Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has cautioned his colleagues not to attend concerts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun state.

The OAU official page took to Twitter to invite artistes organize their shows at the university, promising nothing but fun and a good time.

“Don’t listen to them! Fucking Liars.

Soldier reportedly damages car of abroad returnee after they cautioned him for driving recklessly (Video)

A Nigerian soldier has reportedly damaged the car of an abroad returnee following their advice about his irresponsible driving.

A couple engaged in a conversation with the soldier who had stopped them on the roadside to demonstrate his authority in a video that was making the rounds on social media.

According to the returnee couple, the soldier reacted forcefully to their warning and assaulted them while also causing damage to their vehicle.

A Twitter activist, Femi Adeyeye, raised the Nigerian Army’s attention to the regrettable deed of one of its military members and shared details of all that transpired.

While sharing the video on his page, he wrote;

“A couple arriving from the US and heading to Ota, Ogun State had a brawl on the road with a soldier.
According to reports, even from witnesses, the said soldier was driving recklessly and this couple had to caution him to be careful, lest he causes an accident…

The next thing was that he pursued them, overtook, jumped out of his car in a gestapo manner, asked the woman to open the car that he needs to “discipline” both of them. I have never seen this kind of horror before, happening especially to people who were just arriving Nigeria…

after their years of sojourn abroad. This is sickening.
The @HQNigerianArmy must be compelled to look into this nonsense. Why would a soldier put lives in danger for hours, damage people’s car and threaten to kill, just because he was cautioned? What kind of society is this?

The couple remained calm in the car as seen in these videos, refused to open and the soilder, as if he’s under the influence of drugs, held on to their mirror, broke it, broke the window, smashed the body of the car.”

Charging Made Effortless – Infinix NOTE 30 Pro & NOTE 30 VIP Delivers 15W and 50W Wireless Fast Charging for an Enhanced Experience

Infinix NOTE 30 Pro & NOTE 30 VIP Delivers

Wireless charging has become a popular feature in high-end flagship smartphones. It offers convenient and cable-free charging, which is highly favored by users, especially among the younger generation. Moreover, wireless charging technology enhances safety by eliminating the risks associated with damaged or aging charging cables. It’s an advanced technology that combines practicality and safety. Infinix takes it a step further by equipping the NOTE 30 VIP and the Note 30 Pro with powerful 50W and 15W wireless fast charging respectively, providing flagship-level wireless charging at an affordable price.

Infinix NOTE 30 Pro & NOTE 30 VIP Delivers

The Infinix NOTE 30’s wireless fast charging brings several unique benefits to typical users. One of them is in-car wireless charging, aligning with the growing trend of wireless charging modules in modern vehicles. By placing the Infinix NOTE 30 Pro or Note 30 VIP in the car’s wireless charging slot, users can charge their phones while navigating or alleviate battery anxiety during the journey, ensuring they have a fully charged device when they reach their destination.

Infinix NOTE 30 Pro & NOTE 30 VIP Delivers

The second scenario involves the work desk, which often becomes cluttered with tangled charging cables, creating a messy appearance. The 15W wireless charging pad of the Infinix NOTE 30 Pro and Note 30 VIP eliminates cable tangling, providing a cleaner and tidier desk environment. This is ideal for those who appreciate a minimalist workspace. When you arrive at the office in the morning and realize your Infinix NOTE 30 Pro or Note 30 VIP is running low on battery, simply place it on the wireless charger and continue recharging while you work.

The third scenario occurs in hotels, airports, cafes, or restaurants where fixed wireless charging devices are commonly available. These charging modules support various wireless charging protocols and offer fast charging capabilities. If you happen to forget your charger at home or have it inconveniently stored in the bottom of your suitcase, you can easily place your Infinix NOTE 30 Pro and Note 30 VIP on the public wireless charging device to temporarily replenish the power. This ensures your phone stays connected and avoids any emergencies caused by a dead battery.

Infinix NOTE 30 Pro & NOTE 30 VIP Delivers

The fourth scenario takes place at the bedside table. It’s a common frustration for young people to fumble in the dark, searching for the charging cable before going to sleep while engrossed on TikTok. As a result, many users habitually place their phones on the bedside table, only to wake up to a dead battery in the morning. With the NOTE 30 Series, simply put a wireless charger on the bedside table. When you place your phone on it before bed, you’ll wake up to a fully charged phone ready for the day.

Wireless charging functions are typically found in high-priced Apple phones and select Android flagship models. This is because wireless charging requires advanced chips and higher charging power, resulting in relatively higher manufacturing costs.

