Grace Makun, the sister-in-law of Nigerian comedian and actor AY Makun, has posted a video showcasing the aftermath of the fire that occurred at his home in Lekki, Lagos.

It will be recalled that the comedian faced a huge tragedy last Sunday, August 6, as his mansion was engulfed with fire, resulting in the loss of valuable belongings worth millions of naira. However, the cause of the fire has not been made public.

He has since released a statement that the fire did not claim any lives, as his wife and children are presently in the United States. He also revealed his plans to join them soon.

“Family and God – that is what’s important. Everything else comes and goes. Can’t wait to join you guys in the US in a few,” he wrote.

In a recent update, Grace, his sister-in-law, has taken to social media to show the extent of the damage done to the mansion following the fire incident.

The video shows the house burnt beyond recognition and everything inside charred. Firefighters were also captured in the clip, while some persons were trying to clean up the mess.

Grace captioned the video,

Fast-rising singer, Boy Spyce has revealed that he once took out a loan to impress his girlfriend.

The ‘Carry Me Go’ crooner said this while discussing the “weirdest” thing he has ever done for love on Cool FM’s The Big Friday show, which is hosted by media personality. Tacha.

Boy Spyce claims that he borrowed N50,000 just to stop his girlfriend from going on a date with another man to a location she’s been longing to visit.

The Mavin signee, who acknowledged that the incident occurred years ago, vowed never to repeat it.

He said;

“The farthest I have ever gone for love is borrowing money. It sounds very basic but it’s actually something I would never do anymore. If I no get, I no get. I no go kill myself to impress anybody.

This was years back. I think it was about N50,000. And at that time, it was a lot of money for me. She [my then girlfriend] was like she wanted to go and have fun and eat somewhere.

I think a guy wanted to take her out and I was like, ‘Why will you go out with a guy when you are with me?’ And she was like she has been wanting to go the place. She likes it. So, I have to go and like borrow money.”

Gifty, who was a housemate during the ‘See Gobe’ season, took to her Instagram page to share the good news with her followers this morning.

The mother of three revealed that there were nights she cried while patting her son to sleep, but she was extremely proud of her journey so far.

Whitemoney’s Instagram account with 1.9 million followers reportedly hacked

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemates, Whitemoney has reportedly lost his verified Instagram account with 1.9 million followers.

A concerned Nigerian shared a post on Twitter, alerting everyone that Whitemoney’s Instagram account, had been compromised in the middle of the night.

She said that the hacker, a white boy, had started posting his own photos on the account and made it private.

She wrote;

“Is WhiteMoney’s team awake? His 1.9 million followed account has been hacked by some guy and he’s uploading pics already!!

The hacker has also put whitemoney’s verified account on private, Omo its the fact that the boy waited for 12am naija time when people are sleeping to do this. Kai!!!”

Super Falcons striker, Desire Oparanozie has taken to her social media page to offer her heartfelt apologies to Nigerians after she failed to score her penalty kick in the tension-filled RO16 match against England.

Oparanozie missed her kick and it one could easily suggest that it led to a loss in confidence because the spot-kick taker after her, Michelle Alozie also missed hers.

Self-acclaimed relationship expert, Okoro Blessing, also known as Blessing CEO has encouraged women to avoid opposing their husbands’ side chic since it is foolish to do so.

The relationship therapist Blessing CEO recently made some comments on Arise TV that have received backlash online.

Blessing opined that entering her husband’s personal space and attacking his lover or side chic is the most unwise thing a woman could ever do.

A middle-aged American lady who is a fan of pop star Beyonce has shocked netizens after she quit her job to attend the Grammy Award winner’s concert.

She had requested Paid Time Off (PTO) at her place of employment in order to attend the concert, but her employer rejected her request.

She quit and rushed to the performance venue with a poster reading, “I did not allow my office to break my soul,” a statement taken from Beyonce’s song, feeling the need to demonstrate her support for Beyonce.

A video that surfaced online and stirred mixed reactions shows the African-American woman walking on the field while showing off her cardboard, which read; “PTO DENIED SO I QUIT. YOU WON’T BREAK MY SOUL”

Reacting to the video, Fred commented; “Right lmao she could’ve called out sick. Shit most jobs I’ve had have a 3 day no call no show policy she ain’t even have to call, could’ve just showed up 2 days later and signed that write up 🤣”

Frodd’s wife has taken delivery of his car after he scolded his mechanic while speaking with Big Brother in the house during his dairy session.

Recall that Frodd stirred reactions on social media after making a threat against his mechanic for having possession of his automobile.

Frodd gave out this warning in his diary session with Big Brother, when he was allowed to talk about whatever else was on his mind for the remainder of the session.

He used the opportunity to tell his wife how much he loved her and how grateful he was that she had allowed him to be on the show.

Apparently, the mechanic got the message and made sure he fixed the car as fast as he could.

The official handler of Frodd’s Twitter page posted a video of the mechanic driving the car to his house to deliver it to his wife.

