In a quick update, NDLEA has revealed that it arrested the skit maker as well as three others in the Lagos raid.

See the statement released below:
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in the early hours of today, Wednesday 12th January arrested a skit maker, Sunday Joshua, popularly known on social media as De-General, following the raid of a notorious drug joint at Orchid Estate, Lekki area of Lagos state.
Acting on credible intelligence, narcotic officers stormed the drug joint in the estate, where three suspects were arrested with illicit drugs including 200 sachets of 225mg Tramadol and 1.5kilograms of cannabis sativa. In the course of the operation, some persons including the suspected dealer ran away with bags suspected to contain exhibits.
A trail showed they ran into a house located at 2B Saula Akinlolu way, Orchid estate, which is the residence of 22-year-old Sunday Joshua (aka De General). The young men started to make noise to prevent a search. The operatives introduced themselves as officers of NDLEA and submitted themselves for search before entry. This was done and a search was conducted.

The search led to the recovery of drug exhibits including cannabis sativa; Tramadol 225mg, and some paraphernalia for drug use. This was after the suspect had requested to record on video the search, which the officers out of sense of civility allowed. The video trending on social media was the moment the suspect and his friends decided to disrupt the bid to conduct a search of the house.
In his confessional statement in custody, the suspect admitted ownership of the drugs recovered from his house.

Crossdresser, Bobrisky, has taken to social media to declare support for his friend, Mompha, who is currently in EFCC custody over alleged money laundering.

It can be recalled that the billionaire businessman was rearrested on Monday, January 10 and arraigned before Justice Mojisola Dada of the special offences court, sitting in Ikeja earlier today, January 12.

According to him, people thinking he would be happy about his friend’s predicament don’t know him. He noted that he’s someone who values friendship and would stand with Mompha through this trying time.
In his words,
“I’m that friend that stand till death cos my friendship with you is d purest !!!!! I know wherever you are right now you are fine. Have always know you as a strong man not d weak. Many people try everything to break us cos they don’t understand d friendship, well it’s their business and their opinion. Ghanaian actor turned evangelist, Majid Michel has tackled members of the LGBTQ community over their yearly parade.
Speaking in an interview on JoyNews, the actor questioned why they need to go on a parade to sleep with their fellow gender.

According to him, the parade shows that deep down they know they are doing something wrong and need validation from the public to go on with it.
Michel said;
“If you want to sleep with a man, why do you have to go on a parade and sleep with the man. If I want to sleep with a woman, I don’t go on a parade. I don’t go to the streets to say hey, I’m going to sleep with a woman. If you are a woman and you want to go sleep with a man, go sleep and if you are a man and you want to sleep with a woman, go sleep with her because you are rather giving me the idea that you yourself, inside of you, you feel you are not doing something right and you want validation and you want us to say, okay go ahead and if we give you the right, you will say……….heyyy”
He further asserted that organizing a parade shows they don’t believe in what they are doing as there is no need to have a parade if you are doing something that is socially and morally correct.
“I haven’t seen any man in a parade who says he wants to sleep with a woman because well, this is a normal thing to do. If you do a parade about sex, then you yourself want to tell me that you don’t believe in what you’re doing. Before I give you the go ahead to go and do it, why are you going to do the parade? he added.

Human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, has shared the story of how a University of Port Harcourt student he used to counsel, died after struggling with thoughts of her death.

According to Comrade Joe, the young model identified as Vera Grand, died in a car accident in October 2021.
In the lengthy post he shared on Facebook, Joe disclosed that when he met Vera for the first time in 2019 at Effurun, Delta State, she told him that she constantly thinks she is going to die.
Sadly, she succumbed to the thought and passed away just days after her birthday.

Read his post below:
“Rest on dearest. “Comrade I just think I will d.i.e” Vera Grand.
I met this beautiful lady towards the end of 2019. She walked close to and called loudly “Comrade Joe” as I stood close to the customer care upstairs at GT Bank Airport Road Effurun.
She told me she has been my follower on Facebook after I posted a story of a 13 year old girl who was drowned in a bucket of water and r.a.p.e.d by her step father at Jakpa Road.
According to Vera, none of my posts whether good or bad pass her phone screen without liking or commenting on it which I noticed over time.

We moved from becoming virtual to actual friends. We exchanged contact and off course interact most times on phone. When she told me about a thought which always come to her that she would die.
I rebuked her and told her that thought is nothing but a demonic voice trying to reset her mindset into a negative reality. I advised her to also talk to her pastor about it while I proffered psychological therapy as well.
She struggled with that thought until we met according to what she told me. I gave her a book about the mind authored by Napoleon Hills. We communicated at least twice monthly. I remembered the last time I saw Vera about three weeks to her birthday in October last year 2021
She met me at Shell Golf Club Ogunu, Warri where I went to play table tennis and I interrogated her about her school, friends and family.
She told me being a student of UNIPORT must keep one busy but we do not talk often anymore as that thinking is trying to return. I just told her to forgive my being extremely busy with societal matters but promised to keep checking on her.
I told Vera that the mind is a battle field and whatever sunk into someone’s subconscious if not filtered and checked crystalizes into reality. “Never be scared of anything Vera. Nothing happens to one unless one looses the battle of the mind. Are you a chicken that fears anything and everything? You had better be a lion that turns from nothing dear.”

I again told her to pray against such thoughts. I woke up and discovered that faithful day 8th October barely three months ago was her birthday. I called and also sent wishes to her. We chatted on WhatsApp same day. The last word she told me was an assurance of loyalty. “Whatever Happens I still remain your loyal fan Mr. Activist”. I told her to ensure she sends my cake across and we laughed over it.
I was worried when I tried to reach Vera in December knowing that we haven’t spoken after her birthday. Activities upon activities, her number was switch off and I became nervous only to contact her friend this week who told me Vera d.i.e.d few days after her birthday. She had a motor a.c.c.i.d.e.n.t and couldn’t survived it on the spot.
This is a huge shock to me. You finally lost the battle but I know you have entered a golden place of peace and rest from the disturbances of negative voices. You were a rare breed and special friend indeed my dear. You were full of fun and I trust your beautiful soul find eternal rest. Your friends and family will miss you. Continue to rest dearest.”
