Nigerian disc jockey and activist, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, better known as DJ Switch, has revealed how she ‘roasted’ renowned novelist Wole Soyinka during an event.
Switch said she was a panelist at the event and was given an opportunity to speak about Wole Soyinka. Instead of praising and speaking highly of him, she criticized him harshly.
She explained that she chose to do this because she believes he is different from his remarkable body of work and is, in reality, a bigot
Taking to the microblogging platform X, she wrote,
“Was a panelist at an event over the weekend and just before the event started, we all got talking about African writers and of course Nigeria’s contribution.
“Someone brought up Wole Soyinka (whose works are quite exceptional if I might add)… and I was given the floor.
“Brethren… I would like to let you people know that I did not let one bullet go astray! Wole Soyinka unlike many of his counterparts chose to be completely separate from his works and also chose to display his bigotry and myopic thinking these past few months. It was my esteemed pleasure to roast the uncle while maintaining decorum and extol other Nigerian writers!”
This comes weeks after Wole Soyinka stated that the Labour Party (LP) knows their presidential candidate, Peter Obi, lost the February 25 election.
Speaking at an event in Stellenbosch, South Africa, Soyinka said:
“Peter Obi achieved something remarkable there, that he broke that mould. However, he did not win the election.
“I can say categorically that Peter Obi’s party came third not even second and the leadership knew it but they want to do what we call in Yoruba ‘gbajue’, that is force of lies.”
Leah Sharibu, the Christian schoolgirl kidnapped by members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), has reportedly remarried another terrorist commander after divorcing her first husband.
Leah, who was 14 years old at the time, was abducted in February 2018 along with over 100 schoolmates from the Government Girls Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe State.
Months after her kidnapping, reports emerged that she had married one of her abductors and is now a mother.
In a recent update shared by the Daily Trust on Tuesday, September 26, it was revealed that Leah is now married to another ISWAP commander named Ali Abdallah in the Lake Chad region.
The source who spoke to the news outlet said,
“Leah was first married to Abdulrahman after she allegedly converted to Islam and they have two children, all boys that were named after two Boko Haram commanders that were killed,” the source said.
“We don’t know what transpired but Leah secured the divorce and married another commander, Ali Abdallah.”
The source also revealed that Leah was taught how to provide medical services to injured Boko Haram fighters and women.
According to the Daily Trust, one of the strategies of terrorists in the North East is to train their captives in various fields of expertise, including medicine, nursing, engineering, and computer science.
“She was ‘trained’ as a medical personnel and now leads the ISWAP medical team in the northern part of the Lake Chad area,” the source said.
Another source said,
“Ten days ago, Leah, her supposed husband and other fighters were sighted at Dogon Chukwun kangarwa.
“Her husband is a commander under ISWAP but they are facing persecution from a Boko Haram commander loyal to Shekau, Malam Bakura.
“As of today, we got a report that a large contingent of the ISWAP fighters has started migrating from the area through the Guzamala forest.
“They were sighted on the route of Cross – Mosquito camp- Garin-giwa (where the Zulum’s convoy was attacked) – Munguno – Gajiram with cache of dangerous arms.”

Taking to Twitter on Monday September 18, the 27-year-old singer stated that he will not pay his last respect to Mohbad until justice is served.

Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has accused Nigerians of being unreasonable in their demands for Omowunmi, the widow of the late musician Mohbad, to do a DNA test on her child to establish the boy’s paternity.
It has been reported that certain Nigerians have persisted in demanding a DNA test be performed on Mohbad’s five-month-old boy to establish his paternity.
Recall that the widow was recently offered N10 million by businessman Larry Omodia in exchange for her consent to a “all-expenses paid” DNA test.
Iyabo Ojo responded, calling the requests for a DNA test “insensitive,” in a video posted on her Instagram page.
She said,
“All these distractions of DNA test, you people should please allow Mohbad’s family to mourn. If Mohbad’s parents want a DNA test, they can request it. You and I don’t have the right to tell them to do a DNA test.
