Ghanaian-American singer, Ama Serwah Genfi, professionally known as Amaarae, has stated that Nigerian music icon, Tiwa Savage paved the path for her in the African music industry.
During an interview on Ghana’s 3FM 92.7, she made the claim and said that the ‘All Over’ crooner has always been encouraging of her.
Amaarae, who appeared on Tiwa’s Tales By Moonlight, named the Nigerian Singer one of her favorite collaborators.
The singer claimed she admires the former Mavin first lady because of how devout, generous, and modest she is, despite the fact that she is the top female performer in the music industry.

A Gambian pastor, Owen Abraham, has allegedly disappeared in Ibadan with 52 phones, money, and other items belonging to worshipers who had attended a crusade.
The religious leader, who claimed to have been guided by God to go from the Gambia to Ibadan, Oyo State, organized the crusade in Aponrin in the Agbowo neighborhood.
Abraham allegedly tricked the victims into three days of fasting and prayer, but on the final day of the crusade, he vanished after all attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.
According to the Nigerian News Agency, the pastor stated that the Holy Spirit told him to instruct everyone in attendance to turn in their phones, money, and other valuables on the last day of the crusade.
However, he was said to have left with those things.
Mrs. Grace Akintola, a widow, claimed that many widows joined the crusade because Abraham promised to provide each of them a bag of food, some cash, and scholarships.
She said;
“The pastor approached an Igbo lady in our area to assist him to gather widows and students, saying he wanted to help us. Someone in my area invited me for the crusade. He wore pastor regalia. He said he will buy a house for one of us and that the house will be fully furnished. He promised some people that attended the crusade money. Even politicians cannot give out such amounts he promised. On the last day of the crusade, he sold a bottle of water for us at the rate of N4,800. He said perfume is inside the bottle water. Many people paid for the water.”
Another victim, a student of University of Ibadan (UI) added; “the evangelist collected their phones so as to keep it away from them and focus on the prayers. Unknowingly, it was a trick to get our belongings. He said no phone should ring, that was why he collected all the phones. In fact, a lady stood up and wanted to take his photographs but he seized the phone from her. On the last day of the crusade, he said he wanted to go and rest at the hotel where he lodged. He later said he wanted to go and eat at UI; we don’t know how he escaped with our belongings. As a man of God, we respected him a lot, we didn’t know that he wanted to use the name of God to dupe us.”
Pastor Abraham’s name and image have been on posters that have been plastered and distributed across Aponrin, prompting villagers to declare him to be wanted.

Recall that Richard came online days ago to accuse Bella of threatening to falsely accuse him of rape.
He claimed Bela was threatening to accuse him of rape because he turned down her sexual advances and demanded the money she owed him.
To back his claim, he shared a video of Bella apologizing for falsely accusing him of rape.
He also went to a police station to file a complaint against her, demanding that she be arrested and jailed for a false rape accusation.
The saga caused a huge stir, with many berating Bella until she shared her side of the story with screenshots of their conversation.
She shared screenshots of their chats, in which Richard invited her to visit him and threatened to pull her wig when she visits.

Chinagorom Emmanuel, a 24-year-old robbery suspect arrested in Delta State, has confessed that he went into robbery to raise money to give his late mother a proper burial.
According to Punch, the suspect confessed after being apprehended by Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante Group members in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of the state.
Emmanuel, from Abia State, allegedly specialized in stealing phones and other valuables in Agbor and other communities in Delta state.
Speaking to reporters, the suspect said he is an electrical technician who resorted to stealing in order to give his mother, whose body is in the mortuary, a befitting burial as the first son.
“I enter people’s shops pretending to buy an item. But I aim to steal valuable items like phones. This is my first time in Agbor, and I met my waterloo in one of my victim’s shops,”he said.
He further revealed that he choose to start stealing since he had nobody to help him. According to him, he sells the stolen phones to a northerner based in Asaba.
He went on to plead for mercy, stating that his criminal activities has brought shame and disgrace upon him.
In response to the arrest, the Chairman of Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante, Comrade Monday Kiyem, stated that with their security outfit, it is the end of the road for Emmanuel’s criminality because they do not compromise crime.
He added that criminals who are apprehended will be made to face the wrath of the law for causing people pain.
“Emmanuel is in the business of stealing phones. We have found many sim cards and phones in his possession and many of his victims we succeeded in calling complained that their phones were stolen,” Kiyem stated.
“Some of their Agbor victims have come to our office to identify their phones and narrated how Emmanuel came to their shops pretending to buy an item and stole their phones. I will hand Emmanuel over to the police for further investigation and bring his fleeing gang members to book”, he added.

