Former presidential aide and lawyer, Reno Omokri has reacted to the decision of popular singer, Davido, to give out all the money donated by friends and fans.

It can be recalled that the singer announced that he is donating the N201 million he received plus his personal N50 million to orphanages across Nigeria.

Reno, in an Instagram post, commended the singer for the grand gesture and described him as a man with a heart of Gold.

He however threw jabs at those who donated to the entertainer but would not willingly donate to an orphanage. He further stated that Davido is wiser than everyone who sent him money.

He wrote,

“Davido is much wiser than all those who gave him monies on his birthday. He understands the spiritual realm and the ways of God. He has secured a soft spot in the Heart of the Creator, by virtue of James 1:27. I commend him. What a heart of Gold. What a man to watch for the future. Could his life trajectory be like Ronald Reagan’s? Those who gave to him are are different issue entirely. They should read Proverbs 22:16.

To show you how vain human nature is, very few people will donate ₦1 million to orphanages, who really need the money. But they will fall over themselves to donate ₦1 million to Davido, who doesn’t need the money. Davido understood that. And did what he did. If he had asked them to donate to orphanages, you won’t see the deluge of Naira rain you saw. Davido showed a deep understanding of human nature. I personally believe that this was his intention all along. And I love how he added ₦50 million of his own money. That will show those who said that he was doing this because he is broke that they are the ones who are broke, both morally and financially. Bravo David Adeleke. Bravo!”

Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, is celebrating his 64th birthday today, November 20, and has been celebrated by all and sundry including his former aide, Reno Omokri.

Reno took to his Instagram page to shower praises on the ex-president who left office in 2015.

According to the lawyer and author, time has proven that Goodluck Jonathan is the best President Nigeria has ever had.

In the lengthy post he shared, Reno listed some of the achievements of the former President when he was in office and prayed for God’s blessings upon his life.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Maria Chike Benjamin has reacted to her co-reality star, Pere Egbi’s comment about using mobile phones during a flight.

Pere had sparked a debate online after he warned Nigerians of the dangers of leaving their phones on during take-off and landing.

He had tweeted, “Dear Nigerians, when the flight crew says turn off all mobile devices especially during the critical phases of taking off and landing, TURN IT OFF! Those texts and calls can wait! Safety first! Happy Friday!”

However, controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, disagreed with his statement, adding that nothing can happen to an aircraft even if someone is on a call during takeoff or landing.

BBN’s Maria has now weighed into the conversation and she concurred with Daddy Freeze’s stance. Citing her experience in the aviation sector, the former air hostess said a phone can’t affect an aircraft at any stage of the flight.

“As an ex flight attendant for 6 years and a trained basic pilot there’s absolutely nothing that can happen to the aircraft/flight all any stages of the flight, take off, cruise and landing stages. Thank you,” Maria wrote.

Veteran actress, Joke Silva has opened up for the first time about her husband, actor Olu Jacob’s health condition.

Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jidonwo, the award-winning thespian disclosed that Olu Jacobs has dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).

According to her, it’s been going on for a couple of years but this is the first time she’s speaking about it publicly.

Her words,

“He is dealing with issues and it is been going on for a couple of years. It is known as dementia with lewy body.

“It is a degenerative disease that affects the brain and it is almost like a Parkinson type of disease, it affects the brain and affects the person.

“First time i’m saying this publicly… that is what we have been dealing…but the thing is, it is hard on him because he doesn’t understand what is going on and it is hard on us family members as well.

“We have gone through it over the past couple of years but we thank God.”

She continued: “We have gone through some times and situations recently that I wish I had the old you here so I don’t battle these times on my own but we are grateful for the moment of clarity. I miss the times we work together.”

The 60-year-old actress also spoke about finding out at the age of 10 that she was adopted when she was 9 months. According to her, she stumbled on the information by accident while rummaging through her mother’s documents.

The actress, who celebrated 40 years in the entertainment industry recently, had previously spokenol about how she discovered she was adopted.

She said at the time,

“It’s something like where one is just getting to share it in the public. It is something that I found out when I was much younger. Mine was a secret adoption. It was not something that my parents discussed.

