave birth to our adorable son, Mark Raluchi Okoye. He weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces with a head full of hair.
Mother and son are healthy, doing well and resting. All glory and thanks to the Most High. A big thank you to family members, friends and colleagues for your support and well wishes.’
Controversial Lagos big boy and club owner, Pretty Mike, was among the guest at Nigerian effeminate, Bobrisky’s house warming party and he for sure put on quite a show as he donned a bathrobe to the event and was flanked by flower girls.
The girls can be seen carrying flower baskets, and dropping the flowers as he walked in – this has us wondering if these girls were the same girls who he masked few months ago while putting them on a leash.
The singer has reacted to housemate, Kemen’s disqualification by justifying his action – according to him, Kemen’s action is nothing since Tboss didn’t shout or complain after she woke up.
He also said that other housemates have done all sorts of things, and as such should also be disqualified. He wrote;
“Bullshit! That girl didn’t shout or complain after she woke up and saw him. Cut me that slack Big Brother. People have done all different kind of things in that house. All of them should be disqualified plus BIG BROTHER himself. This whole game looks staged to me. The only problem now is that Kemen will have a bad name for a long time in this our country Nigeria where we can not find our President, Buhari.’
How sweet is this huh?! The couple be going Kanye and Kim on us! Actress, Funke Akindele’s husband, JJC Skillz helped her arrange her dress as they got ready to take photos on the AMVCA 2017 red carpet.
Obviously, the gentleman took a cue from perfectionist, Kanye West, who is known to make sure his wife is beyond perfect every time they hit the red carpet together.
Here’s are photos of Kanye adjusting Kim’s dress on the red carpet of GQ Men Of The Year Awards in London:
A Nigerian lady on Facebook, Ibiene Bato Martha Williams, in a post of hers, claimed that God hates anal and oral sex – according to her, the Holy Spirt ministered to her that married couples have been erring too when they have sex, as she deliberated on sexual purity for singles.
She claims that any part of the body which was not created as a sex organ, shouldn’t be used for sex. She also says that people who engage in such act, are comfortable with it because they’re yet to allow the Holy Spirit tutor them.
Read what she wrote:
“On Oral and Anal Sex
Romans, chapter 1:24,26,27,28
Yesterday we spent our time justifying the un-justifiable as I laid on my bed reading and taking the notes as the Spirit of God ministered to me.
First, let’s go back to primary school. The mouth is an organ of speech. The mouth is for eating. The tongue is for taste. The anus is for excretion.
Someone asked why I feel Jesus would be watching while a husband and wife copulates and the answer is because His Eyes Is Over Everything And Everyone.
While I was on the message for sexual purity for singles, the Holy Spirit made it clear to me that even the married have been erring in purity too.
Whether we agree or yes, oral sex and anal sex are against nature. The anus and the mouth are not sexual organs. You will argue over it because you’ve not allowed the Holy Spirit to tutor you on sexual purity.
God was not stupid when he made the penis and the vagina in us. Whatever form of sexual pleasure that you seek using your tongue on a woman’s vagina(as a man) and your tongue on a man penis(as a woman) is sin.
It goes the same way for anal sex.
You feel comfortable doing them because you’re yet to let the Holy Spirit tutor you.
Anal and oral sex are acts of sexual deviance.
You know what you’re doing is wrong when you start trying so hard to make a case in favor of it – just as the case was made by majority of us in favor of oral sex.
You’re against anal sex not because it’s scriptural but because it’s painful, right? So, since oral sex doesn’t come with any pain we’re good to go – that is an argument only a carnal minded Christian would come up with.
I’ll end this post with this:
You didn’t learn oral sex and anal sex from the Bible because you didn’t allow the Holy Spirit teach you on those scriptures above.
You don’t put food in your ears, you pass it through your mouth. Why didn’t you argue that they are both body opening?
The tongue is not meant to give you sexual pleasure, it’s meant for taste. The mouth is for speech and for eating. The anus of for excretion.
Galatian 5:16 until we walk in the Spirit, we will keep justifying things that the Holy Spirit is against.”

As they say, Blood is thicker than water and there’s nothing as beautiful as your family – the Adelekes are expressing that fact as they pose for the camera in this family portrait of theirs.
The music star among them, Davido, is photoed alongside his dad, Chief Adedeji Adeleke, and his brothers and sisters.
Alleged lover of Omega Fire Ministries founder, Apostle Suleiman, Stephanie Otobo, who reportedly got dumped after getting pregnant for the Pastor, has debunked the reports made by Sahara Reporters.
Ms. Otobo, who says she’s just a young girl of twenty-three (23) years old, and doesn’t know Barr. Festus Keyamo from anywhere, revealed that some gullible individuals are out to make money from the innocent man of God (Apostle Johnson Suleiman); using her as a bait.
