BBNaija level-up winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has finally addressed her altercation with her co-star, Chichi, during their reunion show.

Recall that during the reunion, Phyna had alleged in a fit of rage that Chichi is a married mother of two who abandoned her children in Benin.

Not stopping there, Phyna took to social media after the show aired and claimed that Chichi paid N3.5 million for liposuction and allegedly poisoned her friend in Cyprus due to jealousy before returning to Nigeria.

During a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Phyna clarified that her response to Chichi was not unprovoked.

She explained that she reacted to the offensive comments Chichi had made about her, comments that were not aired by BBNaija organizers.

She claimed that Chichi body-shamed her, called her an “abortionist” and made other derogatory remarks about her. According to her, she could not allow Chichi bodyshame her when she has a natural body.

On the N100 million lawsuit, Phyna stated that she was unfazed by the threat and was ready to go to court.

“The way I attacked her they should have known she said something, that part was mute. Because the previous day, you body shamed me, you called me shapeless and saggy boobs, that’s why I had to use the word for her that she would record in her heart and brain. Because you can’t be body-shaming me that have a natural body, I had to remind her that there are stuff.

You called me an abortionist, I reminded you that you have two kids that you abandoned.

Two days later, she is suing me in court for N100 million for libel and defamation of character. I called my lawyer that if we didn’t reply to the lawsuit, what would happen? My lawyer said if we didn’t reply within 7 days, she could charge me in court. The next day I bought a suit to prepare for court.”

Nigerian indigenous rapper, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno, has given his manager a brand new Maserati, apparently worth 40 million naira days after buying 20 homes in Lagos.

The manager, Prince, took to his Instagram page to share news of the gift he received from the musician.

Just a few days after purchasing 20 homes in Lagos for millions of naira, Phyno purchased a stunning blue Maserati for the manager.

Former security guards turned content creators, Happie Boys, have taken to social media to seek the forgiveness of their benefactor, OPM founder Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.

In a video shared online by the young men who gained popularity after being fired from their jobs for dancing while on duty, they pleaded with the clergyman to have mercy on them because things are not going well for them in Cyprus.

This comes a few weeks after they shunned his offer to sponsor their return ticket to Nigeria to continue their education in any university of their choice in Nigeria or Benin Republic after they called him out for putting a stop to their scholarship at a Cyprus university.

They also remained aresolute in their decision to remain in Cyprus and find a way to fend for themselves. They even took dancing gigs at clubs for a stipend.

Happie Boys apologizes

Following the incident, they started making snide remarks about the clergyman and throwing shades at him on social media since he stopped their scholarship over economic reasons.

Surprisingly, the young men went online today to tender an apology to the clergyman and Nigerians at large for their actions. They also said they are willing to return to Nigeria to apologize to the pastor.

They also vowed not to speak ill about the pastor again, and sought his blessings so that things will start working for them again.

A convicted fraudster, Larry Sinclair, has once again recounted his alleged sexual encounter with former US president, Barrack Obama.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson on September 6, Sinclair claimed that they both used cocaine and engaged in sexual activities in Chicago, USA, in 1999.

According to Sinclair, he met Obama through a limousine driver who was acquainted with the then-Illinois representative.

Convicted fraudster claims

He alleged that he and Obama used crack cocaine together, and then he performed oral sex on him (Obama). He said Obama visited his hotel room the following day, and the same thing occured.

Sinclair added that he believes that Obama had engaged in sexual relationships with men before their encounters and had used crack cocaine before.

He claimed that Obama had a troubled marriage at the time, and described him as a “manipulative” person who wanted to exploit him.

Convicted fraudster claims

Sinclair first made these claims over 15 years ago but has never presented any concrete evidence to support his allegations against the former U.S. president.

UNILAG lecturer accused of rap!ng 20-year-old female student in his office

The Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Dr. Kadiri Akeem, a lecturer at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), for allegedly raping a 20-year-old female undergraduate student.

The alleged victim – whose identity was not disclosed – accused Dr. Kadiri, an Associate Professor of Botany, of sexually defiling her during her visit to his office to address issues related to her result.

According to the victim who reported him to an NGO called the Inclusive Social Welfare and Empowerment Foundation, the incident occurred on August 16, 2023.

The NGO subsequently reported the case to the Gender Unit of the state Police Command, prompting action from the Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa. A warrant of arrest for Dr. Kadiri was then issued by the state High Court through the OC Gender.

UNILAG lecturer accused

The Vice Chancellor of the university was given a seven-day ultimatum to produce Dr. Babalola for questioning. When questioned, the lecturer reportedly confessed to the crime.

Upon learning of this confession, the Vice Chancellor promptly notified the police through the school’s Chief Security Officer, leading to Dr. Babalola’s arrest.

The spokesperson for the state Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, have confirmed the arrest and stated that the suspect would be charged to court soon.

“He is to appear in court in the coming days,” the PPRO added.

In other news, a 100-level student of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), identified as Atanda Modupe Deborah, has been found dead two days after her disappearance.

A Nigerian woman, who recently underwent a cesarean section (C-section) to give birth to twins, has cried out after being assaulted by her husband.

The woman, who anonymously reached out to human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, disclosed that her husband has beaten her twice since she gave birth.

She further revealed that he also beat her up when she was heavily pregnant with their twin children. According to the lady resident in Asaba, Delta state capital, she needs help.

A 100-level student of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), identified as Atanda Modupe Deborah, has been found dead two days after her disappearance.

