According to the report, medical doctors in Osun State on Sunday suspended their seven month-old strike.
The chairman of the Association of Medical and Dental Officers, Dr Isiaka Adekunle, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Osogbo, the state capital that the doctors will report for duty on Monday.
Adekunle told NAN that though the government was yet to meet any of their demands, their decision to resume was in response to appeals from residents. He, however, said the association would continue to dialogue with the government.
“House of Assembly Speaker Najeem Salaam and some others prevailed on us to call off the strike.
“We observed that the people who are at the receiving end of our strike are the masses who can only access health care from state owned hospitals.
“Based on this, the doctors unanimously agreed at our AGM that the strike be suspended despite the fact that none of our demands has been met by the government
“While we pray for good fortune for the state and the nation as a whole, when the economy of the state improves, government will have no choice than to answer our demands.”
Adekunle said the government should not victimise members of the association who participated in the strike.
“We want a promise from the government that none of our members will be victimised for participating in the strike.
“We believe government will keep to its side of agreement while we keep to ours,” he said.

The unprecedented act drew reactions from many of his fans. “I’m disabled,” one of his fans wrote, adding “you are giving me the believe that I can do it thanks @patorankingfire” Another added, “No offence @patorankingfire … I appreciate the love for those with disability, but you can’t represent what you are not.”
Social Media is savage! It has all forms of Savagery!
I keep saying it, if you dunno how to diss, steer clear from all form of ‘insults’ from Social Media..Especially Twitter.
This particular guy insulted Wizkid by tweeting: Even if wizkid has a show everyday, he will still not be able to buy that kind of house aunty linda lives in.. Boy respect your elderly ones
..and then he got an Epic response!
Keep quiet when rich people are fighting and think about your bio..
Nigerian superstar, Wizkid spent the better part of yesterday dragging Linda Ikeji because the top blogger broke the new that he has been served an eviction notice at the Lekki residence he earlier claimed he bought.
His clapbacks which were borderline misogynist earned him criticism from social media users, and as though to remind him of his daddy duties, the mothers of his sons took to their various pages to share photos of his sons.
For Sola Ogudu, his first babymama, she shared a cute photo of their son Boluwatife who played a pageboy at a Lagos wedding yesterday. “Pageboy duties,” she tagged the photo which shows the little mister handsome sitting, one leg crossed over the other.
Recall that in March, Sola took to Twitter to call out an unnamed person she accused of reneging his responsibility, and though she didn’t name names, many fans assumed the diss was targeted at Wizkid.
“I am sick and tired of keeping my mouth shut, covering the idiot’s irresponsibility and still get tons of insults from the same idiot,” Sola wrote in March, but she later deleted the tweets.
For Binta Diamond who seems to have it worse, as the singer is yet to acknowledge both mother and child, she flooded her new Snapchat account with photos of Ayodeji Ibrahim Jr., and also the new Instagram account she opened for the boy.
“King Ayo,” she captioned the photo of her 3-month-old son.
In a recent interview, the Guinean-American said all she wanted is for Wizkid to take responsibility as a father, but the hitmaker has yet to address the recent claims by both women, instead he claimed he is sending 1000 children to school, a comment he made during his feud with Linda Ikeji yesterday.
Davido’s Babymama, Sophie Momodu is about to launch her fashion line. The mother of one released these new promo shots and has this to say about the inspiration for her new business.
The African woman is the most hidden treasure on earth.. Often highly underestimated. She’s proud of herself, she respects herself & others. She’s aware of who she is.. She neither seeks definition from friends nor does she expect anyone to read her mind.
She’s quite capable of articulating her needs. A good African woman is hopeful & strong enough to make all her dreams come true. She knows love therefore she gives love. She knows her past, understands her present & moves towards the future. She does not live in fear of the future because of her past.
Instead she understands that her life experiences are lessons meant to bring her closer to self knowledge & unconditional self love. The African woman knows God…
Udeagwu, 29, was nabbed by the police for allegedly stealing a 35 meter-long armoured cable meant for the state government’s Light Up Lagos’ project in the Ogudu area.
The alleged cable thief, who claimed to be from Delta State, was sighted by the police along with two
suspected accomplices, now at large.
