The actresshad a chat with Punch Newspapers, and disclosed that the attention which she gets when wearing a bum short stopped her from wearing it.
In her words, “I can’t be seen wearing bum shorts. I am not a fan of that. I just don’t like it. I used to wear shorts when I was younger but when I got older, I stopped. An Indian-origin husband and wife, believed to be the world’s oldest married couple, have celebrated their 90th wedding anniversary in the UK.
Karam and Kartari Chand, 110 and 103 respectively, tied the knot in a traditional Punjabi ceremony in India on December 11, 1925, during the British Raj and moved to England 40 years later.
“It is a blessing to have been married and to have lived this long. Life and marriage is all about happiness, it is what is most important,” said Karam.
The couple have eight children, 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and live with their youngest son Paul, his wife and two of their four children. Paul believes the secret to a happy marriage like his parents’ is not to argue.
“Marriage is all about compromise and I believe my parents have had such a long marriage because they have had a happy and stress-free one. In all my years with them, I have never seen them argue and not once have I seen them become angry with each other. I believe that is their secret,”

Last night, December 12, 2015, the Nigerian premiere of the movie ‘Beast of No Nation’ which starred Idris Elba was held at the Silverbird Galleria in Lagos.

Beautiful Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu is not letting her marital issues weigh her down as she keeps doing greater things, The Actress who just floated a film academy, has announced that the school will be opened officially in two weeks time.
Located at D’Rovans/Wallan Hotel, Ring Road Ibadan, Oyo state, the school, according to the talented actress, is an attempt to give back to the society.
‘Many people have been calling me that they want to be like me and I feel the only way for them to be like me is to get a good training. So, I decided to set up a school where they can get trained. I have been thinking of how to give back to the society and I realized that this is an avenue to do so’, she told NET.
On why she chose to set up the school in Ibadan…
she said, ‘Many people don’t know I’m an Ibadan girl. Though I am a native of Edo state, I was brought up Ibadan. Initially, I was considering setting up the school in Lagos, but the cost of land there is outrageous. ‘Where we are using now is not really ours, we have a big site that we are building and it will be completed next year. We decided to start the school this year because the pressure on us to kick off is very high.’ Named Toyin Aimakhu Films Academy, the school will also house Toyin’s corporate office.
With the development, the ‘Alakada’ actress has joined the likes of Muyiwa Ademola and Femi Adebayo, who owns film schools in the ancient city of Ibadan.
According to several online reports today, it looks like Mavins artist, Tiwa Savage is set to release her sophomore (2nd) studio album “RED” this month, December 2015.
The mother of one is reportedly on the verge of dropping the album in the coming days and is already finalizing plans to make sure it’s a major hit when its released.