It was gathered that Modupe, who was enrolled in the Nursing Department, stream A, in the Faculty of Basic Medical Science, went missing after she went to her class to study on Monday night, Septmeber 4, 2023.

When she failed to return from her night reading, her roommates grew concern and declared her missing.

Tragically, Modupe’s lifeless body was discovered buried in a shallow grave behind her faculty building, on Wednesday, September 6, and her eyes were reportedly plucked out.

In response to this harrowing situation, the University’s Registrar, Mufutau Ibrahim, released a statement on Wednesday evening, instructing all students to vacate the campuses immediately.

The university’s administration also revealed that they had rapidly deployed armed security personnel for increased patrols, surveillance, and enhanced security measures.

Furthermore, they reported that multiple individuals had been arrested in connection with the murder.

The statement reads;

“The University Management has received a report on the case of Ms Modupe Deborah Atanda who was reported missing as at Wednesday, 6th September 2023; and Management is saddened at the current turn of events.

“It is pertinent to promptly inform the entire University community that immediate steps have been taken in this regard, as all National Security Personnel have been drafted to handle the situation. As a matter of fact, several arrests have been made of suspects.

“To this end, all students (Stream A and any other full-time student still on any of the University’s campuses) are hereby directed to vacate the premises with immediate effect to ensure a proper, holistic and unimpeded thorough investigation, please.

“Rest assured that all steps would be taken by the University to fish out any and all culpable persons; and they shall face the full and unmitigated consequences of their action(s)

US-based Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi, has cried out over a painful experience of being mistreated by police officers in Lagos.

The mother of two shared her displeasure with the treatment she suffered from police officers while on a Lagos road.

She expressed her dissatisfaction with the cops’ treatment of her and their friend during a regular inspection of their car in an Instagram post.

Korra brought up an instance where a police officer disregarded their request to lock the car doors so that they could conduct a thorough examination of their paperwork.

She also recalled another interaction in which an officer knelt on the driver’s seat and conducted a thorough inside check of the vehicle.

The cops searched Korra’s bag and personal items during a quick meal, which Korra thought was harsh.

Korra responded by urging the police to focus on catching dishonest politicians rather than harassing young people.

She argued that by refocusing their efforts, the nation’s high fuel prices might be reduced.

Controversial relationship expert, Okoro Blessing, also known as Blessing CEO has opined that record breaking chef, Hilda Baci is loved and celebrated by Nigerians mostly because of her curvy body, not her food.

Blessing CEO made this statement on the most recent episode of the Terms & Conditions podcast, while discussing how many people had improved their bodies through Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL).

The self-described relationship expert claims that a woman’s body attracts men before her brains. To back up her argument, she cited the well-known chef Hilda Baci.

According to Blessing CEO, who also noted that the cook is a beautiful woman with high aspirations, Hilda defies the stereotype that “attractive women don’t like to work.”

Blessing continued by saying that Nigerians were only drawn to her body after that.

In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the award-winning thespian and movie producer stated that she regrets walking down the aisle.

Ini Edo got married to American-based businessman, Philip Ehiagwina, on November 29, 2008, but the marriage only lasted for five years, and they finally divorced in 2013.

This was revealed by Asake, who prayed to God to enable the partnership, in an interview with Billboard News.

He stated that he prefers to collaborate with musicians he knows and is comfortable with.

Asake said,

“For me, I need to like the person before I can make music with you. I need to be comfortable with you. Not even because of the music alone.

A Nigerian man identified as Abubakar Isa Rrw has shared his motivating tale and his experience taking the English language tests.

The man confessed in a post on his Facebook page that despite passing other courses on his WAEC exam, he had failed English language.

Abubakar said that he had taken courage and written another examination, and this time, resolved that he would achieve an A grade.

Unfortunately, he had once again failed the WAEC English language exam.

He was unfazed by this, though, and made the decision to take the English Language Testing System (IELTS), a test of language proficiency created by the British Council and Cambridge Assessment English.

Abubakar disclosed that his preparation for the test had only taken a week, and his performance was successful enough to get him two overseas scholarships.

In his words,

“My little story with English Language Exam. In 2007, I took the WAEC exam at Dawakin Kudu Science College. Despite having good grades in all the other subjects, I failed the English language in my WAEC result. When I registered for another SSCE, my intention was to get an A, not even a B.

Despite all the courage I had for that exam, I wrote it to the best of my ability at Government Secondary School in Kano, and I passed all the subjects except for the English language.

For the first time, I decided to register for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), an English Language proficiency test developed and run by the British Council in partnership with Cambridge Assessment English.

I studied for it within a week and achieved a better result. I secured two overseas scholarships with that IELTS. result. Alhamdulillah”

The Presidential Election Petitions Court has ruled that the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, failed to specify how they obtained the majority of lawful votes during the February 25 presidential election.

In the leading judgment delivered by Justice Abba Bello Mohammed, the tribunal concluded that the Labour Party made generic allegations of irregularities, vote suppression, and corrupt practices that allegedly affected their votes, especially in states like Rivers, Benue, Lagos, Taraba, Imo, and Osun.

However, they failed to specify the specific polling units affected or present concrete evidence to substantiate their claims.

The court noted that although Peter Obi and the LP asserted that they secured the majority of lawful votes cast, they did not provide the actual number of lawful votes they received.

“The determination of election is about figures,” the court held.

Justice Mohammed further ruled that LP failed to substantiate their claims of overvoting against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the corresponding reduction in their own vote count.