They were reportedly sighted coming out of the bush towards Ogudu bus stop by the RRS operatives on routine surveillance around 3am, carrying a big sack containing the armoured cable.
The leader of the team, Inspector Bello Kabir, who led the men on patrol of Oworoshoki Expressway, told Punch that the team was monitoring the project when the suspected thieves were sighted.
He said:
“The Commander RRS, ACP Olatunji Disu, told us that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode wanted officers to always check out Light-Up Lagos projects because of cases of vandalism of lamp posts.
“On Saturday, we saw Lucky and two other guys carrying a big sack and coming towards Ogudu bus stop. Because it was a straight road, we could see them from afar.
“As they sighted the RRS vehicle, they took to their heels in different directions, but we caught Lucky. We were suspicious that what could make them run when they saw us must be something criminal. We checked the bag and we saw a 35 meter-long armoured cable. Beside the bag was a camouflage cap.
“On the spot, we searched him. We found in his small bag, a screw driver, a 10-spanner and a T-shirt. The 10-spanner is the size of the bolts covering the lamp posts in the area.”
It was gathered that further investigations by the RRS showed that Lucky’s boss saw him last before the Easter break.
It was also learnt that nobody could identify him in the three houses he gave as his residents. But Lucky denied stealing the cable, adding that the men that dropped the bag and fled committed the act.
He said:
“I got to Ogudu bus stop at about 3am on Saturday. Those boys dropped the sack containing the cable. I don’t know them.
“I got out early because I was searching for work. I wanted to get to Ikorodu early so that I could get a site job.
I saw the two boys carrying that bag from a nearby bush, and as soon as they saw the police, they ran and I also ran.
“The tools in my bag are what I used to service my generator, but I sold the generator about a year ago. I was arrested at about 3.11am, but I don’t know any of those boys,” he said.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, said the state would not tolerate vandalism and sabotage of governments’ property.
“The suspect has been transferred to SARS’ office in Ikeja,” she added.
Mavin Records artiste, Sidney Esiri, who is popularly known as Dr. Sid, speaks about his career and marriage in this interview with Sunday spice.
The video of the single Surulere, was quite unique. What were you trying to achieve with the concept?
I was simply trying my hand at acting. I had already shot a film with Moses Inwang, titled The Last Six Digits. So, with Surulere, I wanted a fun video. Frank Donga and I were the lead actors and Donga’s facial expressions were spot on and hilarious. I call him the Nigerian Frank Spencer. We both came up with the concept and I planned for Oba Saheed Elegushi to play a cameo role in the video but it wasn’t possible.
You seem to have an inclination for dance songs…
My last album had a variety of songs like Chop Ogbonna and Surulere. I like to get my audience involved in my stage performances. I intend to direct more videos and that was why I attended a film school in order to pursue my passion in filmmaking. I also have a short film, which I released on YouTube. My goal is to make movies that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Do you think you have gotten to the stage where you can leave music for video directing?
Both industries are intertwined which means that I can make music and also come up with a creative concept for the video during my spare time.
Some say your songs sound alike. Do you agree?
I don’t think my songs sound alike. Baby Tornado sounds completely different from Surulere. I think people need to change the way they listen to my songs. The only thing I think is peculiar to my songs is that I like songs people can sing along to. I have been in this industry for 13 years and I have studied the market to an extent. A friend recently drew my attention to the fact that the only musicians who started out at about the same time I launched my music career are Sound Sultan and 2face. I was stunned and it means that I must be doing something right to still be around till date. I must thank the fans who have taken out time to listen to and understand my sound. I constantly try to improve on my sound and craft. My happiest moments are when I am performing on stage.
You’ve been around for over a decade. Are you happy with where you are now?
I don’t regret any stage I find myself in life. Some people might say I am not as big as I am supposed to be but that’s their opinion. God has his plans for me and every step I take brings me closer to fulfilling my destiny. I could have been more aggressive with my career and fade off like a lot of artistes but I’m still here 13 years on. I can’t really complain about that because I make enough money to feed my family and invest in other businesses. I am not greedy but content with life.
Your industry is quite competitive, how do you handle that aspect?