A Nigerian man, Austine Imoniche Oviosun, has taken to social media to celebrate after he and his wife, Chidimma, bagged doctorate degrees on the same day.
Oviosun and his wife bagged doctorate degrees from the College of Medicine at the University of Nigeria.

Danish aid worker,Anja Ringgren Loven, has celebrated a young girl rescued by her team in Akwa-Ibom ten years ago after she was branded a witch and abandoned by her family.
The founder of Land of Hope took to Facebook on Thursday, April 6th, to share before and after photos of Charity, showing her transformation since being rescued on April 5th, 2013.
Anja said Charity was accused of witchcraft and was ostracized by her family and community. She begged for food during the day and slept in an abandoned house at night, before she was rescued by the humanitarian group.

“Yesterday was VERY special. It was exactly 10 years ago Land of Hope Director of Child Development Nsidibe Orok and I found Charity in an abandoned house,” Ms Loven wrote.

Recall that Richard Osita made headlines recently after he revealed that his friend, Bella Nwoko, threatened to accuse him of rape because he turned down her sexual advances and also asked her to refund the money she owes him.
In a follow-up post, he revealed that he had reported the incident to the police, who had not taken him seriously.
Uche responded to Richard’s post by advising him to quit being vengeful and to move on because his friend had simply threatened to accuse him but had not really done so.

A student of the Adekunle Ajasin University in Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, has been stabbed to death by an indigene during an argument over a N1,000 debt.
The deceased, simply identified as Temitayo, was stabbed with a pair of scissors in the early hours of Thursday, April 6, in the Akungba area of the state.
Temitayo was rushed to Aduloju Hospital along Iwaro Road, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
He recently signed out from the department of physics and electronics and was still in school waiting to defend his undergraduate project.
The university’s student union source told People’s Gazette that Temitayo had intervened in a debt payment dispute between an “Egbon Adugbo” and a third party, where he promised to settle the bill for the latter.
He was able to pay 3000 naira out of the 4000 naira but was unable to pay the remaining 1,000 naira outstanding, which resulted in an argument, causing his death.
“A guy (the third party) was owing them money,” the source said “and he told them (the perpetrators) that he will help the guy to pay the money to avoid drama. So he paid 3k out of the 4K and couldn’t raise the last 1k. So they started disturbing him and he said they should stop disturbing him that he did not owe them that he only rendered a help and this afternoon(today) a guy came into the villa.
“As usual they acted as Egbon ADUGBO to collect money. So he said he can’t give them, which led into an argument as if they’d meant to deal with him … and they came from nowhere to stab him after a lot of arguments and they scattered the villa with bottles and spoiled our gate.” The source said.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed the incident, saying,
“An indigene had an issue with a student, and one thing led to another, and he stabbed the student, which resulted in the student’s death.
“Students took to the street to protest. The body was taken to the morgue by the police, and while it was there, some people mobilized to the suspect’s mother’s house to set it ablaze.
“The police and the people are there to put out the fire. I believe supporting divisions, Ikare and Iwaro Area Command will join Akungba personnel to restore peace and normalcy.”