The lady who expressed shock over the media propaganda being championed by Sahara Reporters, said that the #500M claims is such a huge sum to come about. She further revealed that she’s from a broken home, and her separated parents can never dream of pulling just 1% of such an amount in a very long time.
While refuting the allegations made against Apostle Johnson Suleiman by Festus Keyamo on her behalf, Stephanie Otobo is calling on Nigerians of good will to discard the earlier media propaganda by Sahara Reporters and consider same as totally false and untrue.
“Yes, I had an encounter with some officers The Nigeria Police few days back; but I don’t remember making any such ambiguous claims against a reputable man of God in the status of Apostle Johnson Suleiman. Let the man of God alone please” she said.
The photos of some white men enjoying themselves during a visit to Enugu-Ezike community in Enugu state have gone viral online, as the foreigners in the photos can be seen downing a large bowl of traditional food and also drinking palm wine to digest the meal.
They later went on exploring other parts of the area under the supervision of their host. Continue with the photos below:
Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande, former Minister of State for Information, has claimed that he has information suggesting that President Muhammad Buhari could return to Nigeria today March 6, Daily Trust reports.
The newspaper quoted Nakande as saying this during another special prayer session, attended by hundreds of clerics, for the quick recovery of the president that was held on Sunday, March 5 at the Jos Central Mosque
If Nakande’s information is correct, then President Buhari could return today March 6 after over thirty days in the UK.
“From the information I gathered, President Buhari is hale and sound and may come back today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today). All what is needed from us is prayer for the full recovery and God’s guidance for the president to deliver his campaign promises,” Nakande said.
Nakande was also quoted as saying President Buhari has been speaking with different stakeholders, including the leadership of the National Assembly including Senate president, Bukola Saraki, who had visited the Nigerian leader in London and confirmed that he is doing well.
Nakande said Buhari is Nigeria’s saviour from the current economic and political mess that it is in.
“It is only Buhari that can take this nation out of the mess it found itself,” he said.
Nakande’s words come just days after Sahara Reporters wrote that President Buhari’s aides are allegedly trying to get him back to Aso Rock in Abuja before the eight-week closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in the Federal Capital Territory if possible.
“Some of Mr. President’s associates are mounting pressure on him to return to Abuja as soon as possible, and especially before the [Abuja] airport is temporarily closed,” Sahara Reporters quoted a source close to the presidency as saying.
Chief Adeleke, billionaire father of Nigerian music star, Davido, turned a year older and his proud son got his dad, who has always supported his music career, a new Bentley as a birthday gift.
Celebrating his old man, he shared a SC story of himself and his dad singing to his hit song “IF” while they rode in
the new car.
The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, on Monday distanced himself from the arrest and detention of Stephanie Otobo by the police last Friday, March 3, 2017 over alleged blackmail.
The allegation against Suleman came about one month after his interrogation by the Department of State Services over alleged incitement in his sermon in which he advised that Fulani herdsmen who came near his church should be killed.
The cleric in a statement by his Communications Manager, Phrank Shaibu, obtained by THE PUNCH in Abuja, said there was no amorous relationship between the said Otobo and himself, including a promise to marry her.
According to Shaibu, the lady was allegedly arrested by operatives acting on a tip off that the she had repeatedly tried to blackmail Suleman, including demanding N500 million from him, failing which she threatened to expose a purported amorous relationship between her and the Pastor.
Punch reported that a legal practitioner, Festus Keyamo, had demanded N500 million on behalf of Otobo and also accused Apostle Suleman of allegedly procuring policemen to intimidate and detain his client unlawfully, having earlier promised to marry her.
Shaibu said Keyamo was misled into believing that there was an amorous relationship between Apostle Suleman and Otobo, addding that the lady was “caught up by her own machinations as she was arrested while trying to withdraw money paid into her account by the Church in a sting operation coordinated by the police.”
He said,
“Unknown to Keyamo, the police was alerted following several attempts by the said lady to blackmail Apostle Suleiman. The police also recorded her conversations making the frivolous demand. The highpoint of the drama was her attempt to withdraw money paid into her account at the instance of the police. The lawyer should know that his client was arrested by the police with abundance of evidence confirming that she is indeed a serial blackmailer.”
Shaibu also denied Keyamo’s claim of an amorous relationship and a promise to marry her, wondering how such a transaction could have taken place without any iota of evidence.
He said,
“Let me place it on record that, the lady in question is a self-confessed stripper in a nite club in Canada, who like thousands of people that seek help from Apostle Johnson Suleman, called to pretentiously convey her intentions to embrace Christ and also needed financial help to keep body and soul as she no longer had a means of livelihood after quitting as a stripper.
