Big Brother Naija star and actor, Pere Egbi, has raised concern over the rising cases of paternity fraud in Nigeria.

Taking to his Insta-stories on Friday, March 25, the reality star stated that some men are getting played by their women and fathering kids that are not theirs.

He advised men to wise up as some women are just out to ruin some men.

In his words,

“Some men out here getting played, fathering kids who they even know aren’t theirs. Wise up! Some women are out here to just ruin some men”.

A while ago, a Nigerian man took to social media to publicly announce that he is not the biological father of his three children.

In a post shared on his Instastory, the music producer identified simply as Champagne beatz, disclosed that he was beyond shocked to discover that his children are not biologically his.

Although he didn’t disclose if he conducted a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of his children, the distraught man said his partner, whom he identified as Yemi Adebowale, was having affairs with different men while they were together. Read here.

A 9-year-old boy and his 11-month-old sibling has allegedly been chased out of the house by their aunt over witchcraft allegation in Congo.

According to Facebook user, Ivuoma Tom, the homeless children lost their father due to “lack of care and money”, while their mother died at childbirth.

They were reportedly living with their auntie before she drove them out and accused them of being the witches derailing her life and business.

Sharing a photo of the orphans, Ivuoma wrote,

“Auntie chases 9 year old boy and his 11 month old little brother from her house, calls them witches

They have been living on the street for 2 months now and they are feeding with the help of generous people they find on the street. But they don’t have a fixed roof to sleep on, it’s on the walking table that they sleep with their brother (baby). That bag they hold in their hands is their suitcase where they put their clothes 😢😢

ISAAC told me: THAT his father was a taxi driver he died due to lack of care and money. His mother died from Cesarean while giving birth to his little brother.”

While the majority of his family are in Goma the only aunt is here in Kinshasa unfortunately she ended up chasing us without a reason accusing us of witches, that is we are the ones blocking her house and business. Without letting go of his little brother despite the suffering ISAAC says: “If it is to die of hunger together with my little brother yes I will, but I will never abandon him” -THIS IS THE WORD THAT TOUCHED ME SO MUCH.”

A newly graduated young lady was filled with so much joy after graduating with a first-class degree even though in course of her program which was slated for four years, she had two extra years.

The young lady, identified on Twitter as @thefunkeoguns, took to the social networking platform to share her story where she revealed that she had to repeat 100 and 400 levels of her degrees studies.

An elated Funke in her post, shared that delay is never enough reason for failure, rather enough time to triumph with flying colors.

Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo, has declared that if Nigeria defeats Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers match, he will walk from Ghana to Lagos barefoot.

John Dumelo stated this in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Friday March 25.

The senator, who has much confidence in the Ghanaian football team, noted that there’s no way Nigeria will win the match.

Some corps members at the NYSC orientation camp in Gombe have alleged that a colleague was decamped for wearing khaki skirts.

Recall that the lady caused a stir on social media after photos and videos of her rocking a flowing white skirt and khaki skirt, as opposed to the prescribed white shorts and khaki trousers, surfaced online.

In the video the lady was seen explaining to her colleagues why she wouldn’t rock the standard NYSC, of a Khaki trouser because it contradicts her believe.

Well, some corps members at the camp have now alleged that the lady was decamped after she refused to change to Khaki trousers following instructions from authorities.

In other news, the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has reacted to a trending video of some corps members dancing erotically at an orientation camp.

In the viral video, the corps members were demonstrating different sex styles using each other as a dummy.

A female corper is seen lying on a table with her legs apart, while a male corper was hitting his crotch against hers in a sensual matter.

Another part of the video shows another female corper bending over a table while a male corp member grinded his groin region against her buttocks.

The video has stirred different reactions on social media as netizens criticized NYSC for permitting such acts.

Veteran Nollywood actor, John Ikechukwu Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, has from his hospital bed addressed rumors circulating about his health.

The comic actor, who is on admission at a kidney centre in Abuja, said reports that he is in a critical condition and not walking are false.

Mr. Ibu noted that he’s recuperating and not seeking financial help from anyone. He also informed the public that his Instagram page and bank account have been taken over by hackers who are trying to take advantage of his ill health and asking for donations from people to swindle.

“I no dey anywhere to beg people for money, I’m not as critical as they are talking now…I can walk now, just that I cannot run, please.” He said in part.

“His Instagram account has been hacked and anybody using that account to collect money, you people should stop it, its not good. Any good person or well wishers that wants to help him should come to the hospital”. His wife, Stella Maris added.

Social media went agog recently after a South African pastor, Proff Ex posted a video accusing a Nigerian clergyman, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, founder of Christ Mercy Land Church in a case of missing child.

A woman, Ruth Matthew had in 2019 claimed her child went missing at the Mercy City belonging to Prophet Fufeyin.
She had reported the case to the Nigerian Police and later brought it up at the Brekete Human Rights radio in Abuja, where the woman and a representative of the Police appeared over the matter.

The Police at the live programme had claimed that the woman’s story was “found inconsistent with the truth,” adding that the many version of the information provided by the woman did not add up.

Ruth Matthew had claimed that she went to church on the fateful day with four of her children and couldn’t eventually see one of the kids.

In her initial story at the station, the woman said while the child was left in custody of the children church with security personnel and guardians, she returned to discover that her child was missing and that she was ordered out of the church when she was making a case for the missing child.

While she had provided this narrative to the Police and her earlier appearance at the radio station. During the live program, Police at the station later revealed that she reported going to the church with five of her children, including an 18-year-old girl, not four. The woman immediately adopted that version claiming she made a mistake earlier.

She told audiences at the live programme that her 18-year-old child, who was with the missing child had said that a woman came picking the child up in a Keke Napep outside the church premises, not in the church where she sent them on an errands.

