Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has advised his followers to do what works for them and stop taking advice from people on social media.
According to him, 99.9 percent of people who give advice on social media have not figured out their lives.
He wrote,
“Are you still listening to social media advisers?
I laugh.
99.9% of the people advising you have not even figured out the direction of their own lives.
They haven’t solved their own family problems.
Brother, sister, do you.
Do what works for you.
Focus on your journey.”
May, who is represented by Femi Falana and Eculaw group, is also demanding N100 million in damages from Yul and his second wife, Judy Austin, for alleged adultery.
It was also alleged that “both Yul and Judy are avoiding service of the process upon them. The court bailiff has tried so many times to serve them in accordance with the rules of court. But they have evaded service of court process. Despite the braggadocio and the social media stunts, Yul Edochie and Judy are facing serious legal challenges and they seem ill-prepared for them, given the fact that they have been evading service of process.”
May has also filed for a court order to restrain Yul from accessing their former matrimonial home. The businesswoman expressed safety concerns and alleged that the actor’s behavior has been erratic, irrational, aggressive, and increasingly threatening.
She further pointed out that Yul’s actions give the impression that he may be under some unknown influence, the full extent of which remains unclear.
May recounted an incident from the previous week when security officials prevented Yul from entering their home, stating that all matters related to their marriage and dealings are currently subjudice.
According to her, she took this measure to give herself and her children a sense of protection and security.
Popular skit-maker and comedian Abraham Ereme, professionally known as Twyse, has disclosed how Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham ignored him despite having talked him out of ending everything in 2016.
Twyse addressed what had led to these sentiments in a recent interview clip when he opened up about it. In 2016, the comedian made some tweets about leaving the earth, which left many of his fans disturbed.
Speaking about the incident, he disclosed that he simply had a lot going on at the moment and opted to vent online.
Some had been kind enough to get in touch with him. A preacher, well-known people like Falz and Toyin Abraham, and his followers were able to talk him out of it and guide him through that difficult moment.
When he eventually came out of his depression, Toyin Abraham, who had publicly sobbed and pleaded with him not to end it all, subsequently refused to reply to him.
Twyse claimed that he is unsure of her decision to ignore him and that he is not inclined to think that her performance was done purely for show on the internet.
Watch the video below.
Reacting to his accusations, Toyin Abraham’s management released screenshots of chats, revealing that the actress actually reached out to the skit-maker and they were in communication until 2021.
Talent manager, Prince Theophiluz, has encouraged emerging musicians not to sign with the Starboy, 30BG, or Spaceship record labels.
According to the talent manager, these record labels, which are owned by Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, have gained money and are at the height of their careers.
He acknowledged that the young artists these musicians signed to their record labels did not have the time to be nurtured. He cited an example that the artist Davido signed after releasing his Timeless album is nowhere to be found.
He added that it will be difficult for these upcoming artists to make it in their careers because signing under these three record labels, Starboy, 30BG, or Spaceship, is like getting signed under a greater talent.
He emphasized that up-and-coming musicians should never consider contracting with a label that does not have the time to develop their abilities.

In other news, Ace Nigerian musicians, Asake, Odumodublvck, Rema, and others won in a huge way during the 16th Headies Awards, which were held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since its debut in 2006, The Headies Award has played a crucial role in recognizing the exceptional work of African artists in the music industry.
Nigerian songstress Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has expressed her displeasure with the Headies Award organizers for their failure to announce the award category she won onstage.
The 21-year-old singer, renowned for hits like ‘Rush’ and ‘Sability,’ had been nominated alongside other A-list singers such as Tems, Simi, and Tiwa Savage in the Best Female Artiste category, and she emerged as the winner.
However, during the awards ceremony held in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, September 3, the Best Female Artiste category was omitted from the onstage announcements, and Ayra Starr was not presented with her award at the event.
Infuriated by this oversight, Ayra took to Twitter to criticize the organizers for their failure to acknowledge her and her fellow female artistes who invest significant effort into their craft.
She also expressed her lack of appreciation for winning the award due to their lackadaisical attitude towards her.
Ayra tweeted on Monday afternoon,
“I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage ! Best female artist na beans ? We work hard, every single one of us ! I’ve seen Tiwa record 4 hit songs in the same night , Tems breaths and lives for music , we didn’t deserve such nonchalance! Nigeria , you didn’t raise me to settle for less”
Popular Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema, has stated that at award ceremonies, all Afrobeats artists will be grouped together, regardless of what genre Nigerian musicians label their musical genres.
Thee “Bounce” singer stated this in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday as he accepted the 2023 Headies Award for Best Male Artist of the Year.
His comment comes on the heels of Burna Boy dissociating himself from the afrobeats tag on the grounds that it “lacks substance” in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. ICYMI, read here
Rema said,
“I must say it is very important that I should let everyone know that I’m not here because of the awards. I’m here because it is important to support our institutions. And when I said institutions, I mean the bodies that support you to be able to achieve these major successes; the media houses, award organisers, you know.
“\We are in a very sensitive period if we don’t give our attention to our institutions, we will miss this chance that we have. And we will never have this chance again.
Be it afrorave, afro this, afro that, last last, we go jam for afrobeats award. So, this is our chance. We [afrobeats artists] are not the first to do it. Reggae has done it before.”

