Lady cries out for justice after a cabbie dragged her out of his car because she wanted her friend to join the ride (videos)

Lady cries

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to seek justice after a ride-hailing app driver manhandled her because she wanted her friend to join the ride.

Lady cries

The incident reportedly occurred in Abuja today, November 16.

Videos shared online shows the moment the driver, identified as Ifeanyichukwu Chris, roughly dragged her out of his car and injured her in the process.

The victim, who sustained injuries on her knee and fingernail, is said to be in a clinic receiving treatment.

Read a report shared by the victim’s friend below,

So my friend was coming from town with BOLT and she decided to stop by my house which is barely 3 minutes away from her house to pick me up. She told the bolt driver she wanted to pick something up and he agreed to it with no complaint whatsoever.

She called me and I came outside and entered the vehicle, the man started complaining that she said she was picking “something” not a person that what am I doing in his car.

So my friend tried to explain to him that there is no law on the bolt app against carrying an extra person on your ride, why does he have a problem with it ??

Then we got into an argument this man said we should come down from his car and we refused because we haven’t gotten to our destination yet, this man carried a weapon from under his car seat, came down and was trying to drag my friend out with force !

He dragged her out and beat her mercilessly, please we need justice because we know bolt won’t do anything and we need justice, cause with the way the man brought that thing from under his car, it obvious we are not his first victim.

“I cried too much this year” Ruke Chico Ejiro writes following the death of her brother, Eloviano, months after her father’s death

Ruke Chico Ejiro, the only daughter of the late Nigerian filmmaker, Chico Ejiro, is totally devastated following the death of two close family members in less than one year.

Ruke who calls herself a daddy’s girl, had written a touching tribute to her dad following his passing and she admitted that his death was very hard on her.

In her words then ;

I’ve been a daddy’s girl for 20 years. The only competition I had was my mum.

He never told me no; maybe because I would always bribe him with food all the time Everyone knows my dad as a film maker. I knew him as a chef, a magician, a comedian, a farmer (every house we owned had a little farm at the back), a musician (his voice was actually terrible but I managed it as he would sing along to classic fm blues), a pilot (he took me to school every morning till I got to university and he’d always act like his car was a plane).

His vibe was so contagious, he was a very happy man. I refuse to use those three words they say when people die because I couldn’t have imagined this. Before I could even have time to process it, the whole world already knew. I wish you could’ve at least seen me graduate, it was just a few months away. But this life is unfair and with that, I have come to the final stage of grief – ACCEPTANCE. I love you daddy, I’d always be a daddy’s girl. 26 December 2020

Earlier today, following the sudden death of her brother, Ruky shared a post on her IG story that read ; I cried too much this year.

“Education released from what would have become a generational trap in the dynasty of poverty.” – Anambra-State Governor Elect, Charles Soludo

Charles Soludo, the governor-elect of Anambra state, has taken to his social media page to reminisce on his very humble beginnings.

The former CBN Governor said that as a young man, all he had was a dream of impacting the world. He added that being Educated delivered him from what would have become a generational trap in the dynasty of poverty.

Read his post below ;

Somewhere in Nsukka…

In our days of little beginning, when all we offered the universe was our dreams, propelled by a passion for excellence, our gaze was fixed on leading a successful life and impacting the world around us, positively!

Education came to my rescue, and aided my release from what would have become a generational trap in the dynasty of poverty. There are some, as we had then, who escaped this trap through trade and ingenious craft. In my case education was the saving grace.

Of course, the potent force in education, when properly harnessed, is still capable of rescuing millions of the World’s poor. In the same vein, a robust MSME and conducive business environment is critical in the fight against roving poverty.

In deploying this two, one must be conscious of excellence and critical about mediocrity. These are the options before us, the choice is totally the individual’s to make.
