30-year-old Houston based mother named Sheborah Thomas, seen in the photo above allegedly drowned her 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter in a bathtub, hid their bodies and requested for help from a neighbour to run away.
Reports have it that Sheborah, who has no history of any mental illness, drowned the two children Orayln and Kahana in a bathtub and tried burying her children in her backyard.
When it was proving too difficult to cover up, she hid their bodies under a neighbor’s home instead. Days after the act, Sheborah told an acquaintance who came upon her throwing away trash in a field, that she needed help moving right away.
When she was asked about her kids, Sheborah calmly admitted to killing two of her three children, and burying them under the house.
“She was so matter of fact about it he didn’t think she was serious. He thought she was joking,” Houston police spokesman Kese Smith said.
The shocked neighbor drove Shenborah to the nearest police precinct after realizing she repeatedly confirmed killing two of her three children.
Police eventually recovered the children’s bodies under the house, just as Sheborah confessed and she now faces capital murder charges

The mother of Amina Ali, who is a part of the Chibok school girls who was rescued in May this year after being in Boko Haram captivity for over two years, spoke to BBC about her daughter Amina.
According to her, Amina told her that some of the girls she was kidnapped alongside with died during childbirth while others were killed during bomb attacks.
“She said some of the girls died in childbirth. Others were killed by bombs. Some girls were deafened by the explosions. Some of the girls were wounded and their legs were broken”.

According to Amina’s mother, some of the girls were given out as wives to Boko Haram fighters
“The man my daughter was given to was from Mubi. He was a mechanic when Boko Haram came. Everyone one ran away but he was under a car didn’t see them coming. They captured him and Amina was given to him as wife. He told her that they should run away that night. He promised to reunite Amina and her family even if it will cost him his life. My mind is at rest. Right now, we are not together but we do talk on the phone. At the moment, I don’t know if she is back in school or not. Before I left her she wasn’t in school. Amina said she doesn’t want to go to school again. She told the president that she wants the government to buy her sewing machines. She wants to learn tailoring and to own a shop”

She said she wept when she met her daughter after she was rescued
“When I saw her, I hugged her and started to cry. Amina said “Mama you should be happy I came out alive. Two years and three months and now you see me, lets be thankful. Then I held her in my arms. I was crying tears of joy.”

Brother of celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji, Peks Ikeji, who has always been a subject of ridicule on Social media because of his quite pompous attitude, was alleged by a Nairaland post to have a tattoo of his sister’s name on his arms as seen above.
He took to his IG page moments ago to debunk the rumour saying he doesn’t have a tattoo of his sister’s name on his arms. He wrote alongside the photo:
“Just seeing dis..??? just for the record, I don’t have linda ikeji’s tattoo on my arm.”

The true love story of this couple you’re about to read is certainly not one you read everyday – not something you just stumble while reading a Harlequin series or Sidney Sheldon probably.
This is a beautiful love story of Sophie and McEva – the lovely couple who met in traffic while the groom was giving alms to the less privileged.

We ain’t gonna say much, just read their amazing story as narrated by the bride and enjoy their photos!
“While i was stuck in traffic on my way to silverbird TV in Abuja, I saw a guy giving some money to a little boy, when the others noticed, about 12/15 of them gathered around him to help them as well, and I thought to myself “this cute guy just got himself into trouble”.

He gave them some money and they fled. Somehow, our eyes met and I kept smiling, the traffic light turned green and I drove off to my destination. Turns out he was also heading to Silverbird to meet up with a friend. When I got down from my car, i realised he was parked just next to me unknowingly.

He then approached me and said Hi and Introduced himself politely as McEva Temofe, I laughed and asked him if he was from Zimbabwe or something. I didn’t think the name sounded Nigerian, but he said he was a Nigerian from Delta state. I was impressed meeting a cute Deltan because I’m also from Delta State and was just hearing the name for the first time.
So I poked further and asked if he was one of those ‘Abj guys’ that change their names and he confirmed it was his real name.
That was how we continued our conversation, exchanged numbers and went on to become best friends and the rest they say is history. It’s funny we met here in Abuja and my village is just 2 villages away to his in Delta State. I’m so blessed to have him.”

