Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has disclosed that she won’t condone false stories and rumours about herself in 2022.

Taking to Twitter, the on-air personality and TV host stated that she has had enough and she won’t let all she has built over the years be reduced to false stories.

The 37-year-old host further complained about how people are more concerned about who is sleeping with than her accomplishments. She added that she won’t take any disrespect from bloggers this year.

In a series of tweets, she wrote,

“I could launch businesses, empower my community, find the cure to cancer and they won’t care to promote it but stories about who I’m sleeping with, you see that one, they’ll hawk it like gala on the street and this year I’m not looking away again.

“I really don’t want to start my year like this but I won’t let all I have built over the years be reduced to false stories that go on for so long, especially when I’m in the middle of important things going on with me. I get it, agenda must agend but let’s be guided.

Many a times false narratives have been created over the years. Most times I have looked away thinking you’ll get bored and the truth will always speak for itself but the obsession with my vagina and where it’s been or who it is servicing is completely crazy.

“I really hate to give life to drama but at some point some things really just have to be addressed once and for all, bloggers really need to do better this year, you may not like me, that’s ok but what you won’t continue to do is disrespect me. It’s enough.”

Nigerian lady narrates how her ex-boyfriend who she has a restraining order against burnt down her family house (Video)

A US-based Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to seek help after her ex-boyfriend allegedly burnt down her family house.

According to the lady simply identified as Adetomi on the micro-blogging platform, her 57-year-old mum, siblings, nieces, and pets were in the house when her estranged lover, who she has a restraining order against, fired bullets at the back of the house.

Sharing photos and videos of the ruins, she revealed her family is left with nothing and pleaded with people to help them with food, clothes, and cash.

Lamenting that restraining orders are useless, Adetomi noted that her mum, who is now 57, started living in the house when she was 18.

“I don’t know how to tell y ‘all without saying it…my ex boyfriend who I have a restraining order against set my family house on fire while my family was inside… We have nothing! This monster took our home away from us. We are accepting clothes, food, and cash and prayers.” Her tweet read in part.

Late Sylvester Oromoni’s mother breaks down in tears; lays curse on those responsible for son’s death (Video)

Mrs Oromoni, mother of late Dowen college student, Sylvester Oromoni, has reacted after Lagos State Government exonerated the five students and staff of the school arrested in connection with the death of her son.

It was earlier reported that the state government cleared the suspects following the legal advice of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Ms. Adetutu Oshinusi, stating that the toxicology report of Sylvester’s post mortem samples did not show any toxic or poisonous substance in his body, as claimed by his family.

Shortly after a video of the bereaved mother calling on God to avenge the death of her son surfaced and stirred emotions from Nigerians on social media.

Amid tears, Mrs. Oromoni prayed for God to fight for her and cut short the lives of all those involved in the death of her son and those supporting his killers.

“This battle that is on ground is of the lord. Everlasting living God, the creator of heaven and earth, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the owner of the whole planet, the God who created the whole universe will surely avenge the death of my son, Sylvester Oromoni jnr.

For this the whole world will know that there is God that fights for the oppressed. Jehovah God arise and let those that cut the life of my son short , cut their lives short. And those that are supporting them, oh lord, cut their lives short.

Popular Instagram comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo, better known as Mr. Macaroni, has said he learnt the art of giving and helping others from singer Davido’s dad, Adedeji Adeleke.

In a series of tweets, Mr. Macaroni recalled how the billionaire businessman bought him his first laptop ever and was always there to help when he needed money as an undergraduate.

He noted that at some point he abused the access, but Davido’s dad never got upset, but instead remained kind and generous.

A Ghanaian wife, identified as @enyonvm on Twitter, has taken to the platform to disclose how she surprised her husband with his dream phone.

The young woman bought the love of her life a brand new Google Pixel 6 phone which he had earlier expressed interest in.

Sometime in December 2021, her husband, Efo Dela, had described the phone as “Goals” while reacting to a picture of the phone on the micro-blogging platform.

Nigerian queer activist, Amara The Lesbian has in a new development, revealed that her former lesbian partner, Uyai Ikpe-Etim was once married to a man. To prove this, she released their screenshots of their chats.

Amara’s latest revelation comes as a counter to Uyai’s claim of subjecting her to abuses — Amara revealed that she chose to go public with her truth so “it can set her free”.

Confirming that herself and her main partner, Olayinka were in a relationship with Uyai, she disclosed that the younger sister of Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim asked them both out.

Amara accused Uyai of weaponizing her mental health in her former marriage with a man and with lesbian activist, Pamela who was also formerly married to a man. She also alleged that Uyai never worked in any of her lesbian relationships.

Asides from accusing Uyai of torturing and abusing her ex-husband, she also described her as “manipulative”. In a video shared on her page she also calls out gay rights activist, Mathew Blaise, revealing that she began withdrawing from him because he was allegedly manipulative too.

She revealed that Mathew left his bills for them even though he knew they were struggling. Amara also disclosed that her main partner, Olayinka also witnessed same.

The activist also called out another Nigerian lesbian couple, Bibi and Kelly who she accused of being “users”.