Mohbad never told anyone that his son wasn’t his son. But if the officers investigating his death feel there is a need to conduct a DNA test, they will. We need to be very sensitive, please. Why are you guys bullying the poor lady [Mohbad’s wife]? Leave her alone.”
Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemate, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has stated despite having won “Pepper Dem,” Mercy Eke deserves to win the N120 million top prize.
White Money, who won the Shine Ya Eye edition in 2021, stated this in a recent interview with TV personality Hero Daniels.

Nigerian Rapper and Label Boss, Naira Marley has taken to his social media page to categorically deny having any hand in the death of his former label signee, Mohbad.
Following Mohbad’s passing, information about how he was maltreated after leaving the Marlians Record label dominated social media and this led to a barrage of accusations involving Naira Marley and others.
The Public has since called for Naira Marley’s arrest and he finally released a statement on Tuesday to state that he considered the late Mohbad to be his brother and member of his music family.
His statement reads ;
In the last few days, there has been a lot of onslaught on my person and reputation globally over the death of my former signee. All manner of stories has been woven against me in respect of his untimely death. I have not only been in shock over the death of the deceased whom I considered to be my brother and member of our music family, but over the various lies spread and threats against me.
Before I progress further, let me say that as it is traumatic for a lot of people to bear the reality of Ileri’s death, so it is to me.
May his gentle soul continue to rest in peace and may God grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Permit me to categorically state that I have no hand in the death of Ilerioluwa, either directly or indirectly. It is not unusual in the industry, just like in several other industries to have family friction, even amongst blood relatives. Truly, we had our own share of misunderstandings whilst working together, but the disagreement between us was never to the extent being painted by some hirelings. It never degenerated to the extent of wishing each other death. Even at that, we were resolving our business disputes legally before he had passed.
I have chosen not to say anything since due to being distraught over his death and in order not to jeopardize the investigation being carried out by the government agencies.
In addition, I have been out of the country since the 31st of August, 2023 and I’m yet to return.
In light of the police invitation, I am making arrangements to return to the country to assist the investigation and give my version of the events. I am fully cooperating with the Police team and I certainly have no reason to be a fugitive when I have no hand in his death.
I am certain that the culprit behind his death and has a vendetta against me and are fueling public opinions to have me lynched for reasons known to them. In due time the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death will be unveiled and the world will know the truth. This kind of scenario of attempting to set someone up is not novel in the industry as other great musicians
have experienced the same and came out better and stronger. Mine will not be an exception as I am innocent of the accusations.
Mohbad left the label in September 2022, the label accepted his departure. Marlian Music did not stop or interfere with his career or releases since and he has been with oneRPM. Legal efforts were made to reconcile his concerns regarding the work we had done together.
The rumors regarding the label being a drug cartel are untrue. I am not a drug lord, neither do I Marley belong to any cult or fraternity.
I’m dedicated to proving my innocence and I’m cooperating with the authorities to clear my name with sufficient evidence.
Marlian Music is an independent label run by a small intimate team. We run a legitimate label that focuses on championing exceptional talent, breaking new acts and nurturing them.
I will like to clearly state that I have never fought or attacked Mohbad. For the avoidance of doubt I have never instructed anyone, friend, known associates or fans to attack, bully or harass Mohbad. With regards to the talent on the label, none of our artists ever fought or mistreated Mohbad.
I share my deepest condolences to the family. Let’s be mindful as we seek justice to focus on supporting the police and authorities with relevant information and evidence surrounding his death so that those responsible will be apprehended. I am positive that at the end of the day, the truth will prevail and I shall be exonerated.
My lawyers are already in touch with the police and government agencies and will support in every way necessary.
Without a doubt I will honor his memory and I promise to do right by him and his family.
Thank you.

Nigerian indigenous rapper, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno, has claimed that while he was a rising musician, acquaintances had counselled him to join a cult or partake in rituals if he wanted to succeed in the music industry.
The hip-hop musician revealed this while giving young, up-and-coming artists advice on taking shortcuts to success.