A report by the Police had since 2019 resolved the matter absolving the church of her claims only for Proff Ex to reopen the matter claiming that cases of missing children have been regular at the church.

While a Nigerian comedian, Eyagbeshare had shared the video of Proff Ex on the missing case and the timeline video of the case at the Brekete family as well as the Police report, most Nigerian took to the internet to express their take over the matter.

A lady, with Facebook name, Eke Bigland decried the extent to which some pastors are going to bring their colleague down.

Another person, Urete Eloho said: “Please stop wasting your time on this guy. Surely they must gather, you are only making him more famous let’s go on more important matter.”

Folomena Shilula noted that Proff Ex needed prayers, adding a pastor who is consistently blackmail others require more of prayer than social media comments.

On his own comment, Opia Peter claimed that Ruth Mathew may have seen her child.

Lady allegedly gang-raped by her boyfriend and her friend in Ogun

Operatives of the Ogun State police command have arrested two men for allegedly gang-raping a 22-year old girl (name withheld) in the Eleweran area of Abeokuta.

It was gathered the suspects, identified as Seun Orokunle, 38, and Sarumi Sodiq, 28, gang-raped the victim, who happened to be the girlfriend of one of them.

According to the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspects were arrested in response to a complaint lodged at the public complaint bureau in Eleweran Abeokuta by the victim, who reported that she went to the house of Seun Orokunle, who happened to be her boyfriend.

“On getting there, she went to the bathroom to take her bath and unknown to her that the said Seun Orokunle had invited her friend Sarumi Sodiq who came straight to meet her in the bathroom, dragged her out and the two of them took their turns to have sex with her after beating her thoroughly.”

After satisfying themselves, Seun Orokunle took her clothes and dipped it in a bucket of water in order to prevent her from leaving the house immediately. She stated further that the duo, who claimed to be cultists threatened to kill her if she dare report them to anyone.” Oyeyemi said

The police spokesperson added that upon receiving the report, the officer in charge, the public complain bureau, DSP Badmus Opeyemi, detailed his men to go after the two suspects and bring them to book. They were eventually traced to Aregbe area of Abeokuta where the two of them were apprehended.

Oyeyemi added that the men have both confessed to the commission of the crime.

He said the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.

In April 2021, Nigerian Singer, Victony survived what could have been a ghastly car crash and he was hospitalized for weeks after he underwent a major surgery.

Soldier allegedly ‘under influence of drugs’ opens fire on civilians in Borno, kill three

A soldier with the Nigerian army’s operation Hadin Kai in Borno state killed three civilians on Wednesday, March 23.

According to The Cable, the soldier said to have been under the influence of “psychotropic substances” without any provocation, opened fire on the residents of Mafa town in Mafa Local Government Area of the state.

“The lifeless bodies of three persons were laying down flat at Mafa presently while many people sustained gunshot wounds,” a witness said.

About 13 civilians are said to be currently receiving treatment following the gunshot injuries.

It was learnt that the Soldier has already been disarmed and arrested by the military authorities.

A relative to one of the deceased took to Facebook to share the lifeless body of the victim and wrote;

My elder brother was fired by the military man in Mafa local governement.

He was easy going, peaceful and law abiding.

Operatives of the Adamawa state police command on Thursday, March 24 arrested a suspected drug dealer and a fake NDLEA officer in the state.

A statement released by DSP Suleiman Nguroje, says the men identified as Kalbiru Muhammed, 41, and Musa Abubakar, 29, were arrested while on their way to deliver the hard drugs found on them to their target in Yola.

The suspect concealed the drugs in a led TV carton and a sound system (speaker) box to beat security checks and escape arrest.

The DSP added that the arrested drug dealer and his collaborators will be properly investigated and prosecuted accordingly.

In other news, the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has sent one Michael Jackson to three months in prison for internet fr@ud.

According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Jackson who was arrested on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, posed as Ella Ellywood, a transgender woman, to scam victims of millions of Naira.

“The suspect, who also claimed to be a Disc Jockey, had in his possession fetish items, which he claimed was “for grace and success,” the commission had said in a statement.

A Nigerian businessman has shared his concerns after his beneficiary was charged N500,000 as rent for a room and parlor apartment in Lagos.

@Morris_monye took to Twitter to make this disclosure as he called on the Lagos state Government to regulate the cost of rent in the metropolitan city.

He tweeted,

“Someone called that she saw accommodation in Mushin for a single bed with parlor. I tell her no problem that I will foot the bill for her. As an afterthought, I ask her how much she said rent is 500k.

Ok I send my guy there to meet the landlord directly and it’s indeed 500k

Govt should do something about the high cost of rents in Lagos. The landlord even demanded 2yrs rent.”

He wrote,

“As an “AS” genotyped individual, after having many failed relationships, I finally met this new babe 2 months ago, we got talking, she happens to be everything I want in my woman but she is AS too, which she is aware of. I am going to take this leap of faith and settle down

Nigerian rapper, Erigga, has revealed the devastating consequences of ending internet fraud, popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo in Nigeria.

Erigga in a post shared via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, March 24 opined that if Yahoo was taken down in its entirety, many marriages will end.

According to him, exactly 77.2 percent of all marriages in the country would be affected.

“If them stop yahoo today 77.2% of marriages go end 🎤🤐…”, he tweeted.

In other news, Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Erhiga Agarivbie, otherwise known as Erigga, has taken to social media to advise men looking for good girls to go into a relationship with.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, on Thursday, January 13th, Erigga noted that men should not expect to find a woman that is a saint or perfect.

According to him, no woman is a saint so men should learn to accept their women exactly the way they are.