Oyin said she started sensing trouble when she noticed a strange message on his phone while they were vacationing in Dubai in April 2022.
em>“Every time I see her pictures, it makes me sad,” the message read.
She said she questioned her husband, and he brushed it off, claiming it was a woman from his past who keeps harassing him.
However, as the weeks passed and she returned to the USA with her husband, she checked her husband’s phone and found a strange number that called regularly.
She said she called, but the woman denied having anything to do with her husband.
Unknown to her, the woman named Bunmi Adedapo had married her husband a year earlier, in 2021, and their wedding pictures were on social media with their wedding hashtag.
Upon more digging, she realized that her husband, who told her he was in Nigeria for a project, was actually there to be with his new wife.
Oyindamola said that at one point she confronted her in-laws, who all assured her that her husband wasn’t seeing another woman, though it appeared that they knew about it.

“In a life that now feels like a distant memory, I basked in the warmth of what I believed to be a happy family. I was blissfully unaware of the storm brewing beneath the surface, until July 1st, 2022, when my world came crashing down. On that fateful day, I discovered my husband tuns2010 had secretly married another woman @treasure_1989 The shocking revelation left me reeling, as I tried to comprehend how this could have happened right under my nose. For twelve long years, I had been married to a man I thought I knew inside and out. Little did I know that the person I had devoted my life to had been leaving a double life.
The first time I encountered the other woman, Bunmi. My husband and I were in Dubai april 2022, soaking up the sun and enjoying what I thought were moments of marital bliss. One evening, as we were on a video call with our kids back in USA, a message popped up on his phone. It read, “Every time I see her pictures, it makes me sad.” My heart skipped a beat, and I couldn’t help but question him about the message. My husband brushed it off, saying it was a girl from his past who had been harassing him. He denied knowing her or having any sort of relationship with her.
I wanted to believe him, but deep down, I knew that something wasn’t right. I cried my eyes out, feeling betrayed and helpless. Upon returning to USA, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to do something about the situation. With a heavy heart, I decided to voice my concerns to my husband’s parents. However, their response was I should put my mind at rest that he will never do such a thing,His mother insisted that the lady was merely a business partner, but my husband quickly silenced her from revealing any more. All these contradictions and evasiveness from the family began to take a toll on me psychologically and mentally abusing my sanity.They tried to minimize the issue, dismissing it as neither serious nor deep.
Driven by a desperate need for the truth, I took matters into my own hands. I went through my husband’s phone and found some strange numbers that he had been communicating with on WhatsApp. My heart pounding, one of the numbers i called end up being a female.
I questioned her about her relationship with my husband, but she flatly denied knowing him at all. Feeling cornered, I hung up and sent her a text message, including a picture as proof that her number was saved on his phone as fisayo(which later found out her real name is bunmi adedapo).
Yet, she still denied it, insisting that she had no connection to him whatsoever.
I felt stuck, unsure of how to proceed. It seemed as if everyone involved was determined to keep me in the dark, denying any serious relationship between my husband and Bunmi. But I couldn’t ignore the nagging feeling that there was more to this story, and I knew I had to keep digging to uncover the truth. However, I kept hopes up. Thinking the marriage was salvageable.
On June 20th, 2022, my husband informed me that he needed to travel to Nigeria for an important project. I wasn’t keen on the idea, but he managed to convince me with documentary evidence that he had been approved for a 57,000,000 Naira grant for the(ig exelon_io)exelon oil and gas station he is building. He insisted that he had to be in Nigeria to monitor and supervise the project personally.
On June 27th, 2022, I found out that my son had also contracted COVID-19 and started running a fever. I was furious with him for leaving us in such a vulnerable state, and I couldn’t bring myself to answer any of his calls. My anger grew as I struggled to care for my sick child feeling isolated and overwhelmed.
On July 1st, I was resting in bed with my daughter when I received a phone call from a friend of mine. She inquired about the whereabouts of my husband and asked if there were any problems in the marriage. I told her there was no issue, aside from him leaving for Nigeria while i was sick with our son.
She then asked if that was truly the only problem in our home. My curiosity grew I asked her what she meant. My friend sent me a picture that made my heart drop –they were dressed in white and pink coordinating colors, looking all too comfortable with each other.
The wind was knocked out of my sails, and I felt completely blank. I dialed his number, my hands shaking with fury. Instead of addressing my concerns, he began interrogating me about not picking up his calls. I couldn’t believe his audacity.