I will give my late dad and my mum the credit because they raised me well. There is a popular saying that “you don’t have look at someone else’s watch to look at your time.” I’m not envious of anyone. As a matter of fact, what makes you a success is what you do with your achievements. Not many are aware of the fact that how you comport yourself helps to determine your personality and shapes your future. My dad thought me to strive for perfection but he also told me that consistency is what keeps you relevant. That is one of the reasons why I keep putting out good music.
In what ways does your family plan to immortalise him?
To be honest, my father is already immortalised through the way we live our lives. I have a family name to protect and I also want to be known as Justus Esiri’s son. He is being remembered and celebrated through my actions. I am a representation of his legacy and I can’t reveal what my family’s plans are in this area. Irrespective of what comes my way, I always remember that I have a name and pedigree to protect.
Has being his son put you under so much pressure especially from his fans?
Yes, it has and right from the outset of my music career, I was committed to building my own name and brand. I didn’t want to ride on the fact that I am Justus Esiri’s son. Till date, some people still don’t know that I am his son. This is good for me because it made me realise that all I have achieved in my career is by merit and not because of my father’s name. I would also be lying if I say that my father’s name didn’t open certain doors and make certain things easier for me. I have attained a certain level of contentment, so I don’t need to prove myself to any one.
Do you have an album in the works?
Unfortunately, the cycle of music release has changed worldwide. People aren’t really buying into albums that much because the moment you drop an album this week, people will begin to ask you when the next one will follow. People have started consuming music a lot and you need to give them constant quality content. I released so any songs on my last album, Siduction, so all I have to do is promote the album throughout the year. Right now, I am thinking of releasing a few singles and when the time is right I just might drop an album.
What are your thoughts on international music collaborations?
I don’t think international collaborations are a necessity. How much international collaborations has made an album a hit? None readily comes to mind but I respect it because it serves as a good platform to export the artiste’s music and I am not going to knock it down. I had a collaboration with Alexander Burke who won the X Factor United Kingdom on my last album and it has opened a lot of doors for me in the UK.
How would you describe your marriage so far?
Marriage is the hardest and best thing I have ever done. I have learnt how to adapt and connect more with my wife. I thank God that I have such a beautiful wife who is understanding, loving and caring. She loves me more than I love myself and constantly encourages me to be better.
How involved are you in the nurturing of your daughter?
My wife took some time away from work to raise our daughter. After our wedding, she was supposed to start her business but she became pregnant and had to adjust to her new role as a wife and mother. Now that she is back to work, I have taken up the daddy role, which includes changing diapers and caring for our daughter at odd hours. I am extremely happy and I have never felt this way before. A lot of people hear about marriage and think it is hard. It can be beautiful if you work towards it. I remember us quarrelling two days before our wedding and even threatening to pull out. But, our love for each other has kept us going. Right now, our marriage is on autopilot and we are just cruising because we understand each other absolutely.
Last week, Wizkid’s baby mama, Binta Diallo sparked reports she had two kids after sharing photos of her son with Wizkid and another little girl (who she constantly flaunts on social media).
..and then she later on shared a throwback photo of her bump with the words, “#tbt pregnant with my first and only child @king_ayo_” denying she has another kid aside King Ayo.
Now Diallo has shared more Pics of Wizkid’s son via her snapchat account.

This My Friends is what I call SAVAGE, Courtesy Kate Henshaw.
Hours ago, one of her fans tried to make amends for the wrong she had done and had sent the screen goddess a private message, apologising for what she had said. But Henshaw had other plans; she put the follower on the blast by publishing the private message.
“After they talk trash on your page and you give them a taste of their own medicine, they come to your DM to apologise!” The actress wrote. “Now ‘it’ says she was never a fan and it was because of Baby Michael she became one! Please move away from my page and get a life! What rubbish!!
“People talk trash all the time not caring how they make you feel but turn the tables and it’s like ‘oh you are taking it too far…you are too harsh’!! Don’t come for me….I won’t come for you… Simple!” Kate Henshaw concluded.
Wizkid was served eviction notice from his 4 bedroom duplex at Ayinde Akinmade in Lekki Phase 1 two days ago, Friday April 1st 2016. Meawhile, check out the singer hanging out with Davido and Akon last night in Congo.
