The impending war between Russia and Ukraine is now in full swing and stranded Nigerians in Ukriane have said they feel left alone by the Federal government as they do not know what to do.
Speaking to CNN Africa, Anjola-Oluwa Ero-Phillips, a Nigerian medical student in Ukraine, said he and around 70 other Nigerian students are stranded with no way to legally leave Lviv in the west of the country, close to the border with Poland.
In his words ;
“There have not been explosions here but earlier in the day we heard the siren tests. Flights are cancelled and it’s hard to get any taxis or Uber. Everybody is at the ATM trying to withdraw cash but banks are not opening. Money is running out at the ATM and you can’t do app transactions anymore.
Based on what I have heard from the Indian citizens, their government is trying to get free transit for them to the Polish border,”
”No one has any idea what to do. We have been reaching out to the Nigerian embassy since last month”

In a statement released by the Nigerian Embassy in Kiev, Nigerians in Ukraine have been urged to remain calm and take responsibility for their own safety.
Reacting to the statement, the thespian noted that this why the rest of the world see Nigeria as a joke.

Adelaja, who presides over a large church in Ukraine, disclosed that he could hear bombs and loud sounds of shells from his home in Kiev. He also said telephone lines has been cut off but they still have access to the internet.
He has called on Nigerians to pray for peace amongst the nations because they are under full-scale attack.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has confirmed the arrest of popular Nigerian singers, Zinoleesky and Mohbad.
It was earlier reported that Marlian Music signees and three others were arrested during a midnight raid on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Confirming the arrest, NDLEA Spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said the singers were in possession of drugs, cannabis and molly.
DailyTrust quoted him as saying,
“Yes, they have been arrested because we had reliable information that they were in possession of drugs. We moved in on them and recovered dr#gs. That is why five of them were arrested; three males and two females. When their house was searched we found in their possession molly and cannabis. The investigation is still ongoing but we have to trace where they are getting these substances from.”

A group of suspected armed robbers have sparked mixed reactions online after they took pictures with a phone they allegedly stole in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The alleged victim, identified simply as Adewunmi, took to her social media page to reveal that the suspected robbers who were armed with a gun robbed her and her friends on Sunday, October 3rd.
Humorously, the alleged thieves snapped pictures with the phone few days after the robbery. Since the pictures were taken on Snapchat, they were automatically saved to the cloud and the victim was able to assess them.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, has reacted to the arrest of his colleagues, Zinoleesky and Mohbad, by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

Billionaire businessman, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has taken to social media to reflect on his trip to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, for his convocation years ago.
The chairman of Cubana Group narrated how he and his friends had to jump a night bus from Abuja to Nsukka for the celebration. On the way, he noticed that he had misplaced a pair of school shoes that his uncle had purchased for him, which nearly ruined his day.

Inside the 1414 benz bus, there was zero comfort, especially attachment! We managed to get to Obollo Afor in the morning, where we would now take a bus into Nsukka. Getting to where we contributed money to stay for the entire Convocation, I realised I lost one of the pair of my adored and priceless “schooles” shoes.

The 19-year-old boy, Collins Sambaya, who was nailed to a tree for allegedly stealing a radio last week has pleaded to social media users to stop joking about his ordeal.
Sambaya is currently receiving treatment at the Itando Mission of Hope and Health Care Centre after residents freed him after his hands were nailed to a tree by one Elvis Irime, who accused him of stealing a radio said to be worth Ksh.6,000.
The victim said the incident was very traumatizing and pleaded with Kenyans to stop joking about his ordeal.
“People should stop comparing me to Jesus or the two thieves who were crucified with him on the cross. I’m a victim of torture. In fact, I believe Jesus saved me from the jaws of death,” he added, noting that the incident has transformed him and he now wants to go back to school. I want to become a useful person in the society in future, after all, I went through.” Sambaya told The Standard.
He, however, maintained that he never stole the radio.
“Why would I steal a radio when my grandfather owns one and my uncle has at least three of them?” he said.
Narrating the incident that happened on Friday, February 18, Sambaya’s grandfather said,
“The incident occurred at around 2 pm but I only got wind of the situation at around 5pm. The suspects came to our home and tricked my grandson into following them into their household where they committed the act,” Henry told Citizen Digital.
“My grandson is innocent. A few days ago, the suspects took my grandson to a nearby police station where they reported him for allegedly stealing the said radio. Officers however freed him after establishing that there was no evidence to support the pair’s allegations.”

The officials of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, stormed an apartment where the Marlian music stars were in the middle of the night.
It was alleged that the NDLEA operatives gained entrance into the house by jumping over the fence. Videos from the raid that found their way to the internet showed the officers placing handcuffs on the singers.
Although it is unclear why Zinoleesky and Mohbad were arrested, this comes after the skit maker, De-General, and two others were arrested for being in possession of marijuana.
Recall that in January, Nigerian skit maker, Joshua Sunday known better as De General was found guilty of drug trafficking: Justice Daniel Osiagor of a Federal High Court in Lagos ruled.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Kontongs Bello, in a statement said, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the rapist specializes in using N100 to N200 to lure his unsuspecting victims who are children and teenagers between the ages of 10 to 15 years.
He have an unnatural carnal knowledge of them through their anus by applying a bleaching cream on both his manhood and the victims anus.
He however met his waterloo as one of his victim, a 13-year-old boy, fell ill with swollen feet, face and pus all over his body. Medical examination revealed that his liver and kidney is damaged as a result of a certain chemical contained in bleaching creams.
Upon further enquiry by the victim parents, he confessed that a certain man in the area forcibly had carnal knowledge of him, it was in that process that his abuser applied cream in his anus.
The suspect confessed to have defiled nine boys in the area, six of which have already been identified — their parents also made formal complaint to the Commissioner of Police to that effect — while the remaining three are yet to be identified.”

Still in PH, one of the fans’ favorites, Jared Lee Jarrell is known to many as Bboy Midnight, defeated Lil Monster in the PH finals in a battle many termed “the battle of David Vs Goliath”.

In Kaduna, 2014 BOTY Nigeria winner, Bboy Trixx who defeated his younger brother in the semis, competed against Bboy Lym, and as always, the Champ being the Champ, Trixx came out tops and will fly Kaduna’s as well as his family flag at the finals in Lagos; definitely, his brother would be proud of him. The Kaduna Locking finals had Spinoza go up against Sammy with Spinoza winning the duel effortlessly and so booked a spot in Lagos for the semi-final and finals.
4. Charming and charismatic, 21 years old, Bboy Prym made it to the Enugu regional Bboy finals but couldn’t secure the automatic ticket to the finals after losing to SixGod. It was rather sad to see one of the favorite dancers in this particular season lose out at an automatic final spot. On the other hand, Noel defeated Binary in the Locking finals to advance to the finals in Lagos.
5. After defeating giant slayer, Bboy Famous in the Lagos final, attention needs to be paid to Lil Dan who is certainly looking like the real deal. Now we know why Lil Dan was eager to show us his dance medals and we must confess, he actually has a lot of them. Locking Mike defeated Benedict in the regional Locking finals in Lagos to join the other 4 contestants,
6. There is a piece of good news and this is the fact that the audience has the opportunity to become part of the voting public and bring back their favorite contestants as Wildcards.
