Education shapes your reasoning, communication skills and generally your orientation. It’s not pride, if you date someone that isn’t within your mental wavelength…….you will lose your mind!”

Controversial media personality, Solomon Buchi, has claimed that unmarried men do not need to consider their financial stability before marriage.
Solomon, who wed in February 2023, expressed his opinion on Twitter that money shouldn’t be a barrier to guys getting married.
He gave the example of his younger sister who married at the age of 22 to a man who had an oil company position but lost it six months later, saying that a man needs a sensible woman who is prepared to face life with him, not money.
He wrote;
“My kid sis got married at 22 to my friend, 25. He was working with a top oil company; doing absolutely well for himself. Six months into marriage, he was laid off because of COVID. I know a lot of men want to have strong financial base to get married, but that’s not what you need. What you need is a partner that understands the reality that you can lose everything, and they need to be there for you. Marriage thrives on understanding and contentment—come what may, both of you will hold it together. That’s the real control and security you can have.
Men, money shouldn’t stop you from getting married. It shouldn’t. I understand the societal pressure, but there’s no guarantee that all the riches you want to build can’t fly away. Life happens, and you need a woman who will embrace you when life happens. I bet that if my in-law foresaw that he’d have lost his job 6 months into marriage, he most likely wouldn’t have gotten married, till last year that he was called back. Don’t let the aspiration to have money stacked up somewhere stop you from getting married.
If you have a job, accommodation & food, you can get married. It will be better if your partner also has income flow too. Stop waiting to have your house/be a millionaire before you marry. I wanted to have my house before marriage, guess who’s married & doesn’t have a house yet?
I daresay that many couples spend less than singles, because there’s a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork and accountability. My younger sister once told me that I spent more money as a single man than they spent as a family, it made me illuminated my mind. Marriage can be economical, especially when children aren’t involved, and when you cut your coat according to your cloth. It’s really not that deep. Most of our parents had only accommodation and food when they got married, and they grew with time.
Before my wedding, I brooded over the financial cost that comes with marriage, and I shared with my friend cum brother-in-law and told me that I can’t control everything, and I should just get married & face life with my wife. That’s what I’d have done as a single man, anyway. It’s a highly consumerist world, but you still tailor everything to your budget. Wed on a weekday, invite a few friends, rent the wedding dress, get a photographer friend to help you, you don’t need an exotic honeymoon immediately. Please save some money for life in marriage.
If your family complains, tell them you’re working with a budget, and if they want it bigger, they can sponsor it. Simple. Men, you don’t need the world to marry. Marry a reasonable woman; start small, never stay lazy. If you know your stuff, you will save more more in marriage.
Financial stability for marriage is having a source of income that can feed, house and clothe you; as long as it’s legitimate work. This is the sign you need to make that bold step, unless you’re generally not ready for marriage, but if it’s about finances, go and marry!”

He’ll gimme cash. He promised 15k for a massage, that’s for starters… The idea was scary at first. But when I went home. My LGBTKRQ mind analysed it. Till I saw almost nothing wrong with it. I know how I battled with the thoughts for days. After like 5 days, I told him I’ll do it. We fixed a date. A Monday.
On Sunday while in church my mind was racing. Omo I’ve never been in such a dilemma before. I told myself, nothing dey here, run am with CD(which he agreed), collect your money and go, nobody will know.
While heading back home on Monday from my father’s house, in the coach, I randomly opened my Bible app and I stumbled on a portion in Hebrews… Heb 12. I read it more than once. Throughout that day the verse was on my mind. Late in the afternoon, I was walking alone, someone asked me, in my head, “Bob are you worth N300k?” I paused and thought . No, I’m worth more than that I replied. The voice sked again, “so you go knack that manchi collect 300k, after the money finish nko? Mean say you go dey knack people collect money” That was when I realised that I was about doing runs boy with a touch of LGBTKRQ. OMO I carry phone tell my guy say I no dey do am again. He asked Why? I said I didn’t feel like it again. “what about the money?” I told him I didn’t want his money anymore. He got mad
Long story cut short. 3 people decided to sponsor me, one sent 100k 4 days afterwards. I sorted the issue smoothly. They are still sponsoring me as we speak and I’ve spent more than 300k that’s not my money since 2021. Then I asked myself what if I had knack my guy, naso I for turn LGBTKRQ pikin overnight and them for use me cos I’ll see money and become a slave to it.

A young man identified as Julius Chukwuebuka was able to escape kidnappers’ den in Anambra forest about two months after he was abducted in Rivers State.
In April this year, Ebuka boarded a taxi from Port Harcourt to Choba, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, for a job and never got to his destination.
His boss, Prestige Chituru Ikechi, who confirmed the development to newsmen on Monday, June 5, 2023, revealed that the taxi was said to belong to suspected organ harvesters.
According to him, Ebuka and other kidnap victims were taken to Anambra State,
“When he got to Rumuokoro, he entered another vehicle. The people inside the vehicle were talking, he was beginning to feel uncomfortable, so he wanted to come down, and they refused to let him,” Chituru explained.
“When he tried to argue with them, they brought out a gun. At that point, he realized he had gotten into the wrong hand. Then they blindfolded him. He saw himself in a location where he met other people in a room.
“He said every day, they come and they pick one or two persons. Their number kept reducing, until they moved them to another location.”
According to Chituru, the victims escaped when a local vigilante group in the Ozobulu area in Anambra State, intercepted the vehicle used in moving them to another location.
“The people wanted to move them to another location, they now encountered a vigilante group that questioned the kidnappers about what they were carrying,” he said.
“Before they knew it, a fight ensued, and they started firing shots. While they were fighting, he removed his blindfold and tapped some persons who were inside the vehicle with him. They now opened the vehicle and ran into the bush,”
Chituru beckoned on members of the public to be mindful of the kind of vehicles they enter in Rivers State.
