Pastor Penuel Mnguni is a popular cleric in South Africa who is known for conducting his services in a really bizarre way.
This time, the controversial leader of the End Times Disciples Ministries, in his most recent weird spiritual antics commanded one of his church members to climb up a pole during prayers.
According to the church’s social media page, the pastor was ministering about the presence Angel.
“The pastor commanded angels to take one of the congregants higher on the pole and by the power of a tongue, angels obeyed the command and took them up. Angels are always waiting for your command.” the church wrote on its Facebook page
Unconfirmed reports have it that Zenith Bank Plc has meted out punishment to one bank official, who was pictured on his knees at Ayo Fayose’s residence in Abuja pleading with with the governor over the funding of the 2014 gubernatorial election in Ekiti.
Zenith Bank Plc staff, Bunmi Falana aka Bumshaka, has been reportedly demoted to a mere marketer by the leadership of the bank over his culpability in the unpopular saga with the Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose over allegations of illicit funding.
According to rumours, Falana has also been told to resume work at a branch in Agbara Lagos immediately.
This happened after he was caught on camera kneeling down to beg Fayose to help conceal his role in the issuance and management of illicit funds that has attracted the attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission who have currently frozen the Governor’s personal bank accounts.
Other reports have described Falana as a close associate of the vocal People’s Democratic Party cheiftain who is said to have facilitated his employment in the bank as well as his undeserved rapid promotion.
Zenith bank is yet to issue an official statement to clear the air on the claims that the corporate body solely funded the election of Fayose which is against the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act.

I was heart broken this morning
As I drove to work and saw a pregnant woman with a little boy struggling with a big bag and her big tummy so I decided to help.
I parked and gave them a lift, not minding I was late for work .
We spoke in the car and she told me the story of her life, how she had to borrow money to go to her work place where she sells roasted corn and pear everyday.
She was abandoned by her family and the man who owns the kids.
I had pity for her and decided to give her some money, so I stopped by an ATM to withdraw cash, since we now go cashless.
I left my ignitions on and the ac on for her, so she can be comfortable.just picked up one of my phones and my ATM card , dashed out to withdraw.
When I was back I gave her the money and did not bother looking for anything , I just dropped my card and phone and drove her to the junction she said was close to her.
As I got to the office and was about to dash the gate men money, I brought out my wallet and noticed that the 3k I had inside was gone, I scattered my bag, no way.
So I started looking for my other phone, dialled the number and it was switched off.
I sat in my car and started crying, not because of what she took but because she broke my heart into pieces and have tampered with my trust to giving.
I cleaned my tears and drove to my office.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has taken over Skye Bank of Nigeria, believed to be one of those distressed in the country, reports have indicated.
This action has prompted Mr Timothy Oguntayo, the managing director, and other top management of the bank including all non-executive directors, to resign ahead of a perceived mass purging by the apex bank.
The resignation of the management at Skye Bank was a pre-emptive action by the bank to avoid a total clampdown by the CBN as it plans to remove directors in banks with bad debts in the next few days. Inside sources claim Skye bank has over N700 billion in bad loans.
The CBN hammer hit the bank about a week after the top financial regulator threatened to sack the chief executive officer and chairman of any bank that fails to publish its financial statement within the regulatory period.

Former Minister of Aviation and senator (PDP – Anambra North), Stella Oduah, on Monday denied claims that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was investigating her for allegedly stashing nearly N2.5 billion in a bank account she set up using the identity of her maid.
Ms. Oduah, who said she received the reports while relaxing in her country home in Anambra State, challenged those who published the allegations to publish proofs that substantiate her guilt.
Ms. Oduah said the reports were “totally false, baseless and at best the imagination of the platform.”
In the statement, signed by Francisca Onyeisi, head of communications, Ms. Oduah said:
“Over the past few months, the once respected online platform, Sahara Reporters has continued to surpass itself by continuously sinking to an all-time low of posting uncorroborated reports to mislead Nigerians to promote the agenda of certain elements who’s fight against corruption can only been seen on pages of newspaper and pockets of their media spinners while millions of Nigerians remain unemployed and hundreds of thousands of kids go to bed hungry day in day out.