“My mum’s elder sister wanted me to travel with her to Kenya and my mother was not around. She asked if I knew where my passport was and I was like yes yes yes. I know where mum keeps all the important documents.

“Then I go to the important suitcase that has all the important documents, where I found my passport but also found my adoption certificate. It was like ‘I beg your pardon’. I was 10-11 at the time. It was a bit shattering.

“It was tough. You know how you’re very sensitive as a child. There was just something in it letting you know they would have discussed it with you if it was something they wanted to discuss.

“But I got to a point when I was able to discuss it, myself and my mum. What was interesting is that she found it easier to discuss it with my older son than she did with me. My mum wasn’t comfortable discussing it.”

Davido donates all 200 million to charity, adds 50 million from his personal funds

Davido has said that the 200 million he raised from friends, colleagues, fans for his birthday will be donated to Charity.

The DMW boss in a statement via his social media account also noted that he’d be donating 50 million from his own personal money, making the total donation to the orphanage homes to N250 million.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to my friends, colleagues, fans, and the public for the generous expressions of love in recent days. In my usual playful manner. I requested a few days ago that my friends and colleagues send money in celebration of my birthday.

The response and outcome exceeded my expectations, as I received about NGN 200.000 000 00 in less than two days. I truly appreciate everyone who donated hard-earned funds and I am very thankful for your generosity.

Thave always been passionate about giving back and helping people. In view of this, I am delighted to announce that all the funds received, totaling NGN 200,000 000.00, will be donated to orphanages across Nigeria as well as the Paroche foundation. In addition,

I will be making a personal donation of NGN 50,000.000.00. bringing the total amount to NGN 250 000 000.00.

To oversee the distribution of funds to beneficiaries,
I have established a five-person Disbursement Committee. Members of the committee include:

3. Professor Yahana Joel Asabe of the Northern Nigeria Seventh Day Adventist Union Conference.

The committee will compile a list of orphanages across Nigeria, They will determine the number of children and their needs at each orphanage, and then divide the funds accordingly. The committee will also determine the portion of the money that will be donated to Paroche foundation. To maintain transparency, the committee will make public the names of the beneficiary orphanages and how much each will receive.

A list of all beneficiaries and their verified account details will be submitted to Wema Bank, who will then be instructed to credit each beneficiary’s account.

My goal is to do this fundraising every year to celebrate my birthday and give back to people in need. It is my hope that my friends, fans, colleagues in the industry, and the public will continue to support me as I drive this cause, Once again, I express my sincere gratitude to my friends, colleagues, fans, and everyone that made this possible.

Ghanaian rapper, Reggie Rockstone has taken to social media to ask that his fans and colleagues send him money.

Taking a cue from Nigerian superstar singer, Davido, Reggie stated that he wants every Ghanaian who admires him and his music to bless him with GHC 380.

He however stated that unlike Davido, he’s not begging for free money, rather he’s asking asking money in exchange for his product.

Pere said passengers should postpone whatever they want to do with their phones and obey the flight crew when they ask them to switch off their phones.

A Twitter user had taken to the platform to raise alarm that the reality star lost her certificates, clothes and her phones to the fire.

JMK has now confirmed the report in a post she shared on Snapchat. Sharing the ruins of her room, she noted that the past few days has been devastating.

According to her, the unfortunate incident happened around 4am November 16th, when her Ac caught fire from a surge while she slept in the room.

Man who rescued DJ Michelle after water swept her away at the beach speaks (video)

The man who rescued fast-rising DJ Michelle, from drowning has finally narrated his side of the story.

Recall that it was reported by friends and family that Michelle went to the beach with her friends on Thursday, Nov. 18, and she was swept away by the water.

People began mourning her on Friday, Nov. 19, but, more than 24 hours after she reportedly ‘floated away’, it was revealed that she has been found alive.

The man credited with rescuing her from the water a day later was interviewed at the beach.

He said in Yoruba that he had passed where she was on the water but his mind told him to go back. He did and that’s when he found her and rescued her.

He then performed CPR on her to revive her.

A Nigerian nurse has spoken against the video of a boy feeding his sister while his mum was away and berated those praising the act.