Reacting to this shocking encounter, Tobi revealed how he had also experienced the same at an event and shared how he got his revenge against the offender.
According to Tobi, he made sure not to include her in all the wedding pictures he took for the day and feigned ignorance of her presence when she queried him about it later.
He wrote;
“I also had an experience, though not from a caterer but the bride’s kid sister. I’ve been with them since Friday evening for a bridal shower and you can’t even buy a sachet of water in the estate, I asked for food and she embarrassed me cuz she was in charge. But I gave her my own judgement by making sure she doesn’t appear in any picture, even in family pictures, I’ll put her at the edge so I can easily crop her out. She later got my number from the bride asking why she wasn’t in all pictures and I told her I didn’t know she part of the wedding,” he wrote.

Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, has criticized the organizers of the Headies for hosting the award ceremony in the United States for two consecutive years.
In a video she shared, the Big Brother Naija star acknowledged that last year’s choice of the United States made sense as Afrobeats was gaining popularity in the country.
However, she expressed her displeasure with them for holding the award show in the United States again, deeming it disrespectful to Nigerians.
Drawing a parallel with American award show, BET awards, Tacha pointed out that the award ceremony can never be held in Africa.
She also recalled how African artistes were once given their award plaques backstage at the BET awards, instead of the main stage.
Speaking further, the 27-year-old influencer asserted that the choice to host the Headies awards in the United States is a manifestation of a “colonial mentality.”
Tacha’s statement has gotten people talking on social media, with many expressing agreement with her opinion.

BBNaija “All Stars” housemate, Adekunle Olopade, has warmed the hearts of many viewers with the creative way he apologized to his love interest, Venita Akpofure.
The on-screen couple had a fallout over the weekend, which strained their relationship. Adekunle had accused Venita of controlling him in the house and involving him in conflicts. They also had a heated argument in the presence of other housemates.
This deeply upset Venita, and she was seen crying as she confided in Kim Oprah about their disagreement. She explained that other housemates were conveying negative sentiments about her to Adekunle, suggesting that she was overdoing things and acting like his wife.
Following their dispute, Adekunle decided to apologize to Venita and mend their relationship. He enlisted the help of fellow housemates, including Neo, Angel, Soma, and Pere, to perform a special rendition of Davido’s song “Feel.”
Through this performance, he conveyed his remorse for his actions and expressed his desire not to sleep alone, yearning to hold her close. Venita was evidently moved by his gesture and accepted him back.
After her acceptance, Adekunle was seen expressing gratitude to his friends for assisting him in winning back the affection of his woman.
Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemate, Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has opened up about his unconventional bathing habit.
He shared this during a candid discussion with his fellow housemates, including Alex, Cross, and Kim Oprah, when the topic of whether any woman has seen his manhood in the house came up.
In response, Whitemoney revealed that he intentionally doesn’t bath naked in the house because he doesn’t want his co-stars to see his huge genitalia.
The 30-year-old reality TV star added that he is a “grower” and his male organ has a tendency to grow substantially when he is sexually aroused, which is why he keeps it from public glare. He also mentioned that he uses XXXL condoms.
Speaking further, he joked that if the ladies were to see his manhood, they might experience orgasm without any physical contact.
His revelation has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many expressing doubt at his claim.