“The online platform claimed their sources in the EFCC said a whopping N5.6 billion must have been stolen, then went further to contradict itself that the agency had determined it was N3.6 billion then again reduced it to N2.5 billion in the same publication. The distinguish Senator laments the despicable low that Sahara Reporters has drawn the reputable profession of journalism too which unfortunately unsuspecting platforms will copy and paste on theirs without even lifting a pen to confirm the story”.
“Senator Stella Oduah, who is currently in her constituency thanked her supporters and well-wishers who have reached out to vent their frustrations at the unethical behavior of the tabloid assured (sic) them that there is nothing to worry about, restating that no such account exist and challenged Sahara reporters to present details of their funding and how the platform is able to afford a property in choice area of Maitama in Abuja”, the statement concluded.

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command, has reportedly recovered eight stolen vehicles from a member of a syndicate specializing in trans-border crime and stealing vehicles in Lagos and moving them to Ogun and neighbouring countries to sell.
The operatives of the RRS, who were working on a reported case of stolen Toyota Corolla from where it was parked in Ikeja Business District, Lagos, tracked the vehicle on Thursday night to a compound in Kobape, Abeokuta, belonging to a car dealer.
According to the report, It was gathered that the Toyota Corolla, grey, 2004 model with registration number, KRD 759, belonging to Mrs. Olaitan Lawal, was removed from the car park during a church programme at Ikeja, at about 6:00 pm on Thursday before it was found around 1:00 a.m. on Friday.
According to the owner of the car:
“I took my car to the church and I parked it at the space designated for parking. After the church service, I went back to pick my car to go home, but I couldn’t find the car.”
She continued that, “immediately, I called Lagos emergency line on 112 and I reported to the representative. As if that was not enough, I went straight to Area F in Ikeja, to equally lodge the complaint.
” At the station, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) connected me to the Commander of RRS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Olatunji Disu, as capable hand to handle the case.
“The DPO also gave me the Commander’s phone number, and, when I called him, he assured me that my car would be found. By this time, it was around 9:00 p.m. at night.”
At home, I couldn’t sleep until around, 12:15 a.m. after midnight when I saw the Commander’s call requesting that I describe my car. I gave him, and he told me that he had found my car in somewhere in Abeokuta. I couldn’t believe my ears. In about six hours interval, my car was found, “, she added.
The RRS’ surveillance team moved to Abeokuta that same night which led to the arrest of two prime suspects who have confessed their connections with the recovered Corolla and seven other stolen cars presently at the RRS headquarters.
The suspects, Samuel Adebeshin, 56, the receiver of the stolen vehicles, who lives at 13 Kobape Road, Abeokuta, and an accomplice, Adeyemi Kamoru, 50, repeatedly maintained that the eight vehicles were all stolen at different locations in Lagos.

A sacred tree in Thailand said to bear fruit in the shape of young women has been captured on camera.
Footage of the suggestively shaped green fruits has divided social media, leaving some shocked but others less convinced.
Some have suggested the clip depicts a Nariphon, a holy Buddhist tree which grows the fruit of young female creatures.
According to reports, in Buddhist mythology, a tree known as the Nariphon bears the fruit of young female creatures and is said to grow in the mythical forest called Himaphan.
The story goes that Buddhist God Indra built a home in the forest for his wife Vessantara and his two children. But when Vessantara went out into the forest to collect food, she was in danger of being attacked by terrifying male creatures.
Indra then created 12 special Nariphon trees which would bear fruit in his wife’s image to distract the creatures while she picked her own food.
The men would take these fruits back to their homes and after making love to them would sleep for four months, and lose their powers.
The Lagos State Police Command has alerted residents on the new antics of criminals, particularly at night, before carrying out their nefarious activities.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, issued the alert in an interview on Sunday in Lagos, against the backdrop of recent robbery attacks on residents.
She said the criminals, in an attempt to rob or kidnap their victims, now engaged in switching off running power generating sets or turned on tap water, to lure them out.