The little boy went viral days ago after he was filmed attending to his sister in the halls of a school environment while their mother sat for a quiz. In the video shared online, the boy is seen carrying and feeding his sister a bowl of pap.

However, in an apparent reaction to the video the nurse in a lengthy tweet stated that the video doesn’t sit well with her, as feeding his sister shouldn’t be his responsibility, regardless of the situation.

According to her, children need to be children, hence, the mother should have found an alternative rather than letting him take on such responsibility.

Stella Besin, sister of late fast-rising disc jockey who drowned in a beach at Lekki has spoken about her death.

It was earlier reported the promising Nigerian DJ, Abesin Michelle, otherwise known as DJ Michell, has dr*wned at a beach in Lekki area of Lagos State, on Thursday, November 18th.

According to a source, Michelle, who was at the beach with her siblings and a friend, went into the water to make videos, when she was suddenly swept away by the ocean. Her corpse is yet to be retrieved.

However, in a recent development one Stella Besin who claims to the deceased’s sister, said that people didn’t try to help Michelle while she was drowning, and insisted to see her body.

“My sister did not deserve this, I can’t breathe. They all stood there and watched her drown. God where’s my sister?? Where’s her body??…I’m in shock. God don’t let this be the end. I need a miracle right now. My sister can’t be gone”, she wrote.

“How Funke Akindele treated me after my marriage crashed” – Comedienne, Princess (Video)

Comedienne, Princess has named actress, Funke Akindele as one of those who stood by her when her marriage with Adeshola Jeremiah crashed in 2013.

Princess in a chat with media personality, Jude Jideonwo revealed that after she and her estranged husband parted ways
she was devastated and felt like her life had ended.

In the chat with Jude she recalled how Funke Akindele reached out to her and served as a source of strength during those trying times.

“Funke Akindele called me and I’m sure she’ll remember, she called me and said princess kilonshele, I heard you almost cried yourself to death. Chude I’m telling you, I cried I became sick and lost weight. I said “ah Funke”, I told her in Yoruba, I said my life is ended.

“She said why will you say that, I said can’t you see what happened to my marriage, and then she said didn’t you hear what happened to mine. I said Funke your own is different, you can’t compare yourself to me, atleast you stayed in your husbands house for a year. And she said what are you talking about Princess? And she said to me, im in Enugu shooting,
please let me pay for your flight ticket, come and meet me, I said ah I don’t think I’ll be able to come, she said ah what are you doing, I said im washing, she said kilonfo, I said I’m just washing, she said where are you going, I’m not going anywhere, i was in that house wearing just one clothe. She said Princess mi o understand. Princess, please let me pay for your ticket, come and meet me in Enugu, I’m shooting, we’lll talk”, she said.

Popular singer, Paul Okoye’s estranged wife, Anita Okoye, has revealed how she and her kids celebrated their dad and his twin brother, Peter Okoye, on their birthday.

The famous singing duo of defunct music group, PSquare, who recently reconciled after years of being at odds turned a year older on Thursday, November 18.

Anita has now taken to her IG page to share how she and her kids celebrated them in the USA. According to her, it is their birthday celebration – USA Branch, as the singers threw a lit birthday party in Lagos.

In the adorable video she shared, the kids sent birthday wishes to their dad and twin, and they also danced and vibed to some of Psquare’s old song.

Singer, Burna Boy reveals what his ‘hotness’ did to a fire alarm

Popular singer, Damini Ogulu better known as Burna Boy, has disclosed what his self-appraised ‘hotness’ did to a fire alarm.

The Grammy award winner, in a video he posted on his Instagram story, stated that he is too hot because the fire alarm went off immediately he stepped into a bathroom.

In the video, the Odogwu crooner was obviously feeling his outfit and appearance as he quoted a line from one of Canadian singer, Drake’s song, and stated that he is “way too sexy”.

He wrote; ”I’m too hot. I walked In and the fire alarm went off. Way 2 Sexy”

A while ago, the singer took a lot of his fans by surprise after he took to his Instagram page recently to flaunt his new beardless looks.
On his Instastories, the self-acclaimed African Giant shared a short video clip of himself, showing off a fresh beardless look… which most of his fans have now considered to be a rather weird look.