LGBT activist, Amara, has continued to drag her former lesbian partner, Uyai Ikpe-Etim after the latter called her out.

The drama started after actress Nse Ikpe Etim‘s lesbian sister called Amara out, accusing her of abusing her while they were still dating.

Reacting to the allegations, Amara, in a video she shared on social media, admitted that they were in an abusive relationship, but not all that Uyai said about their relationship is true.

In a new post, Amara has spilled some secrets about her former lover, Uyai and also shared screenshots of their chats to backup her claims.

According to Amara, Uyai who was once married to a man weaponized and manipulated her ex-husband to end their marriage. She further alleged that Uyai subjected her ex-husband to abuse and torture while they were still married.

32-year-old Kenyan gospel singer, Peter Omwaka, otherwise known as Guardian Angel, has tied the knot with his 51-year-old girlfriend, Esther Musila.

Guardian Angel had proposed to Esther, a mother of three, last year on her 51st birthday after dating for one year and two months.

Sharing photos from their wedding on social media, the singer revealed he married his lover on his birthday, January 4.

“And on my birthday, God did it again. Mr and Mrs Omwaka”, he wrote.

Lagos Govt clears all five students and staff arrested over Sylvester Oromoni’s death, says autopsy ruled out murder and no harmful substance was found in his body

The Lagos State Government has exonerated the five students and staff of Dowen College, Lagos, arrested in connection with the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni.

They were all cleared, including the school, following the legal advice of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Ms. Adetutu Oshinusi addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID and the trial magistrate, Magistrate Olatunbosun Adeola.

In the legal advice, it was reported that the cause of his death was “Septicaemia, Lobar Pneumonia with Acute Pyelonephritis, Pyomyositis of the right ankle and Acute Bacteria Pneumonia due to severe Sepsis.”

They added that the toxicology report of Sylvester’s post mortem samples did not show any toxic or poisonous substance in his body, as claimed by his family.

The DPP’s legal advice, therefore, concluded that based on these findings, there is no case of murder, involuntary manslaughter and or malicious administering of poison with intent to harm against the five students, Favour Benjamin aged 16, Micheal Kashamu (15), Edward Begue (16), Ansel Temile (14) and Kenneth Inyang (15).

The students were also cleared of claims of belonging to a cult due to insufficient facts to establish the offence.

“From available facts in the duplicate case file, the investigation carried out by the Police did not reveal that any secret society name, tattoo or insignia of any unlawful society was found in the possession of any of the suspects during the investigation carried out by the Police.

To hold otherwise would amount to sniffing for an offence and a speculative act which is not permitted in law. It is trite law that suspicion no matter how grave cannot be a ground for conviction.” the legal advice read in part.

The school and its five employees: Celina Uduak, Valentine Igboekweze, Hammed Ayomo Bariyu, Adesanya Olusesan Olusegun and one Adeyemi, were also cleared of all charges and directions have been given for all the suspects to be released from custody.

Meanwhile, the school is still closed.

Family and friends have taken to social media to jubilate as a bride who was abducted in Plateau state has tied the knot with her man after regaining her freedom.

The bride, identified as Farmatof Paul, was abducted from her pastor’s house in the Bokkos local government area of Plateau State a few hours before her wedding, slated to hold Monday, January 3rd.

It was gathered that she regained freedom on Monday night and she tied the knot with her man , Zaphaniah Kosom, on Tuesday, January 4th.

Taking to Facebook to express gratitude to God for her safe return and the success of the wedding a friend of the couple wrote,

A video of the founder and leader of True Fire Prophetic Word Ministries, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, in bed with a TikTok star has surfaced online.

The controversial Ghanaian prophet has been accused of being a ‘womanizer’ in the past. He also admitted to sleeping with other women, asides his wife in 2018.

According to him, women are his greatest weakness and many of them make advances towards him. However, he said he has been trying as much as possible to stay focused, and ignore the women who ‘worry’ him.

Interestingly, in a video sighted online, a man who bears a semblance with Gaisie was seen topless in bed with a TikTok female celebrity.

The lady in question, is very popular for posting seductive videos of herself on the platform. She also shares videos of herself twerking and smoking shisha.

However, the nature of Gaisie’s relationship with the young lady is still unclear.

UPDATE: Prophet Nigel Gaisie has stated that a recent video of him lying shirtless in bed with a young lady is an attempt by some wicked persons to denigrate him.

Reacting to the video in a Facebook post which has since been deleted from his account, the founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel described the identity of the young lady in the video as Sandra Mantey.

He claimed that the lady is the daughter of his biological sister and thus urged the public to ignore any twist being ascribed to the video.

“This was just brought to my Attention. This is my blood sisters (sic) daughter her name is Sandra Mantey. They have Nothing about me so this (sic) what they will do!!! FUNNY PEOPLE …..IGNORE THEM*THIS GIRL IS MY BLOOD SISTERS DAUGHTER WICKED PEOPLE,” he wrote.

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, has admitted that his much-publicized fight with his controversial colleague, Uche Maduagwu, was a publicity stunt.

He made this known during a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jidonwo.