Phyno, who noted that he declined the offer, stated that he never believed in utilizing shortcuts to succeed in the industry since he thought that hard work, commitment, and persistence were the essential qualities that might make him successful.
The ‘Alobam’ hitmaker cautioned aspiring musicians against signing with just any record company out of desperation without carefully reading and weighing the terms and conditions.
He said;
“Some people look at us today and think we got it easy, Not at all. I’ve never loved easy things. Before many people heard of Phyno, I’d had songs that no one knew existed.
“A couple of friends told me to blow, I must join a cult or sacrifice something or someone, I told them the price is too much. I’ll never do such. I believed in myself and the power of hard work, I started little and today I thank God.
“Young talents need to relax, do not be desperate about record deals or being in the spotlight. Keep working, when it’s time you’ll shine.
“Imagine begging a label to sign you, what kind of terms will they give you? They already know you are desperate and they will use you. At the beginning, you might not see it but give it time, you’ll regret it. Nothing pays more than hard work and consistency”.
A Nigerian man has explained why the late Nigerian musician Mohbad shouldn’t be buried in Ikorodu a second time.
In a video on social media, he strongly discouraged people from burying Mohbad in Ikorodu after the autopsy was complete.
He said that Mohbad’s supporters should get together to provide money for a suitable burial site.
His warning follows the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains, which raised questions about the respect and dignity of the initial burial process.
He said;
“Look here; don’t bring back Mohbad’s body to Ikorodu. He doesn’t deserve to be buried in that kind of place. If it’s for fans to contribute N500 each to afford his body being buried at Ikoyi Cemetery, it’s not too much. And for the government, since you exhumed him, we’ve not heard anything. We won’t rest until we get justice.”

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has asserted that most of President Bola Tinubu’s detractors would change their minds if they met him.
The controversial performer said this on an edition of The Honest Podcast, explaining that if they got close to the president, the criticism would stop.
Seun Kuti said that as a child, he was unable to freely enter his girlfriend’s home due to the way that his late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, the founder of afrobeat, was “hated” by the public.
The instrumentalist added that most individuals who dislike politicians frequently change their minds and praise the offspring of politicians due to financial benefits.
He said;
“Being Fela’s son, growing up in Nigeria, I no even fit enter my girlfriend papa’s house. I go dey wonder say, ‘Wettin my papa sef dey do like dis wey nobody like am?’
But I know my father; he’s a cool guy. So, what’s it about this guy that nobody likes? If I go anywhere, people would be like, ‘Oh! He’s Fela’s son…’ I know that pain. But I looked at all politicians’ children; the same people who criticise Tinubu today will praise his children tomorrow because of money.
So, I understand that if you had access to Tinubu, you would love him. Your only hatred of him is your lack of access.”
A bride-to-be has passed away after undergoing surgery to get bigger breasts in a bid to showcase her cleavage in a low-cut wedding dress.
The 21-year-old beautician, Alessia Neboso, was getting ready to marry her longtime boyfriend, Mario Lucchesi, before the tragedy occurred.
It was reported that a few days after the breast implant surgery, Alessia started feeling sick. She reportedly developed a high fever, fatigue, a cough, weakness, and gastrointestinal issues.
When her condition became critical, her family took her to the emergency room at the Villa dei Fiori Clinic in Acerra, near Naples, Italy, on September 20.
The doctor-in-charge, Dr Feliciano Ciccarelli told local media,
“The colleagues on duty immediately understood that the situation was very serious.
Her functional indicators were all altered; the kidneys were already failing, her white blood cell count was at 17,000, and she was starting to have difficulty breathing.
The normal range for a white blood cell count is typically between 4,000 and 11,000 per microlitre.
We subjected her to all possible tests. We wanted to understand where the sepsis was localised.
We did an ultrasound and a CT scan of the abdomen, another CT scan of the chest, from which we understood that the problem was coming from the lungs.”
She was eventually stabilized and taken to the ICU. Sadly, she died from a cardiac arrest a few hours later, despite efforts to keep her alive.