“Does Keyamo or his serial blackmailing client have pictures of the visit by Apostle Suleman or his representatives to her parents? In any case, how could such a relationship have existed when the Apostle and the said lady have never met physically? How could he have made a promise of a house and a lifestyle comparable to what she has in Canada when he has never been to her house or seen her physically as to have an idea of her living standards?”
According to him, Keyamo must have been misled or excited by the prospects of getting a whopping N500 million, both reasons for which two letters were written and sent to Suleman.
Half of a Yellow sun author, Chimamanda Adichie, will be formally inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters in May as a foreign honorary member, after she got elected into the academy.
The award winning Nigerian author, will be the second Nigerian to be inducted into the academy. Wole Soyinka was the first and he got inducted in 1986.
Chimamanda will be inducted alongside 12 others into the academy, which is an honour society whose goal is to “foster, assist, and sustain excellence” in American literature, music, and art.
The academy which holds its election once every year, currently has 250 members, a number that will be increasing with the induction of the Nigerian author and others.
An excerpt from the academy’s press release reads;
“When the American Academy of Arts and Letters holds its annual induction and award ceremony in mid-May, Calvin Trillin, secretary, will induct fourteen members into the 250-person organisation and Yehudi Wyner, president will induct three foreign honorary members.”
Nigerian transvestite, Idris Okuneye Olarenwaju, better known as “Bobrisky” who months ago, acquired a new five-bedroom duplex in the Lekki peninsula area of Lagos State, held his house warming party yesterday.
The effeminate who shared news of the house warming party in January on his snapchat page, claimed that the aso ebi for the party goes for N45,000, and it is available for ladies only.
“My aso ebi for house warming is 45k, green and silver for ladies only. I’m doing a big house warming party” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the highlight of the party had to be the arrival of singer, Mc Galaxy. The two appear to have struck a friendship after Bobrisky featured in his Oya Snap O video.
Galaxy showered Bobrisky with 1000 naira notes as the male barbie whined his waist in excitement. The singer also took selfies with guests.
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted that Premier League leaders Chelsea “are almost unstoppable”.
Guardiola was speaking shortly after goals from Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane, sealed a 2-0 win over Sunderland on Sunday at the Stadium of Light.
City are now eight points behind Chelsea, who travel to West Ham on Monday night.
“It’s three more points. We are there behind, of course, Chelsea, because they are almost unstoppable,” Guardiola said.
“It’s a pity that the distance between us and Chelsea is so big.
“We started the season winning 10 games in a row, but our game was not like it is today.
“That is normal after seven or eight months together — we know each other better. I know the players better, they know me. I feel we are playing quite good.”
Guardiola also urged Sane to keep improving, if he wants to become one of the best players in the world. The Germany winger has scored six times in his last 10 games
“He is so fast and runs in behind like few players in the world,” the Spaniard said.
“But he’s just 21 years old, so the gap to become a really good player is still big. “I can say that because I was the manager of the best player in history [Lionel Messi]. That’s why I know he can improve.
“The moment he’s going to relax is going to be in another place, not on the pitch, because we want to help him. With this talent it would be a pity not to try to realise all this potential that he has.”
The Police, in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), have reportedly arrested 12 women for selling naira notes in parts of Lagos State, New Telegraph reports.
The women were allegedly selling mint naira notes to people going to parties to ‘spray’ celebrates. They are likely to be charged for contravening Section 21 of the CBN Act, 2007.
The suspects included Fausat Jimoh, Bisoye Oyegbile, Balikis Ajadi, Bisola Amoru, Abidemi Oladejo and Ajoke Suraj. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of SCIID, Bolaji Salami, said:
“It is an offence to sell naira notes at weddings or any gathering.
It contravenes the CBN Act. We arrested six suspects the previous weekend and later arrested six others on Friday. We recovered N35,500 from these suspects but N465,000 was recovered from those arrested last week.
They would be charged to court as soon as possible. Investigation would reveal how they come about these new currencies. We are going to get to the root of it because the offence is punishable by N50,000 fine, or six months imprisonment or both. No good country would allow its currency to be abused in anyway.”
An official of the CBN said:
“We know that these are not the real targets because if they don’t get the mint notes, they won’t be able to sell it. So, our main targets are commercial banks and even our staff who release the money to these vendors.
We are also going to start arresting Nigerians who organise events and allow those selling naira notes in their venues. Already, we have started arresting people who ‘spray’ money at social events.”
Ibrahim Bukar, who resides in Borno state with his father, and earns a living by cleaning, is said to have outshone his classmates in Future Hope Private School in London Chiki area of Borno State, after being enrolled in the school by a good Samaritan, Ibrahim Yusuf.
Mr. Yusuf was moved with sympathy after he found the 12-year-old boy, said to be the breadwinner of his family and found wandering the city looking for shoes to clean, told him his story.
According to Daily Nigerian, the boy’s father was excited after he was told his son will be enrolled in a school.
