Nigerian Radio Personality, N6 has visited the site of the collapsed Ikoyi building and he revealed that it is more complicated than what he initially thought.

N6 revealed that the rubble alone is as big as a 10-storey building and several bodies are still unaccounted for.

His tweets read ;

If you Dey look this Ikoyi building that collapsed on your phone it looks small & easily manageable. I passed the site today. The rubble alone is as big as a 10+ storey building. Several bodies unaccounted for + they say Voices can still be heard in the Rubble 3 days later. Frowning face

I honestly do not know where this people will start and finish. This is a Calamity of Horrendous Proportions. Everyone here is super confused and basically just Winging it.

This visit just ruined my entire wknd. I wont get myself for a while. They don’t tell you about how Mangled the discovered bodies are; both the Living and the Dead. Everyone is Exhausted. The Rubble is complicated. Heavy Concrete & Iron. Lift 1 Place; Somewhere else Collapses.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has urged the youths not to be distracted by ‘yahoo boys’ because they will end up in jail.

He advised the youths to make efforts to access various programmes set up by the Federal Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria to support young entrepreneurs and other Nigerians.

The vice-president said this at the first convocation lecture of Kola Daisi University, in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday, November 3, the VP gave examples of many young Nigerians who have made it without cutting corners and urged the graduands and the youth to embrace integrity and character in order to excel in life.

In his words ;

”Don’t be distracted by the yahoo yahoo boys that are coming up one day with fancy cars. Their days are always numbered. They will go to jail one day. The point, of course, is that what is the point of making money when you can’t sleep well at night. All of the examples I’ve given, not one of them has wealthy parents. All of them did most, if not all, their education here in Nigeria.

So, it is important for us to bear in mind that a Nigerian education is an important credential because you understand the terrain and you understand the law of the land. But you must find out about the support that is available either from the private sector or public sector.”

A young lady has taken to social media to seek advice after her husband-to-be asked that she changes the deed of a property bought in her name to his.

According to her, before she met him she already acquired a property where she earns rent from eight rooms annually. However, few months to their wedding he has insisted she would have the property changed to his name, immediately after their marriage to prove her loyalty.

Asking for advice in an anonymous message she shared on social media, she wrote,

“I graduated at 20 did my nysc and got a job where I was paid 250 thousand monthly, I was my parents last born my elder ones are doing well so one disturbs me for money. At my work place real estate agent came and brief us about land issue and how we can pay installmentally which I agree to do it worked it took me 2 years to finish the payment and I with God’s grace I have about 8 two rooms and parlor self con.

Am 28years about to marry TM fixed 28 of Dec. We had a date 2 Sundays ago were we discussed and open up about ourselves and secrets that was when I told him I have a house with 8 tenants in it, I can tell from his expression he was surprised he told me he has none but working towards it.

He has a car, lives in a rented apartment 3rooms and parlour and is comfortable but why am writing this to you is that yesterday night my man to be called and before we end the call he request that after marriage the deed of my house should be transferred to his name, the account number to pay house rent should be his that is how a woman should be under a man I found it strange at the same time I don’t want to sound feminist to him please only intro has been made if am going to get married to him how do I convince him is not possible”.

Rescue operation for survivors trapped in the rubbles of the 21-storey building that collapsed in Ikoyi on Monday has continued.

So far the death toll from the accident has risen from 22 to 36, while nine persons have been rescued from the scene.

However, moments ago a video of a lady tackling the rescue team over their method, found it’s way to the internet and stirred reactions from netizens.

The concerned lady noted that the team’s approach would only cause more damage to the people trapped under the ruins. According to her, if there’s anyone lucky to have survived and trapped, the method the team is using could harm them.

Reacting to the video, an Instagram user @sissy_bambi wrote, “I can feel her pain. How can you people be using Excavators to rescue trapped victims. If they were not dead before, it could even kill them😢”.