A close friend of the deceased, who spoken anonymously to the press, said:
“Her dream was to get married wearing a beautiful low-cut dress that would highlight her new cleavage.
Alessia had always had a complex about her small breasts, even though they weren’t really that small, in fact: in my opinion, they were almost perfect.
But she didn’t want to listen to advice and had made up her mind to have it done; she didn’t care what others said.
She didn’t even want to listen to her boyfriend; he wasn’t in favour either.
When she came to my house for a manicure, she talked about nothing else, and she was very happy to have found the courage to go to the surgeon.”
Meanwhile, Alessia’s devastated family has filed a complaint and police have launched an investigation.
Her parents said,
“If there are liabilities, they must come to light. If Alessia died because of the doctors, we want justice.
‘She was doing great, she was beautiful, young, and healthy. They must tell us what happened in that operating room.”
A Nigerian businessman, identified as Larry Omodia, has made a generous proposal to the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad amidst growing requests for a DNA test to confirm the paternity of her son, Liam.
After the singer’s sudden passing on September 12, his longtime partner Wunmi came forward to reveal that they were married with a child.
However, due to the mystery surrounding his death, some netizens, led by Very Black Man, have demanded a DNA test on the son to eliminate any suspicions regarding his wife’s involvement in his death.
This did not sit well with Mohbad’s sister-in-law, who threatened to file a N300 million lawsuit against Very Black Man for ordering the DNA test.
In response to the online dispute, Larry, the CEO of African Television, has offered to sponsor the DNA test and has also promised to give Wunmi N10 million if Mohbad is confirmed as the biological father of her son.
His words,
“N10 million to Mohbad’s wife if DNA proves that that child belongs to Mohbad. African television will pay for the DNA test, raise N10 million for Mohbad’s wife to raise that child if the DNA proves that that child is actually Mohbad’s child.
“This is to counter those people who say, ‘If you talk about DNA, they will sue you for N3 million. Let them come after me. My name is Larry Omodia. I’m the CEO of African Television.
“I’m going to sponsor the DNA test and make sure that the baby gets N10 million if he’s proven to be Mohbad’s child. Why? Because accusation is traumatic. But what is more traumatic than accusation? A life of lies.
“So we would compensate Mohbad’s wife if the baby actually belongs to Mohbad. But if that baby isn’t for Mohbad, men will learn a lot of lessons from that.
“So, this message is to Mohbad’s family, get me that woman, get the baby; we’ll do a DNA test. If the woman has nothing to hide, she walks away with N10 million; that is a promise. And if you want to sue people for what is right, come after me.”

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has opined that people are accusing the late Nigerian singer Mohbad’s father of having a hand in his death due to his financial status.
The 27-year-old singer passed away on Tuesday, September 12, under mysterious circumstances and was swiftly buried the following day.
This didn’t sit well with many fans of the singer, and they criticized the singer’s father for burying him without discovering the real cause of his death. Others accused him of being complicit in his death and burying him quickly to hide ‘something’.
Addressing these speculations, Seun Kuti, in a recent interview on Nedu’s podcast “The Honest Bunch,” asserted that people are criticizing the bereaved father because he is poor.
He added that no parent wants to be looking at their child’s corpse, so it’s not wrong for him to have buried him immediately.
His words,
“Poverty is playing a big role in this whole Mohbad issue. People are saying Mohbad’s father killed him because he buried him early. Who will be looking at his son’s dead body for two to three days?” He queried.
Speaking in Pidgin, Kuti asked, “If na Otedola pikin die and he bury am overnight, wetin anybody go talk here? No be sey una go dey give am condolences visit for a house?
“Instead of us to be consoling the man, we are making him evil that can kill his son. Somebody that just lost his child. You like the boy pass am na hin dem dey bully the boy all these days and you no talk anything.”
Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has revealed that she once believed her sister Niniola was jealous of her talent.
She opened up about this during a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast while discussing her relationship with her sister who is also a famous singer.