“The boy took us to their house in London Chiki, but unfortunately the father was not at home. We were told the father is a trader around Custom area, so we decided to go and see him in his place of business.
“On reaching there, the father was not around also, but his goods were there on display and his business neighbours told us he went away, but will be back soon. We waited, and while waiting for him, I got to understand why he could not send his boy to school.
“We waited for about 45 minutes, and throughout the time, nobody came to buy the beans and the millet he was selling. When he eventually came back, we greeted him and informed him about our mission there. “The man almost burst into tears, he told us that he had wanted his children to go to school, but unfortunately he can’t afford to.
He told us that before the insurgency became worse, he had sent the boy to Almajiri school in Dikwa, but when boko Haram took over the place, the boy escaped and came back to Maiduguri.
“With the support of a philanthropist and my little effort, Ibrahim is now in Future Hope private school in London Chiki area of aiduguri, and so far he is doing very well. I visited the school today (Friday) to see for myself how he is doing.
“His teacher informed me that Ibrahim is already performing beyond expectations. She told me that he said he wanted to be the best student in the class, and every evening receives extra lessons from one boy in his neighbourhood.
Ibrahim can now recite the English alphabets from A to Z, just within one week. His is outshining his classmates,” Mr Yusuf said.
The school’s headteacher who spoke to newsmen, also disclosed that a decision to promote Ibrahim every year according to his level of comprehension, and receiving crash lessons to make up the skipped classes has been taken.
Funny how things have “changed” so quickly in just a space of two years though – this Twitter user got us feeling nostalgic as he took us down two years memory lane in a photo of the newspaper used to wrap his suya.
In his words;
“The suya I bought just now was very sweet till I saw this part of the newspaper used for wrapping the suya. The suya became bitter”
Lol… The suya became bittersweet… Full photo below:
The talented singer was one of the performers at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards yesterday, who gave such a breathtaking one as she sang this time and not lip synced.
For the red carpet, she wore this lovely outfit but Twitter user @Bintaaaa was not all in with the outfit, so she came on to bash Simi without realizing the singer had been cooking shii up for trolls.
Binta was forced to delete her tweet and apologize after Simi and her fans came for her.
The Nollywood actress couldn’t care less if the whole of social media was trolling her after her Kenya Moore’s “puppies” saga, she put on this elegant look to last night’s AMVCA.
And while we’re falling in chocolate with her thigh high slit dress, we hope some trolls won’t come and say she stole the dress from Mag Divas store.. hmph!

Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, has called on the Nigerian parliamentary delegation to South Africa to extend its fact-finding mission to other Nigerians being kept in solitary confinement in various South Africa prisons.
MEND said secret xenophobic attacks take place in South Africa prisons – It listed its former leader, Henry Okah, who is currently serving a jail term at Korkstad Prison in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Province of South Africa among those suffering xenophobic attacks in the country.
In a statement on Saturday by its spokesman, Jomo Gbomo, MEND said:
“There are hundreds of Nigerians in South Africa who are serving various prison sentences or awaiting trial. From the reports available to us, many of these Nigerians are subjected to xenophobic attacks as they are regularly singled out for harassment, on account of their nationality or arbitrarily isolated in solitary confinement, by South African prison officials.
“We, therefore, call on the Nigerian parliamentary delegation to find time to also visit various prison facilities in South Africa where they will, indeed, be confronted with the real victims of xenophobia in South Africa.”
While commiserating with thousands of Nigerians who had suffered from the recent attack, it added,
“We are constrained to draw the attention of the National Assembly delegation to other variants of xenophobic attacks which are not in the public domain.”
Oil companies in Nigeria, have been ordered by the Federal Government to relocate their headquarters to Niger-Delta – the directive was issued by acting President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, at a Town Hall meeting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Thursday, during the continuation of his visit to oil-rich region to dialogue with stakeholders.
It is expected that this will help bring peace to the Niger-Delta region, as the Minister of State, Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has been directed to begin the process of engaging the International Oil Companies on the way forward to actualize the directive, saying “I think it is the right thing to do.”
According to Vanguard, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu also disclosed thathis ministry will be working hand in hand with illegal refineries to achieve the desired result.
A scuba driver who fainted in the water during a civic ceremony in Karamursel, north-western Turkey’s Koceli Province to mark the anniversary of a ferry disaster, was saved by the town’s mayor, Ismail Yildirim.
The lady whose name was given as Senay Ertorun, fainted and was having breathing difficulties which was spotted on time by the mayor, as the two divers were in the sea to place a wreath in the water, in tribute to the 272 people who lost their lives in the Uskudar Disaster of 1958.
The mayor who is also a professional diver, removed his shoes, tie and jacket, and dived into the water with his shirt and trouser, pulling the woman to the shore as he swam to her.
This earned him an applause, as Ms Ertorun was given all the medical attention she needed at the scene.