Proposal story as narrated by the groom:
The day I proposed to you and you said “YES”, it didn’t only gladden my heart, I felt fulfilled. Thank you for standing by me when I was drowning. Thank you for seeing what I visioned.
Thank you for risking your job for my career. Thank you for being a team player in boardrooms. Thank God for your humility and exceptional good character. Thank you for about changing your name for mine. Thank you for responding the day I said “Hi”
Indeed, if there was another treasure better than diamonds, I would have bought them for you. You deserve these fine stones on your finger LOVE. God made and bless the day I ran into you!
The beautiful couple tied the knot in the city of Abuja on the 23rd of July, with close friends, family and some important personalities which includes Her Excellency, Hajiya Aisha Atiku Bagudu, wife of Kebbi State Governor and Popular Nigerian Music Act Jaywon who blew the guests away with his music performance at the wedding.

Bahamas sprinter Shaunae Miller finished first in the women’s 400m in extraordinary fashion Monday night, diving across the finish line to deny USA’s Allyson Felix her fifth gold medal.
Miller started strong and led most of the race but was nearly overtaken by Felix in the final moments.

She dove in the last second and slid across the finish line, her torso fully crossing the finish line before Felix and leaving the American sprinter to the silver medal.
‘I’ve never done it before,’ Miller said of her dive. ‘I have some cuts and bruises, a few burns… it hurts.’
‘When I was on the ground I didn’t know I’d won,’ the gold medalist added.‘I still don’t know how it happened.
‘What was in my mind was I had to get a gold medal. The next thing I was on the ground. It’s an amazing feeling.’“I heard my mom screaming,” Miller said. “When I heard her screaming, I was like, ‘OK, I had to have won the race.'”

Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson finished in third place.
Her dive will go down as one of the most dramatic images seen at any Olympics. See Video Below:

The Lagos state police command recently arrested a certain Fatima Williams, and her neighbour, Waliu Yusuf for allegedly brutalising a 16-year-old housemaid with a hot iron and electric cables.
According to PUNCH, the victim identified as Kemi was brought from Cotonou to work with Fatima Williams as a housemaid.
She was allegedly tortured last week Thursday by the suspect for not sweeping her compound located on Allen avenue, Lagos.
Kemi recounted the incident to PUNCH, read her below:
“On that day, Alhaja instructed me to sweep the compound. She also asked me to clean the windows and wash some clothes. I started with the washing and she went out. When she returned, she was angry that I had not swept the compound. Then she called the man (Waliu Yusuf) to beat me up.”
The suspect and mother of four admitted that she told Yusuf to beat the victim, adding that the housemaid’s stubbornness had increased her blood pressure. She also accused the girl of stealing from her and stated that she couldn’t handle her rudeness and behaviour anymore.
Meanwhile, Waliu Yusuf stated that he only wanted to scare the victim with the iron when it injured her.
The suspects were arrested and paraded at the Ikeja Police Division. Meanwhile the victim was taken to the Police Cottage Hospital, Ikeja, for treatment.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni confirmed the arrest and said the suspects would be charged to court at the end of investigations.

A South African woman who kidnapped a 3 day old newborn baby girl while she was sleeping beside her mother in a hospital in Cape Town in April 1997 and raised the girl as her own, was sentenced to 10 years in jail on Monday for kidnapping.
The presiding Judge, Judge John Hlophe in Cape Town announced the sentence, telling the 52-year-old convicted kidnapper that she had caused “immense” pain to the kidnapped girl’s biological parents, the African News Agency reported.
The young woman who was kidnapped as a baby is known as Zephany Nurse, but that’s not her real name, that name is the one given to her by her biological parents and used in the media in the years since her disappearance.
But since she has been found by her parents, she has chosen to continue using the name given to her by the kidnapper.
So in order to protect her privacy, a judge ordered that her adopted name and the name of her kidnapper should not be used by the media.
Zephany Nurse was reunited last year with her biological parents, Morne and Celeste Nurse, after the couple’s second daughter befriended a girl at school who looked so much like her.
The couple’s second daughter was baffled by the similarities and told her parents about it. When her parents saw Zephany Nurse, they immediately suspected that she could be their long lost daughter, so they got the police involved.
A police investigation and DNA tests showed that the two girls were sisters and confirmed that the new friend was the Nurse’s missing child.
During the court case, the kidnapper still maintained that she didn’t kidnap the little girl in 1997 which annoyed the judge during sentencing.
Judge Hlophe criticized the kidnapper for sticking to her story that she had bought the baby from a woman who told her that the biological parents did not want the child.
Hlophe said:
“At the very least, one would expect you to apologize, but you chose not to.”
The family of the convicted kidnapper blew kisses to her as she was led to a holding cell after the sentencing, and there was an alleged confrontation between the kidnapper’s family and Zephany Nurse’s biological family outside the courthouse.
Chantall Berry, Zephany Nurse’s aunt allegedly said:
“She belongs to us.” “She has our DNA. Her DNA will never change.”
Zephany Nurse’s biological parents were in court for the sentencing Monday, but their daughter was not. Zephany Nurse has not been allowed to have any contact with the convicted kidnapper but has been living with the kidnapper’s husband, who she thought was her biological father.
The prosecution said the woman defrauded authorities when she registered Zephany Nurse as her own daughter in 2003 under a false birthdate.

Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture has said that most Nigerians would soon forget about the missing Chibok schoolgirls as the effects of the newly released video is over.
The minister who stated this at the presidential villa on Monday, August 15, 2016 added that the rescue of the girls had been a priority to the current administration.
“Most people will forget the issue of these girls as soon as the effect of this video is over but the government is daily working on it,” he said.
“Until the release of this video, the effort is not attracting any attention. But every day, the office of the NSA and others concerned are working on it.
“For us, it is not just because of the release of the video but because of our belief that there will be no final closure to Boko Haram until we are able to resolve the issue of these girls,” Mr Mohammed said.
He maintained that the government was in touch with the sect, and explained that adequate steps were being taken to avoid engaging the wrong people.
“I am talking from a point of knowledge. It does not matter what other people say. I know that the government is in touch with the group.
“We are just being careful and cautious to ensure that we are talking to the right people, especially with the news that there is a split in the leadership.
“Until you are able to ascertain the authenticity of those you are talking to, you don’t go into details.
“But what is important is the safety and security of these girls. The thrust of my statement was to assure the nation that we are on top of the situation.
“We are not even just reacting to the video; we have gone far beyond the video in talking to the group already.”
Mohammed said the government appreciates the role played by Bring Back Our Girls Movement, but said a lot needs to be done behind the scenes.
“We appreciate their commitment to the return of these girls but there are few things we need to do behind the scenes“What we are saying is that the government is committed to do everything to rescue these girls,” the minister said.

She said she started the natural hair journey in December 2014 and almost gave up. Today she showed off her look saying she is glad she kept on with the journey.
Haircrush Hairvryday !
I’ve been feeling good about my hair all day. It’s been quite some journey from Dec’14 .
I did a not so big chop in December 2014 and started the perm to natural transition. It was hard and quite tiresome. I almost gave up especially when it was difficult to comb when the new growth started coming in March 2015.
Now when I look back I’m so glad I didn’t give up! I absolutely love my hair. So with 1 year and 4months on, I believe I can fly.
Once you set your mind on something and don’t give up, with time you’d get there gradually.

Earlier today, Aisha Wakil (Pictured above) alongside journalist Ahmed Salkida and Amb Ahmed U. Bolori were all declared wanted by the Nigerian Army yesterday, August 14 in connection with information on the conditions and exact locations of Chibok Girls abducted by Boko Haram 2 years ago.
Wakil who is strongly believed to have direct links to Boko Haram, has now responded via an interview with Premium Times.
According to Aisha Wakil, she received news of her being wanted with rude shock, because she is not a stranger to the military.
“They know me very well. Right from (former President Goodluck) Jonathan’s time. I am not hiding. I’ve had meeting with them, I still met with the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, and other Army chiefs towards the end of last year. We had very lengthy meeting that we finished around 11 p.m and the next day we continued. I’m in Abuja right now, but I am thinking of going back to Maiduguri so I can see them at the main barracks there. But if there’s anywhere I could see them in Abuja here I will go and see them.”

Popular Kenyan television and fashion model, Vera Sidika, also known as Queen Vee Bossest, has taken to her social media page to expose a ‘unwanted manhood photo’ sent to her by a male fan.