Reflecting on their childhood, Teni recalled how she and her sisters used to rehearse together. She mentioned that her eldest sister, Doyin, would always compliment her voice, but Niniola would often argue that her voice was not ‘sweet.’
Teni revealed that this constant criticism had led her to believe that Nini was jealous of her singing talent.
In her words;
“My elder sister, the one that’s older than Nini [Niniola], Doyin, maybe she was deceiving because she didn’t want to hurt me; she used to tell me I have a melodic voice whenever I sing during my childhood. Nini, on the other hand, would tell me my voice isn’t sweet. So, I thought she was jealous of me.
“She [Niniola] called me aside and told me not to let Doyin deceive me. She now said, ‘You sing from your stomach.’ So, every time Nini sings, I would watch her sing. So, I also started singing from my stomach.
“There was a time my school organised an event, I sang and the whole school stood up and was clapping for me. I said, ‘I’ve arrived.’ I went back home to tell Nini that I sang in school and everybody was clapping and she said I should sing what I sang. I sang it and Nini too clapped for me. I said, ‘Okay, we are up to something.”

Sam could inherit all Mohbad’s assets as father of the boy and why I cautioned Nigerians against donating to mom and son. The N30M should be frozen by the bank because technically he didn’t lose his father.
📌Where are Mohbad’s phones last seen with Wunmi after he was transported to and from the hospital?
📌Was Mohbad buried alive while injected with Midolazam a long acting benzodiazepine that came up in discussions knocked him unconscious and then possibly strangled? His neck in the coffin ⚰️appeared broken.
📌Why did Naira Marley keep quiet about the DNA test done in Dubai as he has a copy.
📌Why was Sam Larry fighting Mohbad for his son and why Mohbad refused to hand him over
📌Why was Wunmi’s family threatening VDBM with a N300M lawsuit?
📌Why did Cubana Chiefpriest give Mohbad’s dad N4M days before his suspected murder according to my UBA bank records? Why did he lie that only Davido gave him N2M which he later said only N1M was delivered to him.
📌Why was Sanusi the boy with dreads immediately flown to Dubai after Mohbad was allegedly murdered? He’s described as a Dubai based crypto yahoo boy. Sanusi was also spotted in the car with Mohbad’s body, the car dealership and near Iyabo Ojo signing the condolence register.

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemate, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has noted that as the show’s finale approaches, Ilebaye has a chance to win the All Stars edition.
The reality personality who was a recent guest on Pulse’s One On One, hosted by BBNaija’s, Christy O, claimed that Ilebaye’s victory as the ultimate Head of House proves that the odds are in her favour.
According to Whitemoney, whether or not Ilebaye receives the ultimate prize, it is still her moment.
“She [Ilebaye] has really done well for herself as the last Head of House. What are the odds? The grace and forces are with her, just leave it like that.
So, it’s just her time. Whether she wins it [grand prize] or not, it’s just her time. Because everything that is supposed to work against her, is not working against her. Even when she is wrong, it’s not still working against her. So, it’s her time.”
In other news, Whitemoney opened up about his unconventional bathing habit.
He shared this during a candid discussion with his fellow housemates, including Alex, Cross, and Kim Oprah, when the topic of whether any woman has seen his manhood in the house came up.
In response, Whitemoney revealed that he intentionally doesn’t bath naked in the house because he doesn’t want his co-stars to see his huge genitalia.
The 30-year-old reality TV star added that he is a “grower” and his male organ has a tendency to grow substantially when he is sexually aroused, which is why he keeps it from public glare. He also mentioned that he uses XXXL condoms.
Speaking further, he joked that if the ladies were to see his manhood, they might experience orgasm without any physical contact.
Popular social commentator, VeryDarkman has shared his theories as to why Mohbad’s wife is his top suspect in the singer’s murder.
Mohbad’s death has been the subject of ongoing controversy, and although the police have started an autopsy, it is unknown what caused it.
In the video he posted online, he pointed out how the mother of one had made posts following her husband’s passing that had nothing to do with his death.
He continued by pointing out that Wunmi always made an effort to personalise her posts, making it seem as though the singer’s passing didn’t concern her at all.
