Nigerian rapper, Cynthia Morgan has stated that she strongly agrees with the Bible’s teaching that sexual activity should exclusively happen within the confines of marriage.

According to her, among all the teachings in the Bible, the one that she agrees with the most is that sex should only be between married couples.

Taking to her Instastory, the rapper acknowledged that people may stray from the ideal due to various reasons, including lack of awareness or other factions.

She, however, stated that she firmly believes that sex was originally intended for married couples.

Her post reads,

“If there’s one thing I agree the most with in the Bible it will be that sex should only be for married people.
I know… We all sin and fall short of his glory either out of ignorance or even i2no… but sincerely sex is /was designed for married people. Thank you”

A while back, Cynthia Morgan berated US-based Nigerian professor, Uju Anya, over her recent post on Twitter.
Uju, who is quite controversial because of her sexuality and opinions, had taken to the microblogging platform to share photos of herself tying a wrapper around her chest and smoking a cigarette on the balcony of her home.

She captioned the post, “Minister of Enjoyment”.

This didn’t sit well with Cynthia Morgan and she expressed her disagreement with Uju for equating smoking cigarettes with enjoyment.

“Smoking cigarettes is not part of enjoyment,” she replied.

Kindness is not enough reason to marry a man – Lady says as she dishes advice to singles

A divorced Nigerian woman has opined that a man being kind is not enough reason to marry him.

She stated this opinion while replying to a lady on the microblogging platform, X, who asked married people to share advice with those looking at getting married.

According to the lady identified as Rene, kindness was not enough of a reason to marry a man if he did not possess other core qualities.

She wrote;

“I’m divorced so it’s up to you if you listen or not.
1. Whatever you accept while dating will get worse once you get married.
2. If he’s mean to his family, you’re in for a ride
3. KINDNESS IS NOT ENOUGH. I know the bar is low but if a man being kind is enough to sway you then you’re in trouble. Does he have the core qualities you value in a man, i don’t mean a perfect man but a man who ticks most of the CORE qualities.
4. If you’re desperate to get married you’ll do anything and take anything to stay married.
5. Compromise is key, don’t expect a perfect man, work with a man who’s willing to listen and grow with you.
There’s more but I’ll stop here.”

When asked to expatiate on why kindness is not enough for a woman to marry a man, she wrote;

1. A kind person might not share the same values and principles as you

It’s no secret that Adekunle and Venita have been glued to each other since the show began, and have also been sharing a bed.

The couple has never concealed their feelings for each other and proudly displays the fact that they are an item on the show.

During a casual chat with his fellow housemate Cross this morning, Adekunle, who is eight years younger than Venita, stated that he is a married man.

Though he did not specifically mention being married to Venita, it is evident that he was referring to his relationship to the mother of two.

“No No No I’m a married man”, the 28-year-old housemate who donned a grey suit said.

In other news, Venita and her cousin, Neo Akpofure, have finally settled their longstanding issue in the house.

There has been tension between the cousins since the show began, primarily revolving around Venita’s relationship with her romantic interest, Adekunle, whom she has been showing more commitment and loyalty to, amongst other issues.

This has caused a huge friction between them, leading to multiple heated exchanges. However, the duo have finally decided to bury the hatchet and resolve their lingering beef.

Last night, they had an emotional conversation where they addressed their issue, and Venita was heard telling Neo that he needs to do better.

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, took a break during his Sunday Afronation concert in Detroit, Michigan, to pay respect to his colleague, Wizkid’s late mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun.

On August 18, 2023, Wizkid lost his mother to the icy grip of death.

Fans and colleagues of the award-winning artist have paid tribute to his late mom at their performances, while others have posted condolence messages on their social media pages.

Davido expressed his condolences to WizKid and mentioned that he was familiar with loss because he had lost his mother, Mrs. Veronica Adekunle.

According to him, Wizkid had the chance to honor his mother with his musical accomplishments before she passed away.

He said;

“Personally, I have lost so many people in my life. And I want to send condolences to my brother, Ayo Balogun Wizkid. To his mother, may her soul rest in peace.

I lost my mother myself years ago. But I know whatever he [Wizkid] has done, he has made his mother proud.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye of PSquare music group, and his ex-wife, Anita Okoye, appear to still have a good relationship despite their contentious divorce.

The couple, whose divorce was finalized in December 2022, took their kids to the singer’s rehearsal for his performance at the Afronation concert in Detroit, US.

