A video making rounds online shows the moment a Nigerian lady surprised her boyfriend with a plot of land, other gifts for his birthday.
The lady, simply identified as VickAjiboye, decided to spoil the love of her life as he turns a year older today, December 23.
In the video, she is seen spraying N200 bills on her man before presenting him with a gift box containing the legal documents of the land she bought in his name, and other gifts including cash.
According to her, he has always wanted a land in Ibadan local government area of Oyo state so she decided to make his dream come true.
The video has caused a stir on social media as netizens laud the young lady for going the extra mile for her man.
Some netizens opined that the man must have spent a lot of money on the lady in the past for her to gift him a plot of land.
The family of the late Dowen College student, Sylvester Oromoni, has kicked against the N1 million bail granted by a Lagos magistrate court to suspects of their son’s murder.
A Magistrate court sitting in Yaba on Tuesday granted N1 million bail to five students of Dowen College charged with the alleged murder of the minor.
It can be recalled that the deceased was allegedly beaten and tortured to death for his refusal to join their cult by some seniors, who he reportedly mentioned before he passed away.
However, the Chief Magistrate, Olatunbosun Adeola, after hearing the bail application filed by the counsel for the defendants, granted the suspects bail.
Reacting to this development, Sylvester Oromoni’s father queried the bail given to the suspects by the court, especially when the 21 days requested by the police for investigation was yet to elapse.
“Yesterday I was called that those boys were granted bail by a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos. I said, “why?” I now called the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State and he told me; I was not aware, and that they were not done with the investigation.
I called the DCP in charge of the case who later confirmed to me that the story is true.
But it was a surprise to me that the same judge gave them 21 days which expires on the 28 of this month when the police requested for the remand order. The court granted 21 days to keep those boys.
And the 21 days have not expired, and the court granted them bail. I am calling on President Muhammadu Buhari, the Lagos State Government and the Inspector General of Police to please take note.
Secondly, the police said they are not done with the investigation, that granting the boys bail will not help their investigation, they are getting more facts.
And they were even planning that after the 21 days if they are not done with their investigation, they will ask for an extension. I am surprised that the court granted them bail when the date given has not elapsed.
I am not a lawyer but what the family is saying is that they should allow the police to conclude their investigation. I am not saying that they should not be granted bail but it is the court that gave the police 21 days”. He said.

Nigerian-born professional rugby player, Daniel Igbinedion, has been jailed for brutally assaulting his girlfriend and threatening to kill her in the UK.
The 26-year-old former West Yorkshire rugby league player was sentenced to three years and three months in jail for charges bordering on controlling and coercive behaviour and three charges of assault on Tuesday, December 21.
According to his girlfriend, Katy Lyles, 35, she suffered different forms of abuse from Igbinedion during the 18 months they dated.
Speaking after he was sentenced to jail, Lyles said they met when he became her personal trainer at her local gym.
She said she thought he was a decent guy when she first met him but he quickly became possessive and jealous.
She said,
“About six months into our relationship he became physically violent, and showed me that he had a very evil side to him.
“He made threats which made me scared of what he would do to me and my family. He held me prisoner and followed me everywhere. He proposed to me and even promised that he would never harm me again – if I accepted a promise ring from him. I rejected his proposal and then, months later, he tried to kill me.”
He reportedly dragged her out of a club on one occassion, and forcefully removed her SmartWatch so she wouldn’t be able to call 999 before threatening her with a blade.
On another occasion, he was said to have picked her up and slung her over his shoulder to carry her out of a Christmas party in Liverpool in 2018.
He was also said have pursued her car erratically and aggressively to the point that she considered taking her own life.
According to the 35-year-old insurance broker, she now suffers flashbacks, anxiety and sleepless nights, having been scarred by the various incidents.
Ms Lyles said: “He tried to kill me. He tried to strangle me. Daniel pointed a knife at me.”
The court later heard that Igbinedion had suffered from mental health issues and had undertaken an anger management course while in custody.
Igbinedion, who was arrested in December 2020, carried out the abuse between May 2018 and March 2020.

Award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has recounted how his teacher said he’d never amount to anything in life because of his bad grades.
The 30BG boss made this revelation in a chat on the Tea with Taymesan podcast, while reflecting on his childhood, career, and how he started singing at age 16.
“I know how bad my grades were. In school, I was like the most unlikely to succeed type of student. My French teacher told me I won’t be anything in this life. I wont lie I was a bad kid with good intentions. Life is fast, I have been doing this continuously since I was sixteen years old. Off course I have had to cry, not even about losing my friends alone. I cry about different situations. It comes and goes. I cried on my birthday”, he said.