He noted Wunmi’s use of the ‘ni.g.ga’ pronoun to describe her recently dead spouse as being out of the ordinary for a grieving widow.
In other news, Nigerian clergyman Pastor Tunde Bakare has reacted to the sudden death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad, who passed away at 27 on Tuesday, September 12.
During a sermon in Leicester, United Kingdom, on Sunday, September 24, 2023, the clergy stated that the late singer may have died as a consequence of his actions while alive.
He asserted that when the late singer was drinking, smoking, and associating with evil people while he was alive, he didn’t realize that the ‘harvest’ would come so soon.
Sensational Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has shared how he made his first million as a gift from a fan.
The singer claimed that after receiving one million naira in cash at a time when he had never seen N10,000, he couldn’t sleep.
Dakolo made the disclosure in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. He said the “good Samaritan” had seen him on television while he was competing in the first Idols West Africa in 2007.
Dakolo said;
“There was somebody that gave me N1m from nowhere. I had never seen N10,000 before. The money I used to have then was always N1,300, N800, N1,200, and N520. And somebody gave me N1m cash. He came to the hotel and gave me N1m. He said he doesn’t watch TV but he saw me on TV and he felt he should give me N1m.
I saw N1m, I could not sleep. I was looking at the money. I said, ‘This money will change.’ I was speaking English that day. Me that used to disturb the whole place, I was quiet [sic]. I caught myself speaking good English.”
Renowned Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo has revealed that he was senior to prominent professional actor, Pete Edochie, in the domestic movie industry, Nollywood.
Kanayo made the assertion in a recent interview where he discussed the history of the business.
The 61-year-old actor acknowledged that Edochie produced the first motion picture, “Things Fall Apart,” but pointed out that he had been working in Nollywood for four years prior to Edochie’s debut.
He said;
“I cannot be written off the history or the story when it is told of Nollywood. You can’t take it away that Kenneth Nnebue made the first professionally made home video in 1992.
You can’t take it away from those who took part in ‘Living in Bondage’, just like you can’t take it away from the fact that ‘Things Fall Apart’ which Pete Edochie took part in was not a home video. It was a cinema.
So if you write a story now and say Pete Edochie is older than me in Nollywood, I will contest it because he came four years after. So in Nollywood I’m his senior. It is not a matter of biological age.
So, when it comes to cinema, of course, then you start going to Baba Hubert Ogunde in 1940s or 1950s. This is history. History has no romanticism.”
Perez Medcare Hospital, the medical institution where the late singer, Mohbad was rushed to, which allegedly declared him dead, has broken their silence on the case.
According to a statement the hospital posted on its Instagram page, Mohbad was brought into their facility on Tuesday, September 12, at around 4.30 p.m. with no signs of life.
Their medical workers leapt into action as soon as Mohbad was brought in and, after an examination, found that he had no heartbeat, no central or peripheral pulse, and no discernible vital signs, as well as fixed and dilated pupils.
His body was already stiffening in some areas, according to the hospital.
The hospital claimed that when they inquired about the singer’s treatment at home, they learned that a nurse had given him injections there.
The hospital also stated that the companions were instructed to transport Mohbad’s body to the closest general hospital and deposit it in the mortuary.
The statement read,
“The attention of the management of Perez Medcare Hospital has been drawn to the misleading and false information being circulated in some social media platforms that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) died in our medical facility.
We consider it pertinent to put on record that at about 04:30pm on the 12th of September 2023, the lifeless body of Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was brought to our medical facility and our medical team immediately sprang into action and after assessment it was discovered that there was no sign of life, no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no recordable vital signs and his pupils were fixed and dilated. On attempting CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), rigor mortis (stiffening of some parts of the body in relation to death) was observed and the persons who brought him to our facility were informed that it was a case of BID (Brought in dead). Upon enquiry about the circumstances leading to the emergency, our team was informed that the deceased was being treated at home by a nurse and that she administered injections on him. Our team thereafter advised that the body be taken to the nearest Government Hospital where he can be deposited in the morgue.
