A female corps member has lamented bitterly after she wasn’t allowed to stay at the NYSC orientation camp in Lagos because she is married.

The lady, identified as Chidinma Simeon, who tied the knot in January, took to Facebook to reveal that NYSC officials didn’t allow her stay in camp after registration because of her marital status.

Chidinma who seemed to have been looking forward to the experience of camping with her fellow corps members, was met with a huge disappointment and told to return home after registering for the exercise.

Sharing a photo of herself wearing her wedding ring, she wrote, “Lagos camp y me, I was rejected to camp after registration because am married feel like crying. Who even tell me to go and get married. Nobody should tell my hubby I love him so much I don’t want to loose him because of NYSC.”

Some social media users didn’t believe her claims, however other corps members serving in Lagos corroborated her story.

A Nigerian man has sparked outrage on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, after he revealed why he’s in dire need of a wife.

The young man simply identified as Scholar shared a disturbing video of his dirty room with his belongings scattered around, and noted that he needs a wife to help keep it clean.

“I really need a wife,” he captioned the video.

When netzines told him that the state of his room shows that he needs a maid, not a wife, he responded that a wife is the same as a maid.

“Wife is all in one,” he replied.

It rained fire and brimstone on some allegedly wicked bosses in Nigeria on Monday, March 21, after their former employees took to Twitter to call them out for being mean and wicked.

It all started when an article was released about a certain employer, named Ebun Okubanjo, who allegedly disrespects his employees at the slightest opportunity, threatens to beat them up and calls them vulgar names.

The article stirred a huge controversy online and other Twitter users started sharing their horrible work experiences with the hashtag #HorribleBosses.

A particular employer, identified as Daniel Emeka, was called out by different people and accused of firing his employees at the slightest provocation.

One accused him of sacking a staff for not singing ‘happy birthday’, and paying his employee’s salaries late.

While other bosses didn’t respond to the accusations levied against them, Emeka choose to clear the air and shared receipts to defend himself.

The screenshots he shared showed him being nice and understanding to his staff.

Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Dreylo, has taken to social media to call out his gateman.

In a post he shared via his Twitter handle on Monday evening, March 21, Dreylo revealed that the gateman who has the key to his apartment enters his room whenever he’s out.

Nollywood actress, Mary Lazarus has said she would gladly collect money from any politician who offers her money to vote for him in the forthcoming 2023 election.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Saga Adeolu, has opened up on his new reality after participating in the reality show and how it has affected his finance.

The fitness enthusiast granted an exclusive interview with Piggyvest where he disclosed that he now pays N5.1 million for house rent as against N200k before the show.

According to him, although he now earns more than he was earning before the show, his expenses has also skyrocketed.

His words,

“I’ve been making 10 times what I was making before I got into the BBN house. But the sad thing is that I’ve been spending 15 times what I was spending before I got in.

Let me start with the obvious one. Clothes. You will pay a stylist ₦100,000 to style you and you still give them the clothes back. I’m telling you. When people tell me, “Come for my event, come for my event”, it’s not that easy. I have to buy clothes.

The next is accommodation. I used to live in a three bedroom house. The rent was ₦600,000, and I was sharing the apartment with my guys. So that was ₦200,000. Right now, I am paying ₦5.1m.

That’s what makes some housemates depr#ssed. It’s a life-changing event. It changes your reality drastically. So I am paying that and I’ve had to furnish the house. It’s expensive, but it’s not like I can still be living in my father’s house at this age. I can’t fly economy anymore — although I am not the one paying for it. Food is more expensive, too. I can’t eat my Iya Basira and my roadside bole.

But this thing called clothes eh! You return everything back because if you have to buy it, you spend more. The real deal breaker is that once I wear something and take a photo for Instagram, I can’t wear them again anytime soon.

Another thing that takes a lot of money is Airbnb and hotels. When you leave the house, you move into one of those. Every housemate is guilty of this one. Because you are moving around so much—today, you are in Warri; tomorrow, you are in Abuja—you can’t find the time to look for a house.

Sometimes you find a good place but before you pay, someone else has taken it. It got to a point where I paid for a place before I took a good look at it. I had to arrest the guy before I got my money back. That was on Christmas Day!

When I finally got a place and brought my clothes together, I felt like I should open a boutique!”

The 30BG boss, who moved to his Banana Island mansion in January 2022, furnished his house with the television sets from Bang and Olufsen.

According to Davido’s personal logistics manager, each set costs N17 million, for a total spending of N68 million on four TV sets.

Uzaifa Halilu Modachi, one of the 40 students evacuated from Ukraine to Nigeria as a result of the country’s ongoing war with Russia, has died.

Modachi who returned to Nigeria two weeks ago was said to have been preparing for his final-year medical examination at the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University in Ukraine before the war with Russia began.

