Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has taken down posters of his upcoming music festival from his Instagram page, following the death of his son, Ifeanyi.

The singer had, before the tragic incident, been promoting the music festival tagged “A.W.A.Y. (Are We African Yet?)” on his social media pages. The festival, which the singer said is to promote and foster cultural exportation and collaboration between Africa and the rest of the world, is slated to hold on November 18, 2022, in Atlanta.

However, following the tragic demise of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi, the DMW boss, who has been off social media since the incident, has deleted the event posters that were previously pinned to his page.

He has also deleted his Instagram highlights with international sports brand PUMA, as well as his AWAY festival highlights.

This comes after the Lagos State Police Command revealed that the autopsy conducted on the corpse of singer Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, confirmed that the 3-year-old died as a result of drowning.

The state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this disclosure in a chat with newsmen.

Hundeyin also revealed that the two suspects arrested in connection with the incident are still in custody.

“The two suspects are still with us. Autopsy has been concluded. The autopsy confirmed that he (Ifeanyi) died by drowning,” he said.

Ifeanyi Adeleke died on Monday, October 31 after he drowned in a swimming pool in his father’s mansion in Banana Island, Lagos state.

A Kenyan woman, Linet Omusula, who works in Saudi Arabia as a housekeeper, has bought two land parcels and built houses for rent.

The young woman achieved this after working in the Middle East for ten years. Despite its hardships, she claims that this experience has given her life purpose.

According to Omusula, she bought the two pieces of land and started building rentals on one of them in 2020.

“I started with six rooms, the ones painted green and orange, which I built in 2020. Then the other one I started last year in June and completed this year September”, she told TUKO.co.ke.

She said she last visited home in 2017 and plans to return after she finally builds her own home.

“I hear people say that the money from Saudi is ‘cursed’ but I really disagree with that statement. With prayers, commitment and discipline one can achieve. Saudi has made a proud person. It has removed me from grass to grace,” Omusala said.

Though the income from her Saudi job has helped her acquire assets, Omusala admitted the job has not been without difficulties.

“I work in a family of 10, and the challenges are too much, but I thank God because he has helped me overcome them. The house is actually big, and I clean it, cook, iron and do many other house chores. Sometimes, I am insulted but I ignore because I know I have a bigger goal,” she said.

Celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani, has reacted after she was dragged by Nigerians on social media over an error on BBNaija star, Hermes’ outfit to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere in Lagos.

The event, which was held in Lagos on Sunday, November 6, was well attended by Nigerian celebrities, who all made statements with their costumes. However, among the glitz and glamour of the day, a spelling error on Hermes’ costume, which was styled by self-styled king of fashion, Toyin Lawani, didn’t go unnoticed.

In an effort to honor Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 after a four-year battle with cancer, Hermes had the late actor’s face and name emblazoned on the back of his cape, but the name was misspelled.

“R.I.P. Chad Boswick” was boldly written on the cape instead of Chadwick Boseman.

The mistake sparked a ton of responses from Nigerians on social media, and soon Chadwick Boseman’s incorrect spelling began trending on Twitter.

Hermes’ stylist, Toyin Lawani, received harsh criticism from netizens for overlooking that minor detail.

Tanzanian fisherman who rescued 20 plane crash victims rewarded with a federal job, cash by the President

A Tanzanian fisherman who rescued no fewer than 20 plane crash victims has been rewarded with a federal job by the President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhi, for his heroism.

Recall that on Sunday, November 6th, a Precision Airplane crash landed into Lake Victoria as it was approaching Bukoba airport from the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam where it was supposed to land, killing 17 passengers and two pilots.

The fisherman, identified as Jackson Majaliwa, was one of the first responders who arrived at the scene and broke into the airplane to save the passengers.

Jackson, who spoke with a local news outlet, said he narrowly escaped being killed while trying to save the pilots, captian and first officer who were stuck in the cockpit.

Following his demonstration of bravery, Tanzanian President has in a statement released by Tanzania’s Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, on Monday, November 7, recognized his bravery and ordered the Ministry of Home Affairs to employ Jackson into the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force.

”I order the Interior ministry to recruit Majaliwa into the country’s Firefighting and Rescue Brigade, so that he can receive the required training for him to become fit for the job.

The fisherman should be trained in rescue mission,” the statement reads in part.

He was also reportedly rewarded with 1 million Tanzanian shillings for the role he played in the rescue mission that saved a total of 24 persons, including 22 passengers and 2 cabin crew members.

A cab driver was left devastated and heartbroken after discovering that his girlfriend of three years has gotten married to another woman.

A Twitter user identified as @cassy_collins_ who shared the story online said she was on a trip with the cabbie when he suddenly broke into tears.

Out of concern, she asked why he was crying and he disclosed that his girlfriend who he dropped off at a car park on a Tuesday got married to another man on Saturday.

A young Nigerian man has narrated how he went broke and ran into debt after throwing an extravagant wedding.

The married man, who claimed to be earning millions monthly before the wedding, said things weren’t going as smoothly in the months leading up to the wedding, and since the wedding date had been fixed, he used his business money to fund the ceremony to save face.

He said instead of paying off over N5 million he was owing some people at the time, he was bent on holding a grandiose wedding, believing that all losses would be made up after the wedding.

Sadly, things didn’t work out the way he had hoped and only became worse after the wedding. He was in debt and went broke.

Sharing the photo, @tickin_clocks asked why is daughter is “moving” like comedian, Sabinus and quite interesting, the little girl seemed to have a likeness to the comedian in the picture.

She’s seen rocking a blue shirt and black shorts, quite similar to how the comedian appears in most of his comedy skits.

American singer and rapper, Post Malone officiated a wedding between two of his female fans at a recent show he performed in.