The incident took place earlier today as he was informing his fellow housemates about what they would be having for breakfast.

A while back, Pretty Mike sparked outrage online after he revealed that he spends at least N2 million on stunts.

The socialite claimed that spending N2 million to N5 million merely to have fun is no longer a huge issue in a recent interview with Tacha Akide on Cool FM.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Rita Edochie has reacted to the post made by Yul Edochie where he insinuated that his relationship with Judy started from a movie set with his father, Pete Edochie.

Recall that the veteran actor caused a buzz on social media after revealing that the family suddenly heard that his son had ‘picked’ a second wife.

He stated that Yul is an adult, he doesn’t feel the need to become involved in his affair, and it is fully up to him whether or not he consults with him about his decisions.

A young woman has sought the advice of netizens after her husband filed for a divorce over her disrespectful action towards his mother.

The lady explained that her mother-in-law came to provide traditional postpartum care and support for her and her newborn, which is popularly called ‘omugwo‘ in Nigeria.

She disclosed that they recently got into an argument which escalated into a physical altercation. She said her mother-in-law slapped her for talking back at her, and she returned the slap in a heartbeat.

According to her, she retaliated the slap because her mother-in-law has no right to slap her as she is not her mother.

This apparently infuriated her husband and he sent her packing from their matrimonial home, and filed for a divorce. The woman said she is confused and needs advise on how to handle the matter.

She is not my mum and have no right to slap me. THis made my husband file for a divorce outrightly, that he can never stay with someone that raised hands to his mum. Mixed reactions have trailed a photo of an Igbo man who married his foreign lover at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry in Lagos.

This follows the recent controversial tweet of one Mazi Uchenna Odu who advised his fellow Igbo men to avoid court weddings at all cost.

He gave this advice in the light of Nigerian businesswoman May Edochie, who recently initiated divorce proceedings against her husband, actor Yul Edochie. She also filed a restraining order to bar him from entering their matrimonial home.

The tweet quickly went viral online and sparked massive criticisms from netizens.

Well, days after the viral tweet, another Twitter user took to the microblogging to praise an Igbo man for marrying a foreign woman at the Ikoyi wedding registry.

He described the man as ‘hardworking’, and hailed him for securing a good future for himself.

“Ndu nwoke esika.. Okwanu ka umuazi weelu lie nri.. Nwee ezigbote future.. Nwoke na agba mbo nobi small… Chukwu zoba anyi,” he wrote in Igbo.

Ashleigh Plumptre, a Super Falcons defender, is preparing to play against her birth country in the 2023 World Cup two years after switching her allegiance from England to Nigeria.

The defender, who is Nigerian through her paternal grandfather, played for England’s Under 17, Under 19, and Under 23 before making her debut for Nigeria in 2021.

Plumptre told BBC; “It’s always been assumed that I’m white.” The 25-year-old added that she feels obligated to represent the mixed-race community.

The yet-to-be-identified soldier shared a video on TikTok, which captured their preparation for a possible invasion of the neighboring nation.

In the video, the soldier, who was dressed in his military uniform and held an assault rifle, was captured talking to his colleagues beside a military vehicle in an undisclosed location.

An excited man has stormed the hospital to sweetly celebrate the arrival of his “rainbow baby”  with his wife by lavishly showering her with cash.

The ecstatic man was glad to have been made a father again as he announced the arrival of their ‘rainbow baby’ (a baby that was born after the parents experienced pregnancy loss).

In the video, the father went to the maternity ward with their young son and a slew of flying balloons to see his wife.

To demonstrate his appreciation for her labor, he started spraying her with bundles of N1,000 notes, amounting to almost a million naira, and N200 notes.

He also uncorked a bottle of pricey wine in one scenario and spilled the content on his head.

Nigerian entertainer and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has spoken about her faith as she goes to church for the first time in a very long time,

Cuppy took to her Instagram page on Sunday to reveal that it had been a long time since she had attended a church service.

She expressed her extreme excitement at returning to worship her creator after a prolonged period of being estranged from Him.

The gifted DJ stated that attending church makes her feel alive and joyful and reminds her of how blessed she is.

She wrote;

“It’s been a ages since I’ve been to church, and I’m so happy to finally be back! I’ve promised myself to commit back to my faith, and being here is a reminder of how blessed I am.. What a life! Feeling so much JOY and LITNESS’!”

A while back, popular British boxer, Ryan Taylor, has sparked breakup rumors after he unfollowed his fiancée, DJ Cuppy, on Instagram.

The couple had generated whispers online after Cuppy was apparently sighted without her ring and had stopped parading her partner on her page.

According to internet reports, Cuppy and her lover originally unfollowed each other, but she later refollowed him.

Former Big Brother Naija star, Nina Ivy, has expressed her displeasure at Ilebaye, a housemate in the ongoing ‘All Stars’ season for age-shaming her co-housemate, Ceec.