Ignoring his questions, I sent him the picture my friend had shared with me and demanded an explanation. He immediately started apologizing, but I pressed him further, asking him why he was apologizing and what for.
He told me that the lady was celebrating her birthday, and that’s why they were dressed in matching clothes. I couldn’t help but ask why he was the only one matching with her since I didn’t see a crowd of people wearing the same outfits. It was evident to me that there was more to these pictures .All he could say was, “I’m sorry,” before I hung up the phone.
Not long after our conversation, my friend called that they had taken down the picture on. @kolugraphy Instagram page. I couldn’t handle the emotional breakdown alone, so I reached out to family and friends. Their support was invaluable, but I was still emotionally drained and on the verge of a mental breakdown. Determined to find out the truth, I spoke to a friend who had found a mutual friend of bunmi adedapo on Instagram.
Through this connection, I gathered more information that left me reeling. I discovered that tunde oyelade and Bunmi adedapo had been married for a year, and they had just celebrated their first anniversary. I was dumbfounded, struggling to believe the truth that was unfolding before my eyes.
In my desperation, I called Tunde’s mom, hoping she would be honest with me. But she insisted that whatever I was hearing were all lies. She urged me to tell people to stop spreading false information. The next day, friends and family gathered around me, offering their support and condolences. Their presence gave me the courage to believe that there was more to the story than I had been told.
All the while, i kept calling both of them in tears day and night to demand full details of this embarrassment, he said sorry but I needed closure. Two days after the revelation about his infidelity, adultery and bigamy.
On Sunday July 3rd a friend of bunmi called my friend to inform her that Bunmi is in Dubai with my husband not in Nigeria as he had claimed. I didn’t want to believe her, demanding photos, and pictures as proof. To my dismay, she provided the evidence I sought – they were indeed in Dubai.
Feeling desperate for the truth, I video called Tunde, demanding that he show me his hotel room as proof that he was in Nigeria. He refused. I couldn’t hold back my tears. The hurt of being lied to was unbearable.
Despite my anguish, Tunde kept trying to convince me that he was in Nigeria. I decided to call Bunmi again, asking her why she was with him when she knew he was married. She didn’t have a satisfactory answer, and I grew increasingly frustrated.
I reached out to Tunde’s family, they continued to insist that he is in Nigeria, not Dubai. Feeling lost and needing more information, I started contacting more people through Facebook and Instagram, hoping to find proof of Tunde’s deception… She wrote.
A security guard, Friday Samson has been apprehended by the Plateau State Police Command for allegedly killing a 32-year-old lady identified as Ruth Yakadi Bako in Jos North Local Government Area of the State.
According to reports, Ruth was coming from work on Saturday, December 10, 2022, when he approached her, defiled her, and carried away her belongings. The next morning, her body was discovered in the vicinity of a car wash in Farin Gada.
The Laranto Division of the command, under the direction of CSP Pam Dauda Ishaya, sprang into action after the heinous incident and arrested one Ephraim Emmanuel of Angwan Jarawa, Farin-Gada, and Jos with the victim’s phone, according to State Commissioner of Police CP Bartholomew Onyeka in a press conference on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Samson, a choirmaster who admitted to having raped and killed Ruth, was arrested after additional inquiry, the man said. During interrogation, the suspect said that Samson, of the same location, had sold the phone to him one Friday.
The 29-year-old suspect, a father of two, claimed to newsmen that he raped and murdered Ruth after she refused to sleep with him.
Speaking to newsmen, Samson said;
“I am here because I raped and killed someone. I don’t have any reason for what I did but I did it, it is just wickedness of the heart. That day, I just wanted to sleep with her but she refused, due to wickedness, I defiled and killed her.
I am a security guard at a filling station at Farin Gada. That day, I was on duty that night and I saw her passing at about 11 pm. I have never seen her before and I don’t know her but I called her and told her I wanted to sleep with her but she refused. I chased her and caught up with her. That was when I stabbed and raped her.
She was not dead when I raped her, it is just wickedness of the heart. After I raped her, I picked up her phone and held it for one month. After that I sold it to Ephraim Emmanuel, I did not tell him where I got the phone from just that I told him that the phone is mine. I started working in the filling station in August 2022 and I was being paid N28,000.”
Emmanuel, who bought the phone added;
“I bought the phone because I know him as my choirmaster. He did not tell me he was not the owner of the phone and I did not know the story behind the phone. The Police tracked the phone to me and arrested me so I told them who sold the phone to me.”

