Young Nigerians on TikTok have been bumping to an Emo-fused Trap record titled Live Forever, making diversely-directed videos that is causing the song to bostler in the chart rankings.
Kayode or Kay Kay, the voice behind Live Forever has been a quiet figure with his music up until now that he’s now getting noteworthy recognition.
The extraordinary thing about Kay Kay is that he isn’t specifically affiliated with any major record label or distributor and he seems to have hacked the music industry already — done independently.
The 23-year-old has a handful of songs and he dropped a very impressive Extended play in 2020 titled ‘Playtime is Over’.

A Canada-based Nigerian businesswoman, Dr. Adeola Olubamiji, has shared what she did when she had to choose between her love life and a fully funded PhD scholarship in Canada.
In a lengthy Twitter thread, Adeola narrated how she met the young man who was madly in love with her and later proposed to her in Finland. However, shortly before the proposal, she got a scholarship to do her PhD in Canada, meaning she would relocate and leave him behind.
She noted that she accepted his proposal, because she knew that turning him down would have left him devastated. After relocating, she found it difficult to manage the relationship and deal with stress from her studies, so she had to let the man go and hold on to the hope that she’d meet another.
Narrating how she managed the dilemma, she wrote,
“One of the hardest decision I have had to make is to turn down a LOVE that came at the WRONG TIME. I met a guy back in Finland. We were both students by day and cleaners by night. But he was madly in love with me. You could tell him anything about me and he would still love me.
Suddenly, I got a PhD admission and full funding in Canada! And it became clear that I was going to move to Canada and leave him behind. Guess what? He proposed! Chei! What was I supposed to do when I know he could kill himself if I said no. Well, I said yes.
But made it clear, I am going to Canada and going alone! If you want me, get yourself to Canada by school or any other method Smiling face with open mouth. I am not staying back to marry and have kids while we would both be cleaners and be madly poor and madly in love.
I left for Canada. With time difference and PhD student stress, the relationship became a burden. I am realistic, so I let this good man go! Told myself there will be other good men in the future. For now, let me face making myself a real, successful and good woman.
A few years into my PhD program, people starting telling me that no one will marry me with a PhD. And when I tried to date, the guy was told by his friends and family that I will be too smart for him. I cried many nights and I was legit afraid. I was full of regrets.

Veteran Nigerian singer, Dbanj, has averred that music alone is not enough to sustain the luxurious lifestyle that Nigerian musicians love to live.
The koko master stated this in a recent interview with PremiumTimes. He noted that international stars like JayZ, Kanye West, and others have other businesses that serve as other sources of income for them to afford to live luxurious lives.
In his words,
“It’s my sixth year in marriage, and ever since then, I’ve looked for different platforms that would keep my fame and family intact. So if you were to Google Jay Z or the wealthiest musicians in the world, you would see that only 10 per cent of their wealth is probably from music.”
When asked if music is secondary for him, he said,
“No. I’m just trying to say that if you look at Kanye as a billionaire, Jay Z is a billionaire, and maybe he got like 100 million from music. The rest are from business and that is what Nigeria needs.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has added a new member to their clan as on Sunday afternoon, Kylie Jenner shared the first glimpse of her second child, a baby boy.
The cosmetologist however didn’t disclose the name of her newborn son — Kylie, 24, shared a sweet black and white snap on her page on Instagram on Sunday with the caption: “2/2/22”.
The photo appears to be Kylie and Travis’ four-year-old daughter Stormi clasping her new little brother’s wrist in an adorable sign of affection. She also included a blue heart emoji in the post with fans and famous folks flocked to the comments section to send congratulatory messages.

A lady identified as Queen Lolo has taken to social media to narrate how a friend defrauded her by using her BVN and account number to obtain a loan from a microfinance bank under the guise of COVID-19 money.

