Handsome Nollywood Actor – Ramsey Nouah is opening up for the first time about the struggles he faced growing up and how that has helped shape him into the man he is today.
The 44-year-old husband and father of 3 shared how he used to live on the streets and sleep in a tiny store that could only take one mat with his mother.
He shared his story:
Those were the times when things got really bad for my mother and I and we had nothing. It was so bad that we didn’t have a home to live in. We had to stay in a store, one that could take only one mat. My mother and I squeezed ourselves in that mat. We didn’t even have a cup to drink water, talk more of a stove to cook on. My mother had to borrow, beg and stuff like that.
Those moments, those terrible moments we had nothing and we were living off people. People were just helping us out. There were times we didn’t have food to eat three or four days. You haven’t eaten and your stomach is rumbling but you don’t have any place to go. There was a time I lived on the streets, in shops. There was a time I slept under the bridge. It was unfortunate that there were no records so that we can have memories we could play back now. To me, I am so extremely grateful that I went through it. At that time, I hated everybody around me. In fact, I used to question why God was doing this to me. But I think God knew that I needed this for my future
These were moments when I was young. I didn’t realize the gravity of the poverty we were in. I couldn’t tell, but it was good orientation for me. Those were moments when I thank God for making me pass through, because they have sustained and helped me even as an actor. The ability to deliver all the roles they give me comes from having tasted both sides of the coin.
Celebrities do the strangest things, and that includes giving their children unusual names. Sometimes the names are a bit silly, and sometimes they are totally baffling.

Hours after the animal escaped from the wildlife park, it was killed by officials of the Operation Safe Haven.
Director of Press Affairs of Governor Simon Lalong, Emmanuel Nanle, confirmed the development, saying the lion was killed before it could harm anyone.
Nanle said, “Security men haunted the lion and killed it as soon as they were contacted. So people should go about their normal duties as there is no threat to their lives from the animal.”
Meanwhile, operators of the park disclosed that the lion was shot after it attempted to attack its rescuers.
A lion escaped from the Jos Wild Life Park on Wednesday according to John Doy, Acting General Manager, Plateau Tourism Corporation.
He said the lion escaped “at about 8 a.m. while it was being fed”.
Doy said that the lion, which had been caged since 1972, “slipped through the gate of the cage when it was opened for its routine feeding. The animal is still within the vicinity of the Park but our fear is that the Park is not fenced. We are struggling to recapture it, but we want members of the public to be vigilant,” he said.
The acting general manager said that he had already informed all security agencies to come to the Park’s assistance.
Naomi Cishak, Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), confirmed news of the escape, but said that the office had not been officially informed.
“We have not been officially informed, but we are aware of the incident; that is why we have not deployed our personnel there.”
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer, Plateau Police Command, Emmanuel Abuh, said: “We are somewhere, cannot talk to anyone”.

On Air Personality – Toke Makinwa shared a lengthy post on Instagram talking about religion and how there are several misinterpretations of the word of God.
Toke talks about how people should embrace success and wealth because that is how God wants it.
She wrote:
I don’t do religion, I think one of the major problems in the world today is religion. Wars have started in the name of religion, people are lost in certain doctrines, they don’t know who God is. God is not a poor God, God does not delight in poverty! Being a Child of God does not mean you shouldn’t desire the fine things of life.
The street of heaven is made of Gold. Stop buying the lies sold to you. God wants you to flourish, to dominate, to subdue the earth. You can dream big, it is your duty to carry the light of God.
Stop with the Vanity upon Vanity talk, every single person that worked with and for God was blessed. Soooo blessed at that. Those days it was in cattle, land and much more. If that doesn’t tell you that you should be blessed, I don’t know what will.
My last post inspired this. I just feel the need to encourage someone out there. Find God on your own and work out your own salvation. Your father owns the heavens and the earth, you should be at the top. Stop judging, not every successful person has sold their soul to the devil.
You don’t know their walk with God, Jesus met the lady at the well and asked her for a drink, she had been married many times and was living with a man that wasn’t her husband but Christ went there cos he knew she would come to draw water, do you think Jesus needed the water? You think he couldn’t command water to rise? he knew she needed salvation, he went there cos he knew she would come and he approached her not with judgement but with kindness.

The mother of a teen who committed suicide after suffering from what she calls a rare allergy to Wi-Fi is accusing her daughter’s school of failing to protect her.
Jenny Fry, 15, was found hanging from a tree near her home in the U.K. last June. Her story is now coming to light because of a legal investigation into the cause of Jenny’s death.
Her mother, Debra Fry, told the Mirror that Jenny suffered from blinding headaches, fatigue, concentration problems, and bladder issues that she says were caused by electro-hypersensitivity syndrome (EHS), a condition in which electromagnetic radiation emitted from wireless technology, including Wi-Fi, cellphones, and cell towers, causes debilitating physical symptoms.
Although Jenny’s parents had removed Wi-Fi from their home, which helped, it was still present at her school.
“Both Jenny and I were fine at home, but Jenny continued to be ill at school in certain areas,” said Fry.
Jenny received several detentions in school, not for being disruptive in class, but because she’d often have to leave the classroom to find an area away from Wi-Fi where she could concentrate.
Fry had shared information about Wi-Fi’s potential problems with the head teacher of Jenny’s school, Simon Duffy, but according to Fry, Duffy told her there was an equal amount of information that shows Wi-Fi is harmless.
“I also had a heated exchange with teachers telling them Jenny was allergic to Wi-Fi, and that it made no sense making her take detentions in rooms that were making her ill,” said Fry. “The least they could do was allow her to take them in rooms where she felt able to concentrate, but they wouldn’t listen.”
Fry believes Jenny’s suicide attempt was meant to be a cry for help. A police statement said that on the day Jenny died, she had texted a friend twice, telling the friend about her intentions to commit suicide and stating where she was, according to the Mirror.
But her friend didn’t have her phone with her to see the texts in time.
“Jenny left letters for us where she said she couldn’t cope with her allergies from Wi-Fi anymore,” Fry told the Telegraph. “She left them for us in case things went too far, but I don’t believe she wanted to die.”

A High Court sitting in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, and presided over by Justice Elias Abuo, has sentenced one Benjamin Okem, to life imprisonment for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl repeatedly over a period, reports CrossRiverWatch.
The verdict, according to the report, was a victory for the Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, a leading human rights organization in the state committed to the protection and promotion of the rights of children and indigent women, which had reported the case on the February, 11, 2013.
The organization had dutifully documented the case, supported the victim, pressed for criminal charges on the accused and meticulously watched the complainant’s brief throughout the prosecution of the case in court.
In his judgment, Justice Abuo lambasted the guardian of the innocent victim for exposing the victim to the vulnerable environment which the convict took advantage of.
The judgement incidentally, came on the day the United Nations marked the International Day For Elimination Of Violence Against Women.