At the show which held over the weekend, two of the rapper’s fans took to the stage where he was waiting for them and started the ceremony.

The ladies stood facing each other, as the rapper demanded everyone’s attention and then he guided them through a few brief matrimonial steps with the crowd cheering in the front row.

After the couple exchanged their “I do’s”, Post gave them the green light for a kiss. Quite oddly, the rapper declared them wedded “in the eyes of space“, but that seemed to work just fine for all parties involved.

Man attacks cleaner who interrupted his intimate moment in a nightclub toilet (video)

A man was captured on camera attacking a cleaner when he was caught in an intimate session with a woman inside a disabled toilet.

Ex-army aircraft mechanic Billy Dean Fallon, 28, was getting down with a woman when the cleaner knocked on the toilet door and so he rushed out of the cubicle to beat up the cleaner.

Fallon admitted assault occasioning bodily harm at Southport Magistrates Court in Queensland, Australia today, Monday, November 7, and was ordered to pay the victim $1,500.

The horrific incident occurred at Nightjar nightclub in Burleigh Heads in January this year.

CCTV played at the court shows the 28-year-old clubgoer rushing out of the disabled toilet cubicle without a shirt and throwing a flurry of punches at the cleaner, who had been knocking on the door for about three minutes.

A woman walked out from the cubicle holding two drinks while watching Fallon beating the cleaner at the other side of the toilet.

Fallon was pulled away by a security guard, who came in with other witnesses, before he reported the incident to the police.

Defending, lawyer Angus Edwards said Fallon was in the cubicle becoming intimate with his partner, adding: “They were in the midst of becoming intimate when someone started banging on the door.

“He acted impulsively, he acted protectively and he thought he was protecting himself and his partner.”

Magistrate Michelle Dooley said the attack on the cleaner was uncalled for as he was simply doing his job.

“This individual was engaged in his normal employment, was clearly unaffected by alcohol and just going about his normal duties as part of his job,” she continued.

Fallon was sentenced to 12 months in jail but was given immediate parole. He was ordered to pay the cleaner $1500 in compensation.

Kano TikTok skit makers will receive 40 lashes in public, sweep court premises and wash toilets for defaming Governor Ganduje

The Kano State Magistrate Court presided over by Aminu Muhammad Gabari on Monday, November 7, 2022, ordered 40 lashes in public be administered on two skit makers, Mubarak Isa Muhammad (Uniquepikin) and Nazifi Muhammad Bala for defaming the character of the state’s Governor on their Tiktok accounts.

The court as well, ordered the duo to sweep and wash the toilets of Nomansland Magistrates Court premises for 30 days.

“They will receive 20 lashes each, to be administered in the public. They should also sweep and wash the toilets of Justice Aloma Mukthar Court Complex in No-man’s-land,” the judge ruled.

The convicts had pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of defamation and inciting public disturbance slammed against them.

The First Information Report indicated that both TikTokers posted on their Tiktok account that Ganduje does not see a land without selling it and he sleep a lot.

Based on that, the prosecutor, Barrister Wada Ahmad Wada and Principal State Counsel, Kano State Ministry of Justice applied for a summary trial against the duo.

When the case resumed on Monday November 7, for judgement, Magistrate Gabari ordered the convicts to pay a fine of N10,000 each for defaming the character of Kano State Governor.

Magistrate Gabari also ordered them to pay another fine of N10,000 each for inciting public disturbance. He then similarly administered non-custodial terms against the convicts.

Consequently, he ordered the convicts to make a video on social media tendering an apology to Ganduje. The skit makers were taken to court after they were captured in a viral TikTok video calling out Ganduje.

In the video, they referred to Ganduje as a “corrupt politician” who sold every available plot of land in the state.

“This is a chapter that is talking about Ganduje. And who is this Ganduje? He is a husband to an influential woman and a father to an Arabian. And he is also from Kano state. The qualities of this Ganduje are as follows: He is a governor that loves to sleep,” they said.

“But he has become a suspect in the eyes of the people of Kano. To say a few of his qualities and talents, whenever he sees a piece of land in Kano he is definitely going to take his share. To explain this further, it is either he makes it available for sale or sells it off completely, but in the end, something questionable must occur.”

The woman who recounted the experience on Twitter said she was wheeled into the hospital this time last year, thinking she had a severe liver problem, only to discover she was 32 weeks pregnant.

According to her, all along she showed no pregnancy symptoms and had no idea she was pregnant until she was told at the hospital that she was 32 weeks & 2 days pregnant.

She noted that she had no reason to suspect and when she was 5 months pregnant, she stumbled on a Twitter thread where women shared how they didn’t know they were pregnant until it had fully developed, and she thought it could never be her, not knowing she was pregnant already.

Recounting the experience, she wrote on Twitter,

“It was around this time, on this same day last year that I was wheeled into the hospital with my family thinking I had a severe liver problem, only to be told I was 32weeks & 2 days pregnant.

What’s worse? I stumbled on a thread of women telling similar stories like this around when I was 5 months & I said it could never be me. Little did I know it was Infact me. So all of you people quoting this should better check yourselves & be very much aware because ICIBY”.

A Nigerian woman identified as Debbie has shared the sad tale of how her friend’s brother married a swindler.

She claimed that after getting married earlier this year, the couple made plans to travel abroad.

To pay for their relocation, the man sold most of his properties but kept the money in her account. They agreed that the woman would fly to the United Kingdom first, followed by the husband.

Unfortunately, when she arrived in the UK, the woman, who obviously had other intentions, filed for divorce from her husband.

The man was confused by what she had done, so he informed his wife’s mother, who supported her daughter, and stated that she would not have approved of their relationship if she had known he was a mechanic.