Recall that in August 2021, Jim Iyke tracked Uche down to his residence and physically confronted him for questioning the source of his wealth and labelling him a ‘ritualist’. Watch here.

The fight was the hottest topic on social media at the time and netizens marked Jim Iyke as a no-go area for social media trolling.

However, some netizens argued that the fight was a publicity stunt for a movie the actor released during that period, with a similar storyline.

Well, Jim Iyke has now admitted that the fight was orchestrated for publicity and Uche was paid handsomely for it.

According to him, he had spent over 20 million on promoting the movie but it didn’t get much traction from Nigerians so he decided to tap into Nigerians’ thirst for gossip and bad news to promote the move, and it worked!

The 45-year-old actor added that he is too strategic to jeopardize the success of his film by getting into a real fight with Uche.

Nollywood actor, Imeh Bishop Umoh popularly known as Okon Lagos, has taken to social media to ask if real justice will be served in the Sylvester Oromoni case.

Recall that the 12-year-old student of Dowen College died on November 30 after he was allegedly beaten and tortured by his seniors in the hostel.

The five students Sylvester allegedly mentioned before he died and three housemasters, who were arrested in connection with his death, have all been released.

According to the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, the autopsy carried out on Sylvester’s body does not indicate that he was murdered.

Reacting to the dramatic twist and turns of the case, the comic actor in an Instagram page, questioned if justice will ever be served. He also vowed never to send his children to a boarding school except their safety is guaranteed.

“I have never boarded in a hostel in secondary school. The only time I did, I was in SS3. With the death of Sylvester and the post death dramatic twist of events very fresh in memory, I will NO ALLOW my kids in a boarding school. If I may, then it will be if and only if like and health security is HUGELY guaranteed. Even at that, I’m still doubtful.”

The internet celebrity who recently opened up on his traumatic experience in Ikoyi Prison, claimed one of the guys in the cell with him fell head over heels for him by the third day.

Recounting the experience in an interview with Hip TV, James Brown said,

“I went to prison for two months. They put me in a prison for only guys and it was pretty intense. When I got there, they gave me welcome beating. They beat me till my wrist started shifting. And funny enough on the second or third day, a guy fell in love with me. I am still in contact with him in a way but I don’t have plans of going back there. Holy ghost fire.”

Noting that he has no gender preference when it comes to dating, he urged men and women who are interested in him to shoot their shots.

“If you want to toast me, enter my DM. Guys or ladies anyone. I don’t have options now.” He added.

Twitter takes down Shatta Wale’s tweet where he seemingly admitted ‘engaging in rape’

Twitter has taken down Ghanaian rapper, Shatta Wale’s tweet where he seemingly admitted to having engaged in rape.

The controversial rapper and popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, recently had a heated exchange on social media, and in the heat of the drama, Shatta Wale seemingly admitted to having raped Burna’s girl.

“Because he is a rapist, He is jealous I did same to his girl. Cuz that’s his job, Raping jealousy”. He tweeted.

However, a quick check on the tweet which sparked outrage on the micro-blogging platform shows it has been taken down by Twitter and a message of deletion which reads, “This Tweet is no longer available because it violated the Twitter Rules.” was attached to it.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian Dancehall Artiste, Stonebwoy has reacted to his compatriot, Shatta Wale’s accusation that Ghanaian artistes support Nigerian artistes more than Nigerian Artistes do for Ghanaians.

Stonebwoy said that with great power comes great responsibility and Nigerian artistes should carry the “responsibility of helping to forge a united African front by deliberately allowing music from other African nations which pollinate Nigerian music to flourish on Nigerian platforms on local and international levels”.

He said that his countryman, Shatta Wale, may not have approached the issue the right way but tthat Shatta Wale’s concern is valid

Actress Kemi Afolabi has sustained injuries and her car was vandalized after she was attacked by traffic robbers in Lagos last night.

The Actress who revealed that she’s traumatized explained that she was on her way home from a movie set when she and her driver were attacked by the robbers.

”I am in a state of shock! Traumatized!!
I haven’t closed my eyes to sleep since yesterday.

I also experienced the highly poor insecurity state in Nigeria which has become a norm. No matter how much we scream and cry it always falls on deaf ears of those who govern us even when death is involved.

My driver and I were attacked by armed robbers at Arepo where I went to film while in traffic on our way back home yesterday, They broke my windscreens, left my whole body with wounds and skin in pains because of the impact of the shattered glass which was forcefully broken while I was in the car, my arm was cut with cutlass, they took my phones, belongings and ran off! Sadly my driver also took a hit to his head.

Still I am thankful because it could be worse!
However, this is nothing compared to what I’ve been through in recent times.

No matter what may come my way, I will forever be grateful to God for preserving my life.

New Year, New Love – Iyabo Ojo and Fathia Williams end two-year beef.

Nollywood Actresses, Iyabo Ojo and Fathia Williams have kicked off the new year by quashing their two-year-old beef and the fans love to see it.

Iyabo Ojo in a post she shared on her social media page, disclosed that will be following each other back on Instagram. She also thanked Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo and veteran actor, Olaiya Igwe, for the role they played in their reconciliation.

In her words ;