Wizkid’s rent expired in January 2016 and he refused to renew his rent. His landlord and his agents served him the eviction notice and gave him till April 11th to move out. See pics of Wizkid in Congo below:
Okay, I knew Wizkid will definitely come for Linda Ikeji, as she was the one who broke the story that Wizkid Has been served Quit Notice from his Lekki Mansion he had claimed he bought.
Moments ago, Wizkid hopped on a post Linda Ikeji shared yesterday to insult her for exposing him. He used expletive ridden language and claimed that she is unable to keep a man.
Wizkid has had issues with Ikeji because of a previous story she had done about him, plus breaking the news of his alleged babymama.
Now, he is taking the war to her page, and he also reminded fans of his New York home by posting a rooftop photo.
When 26-year-old Abigail Olori met Alhaja Latifat and her husband three years ago, she felt she had met an angel in human form who would turn the odds of her life for good.
Considering the fact that she had lost her parents and was saddled with the responsibility of catering for her siblings, she jumped at the offer to travel to Italy to work as an auxiliary nurse for the couple. Unknown to her, however, she was making the biggest mistake of her life.
A look into the eyes of the frail looking Abigail revealed misery, pains and betrayal that she has been subjected to in the last three years.
Coughing intermittently and straining herself to be audible, she narrated her ordeal in the hands of her traffickers.
“I met Alhaja Latifat and her husband in 2013 when they came to Nigeria; then I was 23-years-old. I knew them via a relative of mine, Rofel, when I was residing in Bayelsa with my siblings. Rofel invited me to Lagos; it was during the visit to Lagos that I was introduced to Alhaja Latifat who promised to take me to Italy”, she stated.
“Before the journey, they said they wanted me to become an auxiliary nurse for them in Italy but unfortunately I found myself in Libya. They took me via the desert. We were about 30 that were taken to Libya from Nigeria.
“Since I didn’t have parents, I was only able to raise N10, 000 which the alhaja claimed was for the passport she procured for me. The agreement was that I will work and pay her N2.4 million once I get to Italy which included the amount she spent to take me abroad and the return on her investment.
“Before we left Nigeria, they took us to a native doctor called Ewe in Abeokuta, Ogun State where we were made to swear an oath. It was after the oath that we were taken to Libya instead of Italy.
“Initially when I got to Libya and found out that my responsibility was to abort pregnancies for young girls, I refused but Alhaja Latifat and her husband locked me up in a room and beat me severely with a mop stick I had no option but to bulge. Each time I refused to perform abortion for any of the girls, they will lock me up and beat me.
“That was how I started assisting them to terminate unwanted pregnancies for the young girls who were working as call girls for Alhaja Latifat.
“We had girls within the ages of 10-15 working as call girls, sleeping with all sorts of men unprotected. Most of the girls were forced to sleep with elderly men as old as 60 years-old. Some of these girls confessed to me that they were hairdressing apprentices and fashion designers before they were deceived to come to Libya to work as prostitutes. “Any of the girls who refused to work, they will beat her up. Some of the girls who attempted to escape got into more trouble as they were resold to other traffickers in Libya.
“My main responsibility was to carry out abortion for the girls forced into prostitution. By my calculation, I would have aborted 320 pregnancies in the process. They built instrument which I used to perform the abortion on the girls. If a pregnancy was about a month, and the girl in question notified Alhaja Latifat about the development, the Alhaja Alhaja will not allow me to abort the baby till the pregnancy was about four or five months old.
“Apart from carrying out abortions, I also performed the job of a physician to the girls.
“They had about three houses which were used as brothels to house the girls who worked as call girls. I resided in one of the brothels called New York. The second was called White House. I can’t remember the name of the third one.
“I worked for the alhaja for about three years and I was able to raise the amount from the abortion I was performing on the girls and the money I got from my male friends who were into armed robbery in Libya. Like the call girls, I was not allowed to operate a bank account. Since I didn’t operate any bank account, the money I earned was kept with Alhaja Latifat. Within two years I was able to pay the N2.4m agreed amount on the contract and also give her N1.5M which I kept with her as my personal savings.
Following a warning by Apostle Johnson Suleiman of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM)that governor of Kaduna state,Nasir-El-Rufai would die if he doesn’t revoke the religious bill, the governor has asked him to give a specific date ..