The bereaved father, Habibu Modachi, who is a serving member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, said the deceased has since been buried in Sokoto state. He also added that his late son was in Ukraine for three years without returning home for vacation.

“Alhamdu Lilah, God gives and take away life, and that’s how he wanted it to happen, there is no doubt about it.

Had it been he died in Ukraine so many things would be said about him, that he was either killed by the Russian bombardment or had an accident or even accidentally shot and killed by the Ukrainian Army.

Police arrest mother and son for sexual exploitation of a 15-year-old girin Ekiti

Operatives of the Ekiti State Police command have Ekarrested a mother and son for allegedly abducting and sexually exploiting a 15-year-old girl.

The suspects identified as Mrs Ademiloye Felicia and her son, Adewumi, were arrested on March 15, 2022, three years after they allegedly abducted the minor.

According to a statement from the command’s spokesperson, ASP Abutu Sunday, the victim went missing sometime in March, 2019, and all efforts made by the Police and her family members to know her whereabout proved abortive.

The Statement reads in part; “However, on 15/3/2022, that is about three three years later, the victim’s mother received a credible information about her daughter’s whereabout. She then alerted the police who then swung into action and traced the missing girl to the house of one Mrs Ademiloye Felicia.

The victim was immediately rescued while Mrs Ademiloye Felicia and her son, Adewumi Ademiloye were subsequently arrested for further investigation.

Investigation revealed that the victim was lured by Adewumi Ademiloye into his mother’s house on that fateful day and dragged.

The victim revealed that after consuming the dr#gs given to her by Adewumi Ademiloye, she could not remember to go back home. She stated that she is now a dr#g addict due to the amount of drugs consumed within this period of three years.

The victim disclosed that Adewumi Ademiloye had series of sexual intercourse with her and has given her to different men on many occasions each time he does not have money. These men had sex with her and paid Adewumi Ademiloye an amount ranging from N10,000) to N20,000.

Further investigation revealed that the victim is about 8months pregnant but has not been registered in any Heath Care Center or visited any hospital for Antenatal Care.

During interrogation, Adewumi Ademiloye confessed to the commission of the crime and will be charged to court alongside his mother for conspiracy to commit abduction, rape and child exploitation.”

Lagos state announces diversion of traffic ahead of President Buhari’s visit today

He explained that the expected movement of VIPs and traffic management of the event called for the plan for the alternative routes.

The Commissioner added that motorists can go through the Third Mainland Bridge inwards Gbagada to connect Ikorodu/Maryland to reach the Airports as an alternate route.

Oladeinde assured that officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority would be stationed along the alternative routes to help motorists navigate their movement to ensure the free flow of traffic.

The Commissioner added that motorists can go through the Third Mainland Bridge inwards Gbagada to connect Ikorodu/Maryland to reach the Airports as an alternate route.

Taking to Twitter, @deshola55 said she told the married man’s wife about her husband’s persistent advances at her and she was shocked by her response.

Reality TV star, Uriel Oputa has taken to social media to address men who are quick to approach ladies sitting alone at a restaurant or bar.

The fitness enthusiast and chef in a post shared on her Instastory, said she finds it annoying because sometimes ladies just want to have time alone, and not have men breathing down their necks.

Nigerian businesswoman, Sandra Iheuwa, has replied to a troll who left an unflattering comment about her pregnancy.

Sandra, who is heavily pregnant and expecting her first child with her estranged husband, Steve Thompson, shared a video of herself flaunting her baby bump when the troll left a nasty comment in the comment.

The troll stated that Sandra is always pregnant. Recall that this would be her fourth child, as she already has two children with her ex-husband and one with talent manager, Ubi Franklin.

“This lady is always pregnant. Mother of all nations.” The troll wrote.

In response, Sandra slammed the follower, telling her to try getting pregnant if it’s so easy to do so.

“How am I always pregnant if you may know my first child is 13 years old, second is 7yrs old and third child is 3 yrs old, so how am I always pregnant? Y ‘all will read rubbish and run with it…and if it’s easy to be pregnant try it. Take your negativity off my page”.

A Nigerian lady identified as Deshola on Twitter has shared her encounter with the wife of a man who’s wooing her.

According to Deshola, a married man has been making advances on her, and luckily she knows his wife, so she decided to tell her about it.

However, on telling the wife, she simply dismissed her off by telling her, ‘men will be men’.

The lady noted that the wife’s response left her so embarrassed that she walked away in shame.

Recounting the incident, Deshola tweeted,

“This married man has been pestering me for a while now and I decided to tell his wife yesterday. She said ‘men will be men’. Never knew it was possible to make a walk of shame without having sxx with someone”.

In other news, a Nigerian man identified as Pamilerin Coker has taken to Micro-blogging website, Twitter to send an “SOS” to anybody who cared to listen that HIV/AIDS is on the rise in the Lekki/Ajah or Island axis of Lagos State.