The last daughter of the General overseer of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo took the social media by storm on Sunday, August 14, where she described herself as being ‘crazy’.
The pastors further posted a picture of her with the caption:
“Those who know me know that I’m crazy. I don’t blend in. I’m the one who’s yingin’ when everyone else is yangin’. I’ve been called an outcast by many outsiders. But the more I tried to fit in, the more I stood out. My differences wouldn’t let me stay the same. Everyday, I’ve come to let the differences that make me, shine through. Tired of the need to stay the same, I’ve come to accept the real me. I’m not the same. And as long as I stay rare, there’d always be a need for all of me. For there would always be room for rarity. I have decided not to let the miracle of my birth be the sole miracle of my existence. The proof, is in my crazy”
This Instagram post obviously did not go down well with a lot of Nigerians as she has been receiving a lot of messages from critics.
On Monday, August 15,she took to her Facebook handle to clarify what she meant by being ‘crazy’. She said:
“I’ve received way too many personal messages about this post below and so for the honest few, I have chosen to make a few things clear. It seems that many of us have misunderstood things too easily. You all have seen my posts for a while now, some of you have seen them for years on end, and you know that I absolutely adore my family. That cannot, has not, and will not ever change. Anyone who tries to insinuate any different is purely looking for loopholes that just don’t exist. To that group, you may need to find more profitable work because that already is a failed venture. Then, there is this other group that expects me to be EXACTLY like my mother or sister who are role models to many including myself, especially myself. Thing is, you also may need to edit your expectation because that too, will not be happening. I’m me and will never be anyone else can never be anyone else and will not even try to.
I love that my sister and I are not walking replicas of my mother, she teaches us not to be, she teaches that we are who God has called us to be, and that, with all sincerity. Our differences make us unique, and that makes us an epic loving family that, we are grateful to God for. Ps, “crazy” purely means/meant different. This, you would understand if you read through the post honestly, completely and some of us, without negative intent. So, to those who honestly were confused on the original post, I hope you have received the needed clarity. But to those still looking for loopholes, sorry failed venture, be you, be who God created you to be. Yes, have role models (& you always can start with my mother and sister–right here on Facebook even if you have nowhere else to turn). But don’t ever try to dim your uniqueness to fit in with the “world’s” definition of perfect. God bless y’all.”

Nigerian journalist, Ahmad Salkida, who has been declared wanted by the Nigerian army over ties with Boko Haram, says he will be in the country soon if the authorities send him an air ticket.
In his response to the military, Salkida said:
“My attention has been drawn to a public notice put out by the Nigerian Army and signed by Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations,” he said.
“The statement declaring me wanted seeks culpable grounds to punish me on account of ‘last two videos released by Boko Haram terrorists and other findings…’ by the Army.
“Clearly, my status as a Nigerian journalist who has reported extensively, painstakingly and consistently on the Boko Haram menace in the country since 2006 is an open book known to Nigerians and the international community.
“Equally, my total allegiance and sacrifice to the Federal Republic of Nigeria is self evident. I have stayed within the creed of professional journalism in my work.”
Salkida said he had been to Nigeria three times on the invitation of the federal government to help in the recovery of the Chibok schoolgirls.
“As a testimony to the credible and professional values of my access, since May 2015, l have been to Nigeria three times on the invitation of Federal Government agencies. I made personal sacrifices for the release of our Chibok daughters.
“Finally, the Army is aware that I am not in Nigeria presently. In the coming days I will seek to get a flight to Abuja and avail myself to the Army authorities. Indeed, my return will be hastened if the Military sends me a ticket.”

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta, MEND, today, took the the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, to the cleaners, saying he agreed in secret to renounce ‘Biafra’ in exchange for freedom, only to act hypocritically in public after sealing discussion with MEND on the matter.
Spokesperson of MEND, Jomo Gbomo, in a vitriolic statement, said: “The attention of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has been drawn to the recent spate of hypocritical and provocative statements issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu,”
The group said the IPOB/Kanu statements “purport to dissociate IPOB/Kanu from some of the concessions, which have so far been secured by MEND in the ongoing talks aimed at resolving the current Niger Delta crisis between the Federal Government and MEND.”
Its words:
“MEND hereby uses this opportunity to inform the entire world that following the group’s ongoing negotiations with the Federal Government, Nnamdi Kanu has made it clear that he is willing to renounce “Biafra” in secret; in exchange for his freedom.”
“MEND and the Federal Government have, however, flatly rejected the IPOB/Kanu hypocrisy to remain defiant in public; while accepting to secretly renounce secession.”
It asserted: “MEND, therefore, urges the already frustrated and desperate Mr. Kanu and IPOB to swallow their pride and make a public denunciation of ‘Biafra.’”
The group argued that the public denunciation by Kanu was important so as not continue deceiving the gullible donors and followers sold to the illusion of a ‘Biafra Republic’ that aims to annex the Niger Delta region as part of its territory.
It said there was need for them (donors and followers) to “become fully aware that the so-called ‘Biafra Republic’ is merely a business venture and scam whose sole beneficiaries are Kanu, directors of IPOB and their families and cronies.”