According to the bill,religious leaders in the state will have to obtain a one year license to preach in the state, and specifies worshiping hours among other things.Speaking to Punch, El-Rufai said;
“I have not seen anyone talking about Islam actually. Most of the people that say I would die, as if I would not die, are people who call themselves Christian clergy. Of course, I will die. If that apostle is truly an apostle, he should mention the day I will die. There is nothing in that law that prevents or infringes the practice of religion. It seeks to ensure that those that preach religion are qualified, trained and certified by their peers to do it. And some sections of the media have made it as if the law was drafted against Christianity. It is most irresponsible and I have nothing to say except to leave the matter to God.”
A teenage student, whose name was withheld, stabbed a young classmate – both students of Cults Academy, Abeerdeen – because he refused to give him biscuits.
The killer had asked his classmate, Bailey Gwynne, 16, for “biscuits” as he had skipped lunch only for his mate to respond, “you don’t want to get any fatter”.
The chubby youth who was already struggling with inferiority complex didn’t find the joke funny as he retorted about his joker’s mother.
Bailey who was already leaving came back to confront his killer on mentioning his mother when they started grappling. The 16 year-old went to his back and got a knife which during the course of the struggle he used to stab Bailey.
He knew he had done something very bad as he was a nervous wreck when the school’s director was summoned only to meet Bailey’s already cold body.
Bailey was pronounced dead on arrival.
The court heard ‘The youth realized the impact of what he had done and was being treated for symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder including nightmares, anxiety and depression’.
Mr Duguid, the killer’s lawyer told the court: ‘My client was immature and suffered from post traumatic stress disorder and received medication for depression and nightmares’.
‘He genuinely is affected by these events in quite a profound way. He recognizes that he has taken someone’s life and he feels very profoundly sorry about that.’
He is a ‘naive’ youth who thought it would make him look cool to carry a knife would have to live with the ‘flawed’ decision for the rest of his life.
Last month, he was convicted for culpable homicide, following a five-day trial.
Jury at a the high court in Aberdeen ruled against the murder charge of Bailey Gwynne, 16; the teenage boy was sentenced for culpable homicide as it seems the unnamed youth had the weapons to “feel strong”.
As long ago as 2007, the then seven-year-old had attacked another primary school pupil with rocks in a lane. The victim was taken to hospital and his alarmed parents contacted police and the school.
Chillingly, they predicted their son’s attacker would one day commit an even more violent crime. The events of October 28 last year proved them right.
The simplest explanation for his behaviour is the boy thought knives were ‘cool’.
In his police interview, the killer himself said: ‘I never fitted in. I was just trying to act cool and confident and tough, but I wasn’t. I had them just to act tough.’ – Daily Mail
At the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday, judge Lady Stacey ordered the killer to be detained for nine years.
The young killer who had warning signs from the age of seven bought a knife and knuckleduster from Amazon and he took it to school everyday.
Lady Stacey said to the boy during his sentencing:
‘Nothing that I can say, nor any sentence I may impose, will do anything to lessen the grief that Bailey Gwynne’s family and his friends feel.
‘The shock of his death at such a young age was felt in the wider community and nothing I say will alleviate that.
‘You were convicted by the jury of carrying a knife and carrying knuckle dusters in school, and of culpable homicide of Bailey Gwynne. I have to sentence you in respect of these crimes.
‘I accept, as submitted on your behalf, that you have no previous convictions nor is there any record of violence.
‘I have also borne in mind your age and immaturity. Because you are 16 years of age I have to take account, as one of the primary considerations in deciding on sentence, your welfare and the desirability of you being reintegrated into society.
‘I also have considered the need for punishment and deterrence of others. The safety of the public is a further primary consideration.
‘Taking all of the circumstances into account, I have come to the conclusion that the only suitable disposal is a period of custody.
‘You chose to buy the weapons online so that you would not be asked for proof of age and you arranged to have them delivered in such a way that your mother would not know about them.
‘You took them to school on several occasions. I wish to make clear to you and anyone else who is ever tempted to carry a knife that the courts will regard that as a very serious matter.
