Nigerian Lawmaker, Akin Alabi has condemned people who threatened Super Eagles players after they crashed out of the AFCON tournament.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered a shocking defeat to Tunisia in the round-of-16 and crashed out of the tournament last Sunday, January 23.
Angry Nigerians then stormed the pages of the players, cursing and threatening them over the loss.
The NairaBet Boss took to his Twitter page to vehemently condemn the online attack on the footballers and wished that the bullies can be arrested and jailed.
He wrote ;
You can criticize the players and manager. That’s fine. But the insults and threats are disgraceful. The boys played their hearts out. I wish we can trace those that threatened the players so we can arrest and jail them.
The funniest thing is only a few people expected the Eagles to do well. But a win against Egypt and 9 points in the group stage elevated hopes. Disappointment is a function of expectations.
Nollywood Actress, Juliana Olayode has fired back at Pastor Timilehin Adigun, and she accused him sexually molesting and manipulating her sister.
Recall that Juliana had called out Pastor Adigun as she asked him to return her passwords and leave her be. She said Pastor held back her passwords to her social media assets and even went as far as unpublishing her Facebook page.

Nollywood Actress, Juliana Olayode on Monday, 25th January 2022, called out her estranged ‘spiritual father’, Pastor Timilehin Adigun on social media.
Juliana accused Timi Adigun of controlling her passwords and using them to impersonate her on Facebook. She alleged that he has refused to release her passwords to her since 2020 and that he went on to unpublish her Facebook account.
Pastor Timilehin Adigun has responded to Juliana Oloyede after the actress called him out.
According to Pastor Adigun he created all Juliana’s social media accounts, including YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook for free as a father would.
He said he made sure to give Juliana all her passwords and he doesn’t currently have her passwords.
He narrated how she left his church after he did something which he later apologized for, but she said she was unable to forgive him.
Timilehin admitted that he used her Facebook account to make a post but when she called him out on Instagram about it, he deleted it.
He then gave explained why he unpublished her Facebook account.
He also added that he knows many of her secrets but won’t reveal it to the world because he is her “father”.
Popular Nigerian socialite and Aphrodisiac seller, Jaruma has been remanded in prison over the shades she threw at Actress Regina Daniel’s husband, Ned Nwoko.
Recall that the Billionaire reportedly accused Jaruma of publishing false information on her social media page against his wife, Regina Daniels.

The controversial reality star disclosed during an interview with media personality Taymesan that she almost succeeded in taking her life, but was eventually rushed to the hospital.
Khloe revealed that the photo was taken while she was still unconscious after he cosmetic surgery and the person decided to share it on social media.
She said she drank anti-septic and various soap-washers just because she felt she could not face the shame of her naked photo being circulated online.

The decomposed body of a missing matric student, Sisipho Mayile, was discovered in the bushes near Camphill bridge in Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa.
The 21-year-old matric student who hails from Qhayiya Secondary School in Zwelihle, was declared missing on Sunday, January 16. Speaking to Hermanus Times, Sisipho’s stepfather, Zukisa Fono, recalled the day the family last saw her.
“It was very hot, and I was sitting outside. She came back to fetch her hookah pipe and left again. I also tried calling her numerous times but the phone just rang,” he said.
“By Monday morning at about 6am, her phone just went to voicemail. A close friend contacted me and said he had seen her late Sunday afternoon close to the taxi rank. He said she ran towards a friend who called her, and that was the last time she was seen.”
Western Cape Police confirmed the discovery of the body in a statement on Tuesday January 25.
“We can confirm that the badly decomposed body of a female was found in the bushes near Camphill bridge in Hermanus on Friday at 1pm. A murder case docket has been opened for investigation,” Sergeant Wesley Twigg from the SAPS Western Cape Media Centre told IOL.
The family of Sisipho also confirmed that they were informed of the discovery of the body on Friday, and have identified the body as that of Sisipho.
Police and the family say that a post-mortem and DNA test will be conducted to determine the cause of death and to officially identify the person.
Police said community protests occurred last night and three houses were set alight and destroyed. The houses are said to belong to a man suspected to be involved in the case.
“Cases of arson were opened for investigation. Police forces are on the ground and will remain in the affected area until we are satisfied that calm has been restored.” Twigg said.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun, Georgina’s uncle Jesus Hernandez, claimed she abandoned her old family after moving in with her billionaire partner.