Recall that Ilebaye and CeeC had a serious altercation after the Saturday night party that earned Ilebaye two strikes and CeeC, punishment.

During the verbal exchange, Ilebaye boasted about being only 22 years old in an attempt to age-shame Ceec, but the latter fired back at her, noting that at 22, she had already accomplished a lot and was already called to the Nigeria bar.

In reaction to Ilebaye’s jest, Nina took to Twitter to berate her for trying to age-shame Ceec, 30. She stated that she participated in the reality TV show at 21, and made it to the finals.

She added that she didn’t make it a mission to kiss all the guys in the house during her time, but stayed with one guy Miracle till the end of the show, insinuating that ilebaye has no basis to brag.

Nollywood actress, Peju Johnson, has revealed that she is eager to get married and start a family.

Peju said this in an interview with The Punch while bemoaning how hard it is to find a nice man in today’s society and how many marriages end in divorce.

The Yoruba movie star declared that she believed she would find a husband and partner that she would grow old with.

She said;

“I cannot stay without getting married. I want to be married. I love love, kids and family. I want them all. These days, it is not easy to find a good man and many marriages are falling apart. However, I still believe that there is a man out there for me that I will grow old with.”

Addressing the belief that children would still search for a parent in the future even if they are abandoned by their parents, she said,

“The fact that it works for one person does not mean it would work for others. A lot of parents that abandoned their children are suffering in their old age, simply because they were not there for their children. Parents need to fulfill their responsibilities to their children.”

Speaking about if she could take back a lover who had left her and her children behind, she revealed,

“Yes, I can. But, that is if I have not moved on with another man. It is not easy though, but I can accept him back to father his children. Also, I would be doing it for the kids, and not for him or me. Every child needs their father. However, if I had moved on, I would only accept him for co-parenting; just so the children can have their father in their lives.”

Speaking about her ideal man, Johnson said;

Reality TV star, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, has brutally mocked BBNaija “All Stars” housemate, Seyi Awolowo, for securing the lowest votes in last week’s eviction poll.

During the Sunday live eviction show, Seyi narrowly escaped elimination from the competition after getting the least votes in the poll.

In the poll results, Seyi, Princess, and Ike received the lowest votes last week, with Seyi securing 0.89%, Princess 1.54%, and Ike 1.59%.

However, due to the newly introduced jury system composed of former housemates, Princess was the first to be evicted, even though she had the second lowest number of votes.

In reaction to Seyi’s evident lack of supporters, Tacha took to Twitter to ridicule him for getting the lowest votes.

Tacha, who has always been at odds with Seyi since their time in the BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem’ show, taunted him and said she feels ashamed on his behalf.

Nigerian comedian and actor, AY Makun, has broken his silence following reports of his house catching fire.

According to reports that surfaced on the internet a few hours ago, the socialite’s mansion was on fire, and several items worth millions of dollars were lost.

As soon as the news of the incident broke out, many internet users feared for the comedian’s and his family’s lives.

AY confirmed that he and his family are out and secure from threats, and he calmed all concerns.

He asserted that the most essential things in life are family and God, and everything else is only temporary.

The comedian also mentioned that he will soon be joining his wife and children in the United States.

Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Kiddwaya, has claimed that the women in the reality TV show are a million times inferior to his partner.

He said this to Pere on Sunday when speaking about how he has no interest in forming a love relationship within the Big Brother house.

According to Kiddwaya, none of his female roommates have shown signs of being a good wife by cooking or cleaning in the house.

The billionaire heir claims that after evaluating each female in the house, he does not see himself entering a relationship with any of them while competing on the show.

He said;

“I don’t even want to try and get into anything with anyone in my time here. I’ve got a girl anyway, and my girl is a million times better than all of them here. Like, I haven’t seen anyone clean, I haven’t seen anyone cook, and I haven’t seen anyone with any wife characteristics.”

BBNaija All Stars: Ilebaye issued double strike by big brother for violence (Video)

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” Ilebaye Odiniya has been issued a double strike by Big Brother following her fight with housemates after the Saturday Night Rave.

Big Brother passed his judgment thirty minutes before the eviction show today after showing them footage of their crimes.

Ilebaye was being consoled by a housemate after the Saturday night party when CeeC stepped in and said that the crying and consolation may be a calculated effort to win the show.

This ended in an argument between Ilebaye and CeeC that almost resulted in a fight.

Big Brother convened a meeting in response to the event and played the video of the altercation. He continued by citing Article 15 of the house rules and asserting that they had been broken.

As a result, CeeC was given a warning and told that if she made it through the forthcoming eviction show, she would face additional punishment.

Ilebaye, on the other hand, received a double strike from Big Brother along with a warning that she would be eliminated if she received one more strike.

Additionally, it was made known to both housemates that they would not be taking part in the Black Envelope and Head of House challenges on Big Brother Nigeria.

These actions were taken to maintain discipline within the house and ensure that the rules are adhered to by all the housemates.