Tiwa Savage is obviously looking to get regain her crown and status as the queen of Nigeria music industry, which was snagged off her by Yemi Alade during her short leave from the music scene.
The death of a 20 year old National Diploma (ND) Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) student of the state owned Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Wunmi Agbeluyi, shocked many after a herbalist allegedly helped her to terminate the pregnancy.
However, detectives in the Ondo State Police command have picked up the herbalist who allegedly put the deceased in the family way and in a desperate bid to terminate the pregnancy gave her some concoction to drink in order to flush it down. He is currently being quizzed at the Special Investigative Bureau (SIB).
Reports from Police detectives indicated that the deceased who is now an orphan was the daughter of a herbalist. The suspect, according to findings is an apprentice to the father of the deceased when he was alive.
According to Vanguard, the suspect has been showing interest in the deceased before her father’s death but was hindered because the late father disapproved of the relationship.
But when the father later died, the suspect walked his way into the heart of the deceased and a relationship ensued and he begin to fend for her. Some years into the relationship, the unexpected reportedly happened and the suspect reportedly prepared a concoction for his lover to terminate the unwanted pregnancy.
It was gathered that the lovers agreed that they were not ready to be parents hence the option of an abortion. The deceased was said to have taken the concoction and after some days she develop-ed severe abdominal pain.
Sensing that trouble was knocking at his door, the suspect was said to have rushed her to a private hospital where the doctor who was recently picked up and quizzed by detectives helped them to evacuate the remnants of the pregnancy.
After the flushing by the doctor in the private hospital, her persistent complaint of abdominal pain made the suspect to relocate her to the State general hospital where she later gave up the ghost. While all these were happening the deceased did not confide in her sister (Funke ).
A friend by name Omololu reportedly informed her that the deceased was admitted to the state hospital after which she rushed there to meet her sister in pain.
The deceased according to sources informed her sister that the suspect gave her a concoction to drink and that the pain started since then. The suspect reportedly told Funke that Wunmi was rushed to the hospital when she complained of abdominal pain. He did not disclose to her that he gave her concoction in a bid to terminate her pregnancy.
However, reports had it that the lovers also did not open up for the doctors that attended to her at the State hospital until she gave up the ghost.
It was gathered that it was after she died and taken back to Ijare for burial that the cause of her untimely death was exposed.
Some sympathisers informed the deceased’s sister what actually happened before the suspect rushed the deceased to a private hospital where the remnants of the pregnancy were flushed out and was referred to the state hospital where she later died when the pain did not subside.
Funke and other family members reported the matter to the traditional of Ijare- Olujare of Ijare who advised them to lodge a complaint with the Police. The suspect and the medical doctor were later picked up and detained.
Speaking with Vanguard, the sister Funke said that the deceased was the last born of the family.
According to her
“It was a friend called Omololu who informed me that my sister has been admitted in the State specialist hospital and was critically ill. “ I rushed to the hospital to meet my sister in pain complaining of stomach ache. She insisted that the doctors should not give her injection or drips as prescribed.
“While we were in the hospital Wunmi refused to disclose why she was given the concoction. According to her, the deceased later died in the hospital and was buried on Sunday in Ijare. “It was after the burial that people came to me and narrated what really happened to my sister
“I informed the family members and we reported the matter to the Olujare of Ijare who asked us to lodge a formal complaint with the Police. “I was informed that someone gave her concoction to abort the pregnancy but when she complained of abdominal pain, she was rushed to the hospital “I was later informed that the doctor in the private hospital billed them N25,000 and an initial deposit of N20,000 was paid. It was the doctor that helped them to flush out the remnants of the pregnancy.
“But when the pains persisted I learnt she was rushed to the specialist hospital where she later died. “Funke said the family would want justice to be done and pleaded that the police should not sweep the matter under the carpet. “We will pursue the matter to a logical conclusion and those behind the death of our last born should be made to face the music”, she said.

Recall, earlier this year, The actress announced that she has divorced her husband as a result of what we should call irreconcilable differences, a marriage that brought forth two lovely daughters.
The actress got really pissed after a fan blasted her on Instagram on why she was still using her ex-husband’s name.

Nigerian banks suffered more bank robberies this year than the previous 5 years combined and some of them made headlines thanks to the high fatality rate.