While the iPhone 14 series supports up to 15W wireless fast charging, its expensive price tag may deter many users. In contrast, the affordable Infinix Note 30 VIP and NOTE 30 Pro not only supports 50W and 15W wireless fast charging respectively.  But they also include reverse wireless charging, a feature not available in the iPhone 14. This means the NOTE 30 Pro and Note 30 VIP can act as a wireless charger in emergencies, expanding the phone’s usability in various scenarios.

Infinix prioritizes user experience and has invested more to incorporate wireless fast charging technology into the NOTE 30 Series. This allows more users to enjoy the convenience and efficiency of high-power wireless fast charging at an affordable price, reinforcing the NOTE 30 Series dominance in a fiercely competitive market.

The Infinix NOTE 30 Pro and NOTE 30 VIP can be purchased at any authorized Infinix retail outlet nationwide. You get the opportunity to win instant gift items and enter the #CelebrateInfinixAt10 Mega draw to win the Note 30 smartphone and a range of modern home appliances if you purchase the Infinix NOTE 30, NOTE 30 Pro, NOTE 30 5G, or NOTE 30 VIP in the month of July.

“People are still telling me that Ricardo isn’t real, that he’s scamming me and that he’s not in Canada. “I don’t believe them … I believe Ricardo’s real,” Terri lamented.

Dr. Phil agreed with Tammy’s doubts and unveiled the truth about “Ricardo” by fact-checking the story he fed Terri.

Apparently, the man in the photos he sent to Terri’s real name is “James,” and it turns out that this is not the first time his photos have been used in romance scams.

James revealed that his pictures were taken from his social media accounts and exploited for romance scams.

“I’ve been dealing with this for over 10 years,” James said in a video sent to the “Dr. Phil” show. “I hope this video can show that I am the person in the photos, but I am not the person that Terri has been talking to and sending money to.”

Following the exposure, Terri revealed that she was heartbroken to discover that her lover was not real and vowed to block the scammer and get a new number.

The organizers of Headies award have set tongues wagging on social media after they snubbed popular singer, Wizkid, in their 2023 nomination list for the first time since 2011.

Headies released the nomination list for the 2023 edition of the annual award show on July 12, and netizens couldn’t help but notice that Wizkid’s name was conspiciously absent from all the categories.

Thought absent, other Nigerian artistes including Burna Boy, Asake, Kizz Daniel dominated the list with nominations in several categories, while Davido’s ‘Timeless’ album was nominated in the Album of the Year category.

 Headies snub

The news has triggered mixed reactions on the internet, as this is the first time in 12 years that Wizkid has not been nominated for a Headies award.

It is, however, worth noting that Wizkid has received an impressive collection of 20 Headies awards in the past.

“The way you treated your wife when you were healthy always shows in the way she will treat you when you are sick” – Nigerian male nurse advises married men

A Nigerian male nurse has taken to social media to share lessons he observed from working in a male ward while advising men to treat their wives well.

In a series of tweets, the nurse stated that his experience in hospital wards has shown that the only person who’s going to be by a married man’s bedside when he is sick is his wife.

According to him, the way men treat their wives when they are healthy always determines how the women would treat them when they become ill.

He wrote;

“Dear Men!!!

After almost 2 years of working as a nurse in a male ward, I can tell you 2 things I’ve observed.
1, As a married man, the only person who’s going to be by your bedside when you are sick is your wife. I repeat, your wife.

On rare occasions, your kids will be there. For a while though. Only your wife can leave whatever she’s doing to be with you.
Your siblings may come and go, your friends may visit, but she is the only one who will wholeheartedly stay with you throughout your ordeal.

2, The way you treated your wife when you were healthy always shows in the way she will treat you when you are sick.
I’ve seen this pattern play out daily. You see those wives who are being treated well doing everything they can to make their husbands get well.

They disturb the health care practitioners, they cry, they rake, they go above and beyond to make their husbands get better.
Well, the reverse is the case with the abused wife. Her laissez faire attitude will be topnotch. You will sleep and wake up in your poo. You’ll starve.

She’s just staying there for staying sake. Some will leave you in the hospital for like 2 or 3 days before returning from wherever they went to unwind.
You will report to your people, they’ll yell on the phone and still nothing will happen.

One told her in-laws to come and cut her hands and place it on her husband’s buttocks to clean his poo.
You will do nothing. Your family will do nothing.
You will be helpless.
I know you must be thinking that you can revenge if she’s the one on sick bed but No you can’t.

Why? Because you won’t be the one taking care of her during her time in the hospital. You can’t even bring yourself to sleep in the hospital. You’ll employ the services of other people to do the job for you. Her people too will be there for her.

Your children will be hovering around her.
You think I’m lying? Try walking into any hospital, compare the male wards and the female wards.
You will have a clear understanding of what I’m talking about.
Whenever I hear men brag about cheating and supremacy, I laugh.

Do not dare your woman. For you’ll pay through your nose when the time comes.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Treat your women better.”