Paul took to his Instagram page to share a video of the moment he went to pick up Anita and their kids from their home, and drove them to the concert venue.

According to the singer, he chose to bring his children along to his rehearsal so that they can witness what he does for a living.

In the video, Paul was seen teaching his children his dance routine for the concert, which they found a bit challenging to grasp. However, Anita didn’t partake in any of the activities during the rehearsal.

He captioned the video, “Took the kids out for sound check in Detroit, to experience what papa does for a living”.

The video has caused a buzz on social media, with many fans of the couple hoping for their reconciliation.

It’s worth noting that the 41-year-old musician has since moved on from their failed marriage and is now dating a TikTok influencer, Ivy Ifeoma.

Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedezie has reminisced about the first time he met Osita Iheme (Aki), his best friend, and how they connected right away.

The actor, who is now 41, spoke about the incident in an interview with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

Chinedu Ikedieze recalled their first encounter, saying it took place in Aba, where he used to live with his uncle.

The tailor there at the time would inform him that the clothing he had brought had been finished every time he went to the market.

He was frequently perplexed by this since he was confident that he never packed clothing. The confusion persisted, and some of his classmates at the time informed him that they had seen someone who resembled him identically.

He said that’s how their conversation continued until he eventually got to see Osita for himself.

Chinedu claims that when he first met Osita, they bonded right away. It was a type of immediate chemistry, according to him.

He emphasized their on-set performances and how they covered for one another when they forgot to say their script lines.

The diminutive actor said that it was always so simple for them to be so spontaneous that it would just take a person reading the genuine script to recognize that what they had done or said wasn’t in the movie script whenever they were on set and one person forgot a script line.

In other news, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has revealed why they choose rapper Naira Marley for their war against drug abuse campaign.

In an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, explained that they chose Naira Marley because of his influence as the leader of the “Marlian movement.”

He said,

“It is an advocacy engagement with him. It is what we do as part of the responsibilities of the agency to promote advocacy messages that would discourage people from substance abuse. It is about the message.

Racheal Ikumelo, the sister of Nigerian woman Rebecca Ikumelo, who tragically lost her life during a stampede at a concert hosted by singer Asake at Brixton O2 Academy on Thursday, December 15, 2022, has called him out for using her image without her family’s consent.

The “Lonely at the top” crooner held a concert at O2 Arena, London, on Sunday, August 20, 2023, and paid tribute to the two women who passed away during the stampede last year.

When Rachel saw a video of the tribute played at the concert, she was deeply infuriated and took to Twitter to criticize the singer for using her sister’s image without reaching out to their family beforehand.

“What a sorry excuse of a “tribute” from @asakemusik. My sister lost her life at your show and you haven’t spoken to a single member of my family since. But you can hold another concert in London less than 9 months later and play her videos as a “tribute”?

In response to her outburst, a staunch fan of the singer said Asake released a statement in which he sent a condolence to the family shortly after the tragic incident.

Reality TV star, Kiddwaya’s mum, Susan Waya has revealed the cause of her joy despite her son being evicted from the show.

Recall that Kiddwaya was the third housemate eliminated from Season 8 of the show as a result of a unanimous jury’s decision.

In response to her son’s eviction, Mrs. Waya said it made her feel good to know he was safe from Seyi, who she said had threatened him after a fight.

Susan Waya had promised to sue Seyi just a few hours back for threatening her son on live television after they had a fight. Taking to her Instagram page, she wrote;

Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu, has revealed that the reason his marriage to his ex-wife, Ibiere Maclayton, did not succeed was because he neglected to seek God’s guidance.

In an interview with The Punch, the “Rattle Snake” star made this statement while discussing his marital problems and battle with a brain tumor.

According to Julius Agwu, his wife was drawn to him because of his wealth when they were married, and when he began to experience health problems, she made the decision to leave.

He said;

“I believe that any marriage without God would not last. When I married my wife, I did not even consult God. Some of us got married when there was so much money, and at that time, practically every girl wanted to be with us. But, after marriage, if anything happens to one, they would say, “I don’t want this man again”. I suggest that people should consult God first before getting married.”

During the live eviction show today, August 20, the show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu disclosed that fresh housemates will be entering the house later tonight.

Reality TV Star and billionaire heir, Terseer Waya, better known as Kiddwaya, has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija All-Stars house.

The 30-year-old housemate was booted out of the show during the Sunday live eviction show today, August 20, by the unanimous decision of the jury.