Badmos, therefore, advised residents not to come out at night, if they noticed that taps within their compounds were opened or when their generators suddenly stopped working.
“Residents should be careful when they discover that their generators stop working or notice water gushing out from their taps, at night.
“They should watch carefully before going out. If they notice strange movements, they should call the nearest police station.
“This is why residents are advised to know the telephone numbers of the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) or station phone numbers close to them,’’ she said.
Speaking to some residents in Ikorodu, Egbeda, Iyana-Ipaja, Agbado Oke-Odo and Ikeja areas of the state, they shared their experiences of how criminals used the tricks to attack their homes.
Mr Tunji Ajayi, a victim and resident of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, who narrated his experience, said the criminals made away with his generator set, after switching it off.
“When they could not gain access into my house, they became frustrated, they then decided to take away my generator.
“I left my generator on at night as usual, but at about 2 a.m, the generator suddenly went off.
“I took my time to observe what must have happened through the window before stepping out, but suddenly, I heard footsteps, so I decided to stay back.
“When the criminals realised that I was not coming out immediately, they decided to take away my generator,’’ he said.
Another victim, Mrs Adenike Okubanjo, a resident of Egbeda area, said she left her generator on with the intention of putting it off at about 10 p.m, but slept off.
“I later woke up at midnight after the generator had gone off, although I knew there was enough fuel to last till the morning.
“Even at that, I decided not to go out until morning, but only to be woken by a neighbor and informed that some armed robbers came into the compound.
“The neighbour told me how the robbers followed him into his house when he came out to check his generator, after it suddenly went off,’’ she said.
A resident of Iyana-Ipaja, who simply identified himself as Michael, also disclosed how he almost fell victim to the criminals’ tricks, but God saved him.
“Usually, I put on my generator set from 7.30 p.m to 11 p.m. on daily basis. I guess, these suspected criminals had been watching me.
“On this particular day, I was about going to put it off, when I heard footsteps.
“I decided to stay back, after which, the hoodlums started threatening me to open the door, but I refused and started to scream and they fled,’’ he said.
For Mr Pius Bamidele, a school teacher in Ikorodu, he said the criminals, after taking some of his valuables, also beat him up for not having enough cash on him.
Bamidele said the hoodlums gained entrance into his home after opening the tap in his compound.
“When I heard water coming out of the tap at about 1.30a.m, I wondered who could be fetching water and would have
left the tap open at that time of the day.
“As soon as I came out, one the robbers pointed a gun at me and walked me into my apartment, where they made away with some of my property,’’ he added.
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Timothy Idowu, for allegedly raping his 15-year-old daughter in the Aradagun, Badagry area of the state.
The matter got to the attention of the police after the victim, Victoria (pseudonym), packed from her father’s apartment to put up with a family friend in the Ikotun area. The suspect was said to have travelled for a prayer meeting on the day his daughter fled home.
Idowu was arrested on Thursday, June 23, by the Badagry Police Division. Victoria, who had been kept in government’s custody, was raped while her mother was bedridden. A social worker, identified only as Ibrahim, who reported the matter to the police, said the victim fled to her aunt in the Ikotun area.
He said, “The victim fled to a relative, who is her aunt in the Ikotun area. The aunt thereafter contacted our organisation. The case got to my attention last week. I reported the case at the police station in Badagry immediately and the man was arrested.
“The victim said she could not bear it anymore as her father had raped her several times in the year. She said anytime the family slept at night, the father would sneak into her room and rape her. He would thereafter warn her not to tell anyone. She claimed the father started from the beginning of the year.”
Speaking with Punch Metro, a neighbour said the victim had also reported to her while fleeing the house.
She said, “The girl came to me on the day she was fleeing home and said her father had been raping her. I thought she was mentally unstable, until the man was arrested some days ago.”
Victoria told the police in her statement that her father deflowered her.
She said, “I am 15 years old. I am in Senior Secondary Class 2. My father deflowered me several months ago, and he had been raping me since then. Whenever he did it, he would clean up the mess and warn me not to tell anybody.”
A police source said the suspect also allegedly raped Victoria’s elder sister, who attended a college of education in Lagos State.