Let it be known that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was not a patient of Perez Medcare Hospital and was never admitted at our hospital at any material time whatsoever. Also, the nurse who was said to be administering treatment on him at home is not a staff of Perez Medcare Hospital and the video of the medical facility circulating in the media space in which the late Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) is seen alive and receiving treatment is not Perez Medcare Hospital.
We are compelled to issue this statement to set the records straight and correct the wrong and false misinformation being circulated about Perez Medcare Hospital. We urge everyone to desist from spreading false information and be mindful of the sensitivity of this matter.
While we express our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased Mr.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad), we also lend our voice to the call for thorough investigation into the circumstances of his sudden death.
Thank you”
Popular Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has strongly criticized clergyman Pastor Tunde Bakare for his reaction to the death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
Recall that during a sermon in Leicester, United Kingdom, on Sunday, September 24, 2023, the clergy stated that the late singer may have died as a consequence of his actions while alive.
He asserted that when the late singer was drinking, smoking, and associating with evil people while he was alive, he didn’t realise that the ‘harvest’ would come so soon.
Taking to her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh advised the pastor to keep the same energy with his corrupted colleagues, who had been accused of all sorts.
According to her, he has never criticized his colleagues so it was wrong of him to make such comments about the young man who passed away tragically.
She wrote,
“Dear pastor Tunde, @thetbakareiknow
When your colleagues are caught with their pants down in unholy sexual activities.
We never hear your voice, you never speak nor preach about them..
It comes to the death of a boy who is old enough to be your last born and you say “HE REAPED THE REWARD OF HIS ACTIONS.
What Actions?
Please please please KEEP THE SAME ENERGY with your corrupted Colleagues as you just did today.
It’s the anointing of God upon your head that’s making me not go off on this LOSSE COMMENT OF YOURS.
I have learnt over the years that if you have nothing nice to say, Keep mute (DONT TALK AT ALL)
Preach your gospel and leave mohbads name out of your ministration..
I don’t respect old age, I respect the wisdom your exhibit at old age..”
Netizens have unearthed an old video of reality TV star and writer Angel Smithleading praise and worship at her secondary school.
This comes after she was evicted from the ‘All Stars’ edition of the Big Brother Naija show just before the final week.

Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has expressed his opinion that Nigeria does not have the best women in the world.
The ‘Bounce’ crooner made this statement during a recent interview with Beat FM. According to him, there are good girls in Nigeria, but they are not the best.
When asked about the country with the best women, he declined to respond, seemingly to avoid potential criticism from Nigerians.
He further noted that any man who has traveled outside Nigeria would agree with his statement that Nigerian women are not the best.
“100% we don’t have the best women in the world. That is a fact. We don’t. It’s straightforward. No man that has been around will just say that. We don’t have the best women. We have good women but we don’t have the best,” he said
Speaking further, Ruger mentioned that he would never bring any girl on stage when he is performing in Nigeria, unlike in other countries.
He explained that this decision is primarily because Nigerians were quick to criticize him for bringing ladies on stage in other countries.
The 24-year-old singer added,
“My people are toxic. I know them. And most of the girls in Nigeria are in a relationship. I don’t want someone to come for me. Nigerian girls are liars. They will be in a relationship and will be lying.”

Speaking on the topic ‘Harvest’, the former presidential aspirant said,
“My wife and I listened to a tape last night on Mohbad. How many of you know MohBad? The Nigerian artiste who died at 27? Mohbad.
When he was drinking and smoking and associating with evil men, he did not know that the harvest would come so soon and that he would soon be cut down at the prime of youth.
I am not blaming him, I am just telling you. Is Mohbad a good name? Moh Bad.
There was a young man older than I am. He was a driver and his nickname was Èsù (devil). Everywhere he went, people hailed him as Èsù and he would acknowledge them.
The day he crashed the car and he killed people and they threw him behind jail when he was brought out, he said ‘Méè Sèsù Méè Sèsù (I am not the devil).”