The jury, which consisted of former housemates Saskay, Elozonam and Vee, were charged with the responsibility of saving either one of the two housemates with the lowest votes, Tolanibaj and Kiddwaya, and they saved the former.

This makes Kiddwaya the third housemate to be evicted from the show, thereby kissing the N120 million grand prize goodbye.

Although, the billionaire son once remarked that the award money was “chicken change” to him and that the main reason he went on the show was to promote his company.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has revealed why they choose rapper Naira Marley for their war against drug abuse campaign.

Recall that Naira Marley visited the Agency’s headquarters on Thursday, August 17, where he declared his support for the war against substance abuse.

However, this didn’t go down well with many Nigerians who criticized the agency for choosing Naira Marley to speak against drug abuse, despite his history of promoting and using drugs.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, also went online to express her disappointment in the agency for inviting the 32-year-old rapper for their drug abuse advocacy.

“This I must say is the biggest embarrassment from any government agency/drug law enforcement agency,” she said in part.

In an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, explained that they chose Naira Marley because of his influence as the leader of the “Marlian movement.”

He said,

Joseph Iniyezo, the brother of popular singer Joshua Iniyezo, better known as Solidstar, has revealed that the singer is seriously sick.

In a video shared on his verified Instagram page, Joseph disclosed that the singer is facing a health challenge and battling a lot mentally.

Though he didn’t reveal the nature of his illness, he stated that their family thought they could handle the situation internally, but that it is now beyond them and they need the assistance of his friends, colleagues, and fans.

Just recently, May Edochie initiated divorce proceedings against her husband, actor Yul Edochie, with whom she has three children.

May, who is represented by Femi Falana and Eculaw group, is also demanding N100 million in damages from Yul and his second wife, Judy Austin, for alleged adultery.

It was also alleged that “both Yul and Judy are avoiding service of the process upon them. The court bailiff has tried so many times to serve them in accordance with the rules of court. But they have evaded service of court process. Despite the braggadocio and the social media stunts, Yul Edochie and Judy are facing serious legal challenges and they seem ill-prepared for them, given the fact that they have been evading service of process.”

May has also filed for a court order to restrain Yul from accessing their former matrimonial home. The businesswoman expressed safety concerns and alleged that the actor’s behavior has been erratic, irrational, aggressive, and increasingly threatening.

She further pointed out that Yul’s actions give the impression that he may be under some unknown influence, the full extent of which remains unclear.

May recounted an incident from the previous week when security officials prevented Yul from entering their home, stating that all matters related to their marriage and dealings are currently subjudice.

berated Doyin for dragging Venita’s children into their messy fight while they clashed on Friday night.

This happened after Ike scattered Ilebaye’s clothes in order to provoke her into getting another strike, and his actions were revealed by Big Brother.

The terrible act hadn’t gone unnoticed by some housemates, Venita among others but she chose to keep mute and did not speak on it even after Doyin questioned her about it the next morning.

Ike was issued a strike as well as a punishment for the act if he survived the coming eviction on Sunday, while Venita and Seyi were warned to be better housemates and stand in the face of injustice.

Doyin, who felt it was her place to defend Ilebaye, blasted Venita for being aware of what Ike did and keeping silent.

She dragged Venita’s children into it by saying that Venita should behave like a mother because she had two daughters and her behavior was complacent to Ike’s crimes.

In a recent interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Uriel revealed that she suffers from amenorrhea, characterized by not having periods from puberty through menopause.

According to Uriel, she viewed this period as the most challenging of her life, as doctors told her she might not be able to conceive.

In her words,

“Before I decided to embark on a health journey, I had health challenges. One of them was that I didn’t see my period for four years. And I remember going to the doctors in the UK, and they told me that there was a high possibility that I would never be able to have children. That time, my niece was two years old and I remember leaving the office thinking, ‘Oh! I will never be able to have a child.’

I went into a state of depression. I was so depressed that I couldn’t watch kids on TV. I hated going past schools or parks because I would be reminded constantly that I may not be able to be a mother. So, it reached a point where I said, ‘Okay, if I can’t be a mother, I would have my niece as mine.’ And that is why, till today, we [my niece and I] are very close because she looks at me as a second mother.”

Veteran Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, also known as Osuofia, has experienced the heartbreaking loss of his daughter, Kosisochukwu, on June 28, 2023.

According to reports circulating online, Kosi, who was only 24-year-old, passed away after battling liver cancer.

The family has shared the burial arrangements for the deceased, and she will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 18.