‘It is obvious that buying the knife and taking it to school is what started the terrible course of events that led to Bailey losing his life.
‘If you had not carried a knife, the exchange of insults between you and Bailey would have led at the worst to a fist fight in which there would probably have been no serious injury and almost certainly no loss of life.’
Scott Disick says that he’s so grateful that Rob Kardashian is happy with Blac Chyna.
via People:
“I’m just so so grateful and happy about it,” Disick told PEOPLE of Kardashian’s reemergence. “There’s literally nothing but happiness.”
Many have attributed Kardashian’s happiness to his new girlfriend Blac Chyna. Disick, 32, indicated that he’s not totally privy to Karashian’s relationship status, but he feels like there is bliss in his life.
“I don’t know anything more than that,” Disick said “I’m just happy that he’s happy.”
Earlier this week, Disick said in an interview that he thought that fame had come too quickly for the 29-year-old, who was catapulted into the spotlight when he starred alongside his family in Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“He was just getting out of college, and then he became famous quickly – I think it was a lot for him to handle,” Disick said. “And I don’t think that’s exactly the path he wanted to be on, and he just got caught in the middle of it. So he had to take some time off.”
On Friday, Kourtney Kardashian‘s ex was in Las Vegas, hanging out at 1 OAK, as he often does.
The former reality star hung out in a VIP area behind the deejay booth as DJ Ikon played a mix of hip hop and house. Disick often hangs in this same private area and there’s even a pillow embroidered with his name on it that permanently sits on a coach, even when he’s not at the Vegas hotspot.
On Friday, the reality star again casually drank at the dinner at Mirage’s Stack and the nightclub, where he hung out with the club owner Eli Pacino, Alec Monopoly and several friends.
In his world, all is well.
“Things are good,” he said, “just relaxing and hanging around, working and traveling and doing these nightclub things here and there, mainly at 1 OAK.”
Popular Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw has just dealt one of her fans a savage blow, lol!
Hours ago, one of her fans tried to make amends for the wrong she had done and had sent the screen goddess a private message, apologising for what she had said. But Henshaw had other plans; she put the follower on the blast by publishing the private message.

See the private message and note:
Recall that Kate Henshaw had warned fans who troop to her page to post negative comments. It all started when a rude fan called her ‘ugly’ and he was rightly put in his place by the screen goddess who rebuked him in the harshest terms. Later she put up a note. “‘Come at me with evil spewing out of your mouth and all gloves are off!” She said.
Yesterday,HKN act, Davido and his team touched down Congo where he was scheduled to perform. At the hotel, Davido was overwhelmed when an excited fan met him for the first time and broke down in tears, crying, “Davido, Davido.”
The singer could be heard consoling the astounded fan. “Calm down,” Davido said, helping the young man to his feet, before pulling him in for a hug. “This guy is the biggest fan I have ever met,” he added.
Meanwhile, the ‘Aye’ singer claims he missed his flight and so his crew had to chatter a private jet to the central African country. “What do you do when you miss your flight,” Davido asked the HKN rapper B-Red, who responded with a “you chatter a private jet!”

Apparently Wizkid is not quite the Lagos landlord that we thought he was.
LIB reports that the pop star was served with a quit notice from his Lekki phase 1 home yesterday April 1st.
According to LIB, the “Pakurumo” crooner’s eviction notice was received by his ‘reps’, his rent is said to have expired since January this year.
Wizkid announced the house to the world in 2013.
According to LIB:
He was served quit notice yesterday Friday April 1st. (His reps collected it on his behalf) and he was given until April 11th to vacate the premises. A source close to the singer said his people had already started to gradually move his things out of the house.
Wizkid moved into the duplex in 2013 after parting with EME and everyone believed he had bought the house, a notion which the pop star did nothing to correct.
A couple of days back the singer posted some pictures of himself in a massive Atlanta mansion which also {mis}led people into believing it was his property.
Perhaps he is finally moving into his own home, as his people are said to be moving his things from the house already. Never the less he has been given till the 11th of this month to vacate the residence.
You know all those consoling romance lines men give to their aging wives so as to make em feel ageless? You know… something like “Baby, you’re just like fine wine, you look and taste even better with age”
Yup! I know you do know that line… Lol. There are quite a number of Nollywood actress who can be referred to as “fine wine” and it’s certainly not for consolation!