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a police inspector named Ebri Ubi over the alleged killing of a trader in Asaba, Mr Onyeka Ibe.
This comes after angry youths stormed the state police command headquarter with the corpse of the deceased, whom they claimed was shot dead by the policeman over “N100 bribe”.
The youths blocked a major road in Asaba before carrying the young man’s corpse to the Asaba police headquarters to protest the alleged killing.
Confirming the arrest of the trigger-happy inspector, the spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, said he allegedly shot and killed Mr. Ibe while on stop and search duty along Ugbolu-Illah Road in Oshimili North LGA of the state on Wednesday, April 5.
“The Commissioner of Police Delta State CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, psc+, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of late Mr. Onyeka Ibe, who was reportedly shot dead on the 5/4/2023 at about 0930 hours by an Inspector of Police, one Inspr. Ebri Ubi, while on Stop and Search duty along Ugbolu-Illah Road, Oshimili North LGA, Delta State,” the statement read.
“The Commissioner of Police on receipt of the sad news immediately ordered the arrest and detention of the errant police officer and directed that his transfer to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Asaba where he has further ordered for a thorough and speedy investigation.
“The CP noted that for the Force, being a disciplined organization, will not condone such cruel action by any member of the Force assuring that the offending Officer will be subjected to internal disciplinary measures, including criminal prosecution.
“He therefore appealed to members of the public to remain calm and law abiding, assuring them justice will not just be done but will be seen to have been done.
“The following dedicated phone lines are available to the public to reach the command, as a quick response contact for any complaint or distress situation.

A Nigerian lady, Anita Ofili, who was arrested for allegedly killing her friend in Lagos, has confessed to the crime.
Ofili is alleged to have gruesomely murdered her friend, identified as Glory Okon, in her apartment at Greenville Estate, in the Ajah area of Lagos.
Ofili, while speaking on the reason behind her action, said she waited for ten years to carry out the act as part of a revenge plan.
She claimed her friend, Glory, snatched her boyfriend 10 years ago, and she has been planning revenge ever since.
“Glory and I had been good friends for years, but she betrayed that friendship by snatching my boyfriend.”, she said.
A shout for help from Ofili’s one-room self-contained apartment at 1.20 p.m. on the 26th of March alerted occupants of the building, Vanguard reports.
Occupants of the building reportedly forced the door open, only to discover Ofili thrusting a kitchen knife into Okon’s neck.
Unfortunately, the victim, who was rushed to the General Hospital on Lagos Island, was confirmed dead after she had lost so much blood.
One of the tenants of the building, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said:
“The landlord’s daughter was the one that heard the scream. She peeped through the window and saw a masked person stabbing a lady. She rushed and called her father, who alerted other tenants that forced the door open, only to discover that the masked person was Anita Ofili. The whole room was filled with blood. We discovered that the victim was still breathing. We had to tie Ofili’s legs and hands to prevent her from escaping. Before the arrival of the Police, Ofili did not show any sign of remorse. She said she would explain to the Police what happened. She claimed the lady in question was her friend and that her action was in revenge for what her friend did to her.”
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said;
“At 5.50p.m., on March 26, a resident of Greenville Estate came to the station to report that he heard someone screaming from the room of one Annie Ofili, that himself and other tenants quickly rushed to the room, forced the door opened only to meet Annie on top of Glory Okon, who came to visit her.
Upon the information, a team of detectives moved to the scene. The suspect was arrested, the knife recovered, while the corpse was deposited at the Mainland General Hospital mortuary, Yaba, for autopsy and preservation. The suspect has been transferred to the SCIID, Yaba, for discreet investigation.”