American rapper, Cardi B has won her defamation lawsuit against gossip blogger and YouTuber, Latasha Kebe, known popularly online as Tasha K, and has been awarded $1.25 million in damages.
The jury’s verdict on the 24th of January, 2022 concluded a two-week federal trial during which the rapper testified that she had experienced extreme anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation due to Kebe’s claims.
Cardi had taken Kebe to court in 2019 over dozens of videos featuring wild allegations, among which was the high- (or low-)light that the rapper B “f–ked herself with beer bottles” onstage when she was working as a stripper.
Kebe also claimed that Cardi prostituted herself, was addicted to hard drugs, was unfaithful to her husband Offset, and had contracted herpes.
Cardi testified last week that she felt “extremely suicidal” over Kebe’s claims. “I felt defeated and depressed and I didn’t want to sleep with my husband,” she added, chalking up fatigue, weight loss, migraines and anxiety to the ordeal.
“Only an evil person could do that s–t,” Cardi reportedly said, subsequently apologizing to the court for her language.
Cardi disclosed as well that the herpes rumor in particular dogged her online, as some of Kebe’s million-plus followers harassed her over pictures of her kissing daughter Kulture on the lips and called her “Herpes B.”
Kebe also reportedly admitted in court that she had knowingly published lies about the rapper, but attempted to walk that statement back when her attorneys examined her. Ultimately, jurors sided with Cardi B on all three claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
They allotted $1 million for “general damages (pain and suffering and/or reputational injury)” and $250,000 for medical expenses. Tuesday proceedings will determine whether Tasha K will also owe more punitive damages or need to pay for Cardi B’s legal expenses.

A Nigerian businessman, simply identified as Bama, has reportedly been murdered by his wife for allegedly impregnating another woman in Lagos.
Bama, who was the owner of Bama hotel and suites located in the Abule-Egba area of the state, was allegedly attacked by his wife while he was asleep on Monday, January 24.
The couple were married for eight years and had three children before the unfortunate incident occurred.
It was gathered that they just returned from a trip to Dubai when the aggrieved wife drugged her husband and attacked him with a hot iron.
A source claimed, “she accused him of impregnating another woman. And from what I heard, she drugged him and used hot iron to press him to death.”

Meanwhile, Life coach, Solomon Buchi has opined that intentionally farting in the presence of one’s partner is not romantic, but disrespectful.

A young Nigerian man who was randomly picked up by the police has been released after spending two years in jail.
The man whose name wasn’t disclosed, was allegedly arrested while he was on his way home two years ago and has reportedly been behind bars since then.
According to lawyer and activist, Malachy Odo, who shared this on Twitter, the man has finally regained freedom today, January 25, after appearing at the Surulere Magistrate court.
Sharing a group photo with the young man, Malachy wrote,
“The young man in white shirt goes home today from Surulere Magistrate Court after 2 years in prison custody sequel to being picked up by the police at night on his way home.
The unidentified man was reportedly arrested during a raid in Oworonshoki and subsequently imprisoned for seven years in Ikoyi prisons, Lagos state.

A friend of the couple, David Akinbode Odekunle Enilolobo, took to Facebook on Saturday, January 22, to share the heartwarming news and congratulate the new parents.
He wrote,
“Congratulations to Deacon and Deaconess Temple Otikpere for God has blessed them with a set of Triplets after waiting on the Lord for 15 years, God is too faithful to fail.”
Mr Edogbo, who is an architect, took to Facebook to celebrate the birth of their children on Saturday, July 10 2021.
The proud father shared photos which captured their journey from pregnancy, the birth of their triplets on January 21, 2021, and their church thanksgiving service which held in Lekki, Lagos.
Sharing the photos, Mr Edogbo wrote,
“WORDS FAIL ME…. THANK YOU LORD FOR EVERYTHING. THE BIRTH OF OUR TRIPLETS… 21st January, 2021….AFTER 15 YEARS OF WAITING.
TODAY’S TESTIMONY AS PART OF THE BIRTHDAY THANKSGIVING TO GOD.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MOTHERHOOD.
WE PRAY FOR ALL THOSE WAITING ON THE LORD FOR THE FRUIT OF THE WOMB, GOD WILL VISIT YOU AND YOU WILL SHARE YOUR TESTIMONY IN JESUS NAME.”
Nigerian comedian, Baba De Baba, has reacted after he came under fire for praying for actress, Mercy Aigbe, after she showed off her new man.
The comedian took to social media to commend and congratulate the thespian on finally finding love again. However, this comes amid backlash from netizens who accused the actress of tying the knot with a man who’s married with kids.
Reacting to the backlash he received following his congratulatory message to Mercy, Baba De lambasted his critics, calling them fools.
He noted that Mercy’s new boo, Kazim Adeoti is a Muslim man, and his religion permits him to marry more than one wife.
He went on to tell his critics that he will not apologize for praying for Mercy and blessing her union.
In his words,
“If you’re attacking me you’re stupid, because Mercy Aigbe married a Muslim… If you expect me to apologize for praying and blessing Mercy Aigbe, I will not”.
Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has opined that the popular photo and video sharing platform, Instagram, makes people appreciate their bodies less.
The Mama Africa star stated this in a tweet on Monday, January 24, 2022.
According to her, Instagram makes people feel kike their body isn’t enough. She however, enjoined her fans and followers to love themselves regardless.
She urged them to not feel intimidate or get carried way by the glam they see on Instagram, but rather carry themselves with pride and elegance.
“Instagram go just make you feel like say your body no reach! My dear ,wear the cloth you use your money to buy!Na fat we fat, we no kee anybody”, she wrote.