This weekend afternoon, YBL charts up five stunning Nollywood actresses, who are in their 40s and look like they’re in their 30s.
1. Rita Dominic
Super stunning actress, Rita Dominic who few months ago, debuted a blockbuster movie, “Suru’Lere”, is by a fact unarguable one of the most gorgeous actresses in Nollywood and one can agree that the screen diva looks nothing beyond thirty.
She studied Theatre Arts at the Univerisity of Port Harcourt, and landed her first major acting role in 1998. In 2012, she was crowned the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the AMVCA’s for her role in The Meeting.
Dominic is also an exceptional style icon who keeps slaying on the red carpet and her ageless beauty makes her the perfect ambassador for beauty line, Zaron Cosmetics.
Popular female singer, Simi recalls how she grew up while chatting with Saturday Beats recently, taking a trip down memory lane, she said that she has always been a tomboy because she grew among three boys.
“While growing up, I was kind of a tom boy because I have three elder brothers, and from my mum I was the only girl and the last born. So I liked wearing sneakers, baggy jeans, and I was this bad girl who didn’t like too much trouble.”
Simi revealed she and her brothers were spoilt but, the separation of their parents made them grow up faster than expected.
In her words, “My dad spoilt my brothers and I. We watched movies a lot, but my brothers preferred horror movies so we all watched it together. But it was fun. When I was nine years, my parents got separated and that was a really tough time for us because we had to grow up faster but we came through and we were good,” Simi said.
If this doesn’t wow you, I don’t know what will!!!
The photo of this child four months ago when she was starving spread like wild fire on Social Media. It’s apparent now that the baby fell into good hands who fed her well.
The good hands she fell into was that of SakinaMission who picked her up at that time, treated her and more hungry babies for malnutrition.
Look at her cheeks and her smile! It’s just too delightful!
Popular Comedienne, Lepacious Bose, has giving us the most amazing thrill of the month and she definitely can’t be April fooling us cause the day is over!!!
It’s known that the comic act has for a while now being working on her weight loss but this photo she just few seconds ago on her Instagram page got us wowed!!
She has lost quite the weight and now looks like a normal average woman. She shared the thrilling photo and gave it this lengthy caption:
You lose weight, maybe three or four pounds maybe much more. But you slip, have a bad day, or a “weak moment” and you eat something you shouldn’t have. And what do you tell yourself? ‘Now I’ve completely blown it!’ I might as well really binge!
Beware the trap of perfectionism – aim to eat sensibly and healthily most of the time not all the time. Don’t live under a self imposed dictatorship.
We all eat more than we should of the wrong kind of stuff now and then. Think of your weight as something that (once you’ve reached a healthy weight) can go up and down to some extent.
Have a ‘sliding scale’ in your mind of a couple of pounds either side your target weight. Everyone’s weight fluctuates a bit and you should prepare for this. No one can live for long under a self imposed too harsh dictatorship.
The whole idea is to enjoy the journey because it’s the journey of a lifetime. Change what ‘treats’ mean to you.
Like I always say it’s a mind game: all our lives we have been brainwashed; from childhood it’s drummed into us that “treats” consist of fatty, sugary empty calorific stodge.
So what happens next? We start eating healthily and suddenly we have no treats. We feel deprived.
Of course a treat is whatever you decide it is. Is it really a treat to clog arteries, add unsightly fat, feel bad about yourself, risk diabetes and heart disease? Then out of guilt go on a binge?
Write down five treats that don’t involve enhancing fat or sugar. Whether the treat is calling a friend, going for a walk, or even having a cup of special tea or coffee, we can all reward and comfort ourselves. It’s how we do it that counts. Weight loss is not a cure-all
Don’t expect weight loss to cure all of life’s problems. Sure you’ll be healthier, fitter and so on, and that will have positive and maybe unexpected positive ripple effects but, as a slimmer person, you’ll still have a bad day in the office, moments of self doubt, times when you feel undervalued.
Believe it or not, many people feel let down when they become slimmer and then find that being slim doesn’t solve all their problems in one go (i discovered that the hard way and it was a painful reality) to be continued.