Willie Nwokoye, a former Principal Secretary to the former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has offered a crucial piece of advice to people who eat in public places and events.
Taking to his Facebook page on Sunday, September 3, he advised people who eat out to chew their food properly before swallowing.
He shared this advice while recounting his traumatizing experience at a funeral he attended on Saturday. According to him, he nearly ingested a metal hook while eating Egusi soup at the funeral ceremony.
He posted a photo of the hook and wrote,
“SCARY, VERY SCARY! I’m still fretting. It was yesterday at a funeral VIP tent in my home town Amawbia. I was licking a nice plate of egusi soup. No fish. Therefore no such bones to be cautious about. Only large chunks of beef. I scooped a spoonful of the soup, mainly vegetable and undissolved egusi. Naturally I munched lightly and rolled the things with my tongue to swallow. And click, my teeth ground something metal. I gradually picked it off. And it was this hook! Lesson: eat out, eat public but please carefully chew every scoop properly. Scrutinize every mouthful with your tongue. Something very deadly like this can sneak through public cooking. And find its way into your plate. Imagine if I had gulped this down. God was kind. I’m still thanking.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Panshak Zamani, otherwise known as Ice Prince, has said that Afrobeats singers Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid and Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy long ago predicted their musical success.
The 36-year-old Hip Hop singer claimed that Wizkid made him a promise 10 years ago that he would achieve all of his current musical successes, but he [Ice Prince] was skeptical.
Ice Prince claimed to have witnessed the domestic and international success of musicians like Wizkid and Burna Boy.
The multi-award-winning rapper revealed this in the most recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, which is hosted by UK-based media personality Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo.
He said;
“When I see what afrobeats is achieving right now, it’s just like a dream come true. And not everybody will do it at the same time. But with God and with consistency, we all can do it.
“I remember Wiz [kid] telling me he was going to do all these things like 10 years ago. And at that time, I could have been looking at him like, Nah, you’re crazy. But look, it actually played out to be what it is.
I have seen Burna Boy tell me, Yo, I’m gonna do this. I’m gonna do that. And at that time, it was prophesying, not even sure how it was going to happen.
So, to see it happening now, it was like wow, wow, wow! Dreams do actually come true. I’m super proud of these guys. I’m one of those people that can tell you I watched these guys grow up.”
A Nigerian bride has stirred reactions online as she cried uncontrollably after her fashion designer gave her a non-replica of what she desired the day before her wedding and her parents kicked against her makeup.
The stunning bride could be seen sobbing uncontrollably in a recently circulated video while being comforted by a friend and her photographer.
In a caption attached to the post shared online, it was revealed that the bride expressed her disappointment when she received something different from what she had ordered, and to compound matters, her parents barred her from applying makeup for reasons unknown.
This resulted in her crying on her wedding day and needing comfort from her friends and the photographer.
The caption read, “Barbara, our Obuasi Bride’s day started on a very sad note the night before her wedding. Firstly, her gown came in very late last night, and when she tried it on, she noticed that it wasn’t exactly what she wanted, so she cried throughout the night.
This morning, unfortunately, some of the vendors were behind time due to a downpour the previous night. When we got to the hotel for her prep this morning, the bride was still sad; her spirit was dampened because she had been crying the previous night, and arrangements were not going as planned.
What made matters worse was that, her family was constantly calling her not to put on make up. However, her photographer kept consoling and reassured her that everything will go as planned. That’s one thing I have notice about kingKwekuAnanse Photography, his charisma is unmatched. He puts in effort to make sure the day of every bride ends on a happy note.”
Popular Nollywood actress,Mercy Aigbe has revealed the qualities that make her fall in love more with her husband.
Speaking in an interview with Punch News, she stated that her husband was not a typical Nigerian man who had a big ego and was always respectful and understanding.
According to her, they were both stubborn but they always respected each other’s opinions and didn’t argue unnecessarily.
She added that the fact that he always apologized to her whenever he was wrong made her fall in love with him more.
She said,
“We disagree. I am very stubborn, and he is also stubborn. However, we respect each other’s opinions, and we don’t argue unnecessarily.
Rather, we argue sensibly, and then we don’t look down on each other. Whenever anyone of us makes a point, we both think about it, and figure out the best way to do things.

He is actually a very understanding person, and he is not the bossy type. He is a good listener, and that makes him a good leader. Whenever I talk, he listens. He tries to reason with me, and we meet in the middle.