Three commercial banks including First Bank, Wema Bank and Skye Bank were attacked by dare devil armed robbers in Owo, Ondo stata on Thursday March 26th, 2015 and not less than 20 people were killed including bank managers, customers, security officials and school children on the road.
7 policemen were also reported dead by the Police command.
N9.3 million cash were recovered when police officials arrested suspects of the well orchestrated robbery incident.
Oluchi Ajimowu, a 29-year-old Lagos State based businessman, is now in the custody of the State Department for Criminal Investigation, Yaba, for his alleged involvement in the death of his wife, Priscillia, the Festac area of the state, the Punch Newspaper reports.
It was gathered that the police are not convinced with Ajimowu’s explanation that his 23-year-old wife drank poison as they are looking at the possibility that he may have beaten her to death, because there was a severe injury on her head. He then went ahead to record her dying moments for over 40 minutes.
The police understood that Ajimowu had locked the deceased in her room on November 29, seized her phone and went out with their two children but on coming, he met his wife foaming in the mouth.
The dying woman who was a nurse, pleaded with her husband to take her to the hospital but he refused and instead, gave her palm oil to drink before using his phone to record the scene till the woman gave up the ghost.
Family sources however say that prior to the incident, Ajimowu had subjected his wife to inhuman treatment for the four years they spent in South Africa, before he came back to Nigeria four months ago, while Priscilla came back on November 27, two days before her death.
Shortly after her death, Ajimowu put thir house up for sale and was about escaping before the police arrested him.
Speaking on the constant feud between her parents, their first child, a seven-year-old called Ella, there was a pesticide and a drink in the room where her mother was on the fateful day, but that her father was not nice to her mother while they were in South Africa.
“Dad used to shout at mummy and beat her and she would be crying. That day (November 29), we left her alone in the house. Daddy took the keys and mummy’s phone and locked mummy inside.
When we came back home, daddy packed outside, locked us inside the car and went inside. After that, he called us and said: ‘come, come and see your mummy on the floor’. Mummy was saying, ‘Take me to the hospital, I’m tired’. He started videoing her. He gave her red oil, but she spat it out. Her body was cold.”
The mother of the late woman, Mrs. Stella Ayobo, said her daughter was to visit her on the day she died, but later cancelled the visit.
She also added that her daughter had not been happy since she got married to Ajimowu seven years ago, saying that he had, shortly after his wife’s death, reported at the Aguda Police Division, saying a friend took poison and died in his house.
Four years ago, they went to South Africa. She always called me to report how Oluchi maltreated her.
She came back to Nigeria on November 27. She visited me on November 28 and promised to visit me again the following day, being a Sunday.
But that day, around 8am, she called me that she would not be able to come again and promised to come with her children on Friday.
Around 8pm that Sunday, her husband called me that she had been vomiting since morning and I told him to take her to a nearest hospital. He later called me and said it was a poison she took. I told him to bring her.
By the time she brought her, she was dead. We took her to a hospital and the doctor said she had died.
He went to the Aguda Police Station to report that a girl visited him from South Africa, took a poison and died in his house.”
The deceased’s uncle, Francis Ayobo, has urged the police to begin an intense investigation into the matter, adding that Ajimowu was not remorseful after her wife’s death.
“It is so surprising that the wife was dying and the husband started videoing her. The videos were more than 40 minutes. He sent it to Priscillia’s sister in South Africa. By that time he would have rushed her to a hospital for treatment.
I noticed that about three other guys were in the background of one of the video because somebody was giving her water and she was foaming in the mouth. Those things should be questioned.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Joe Offor, confirmed the incident, saying that the Aguda Police Station arrested the husband and handed him over to the Satellite Town Police Division.

Onyinyechi came to the shop today to see me, to show me the latest designs her aunty made on her body with bite and belt marks included.
Flogging her with belt and giving her a red patch on her eye was not enough, she had to bite her too and she is not going to school.

A 28-yr-old man has reportedly confessed after his arrest, to travelling from Abuja to Lagos for the sole purpose of stealing, before heading home for the festivities.
Ikechukwu Godspower, has according to reports, been sentenced to 6 months in jail with the option of community service for 72 hours in and around the court premises.
Godspower was arrested for committing a felony by the police and had reportedly confessed to coming from Abuja to Lagos so he could steal to celebrate Christmas back home in the village, reported to be in the south south region of Nigeria.
According to PM News, Godspower had been arrested while attempting to vandalise a Toyota 4Runner SUV, managing to escape into a canal after being caught.
Godspower was later arrested at a super market on Osolo Way after allegedly breaking the inner entrance glass door to steal from it super market.
His plans went haywire when he was caught by security men on duty and was handed over to the police at Aswani division.
Godspower is said to have revealed during questioning that he lives in Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja before coming to Lagos.
Since Godspower was found to have no fixed address from where he could perform the community service, he has been taken back to prison to serve the 6 months jail term.
