The Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has faced heavy criticism for publicly praying for Israel amid its conflict with Hamas.
The clergyman took to social media to share a video of himself offering prayers for Israel as it continues to fight against the Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip, Palestine.
In a one minute, thirty-six seconds video, Pastor Adeboye said,
“Hello my beloved brothers in Israel, I want you to know that we are praying for you, that all members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God all over the world are standing by you at this critical moment. The Almighty God, the holy one of Israel will give you absolute victory and give you permanent peace from now on in the mighty name of Jesus”.

This didn’t sit well with many Nigerians, and they dragged him to filth for speaking about Israel’s issues when he has never filmed a video to address the various crises in Nigeria.
He was also criticized for throwing his weight behind Israel when there are also Christians in Palestine.

@isidore0001 wrote, “Nigerians especially in the middle belt who are predominantly Christians are killed, raped property destroyed but you never prayed for them cos your brother’s party is in power.
But today you are praying for Jews in Israel.
Sir, with all due respect, you are a hypocrite.”