Last year march 2021, a very good friend came to my house and told me that federal government is given out covid 19 funds to people I asked her how much she said #400.000k then i asked her is it a loan? She said NO. Then I said how can that be just like that,she showed me the money in her account that she has collected and all her family members and some friends have collected theirs too.
Then she said that she needed my account number and bvn, I didn’t buy the idea but she convinced me being my friend.
Fast forward to July 2021 I got an alert of #379, 200.00. Imediately there was alot calls coming into my phone that the money have entered I said yes not the amount they told which is #400,000k, then my friend told me that bank collected #20800k.
She also told me to send #130,000k to the agent that worked out the money then I asked her again I hope this is not a loan, she said NO that she can’t deceive me. I became afraid and sent only #120,000k, my friend called me and told to sent the remaining#10,000k which I did and I also give my friend #5000k. The only money I eat out of it #245,200.00 which am ready to pay back.
Three days ago I got a message from NIRSAL microfinance bank to start repayment on the loan I took .. hmmm I become surprised because I never heard about NIRSAL LOAN and It was when I researched about the bank that I found out I was lied to and also scammed. Please what do I do in this situation ..not only me we are many they collected bvn and accts.

“Just chop ur L in peace” – Uti Nwachukwu shades Kanye West over his marital woes
Reality TV star, Uti Nwachukwu has seemingly thrown a shade at American rapper, Kanye West, following his recent drama with his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian.
Kanye had taken to social media to complain after his daughter, North West, was allowed to create a TikTok account without his consent.
However, Kim K criticized him for constantly attacking her on social media, instead of handling their marital issues privately. She also claimed that she is the main provider for their kids and is doing her best to raise them well.
Her claims of being the main provider didn’t sit well with Kanye West and he slammed her over it, while laying other allegations against her. Read here.
In an apparent reaction to this, Uti Nwachukwu took to Twitter to rant about marriage and divorce. According to him, if one is not sure about being with someone for the rest of their lives, they should sign prenuptial agreement before marriage and if possible, have their own kids via surrogacy or sperm bank.
He also advised Kanye West to take his loss in peace instead of always throwing shades online.

We only asked if she had doctor’s prescription – Ogun police command denies arresting MAPOLY student
The Police in Ogun State have denied arresting a student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Olanipekun Oladayo Irenimofe, for buying a pregnancy test kit and contraceptive.
Recall that Irenimofe’s sister had taken to social media to raise alarm after she was “arrested”.
She later revealed that her sister had been released, but that policemen went searching for her again. She later tweeted that police went to arrest the pharmacist who sold the products to her sister.
“Please help oooo, she just told me they’ve gone to arrest the pharmacist that sold them to her.”
However, the state police command PRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police were doing their duties by questioning her on whether she had a doctor’s prescription or not.
“The command has released her since morning. She was questioned if she has a doctor’s prescription.” he said

He showed up to the location with a guitarist and a cake to propose to her, however, the proposal didn’t turn out as he planned.

Popular veteran singer, Onyeka Onwenu, has opened up on her failed marriage and how she single-handedly raised her children.
The 70-year-old entertainer who got married to a Yoruba Muslim man in 1984, shared her experience during an interview with media personality, Kikelomo Atanda-Owo.
According to the mum-of-two, she didn’t want to divorce her husband but if she didn’t end their marriage at the time she did, it would have killed her.
Her words:
“I went through it, it was difficult because I really didn’t want my marriage to end but I couldn’t take it anymore, it would have killed me. I always say that that is the truth and it was not good for the children to live in that kind of environment where the mother is depressed, the mother is carrying the weight of the whole family.
“I raised my children from kindergarten to master’s degree. My husband didn’t pay school fees for one day, didn’t buy clothes, didn’t pay for holidays, didn’t give me housekeeping money but he was a nice and kind and generous man and basically, there was control where if you didn’t do the things he wanted, ‘well I’m not going to help you, I’m not going to give you money and I would like to say this to Nigerians, any man who has children, has a family and decides not to take care of them, you’ll have to answer to God.”
